—How to calibrate the gimbal—
a. Install you phone, enter APP-Settings-Firmware Information-Latest Firmware (1.007)
b. If it is not the latest firmware, click “Upgradeâ€, and then click “One-Key Calibrationâ€
c. Power on, press mode button in normal working state for a while, when the green LED light becomes steady, place the gimbal on a level surface. Please note that the phone must be attached down on the surface.
d. Wait until the green LED is off, calibration completed.
e. If you cannot calibrate the product through the above steps, please try to use the “Minor adjustment”.
—Bluetooth Connection Problem and APP Connection—
a. Please be noted that the bluetooth and gimbal must be connected directly in the App “Hohem Gimbal”, rather than connecting in the bluetooth list of smartphone setting, the bluetooth light ONLY ON when gimbal connected with app successfully.

By no means the most expensive gimbal out there but it works well. I have used it many times now, I find for doing selfie videos it is really stable, but when walking with it facing forward there seems to be more shake (which may be my walk rather than the gimbals fault). So far 5/5.
I would say it loses a star with the panning up and down, left and right. Sometimes when I do it it moves slowly, but then suddenly speeds up. I find it it better to physically move.
Battery life is very good though.

Amazing product for photos and video, a bit difficult to get used to the controls but it only takes 5 minutes of use to get used to
I bought this to do some outdoor filming and was not disappointed. The gimbal is very easy to use and is good value for money. The free app has a great range of video options and is very well laid out.
One major downside to this Gimbal is when held at certain angles, it seems to become confused and will rotated in the opposite direction to the direction you input through the joystick. The free app also kills the battery life on your phone so use it sparingly or have a power bank with you if doing a lot of filming. You can use the regular camera app that your phone comes with, you just can’t start and stop the recording using the gimbal’s own power button.

I made so many nice videos with this one. Really affordable and good quality.
I’m really impressed with this gimbal – it’s deceptively light but holds the phone very securely and is really easy to get to grips with. Using the app gives you the greatest variety of options for capturing images but even just pairing it via bluetooth and using the camera works really well. There are a couple of attachment points – one to attach it to a tripod (although I haven’t done that) and a second on the clamp which is probably for attaching a microphone holder. I use a mic with a lightning connector which did initially present a problem – the lightning socket is cradled by the gimbal clamp normally – but by reversing the orientation of the camera I did get it to work eventually. Very good value for money, silent in operation and remarkably effective. Very happy indeed.

Really great amateur gimbal! Makes it very easy to film my YouTube videos from my phone with full stabilization. It makes the footage look like it was shot from a professional camera. Really like the design, and the in built powerbank is a really great feature! Have enjoyed using this gimbal so far, and hope it helps my vlogging career!

Wow. what a product. Does all things on the box, expected for an 80 quid piece. – there is nothing similar to it for a cheaper price, if you want something that moves and holds steady compared to the handle and handler. Bluetooth operated I think too (but optional) otherwise just lock phone in – use with a smartphone lens on top eg. wide lens for best action shots for feature film esque quality etc. Battery is quite long – and nice smooth grip – lots of different modes relative to gravity – but can get wishy washy and move not how you want it if you go too fast – aka – plan what pose position you wish to use before use.

Been wanting a gimbal for a while now, It’s so easy to use & provides quality
Easy to set up.
At the moment I find it was easy to set up out of the box, it doesn’t take long to re charge. And everything works fine even on android phones why others give it less than three stars beats me it is what it is for the price.
I really didn’t expect a great deal from this, not because it was cheap, I would probably say it is fare priced, but because I bought it somewhat on a whim on a drunken night, when I was planning the shooting of a super low budget screen play. and had given up using our DSLR camera in favour of IPhones. As such I wanted a Steadycam in an attempt to get smoother footage from the phones.
As a Steadycam it work superbly, what I didn’t expect was the additional modes which allow for potentially useful in shot FX. I also didn’t expect the App to be much use. But again it is surprisingly competent. With the ability to alter speed of zoom, tilts etc. And the ability to shoot in 1080p at 24Fps (a single and important setting which is not available natively to the IPhone) My only constructive criticism is I would have like to see a separate slide for Focus and Zoom. Instead of the present singular one which is alternated in App, I suspect this will be addressed in later models. But until then I would request that Hohem alter the app slightly to make make the swap between the use of the slider to have significantly larger buttons, as at present the app buttons are very small and despite me having small fingers it is an unnecessary fiddle especially when one is filming and requires an instant change between focus and zoom. All told this is an excellent product that is good value for money especially considering it is cheaper than mid range tripods that it not only replaces in many regards but adds the availability of additional filmmaking techniques.

