The best toaster I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of toasters. It feels solid and high quality, it toasts homogeneously and reasonably fast and the timer (although not visible) is good and very progressive.
I far prefer this toaster to the more expensive Dualit to the more classic and more popular Dualit Vario toaster which my parents own.

It actuals toasts bread!
It’s brilliant to be able to lift the bread to check roasting progress without resetting the timer. One sided toasting is excellent for bagels.
Pro tip: you probably won’t need to go much higher than 3 to toast most things, unless you like charcoal. It’s fast!

I like that each side can operate at different setting but it does not toast evenly on both sides – maybe it needs to bed in a bit. Had hoped by spending a bit more it would do a perfect job but it’s not quite 5 star.

You cannot get any better than Dualit… Top of the range toaster. Some might say it is rather expensive but I would rather pay for a good quality product than some second rate nonsense. This toaster is not only stylish, elegant and eye catching, it is also very easy to use and robust. Love my toaster sooooo much that I bought the matching kettle too!!!

First Toaster I have bought that I can actually toast bread beautifully set at number 5. In over 46 years of marriage all the toasters I have bought burn on number 1-2. A joy to be able to colour coordinate it to my new kitchen too.

Perfectly toasty one side, perfectly warm and doughy the other.
The crumb tray is easy to remove and wash.

Quality, but at a price. Looks well, and is well used. We already had the kettle to match and look well at each end of the work-top in a basically white kitchen.

It’s an old well used term but you get what you pay for. Expensive but a very well consructed, sturdy toaster and it looks so good; Delighted with product.

Had Thai since the turn of 2017. Fab toaster. The quick peak option to draw up that which is being toasted withoutbibtwremferibg with the overall timer is great. Bagel roasting is a breeze and it’s dualit durable. The exterior has readily retained its luster and its used on a daily basis!! Rarely any more burnt toast!!
After almost a years service I cannot fault this. It looks good and toasts well. With the (optional) sandwich cages it makes superb toasties. One occasion on completing a toast it did trip the house circuit but then our earth leakage is incredibly sensitive.

Great toasters, ours is used at work and produces approx 24 slices every day. Last one worked for 18 months at same work load.
It is big! We like it as we have a big new kitchen, so it doesn’t look out of place, but check the dimensions before ordering as it could take up a lot of space! but great for family breakfast’s (2 adults +2 kids) or when we have guests!!
This however is A gem in a sea of rubbush. Yes it’s a bit more than your average toaster, but it’s well designed and we’ll build and doesn’t feel really cheap and flimsy like everything else around.

A great purchase, serves a family of 6 well, the toaster does take a bit of getting used to each level of toasting power, but apart from that had no issues over the last few months of use. Expect the toaster to last for a good few years because the build quality is very good. (It should do for the price though )

Brilliant toaster. We don’t seem to be able to keep a toaster working well for more than a few months but this one has lasted very well so far and looks to be fully functional for some time to go as it is well built.
We bought this toaster to replace are 2 toaster Dualit and we are very happy. The best feature of it all is the check toast button. No more popping up and then putting back down again. You just slide up, check, and release without stopping.
I’m not entirely sure what the bagel button does. I bought some bagels just to try it out but it didn’t seem to make much of a difference to the normal route.

Thought we would never find a decent toaster. This one works great and looks good too. Predictable toasting, easy controls. The only thing we miss is a “beep” to tell you the toast is done which the last toaster had. But other than that this is far superior in every way. The “peek” funciont in particular is very helpful when trying to gauge toasting time for a new type of bread…

Great toaster. This was ordered to replace an old tefal which has only had 2 of it’s four slots working for the last 5 years or so. The toasting is much more even than the old one and each subsequent slice not overdone with the last. The peek and look feature is excellent too. It also looks excellent in the kitchen.

Quite an industrial looking toaster but we love it and it fits in well with our kitchen design. Takes a bit of getting used to in terms of getting that right level of crispyness for our homemade bread but in the end well worth the money. Toasts evenly and a plus having the 4 slice version which means we can all have warm bread at the same time.
fantastic toaster – the first one we received was actually faulty, but Amazon replaced within 24 hours so guess we were just unlucky. it toasts evenly, and the controls are simple and robust. we have since bought different coloured side panels to match the kitchen which is a nice touch as i’d spent ages trying to colour match a toaster, and failed. The design is sleek and modern, it feels well built and sturdy, and above all it does a good job of toasting !!!
I was a bit nervous about spending a lot of money on a Dualit toaster, especially after some of the negative reviews. I have been absolutely delighted with my purchase. The wide slots cam accommodate thick bread, crumpets, pain au chocolat etc. after fiddling around with the settings I now know exactly which settings to use to get perfectly toasted bread and pastries. The peek facility is very useful too.

I have been meaning to treat ourselves to a “decent” toaster for ages but have been putting up with the old one for far too long. This Dualit toaster is fabulous, it looks the part and it really does perform well . It is substantial and I think I will have this for years to come.

