Makes great coffee
This model replaced our first Delonghi coffee maker and we are very satisfied with it.
Love it!
Absolutely worth the money! In my family everyone drinks coffee multiple times a day, so the coffee machine is in use a lot. Everyone loves it, it’s so easy to operate with just 4 buttons you’ll really ever use, but there’s a lot that you can customise as well! It froths milk well, and the nozzle is easy to clean. The machine lets you know when you need to bin the used up coffee (which is dispensed into a little bin you don’t have to worry about most of the time) and also lights up when you need to add water so you don’t have to be guessing why the coffee isn’t pouring. All in all I highly recommend this De’Longhi machine!
Great Coffee, but not perfec
It took a a while to get a coffee I liked to go with this machine, but now I have (Lavazza Expresso Barista) it makes great coffee, which is all that should matter?
Minor downsides:
* The warning lights don’t make it obvious what it needs sorting.
* To change any of the default settings (auto switch off time, water temp, descale interval, etc.) I always have to go to YouTube to go through the steps as the supplied instructions are not clear.
* Use the ground coffee chute for Decaf, but wasted a fair bit at first because the filter unit was in the wrong place – until you get used to it!
* Can run out of water half way through a cup and the only way to fill the cup is to use the kettle
I can live with these irritants as I really like the coffee!

Excellent machine produces top notch coffee
Very happy with this purchase which produces excellent results. Simple to set up and use, we had perfect coffee within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box. Infinitely adjustable by tweaking the various functional and responsive controls. So much better than my old Tassimo machine and no wasteful plastic pods.
Excellent produc
Bought this as an early Christmas gift for me husband and we are both delighted with it. Gorgeous coffee, easy to use and clean, very high quality machine. Matches well with our other kitchen appliances and takes up surprisingly little space. Excellent product.
Good Coffee harder to froth
I love flavour, Fairly Large, frothier is short so small jug which can lead to boiling over, it can need a shake lol when beans run out and adding more to register then. if ground used a large amount needed and cant find a way of selecting one or the other,. i prefer whole beans anyhow as more flavour to me.
OMG and Wow
It arrived this afternoon and the kitchen smells just like your own Costa coffee shop it’d Devine, the taste is just out of this world and you can adjust the quantity and strength so you can make it to your own taste making all of your favorites including cappuccino, latte, espresso and just plain coffee, my wife has just commented to me for all that money you would think Delonghi would have included a voucher for a bag of beans. this machine make great coffee from freshly ground beans in your own kitchen, go get one.
If you can’t get coffee out of i
I found the instructions suboptimal: rather obscure diagrams, the parts list separate from the diagrams so you have to flick between, and no guide to one problem which occurred. But I persevered and am really enjoying the coffee now!
So for anyone struggling with the same thing: if the coffee isn’t coming at all, make sure that the dial on the top right hand corner facing you (the one near the frothy/spouty tap widget) is turned anti-clockwise.
Also, if the red “grounds” light keeps going on even after you’ve cleaned out the coffee grounds, make sure that you take out the tray with the coffee grounds in it whilst the machine is turned on- apparently, if you don’t, the sensor isn’t ever activated, so that the machine believes that the grounds tray is still full.
But it makes good coffee every morning and I’m pleased with it, a month into ownership.