Wanted to start videography so I decided to get this gimbal to improve my video quality and it done just the job! Would recommend to beginners who want to start off!
I was debating between the DJI Osmo mobile 3 and this, but the premium look of this product persuaded me to purchase it. A decision I did not regret. Although the product has weight to it, I like it as it makes it feel more premium. Also, it has a lot of features that have been fun to play around with, such as face tracking and it has inspired me to try new things in my video production.
I good all rounder, software could use a few tweaks
I bought this product to allow 1 person vlogging (face tracking), and for image stability when walking and filming. I’ve only had it out of the box for a few hours, but I’ve been able to test the functionality in a bit of a stress test sort of way.
The smoothness of the system is brilliant, image stability is exactly as expected, and the face tracking feature is great. However, some of the icons on the iOS app aren’t intitive. I’m trying to figure out what does what, but for the most part it’s spot on and works really well, perhaps a feature tour would help? I especially love the 180 and 360 pano options!
I’d recommend this product, as it does what it says on the tin!

I have researched for a gimbal for a while, hens found this 3-X stabilizing gimbal. Delivery was next day as stated on amazon, the gimbal is a great quality product, looks firm and not Fragile, I had to charge it for another 2 hours and was ready to use.
I uploaded the Hohem App to my phone, which was very easy to use and start using the gimbal.

I did a lot of searching before buying this particular gimbal and I am thoroughly satisfied. I have used it a handful of times now and it has performed well so far. I am still getting used to it but for now, I have very little to complain about. Battery life is awesome, pic quality depends on the device used. It is easy to use, the handle is slightly bigger than I would have liked, also could have had a strap to attach to your wrist in case it falls, however, I have done that myself. The app is seamless and works brilliantly. Without being too technical, this gimbal works brilliantly.

I am new to recording & filmmaking and I bought this as it seemed to be a great balance between features and cost. It doesn’t take long to get used to and is capable of some amazing things, I was very impressed with how much I can move the handle with the phone staying still. It is very strong build quality and doesn’t feel cheap or tacky at all and everything about it feels professional.
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the app it comes with has a face/object tracking mode, and it works well for awhile but if the subject that is being tracked moves off the screen then it seems to lock the phone orientation to the right and I have to turn it off and on again to reset. This won’t be a problem for me as I won’t be using the face tracking feature – and since it is an issue with the software then it is feasible for it to be updated and fixed, however that is the only thing that didn’t work as planned.
In summary this product is fantastic for a beginner like myself however I have no doubt than an experienced user will have a great time with it. The joystick and zoom controls are a fantastic feature as well that really put you in control.

Easy setup with smooth videos
I’m not tech savvy but I’m finding this Hohem gimbal very easy to use,setting up was so easy and if you do get stuck then there are lots of videos to help I’ve never had a gimbal before but needed something that’ll give my videos a bit more of a professional look and wow what a difference best feature I like is the tracking and sport mode going to have hours of fun learning what this amazing gadget can do but best of all great memories.

As this is my first camera accessory purchase, on a budget, I have to say this was a fantastic purchase. So happy with the product.
This is my first gimbal and I never had any previous experience using one. I find it very nicely designed and easy to instal. I watched plenty of videos before it arrived, so by the time I held it in my hand I worked with it smoothly.
As I am a small person (5″1′) I found it a bit heavy if used long. I’m a runner and I wanted to take something with me for my long trail runs for tracking and showing routes. It’s gonna be a great company on my training or trail discovery runs but I will not take them for races as the mandatory kit takes up all my bag space and this would be a bit big and heavy.
On difficult terrain the gimbal was a bit wobbly but after adjusting it this problem was solved.
All in all, I’d recommend this product. Great fun!

