Lucy Liu like many other dogs is frequently bothered with hot spots. We tried a vet cone which was awful, Lucy hated wearing it. We then moved on to an inflatable collar which was better, but we were fed up with the poor quality and the only choice being either boring blue or dull grey, so we decided to bring out our own, hence the unique sprinkled doughnut design.

Initially we thought it was a great product for our dogue de bordeaux. It looks great, fits well, looks comfortable however it didn’t take him much effort to whip his leg up and investigate his (now missing) Crown Jewels.
He can get to the scar easily which defeats the point in the product. Saying that he absolutely loves it and doesn’t want it taken off so we’ve resorted in his wearing of it and making him wear boxers to keep everything hidden away from his roaming tongue.
I hope this helps for other large breed owners.
Bert (Dobermann) went in for a ruptured cruciate ligament operation and I was dreading the e-collar post op, as they stress him out so much due to the restricted fitting, knocking it on walls and furniture etc ( I understand why they are used by the way) BUT I needed an alternative for him.
So I purchased the doughnut, did worry would it work or not, could he get if off, could he reach his wound, would it puncture easily, I will admit I was worried!!
I’d like to say I have a happy dog after his operation, he cannot reach the wound even though I have had to put two doughnuts on him ( inflate to meet your dogs needs), but he can sleep, eat and drink independently and the biggest thing is he is NOT anxious or stressed so helping him to recover in a calm and relaxed manner. My pup had an operation and hated her cone — it was too big and impacted her ability to walk, adding to her stress. We tried medical body suits, but she would lick through to the wound whenever our eyes left her (leaving her prone to infection). We then stumbled upon this inflatable collar and it’s been a game changer — she actually enjoys wearing it, and uses it as a pillow even when we take it off! Throw in the added bonus of us getting a chuckle at our little doughnut dog, it’s an easy win!
I bought this for my Jack Russell dog after his neuter operation. It worked well, he couldn’t reach his wound and although he didn’t ever love having it on, he did tolerate it well – unlike the hard plastic cone! He went ballistic with that on and really hated it. It wasn’t a super easy inflate but managed fine, I had to push hard to get the inflating valve down into the donut so it didn’t stick out but again managed it ok. Would recommend the donut!

At last a dog cone alternative that didn’t cause distress.
We purchased this cone alternative following our Spaniel having a lump removed. He was so miserable in the plastic cone supplied from the Vets, so with nothing to lose we thought we would try this out.
Well someone was happier as soon as he was wearing it – big enough that he couldn’t reach his stitches and comfortable enough that he learnt it doubled up as a nice comfy pillow when snoozing 🙂
We went for the Large size to make sure there was no way he could nibble his stitches.
Definitely recommend this product.

My 7 month old springer had surgery and this has been brilliant for her. Slept all night with it no problem and hasn’t once tried to get it off. Size medium, I’d say it’s a little on the bigger side as she fits a paw in beside her head when she sleeps but she can’t reach her stitches. I think if I sized down then she would have been able to get to them.
Much prefers this to a normal cone. No crashing and banging. Can still eat and drink. She actually still plays when we tried this on, not that I will want her playing when she has her op. Plus the doughnut design is cute.
Our Glen Terrier puppy had minor surgery on 2 of his paws. We bought this collar hoping it would be more comfortable than the traditional plastic collar. It’s easy to inflate and put on. He finds it a lot more comfortable than the other collar which was awkward when trying to reach his food bowls etc. With this inflatable doughnut, he has a large range of movement, can still eat and drink, and it’s a lot better for sleeping in. As well as this, he can’t reach his wounds, so it serves all intended purposes. A great purchase, I’d highly recommend it.