I owned the other shape dualit toaster until my evil x wife got it as part of the divorce (and every other item I worked hard for 24 years to obtain) so I thought I would try this item as the other looks a bit dated now. It works great, looks the part and seems to be very well built, its so good I bought another as a gift for friends. Tip Top and worth the money.
I ordered this based on the Dualit brand. It looks great, but you can’t do one slice and if you toast two slices, then put two more in the same slot without adjusting the temperature it can burn on the same setting. My only criticism is that the ‘lift up’ facility, hardly lifts up at all. So if toasting English muffins or waffles, you need to use tongs to remove them as they’re hot and so is the metal surround and the lift up doesn’t lift them enough to remove without burning your fingers. Has taken a while to get used to but love it.
I love this toaster. It looks stylish, has nice, wide slots and toasts evenly. But by far the redeeming feature is the quality of toasties. Had my first one the other day and it was quite possibly the best toastie I’ve ever had, despite it appearing burnt – didn’t taste burnt though, which was odd. You’ll need to buy the toastie baskets separately to make toasties, which is the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars as I think it would be nice if Dualit included a couple of toastie baskets in with the toaster purchase. Takes a while to get used to what setting you need for various things (we eat a lot of crumpets and still haven’t quite got it right) but the `lift and peek’ function means it’s not a problem if you keep your eye on it. Toasts pretty quickly, too. And it has nice blue lights on the dials. And you can change the side panels to match your kitchen, though I’m happy with the chrome ones myself. All in all, I would recommend this toaster.

I have owned my previous Dualit toaster for over 16 years and never once in that time did it fail me. Never once did I need to replace the elements! and that was continual use over a 16 year period. I didn’t buy it new either, I bought it from a business that sold cafe products after cafe’s had gone out of business and I bought it for 40 which was a lot for a 2nd hand toaster back then but it was and still is worth every penny I spent on it. So, why have I bought this one here that I am reviewing if my previous Dualit still works perfectly? Well, I now don’t buy shop bought bread and make all my bread home-made with my Panasonic Bread Maker (which makes awesome bread by the way!) and the ‘slots’ on my previous Dualit are simply too narrow to cope with the thickness of home-made bread slices. I plan to sell that on eBay and some lucky person will get a great toaster that works perfectly with shop-bought bread. So, on to my new toaster – the Dualit Architect 4-Slot Toaster, Canvas White ….
Firstly, its design perfection, it looks really good in my kitchen. I like the look of premium appliances and this beauty fits in perfectly with my other appliances. Its sturdy, chunky and exceptionally well made. Sleek lines, sparkling chrome and a perfect white. As soon as it arrived this morning I unpacked and re-arranged my kitchen so that I could display it and use it to its best. I then cut 2 THICK slices of bread from my loaf and they fit in perfectly. The cages inside the slots close around your bread so whatever size you put it in them the slices are held securely. The slots are beautifully WIDE – a whopping 40mm *big smile* and will easily take Bagels. No more toasting Bagels under the grill in my oven which takes forever and uses so much more electricity. A favourite feature of mine of Dualit toasters is the ‘look, see’ facility. Simply lower the bar and the toast pops up so you can see if its done to your liking yet, if not, pop it back down. The controls are sturdy and work perfectly, the blue LED pretty! and my toast was toasted to perfection, even to the top of the slices. No burning and no missed bits. You can toast just two slices at a time and you only power the side that you are using if you are just making two slices. So, no waste of electricity powering the unused slots.
I am delighted and fully expect to have this toaster for the next 16 years. Dualit screams quality to me and once again I have not been disappointed.

I plan to sell that on eBay and some lucky person will get a great toaster that works perfectly with shop-bought bread. So, on to my new toaster – the Dualit Architect 4-Slot Toaster, Canvas White ….
Firstly, its design perfection, it looks really good in my kitchen. I like the look of premium appliances and this beauty fits in perfectly with my other appliances. Its sturdy, chunky and exceptionally well made. Sleek lines, sparkling chrome and a perfect white. As soon as it arrived this morning I unpacked and re-arranged my kitchen so that I could display it and use it to its best. I then cut 2 THICK slices of bread from my loaf and they fit in perfectly. The cages inside the slots close around your bread so whatever size you put it in them the slices are held securely. The slots are beautifully WIDE – a whopping 40mm *big smile* and will easily take Bagels. No more toasting Bagels under the grill in my oven which takes forever and uses so much more electricity. A favourite feature of mine of Dualit toasters is the ‘look, see’ facility. Simply lower the bar and the toast pops up so you can see if its done to your liking yet, if not, pop it back down. The controls are sturdy and work perfectly, the blue LED pretty! and my toast was toasted to perfection, even to the top of the slices. No burning and no missed bits. You can toast just two slices at a time and you only power the side that you are using if you are just making two slices. So, no waste of electricity powering the unused slots.
I am delighted and fully expect to have this toaster for the next 16 years. Dualit screams quality to me and once again I have not been disappointed.