I’ve been playing around with this in the house, but haven’t taken it out into the real world yet. The product is very sturdy and heavy. It feels expensive. It’s fairly easy to use, but takes so time remembering how many times you need to press the mode button to get the desired effect. I think it would have been better if there were separate mode buttons on it, instead of pressing the same button multiple times. Also, you have to press the button a different number of times than what is stated in the instruction. For example it says press 3 times, and the mode light will flash 3 times, but in fact you need to press it 4 times to get that mode.
The multi-axis thumbstick isn’t great at moving diagonally, you have to move it horizontally and then vertically most of the time. Not ideal, but then with the different modes you can just turn the device to the direction you want to pan to, and the gimbal will move itself to that position nice and smoothly. I’ve not used a gimbal before, so have nothing to compare it to, but I’m pretty happy with my purchase.

For the price I paid, 70 on a lighnting deal, I can’t fault this product wanted to try a gimbal without spending too much as I wasn’t sure how much use it would get. This has met my expectations and for my needs I doubt I’ll bother going for a more expensive model. The software is pretty good and the device is easy to use and gives good results for my use case.

I love it, and here’s why……..
Firstly, the gimbal is very well made, lightweight and comes complete with a carry case, an important extra which will make a big difference when I use it later in the year on holidays and other filming. The controls are well laid out and easy to operate while keeping a grip of the device. It came abiut 75% charged, but I still followed the instructions and charged it up to 100%, which took less than 20 minutes. Once charged, and downloaded the app onto my Samsung S9+ (very easily) I set about balancing my phone on the gimbal (before turning the gimbal on – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, mentioned several time on the instruction video’s and booklet, do please don’t ignore). Balancing took seconds and I was ready to go, bluetooth all connected, time to start filming and playing………
The operation is very smooth, and I struggled to hear the motors going. You can do everything from the controls on the gimbal but you can do even more my selcting options on your screen phone if you want to, once I got to grips with the basic controls, I had to play with this one of thes gimbals best features, the inception mode. This works brilliantly and allows you to film a revolving shot – look at the many youtube explanation video’s for more information. And on the subject of youtube, the manufactures have loaded up lots of useful how to guides, instuctions and tips, so make some time to watch as many of these as you can, it makes using the gimbal a lot easier, if it wasn’t easy enough already, and you will get much more enjoymant out of your gimbal.
For value for money, this is a no brainer, I honestly beleive this is the best gimbal you can buy for less than 100, yes there are cheaper ones, and yes there are better ones (that cost a lot more) but from the reviews I sam from users of other gimbals, they nearly all said this was the best value for money gimbal out today.

It holds the mobile firmly, terrific battery life. Easy to use. Only thing that worried me before buying this was that the mobile had to be balanced before turning the device on, and I thought it might be a pain. It’s so simple and only take a few seconds to do. Loosen a screw, slide the bracken then tighten the screw. If you are usinging it for a few hours then it can put a bit of a strain on your wrist. It has a rubber cap covering the usb socket, but I wouldn’t use it in the rain. The motors make no noise that can be picked up by the mobiles mic.
This was a Christmas present and I’ve had a month of use before writing this review.
This was one of those gifts that I never knew I needed. Indeed, when I first opened it I wondered why on earth my spouse though it constituted a good idea at all. As soon as got to grips with it, I immediately realized the benefits. When used in the hand-held mode it massively increases the stability of shot and the tracking features when used conjunction with the app are incredible. My only slight frustrations are that it can be difficult to balance in portrait mode and you cannot charge whilst shooting (due to balance issues).

