Long term review
Mine is over five years old now and still going strongly. It’s been excellent. Sturdy, boils fast, pours well, easy to clean and fill. Everything you’d want from a kettle.

The nearest match to existing Toaste
Could not find a match from De’Longhi, so went for this one. VERY PLEASED. Not cheap, but worth it. Lid is a bit difficult to open, but hope will loosen with use.

This is my second one of these. “Which” said it was the best kettle they’d ever tested… (the original one that is). I think there are things about the old kettle that I prefer, and it kept on going for years after the filter broke. Eventually I retired it for safety reasons because the water-level windows were cracking (though they must be double skin, because they are cracking on the inside, and not the outside). The newer one is a bit more glitzy and maybe the metal is slightly thinner, and, I suspect won’t last as long – but it’s still a really great kettle!
They are not repairable.

Very pleased with my new kettle. Looks good. Not too noisy switches of quite promptly when it boils. Can’t fault it and would recommend. Comes in a variety of colours too.
Not reliable after 13 months
I would have expected the kettle to last for quite a few years. After 13 months, it is switching itself off as soon as the power button is pressed. If we stand and repeat it 4-5 times, it engages, but who wants to do that? Disappointing.

It has a speedy rapid boil feature which is great as I only use it for making my tea, hubby has his Jura coffee machine. It looks the part too, shiny chrome and a nice modern looking kettle accented with black. BPA free dual windows with measurement markers make it clear to see your fill levels. I hope this kettle lasts me another decade. Matches my Dualit chrome toaster which has lasted years too. Its designed and engineered in Britain. Just love this British brand.

A classy kettle which I’m assured overcomes previous models’ reliability issues. After six months it’s still running like new. Very happy.

Gave 5 stars to flavour but do not know how this pertains to a kettle but did not want to take away any stars, as this is a first rate kettle.

Quality well made kettle. Typical Dualit exceptional standard. It’s reasonably quiet and very quick to boil with no exposed element. Easy to use and very solid.
You get what you pay for.....
Without a doubt this is a very expensive kettle, however the build quality is very good which you would expect for the price. The previous Dualit model lasted 4 years before the element packed in. The best thing for me was the kettle was delivered 24 hours after placing the order.

Lovely looking kettle, expensive but stylish. Only fault is that the lid is very stiff, I can foresee the plastic hinges breaking within a few years.
Will always buy a duali
This is our second kettle as we have bought over the years various makes but dualit is the strongest as our kettle is a work horse through the day up until 9pm every day !! It lasted approx 2.5 years where all the others have lasted approx 6mths well made sturdy kettle will always buy a duali
Nice kettle but small for a large family
The kettle is good quality and has a good finish. The lid is a very tight fit and very difficult to open if you need to boil more water soon after the kettle has boiled. You’re advised not to fill up using the spout but no reason is given and due to the tight lid at times I have had to do this.
A VERY SPEEDY BOIL

I was unsure whether to purchase another Dualit Kettle as the write-ups were not good. However, as I had had my previous Dualit Kettle since April 2004 I re-ordered. So far, so good. It boils water quickly and is quiet. I hope it carries on that way. Can’t fault it so far.

Our Dualit kettle in red was bought in September 2010 and just gave up the ghost today! Excellent quality to have lasted so long and used every single day of it’s life. RIP!

Kettle looks good, pleased with it in my kitchen. Very bright white.
Have only had it 3 days. Can’t really fault it. Other than my only negative is that there is no button/mechanism to open the lid. I was used to my previous kettle having this feature. The lid is slightly stiff but perhaps this will lessen with use. Only a minor gripe, I should have read the product features description more thoroughly.
Any recommendations on best way to clean the stainless steel would be welcome.

It seems there have been some subtle changes – for the better. The switch which was giving us the trouble now feels much more positive in its action. The base which was previously black, now has a smart chrome face. The lid has a smoother open/close action – although this is of course was adjustable anyway. Even the red ‘on’ light seems slightly bigger and brighter.
Kettle noise and boiling time seem much as before. Which is to say – perfectly acceptable. If it lasts at least as long as its predecessor, I shall consider it very good value.

Well, it didn’t last as long! The replacement would occasionally FAIL to switch off and none of the possible suggested causes seem to apply. So the replacement was itself replaced in May.
So far the replacement’s replacement has performed perfectly. Hopefully this is a quality control problem effecting a small number of these kettles that Dualit are resolving.

Brilliant stylish Kettle
I absolutely adore my new dualit kettle. It’s well and substantially made, very good quality. BPA free, and retro feel. …very attractive. Boils quickly and quietly. Also can boil just 1 cup.
Reviews have said lid stiff to open..It’s because it’s substantially made, so just hold spout and pull lid open. It will last year’s. I had one which has moved to another location though still working!!

Back to favourite kettle!
Our previous Dualit had given up after about 9 years and we decided on a change – BAD MOVE!! We bought a kettle which made the water taste odd – the lid was plastic and the spout positively dangerous. So after two weeks of aggro back to reliable favourite of Dualite . Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that they have changed the inside of the lid which makes it a bit stiff to open and close but apart from that its great.

The name colour Canvas white kettle is same as cream kettle
The best brand of kettle is this, yes it’s expensive but lasts a long time bonus it’s not heavy or noisy & looks great.
it’s easy to clean the outside of the kettle the colour is called canvas white we used to get the colour called cream but that’s discontinued and been replaced with canvas white and I’m happy to say it looks like our toaster which is cream so I think it’s a new name because it’s not white.

Dropped my dualit overy four feet onto semi hard floor !Lucky it was empty at the time and I only dented the spout.Bizarrely it still pours perfectly drip free and over two years on this kettle still works as good as the day it was bought. Bought to relace a second very smelly Bosch plastic kettle, leaching BPA into water. The Dualit is Stainless Steel with BPA free window. But why fit black flex and plug to a white base and kettle, looks naff in a white socket! Should be a choice of black or white. Dualit -take note.

Replaced one i bought about 5 years ago. Button started getting stuck in the on position and was just old. New one fine, does furr up quite quick but we have ‘hard water’ so best to clean every 2-3 months.

The only criticism I might make is the water level indicator, our old kettle lived in a darkish corner but this one needs a bit of light so that you can see it properly.