I bought this for my bichon, and as it was larger, it was perfect, as she was unable to reach her hind quarters, and looked a bit stiff in it but slept very well as it seemed to cushion her head. Much better than a small one and much more comfortable than the buster collar from the vets. 100% recommended
My cockerpoo has recently been spayed. I purchased an all in one suite from the vets to stop her getting to the stitches, the day after her op she had found a way to get to them> I then tried the plastic cone which she hated and would only stand in the middle of the room and would not move. In desperation I ordered the Donut it arrived the following day and we have not looked back. She does not mind wearing it at all and it has stopped her being able to get to her stitches. I would recommend it 100%
My poor little furr baby has skin allergies and has been scratching and biting herself like crazy!! She has been wearing the traditional collars you get from the vets, but as she’s getting older now her sight has deteriorated and she crashes into everything wearing it! Not with the doughnut collar. She can see where she’s going, still eat and drink without issue and it’s comfortable for her too!
I bought this for my 18 month old golden retriever when he was neutered. We first tried with a fabric/plastic cone we bought from the petshop, but on the 3rd day
my dog had somehow managed to rip it apart over night and half of it was hanging around his neck When I saw this on amazon and read the reviews, I gave it a go and it was perfect. During the day we just had it clipped around his neck so we could easily take it off if needed, but at night time we had it secured to his collar, so it was no way of him getting if off (just make sure the gap where it connects is on top of the dogs neck) Not once did he manage to get close to the stitches It’s soft, he didn’t seem too bothered with it and he could easily drink and eat with it on. Also, we didn’t have to fill it with more air for the 7 days he used it. I really recommend this one.
The same day my dog was spayed she took off her cone and chewed it up so we couldn’t put it back on her. In a frantic rush we bought this so she wouldn’t lick her incisions. She loved it. It was very comfortable for her to sleep in. She was able to take it off 3 times but when we’d we put it back on she would just go to bed.
This is a fantastic product. It stopped our terrier chewing/licking the wound on his tail and now all is healed. It’s such a good product as he didn’t mind it being on and was comfortable all night in it and if we had to leave him in the day. It works!
Luna: This is heckin’ comfy. Mum bought me this because the cone of shame was hard and digging into me and I couldn’t sleepo. I love my donut. It gives me a sooth. I like to use it like a pillow. I can’t lick my sore paw though. That’s one downside.
I don’t write reviews. Finding the time to do so is limited these days. However this doughnut saved my 4 month German Shepherd puppy from alot of stress!
She decided recently to scoff down couple of stones. Fantastic idea she thought. Give my family the biggest scare! After her operation the vet gave her the dreadful cone. She absolutely hated it. Terrified, crying and screaming. Stayed on for 2 seconds! This wasn’t the way to go. After spending some time on Amazon looking for a miracle. I found this cute little doughnut. Read the reviews. All good I thought. Bought it. Arrived next day. Tested it out without attaching it to our pup’s collar. As an introduction. She loved it!!! 10 mins with it on and with the added chicken to encourage a the biggest smile. Now she’s wearing it attached to her collar with joy. Thank you so much for this. Saved my pup from a horrendous outcome. She can’t reach her stitches. It’s light, comfortable and isn’t restricting as the vet cone! Added plus our pup looks more adorable!!!
Brilliant collar, much better than the traditional plastic “cone of shame”, my pupper had surgery on his knee and had to be crate rested for a few weeks post-surgery, this was a life saver and he loved wearing it. Super comfortable for him to sleep with throughout the night and not a single nibble to his surgical wound! 10/10!
It’s easy to inflate, very soft and very comfortable for my dog. He loves it. When I replaced his cone with the donut he couldn’t stop smiling. Where he’s such a big dog he was crashing into everything. Now when he crashes into things he bounces off. Brilliant product. Would buy again.
Very soft fabric. Our dog loves falling asleep using this as a travel pillow! Stops him licking his paws and also looks cute. A lot better than a plastic cone or the plain inflatable collars.
Oh my god this is the best thing ever ever ever. Chrissy had stitches from an injury and was managing to get to them so had to wear the buster collar she was so frightened and depressed so I ordered this. It is absolutely marvellous. She is now starting to play again, she can sleep, eat and drink in it. Thanks to the designers. Brilliant. Don’t hesitate it’s fantastic. Cocker spaniel needed size m.