This is a solid piece of kit that comes with it’s own carry case. I went on YouTube to find out how to set it up and operate properly. The stability is excellent, the motors are very quiet and battery lasts ages. The app is easy to download and use. Overall very happy with this purchase. Well recommended.
Purchased this for business use and, so far, I am very pleased. The best place to find out how it all works are the YouTube videos. It would have been good to have had a bit more instruction “in the box”. The only issue I have had ss the BlueTooth connection with my phone is not always great. I found that switching the phone off and on seems to help (it’s not the only device my phone has trouble with – so this is a “phone issue” for me). The only other gripe is that the icons could be clearer on the display (see photo) for someone like me who wears glasses. You have to memorise what each one represents.
The early results have been very pleasing with some good videos produced. There is a different mindset needed to produce really good fotage and that comes from practice and experimentation (again, there are useful videos on YouTube that give tips and advice).
Overall, I am really pleased with the product.

Great quality for the price
I am completely new to using this sort of technology, i had no idea how it worked when i bought it but i read some positive reviews about it and decided to give it a go and i’m glad i did! The set up is really easy, it is pretty much just turn on and go. I tested it by running around like a lunatic, swinging the camera from side to side, jumping up and down and the picture remained steady and smooth. Really happy with this product!

This arrived in the post just this morning and I am already absolutely obsessed with this gimbal. The fluidity of movement I am able to capture with it is outstanding, and not just an improvement on, but a whole new level to the quality of transition I could capture with just my hands stabilising the phone.
It is chargeable with a regular USB style ending to plug into a regular socket, so no batteries are required and the gimbal came completely in tact after postage, with a protective case and easy-to-use manual.
For beginner, amateur or experienced phone filmmakers, vloggers or just to capture your memories in a professional, high-quality manner, this gimbal is a must-have.

This gimbal is a great quality product, feels very sturdy, is well designed. I bought it for my iPhone 11 and it fits well into the the gimbals grip. As far as stabilisation goes… it’s absolutely perfect. It keeps your picture/video image perfectly steady and really enables you to take amazing/ professional-looking footage.
There isnt really much I can say to fault it. Some other reviews mentioned that its cheap but great for the price, but personally I cant see what the more expensive gimbals could have that this one doesnt.
ice and light weight, solid build and best of all comes with its own case and doubles as a power bank.
found the translated instructions a little confusing at first but got my head round them, had to install app direct from playstore but may be the qr reader i downloaded messing up. focus / tracking only work with the app, if you have a 4k phone it wont record 4k with the app so just record direct from your phone the gimbal works just fine.
very happy with it will report back in a few months of use to see if it holds up

I’m studying media at college and I needed a decent stabilizer for my filming. However, stabilizers for dslrs were expensive, heavy and complicated.
I thought of getting a decent phone stablizer as I’ve seen footage of them online. I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S7 which isn’t brand new but a still decent phone (decent camera) and it works flawlessly with this stabilizer.
I was absolutely blown away when viewing my quick test video out, it illiminated all shake and made the movement feel cinematic.
Running with the stabilizer is incredible as the video looks as if recorded on a dolly.
The use of the joystick is an essential need for a handheld stablizer as it allows you to create smooth panning movement and/or move the camera without turning.
The only problem I’ve encountered is understanding how to properly rotate into portrait mode. But after rereading the instructions and testing it out I got the hang of it.
Overall this is a very good, affordable way to smoothen and stablize your filming to make it look more cinematic and aesthetic.
Super easy to get set up
Really easy to set up and brilliant fun to use! The first gimbal I’ve bought and will be great to use in holiday.
Having received this Gimbal a few weeks back I have finally found time to do more than check the contents of the box. Before I go into my initial impressions let’s quickly go over that.
The first thing you will be impressed by when you open the packaged is the moulded carry case that snuggly contains gimbal, mini tripod and charging cable. Also inside the packaging is a useful quick start guide and a warranty card. When you pick up the gimbal for the first time you’ll be struck by how solid feeling it is in the hand.
A quick word of warning – do read the Quick Start before fettling with the item; you shouldn’t be turning things on without your phone attached and you’ll need the app on your phone before you begin. This took me all of thirty seconds to achieve and then I was away.
I put my device on charge as it suggests but found the battery level already at 98% so without any further ado I began tilting and tracking and saying things like “wow” and “this is so easy to use” and I was right – there is almost zero learning curve here. If you secure your phone correctly then straight out the box you’ll be able to film smooth video and take shake-free pictures without a hitch.
More advanced techniques such as the panorama mode, face tracking mode, etc I have not yet got to (I’ll come back and edit this review once I have explored these features).
Would I recommend this? On these first impressions I’m pretty blown away by the quality – it is far sturdier feeling than I expected and the ability to charge the phone from the gimbal battery (and charge the gimbal at the same time I think) is pretty awesome for my use case which will involve quite long usage times.
I cannot wait to use this “for real” for the first time and see just how it improves the videos I produce.
The product arrived pretty quickly…..prime is the way forward! The product itself on initial review is fantastic. Its made extremely well, with all the features you could want from a gimball. I do suggest viewing some of the youtube videos that are suggested by the company as these really are easy to follow and will make you that much more comfortable with your new toy. One downfall is that you have to always use the app that is suggested to use the zoom function, rather than simply opening up your phone app and shooting directly from there, but this is a really minor point. I have been looking at many other brands of gimballs, and so far i can say i am really happy with this one. lets see how things develop over the next few months.
Nice, well built Gimbal, they provide you with a YouTube link to help get you started but its best to just have a play around yourself.
Switching from portrait to landscape mode is tedious so that’s something to consider.
Good, but make sure you balance the gimbal before using it ...
This is a well made piece of kit. It is not small or light, but is good to hold in the hand, and the weight adds to the steadiness. Needs proper balancing before switching on … make sure you do it!

Great IOS gimbal device for videography enthusiasts
Really cool gimbal device perfect for beginners, and compatible with any IOS or Android phone. The stability is sturdy when moving rigorously which gives great seamless videos. Instructions given were easy to follow. I think one downfall is that the different “modes” don’t seem too different from one another, perhaps explained examples in the instructions would help with utilising the different modes.

Light weight easy to use
Really enjoying using this. I make YouTube videos and really new to the Gimbal technology. I find this easy to us and brings professionalism to my shots. It’s also light weight and easy to carry around which makes it more convenient to use.
I recently ordered this product for general amateur use for making videos as a hobby every now and again, and overall i’m very happy with it and all it’s exciting features. Perfect for someone trying to go to a semi professional standard of video making.
Pros:
Motors in the gimbal are very quiet and almost produce no sound, if they do then the recording device doesn’t pick it up
Perfect size for phones, I am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max which is the heaviest and largest iphone as of now, and it holds and fits the phone perfectly
There is a very useful manual that tells you everything you need to know about how to use it and when to use the different modes, the company have uploaded youtube videos to accompany the manual for an easier setup
Cons:
Not many bad things about the product. Maybe the app that accompanies it could be updated to be more user friendly.
The handle could have a better grip by changing the material, right now it feels as if it could slip out of my hand at any time
A bit disappointed that there were no other colours available, would’ve been nice to have some choice
Using this gimbal in combination with a cheap smartphone such as the Xioami Mi 9 Lite which has a sony IMX586 sensor will give you quality footage that is genuinely comparable to a DSLR. This is how I plan to start creating content online, and man has this gimbal made it easy to envision.
Whilst Hohem’s gimbal app is relatively custom and proprietary and doesn’t have any support for more standard applications such as Filmic Pro, I’m not personally bothered by this fact, since it produces quality footage. The firmware is all that matters to me and it has solid firmware
The only genuine problem I have had with it is the lack of grip on the joystick.
Bought as a present for partner, he loves it. The product is easy to use and there are plenty of video clips to aid for use if anyone struggles with any aspect of this “gadget”. The seller included all the websites to view if you want a more advanced use of the product, but even for a complete novice this is a brilliant item and will be well used over the coming years – no more shaky holiday videos!! *****

I’m not a tech person, I just wanted a “selfie stick” without the camera shaking, does exactly what it says on the tin, from a non professional, I’m very happy with it.
Extremely happy with this product and its astounding for the price point. As a semi beginner to intermediate user of such products I couldn’t have wished for much more! I’m into amateur film making so I am getting loads of use out of this already. Very simple to use and lightweight without feeling insecure and sturdy.