Was extremely fed up with the cone that was uncomfortable for Marshall and very messy. He isn’t a rough and tumble sort of a guy so the soft donut shaped collar suits him perfectly. It prevents his paws from reaching his head and ears where he constantly scratched himself because of his allergies. Is soft enough for him to lay his head down while lying on the floor. Was easy to inflate, seal and the clasp seems good quality too. Has been on four days now. No complaints.
My dog hated the plastic cone fitted by the vet after surgery and just sulked in his bed. This inflatable enabled him to do everything as normal, whilst keeping him away from interfering with his stitches. Money well spent and highly recommended.
Well she looked adorable and it stopped her getting to her wound but it was a bit big for a mini dachshund. Every time she tried to walk she tripped. Please make a smaller one for those with little legs!
Got this for my one year old dog after he was neutered. We bought this doughnut before his op, but was aware when we trained him to be comfortable putting it on, that he could still reach he’s privet bits. When he had had his op he did get a collar from the vets but really struggled with it, as he couldn’t see he’s front legs and kept jumping like a kangaroo. We changed it over to the doughnut, which he found much more comfortable and at ease. He still could reach he’s privates, but it was a lot of effort and so he didn’t really try and if he did we said no and he stopped. The only thing I would say is that it did twist around a bit so the gap was at the front. When this happened it made it even easier for him to reach his stiches. Also he got his front leg stuck in the strap once. Overall I would buy again as it stayed inflated for over 10 days and my dog was much more relaxed wearing this as he could see and was comfortable. I purchased a medium and my dog is 21kg.
Couldnt bare the thought of going to work and leaving my boy uncomfortable in a cone. I didnt inflate it the whole way and left some room so he could squish it to sleep easier which worked a treat. He didnt even attempt to take his bandage off his paw after he failed the first few times. Handy to have for unexpected vet visits.
Lovely and soft to the touch, it is a much better solution than a vet’s lampshade. Does it’s job well and stays inflated, although it also comes with a repair patch should a puncture occur. I used a basic hand pump to inflate it and it worked a treat.
This was the second “dog donut ” we purchased for our black lab,the first was a cheaper version not from this seller which sadly only lasted 3 days..
This one was a far superior model more comfy came with a puncture repair kit and better fastening and is still going strong after 3 weeks of constant use.
If you are thinking about buying a doggie donut i can thoroughly recommend this one ,its much nicer and kinder for your dog and our lovely black lab has no trouble navigating doors and people and stairs.
So much better than the cone soft around the neck so it’s like a built in pillow really. Our boy slept easily and comfortably and wasn’t able to reach his surgical wound. Would highly recommend one. Well worth the money.
This product was an absolute godsend when our large labdradir ruptured his cruciate ligament . After surgery he needed to wear a cone but it was a nightmare as he is so large and our house isn’t and oh ouch our calves . We ordered this doughnut and it was fantastic he was so much happier , and happier and so we’re we . He couldn’t get to the area or his stitches and could be left without worry of hurting himself . Be warned it does cause snoring lol . Highly recomended
Ace product. Nicely packaged, arrived very promptly. Easy to inflate, easy to fit and put in dog. Works a treat. He’s got a infected cheek and stops him itching constantly. Donut is super soft and comfy for him to wear and because he’s blind and can’t navigate properly with his donut on it’s saving my furniture and legs lots of damage/chaos the usual cone would cause. 10/10 for design too, I’ve had plenty a giggle with this!
Bought this for our flat coated retriever pup after spaying. She came back from the vets with a massive floppy blue cone and hated it – she seems far more comfortable with this. I wasn’t sure whether to buy medium or large, but I went off the collar size and medium is fine.

I got one of these for my Rottweiler after he was neutered instead of a cone. Initially he was too doped up to care about wearing it. After he’d regained a little sanity he actually seems to enjoy wearing it.
My boy had a bloody and sore chin so was advised by the vet to use a cone. I’ve always thought dogs look so sad with cones on and hate the fact that it blocks their side vision. So we decided to try the inflatable ring instead and oh boy was it a great buy. He’s so relaxed with it on and it helps that he gets a lot of ‘awwws’ and ‘oh isn’t he cute’ when he’s out because of the design. Easy to put on and it’s like a permanent pillow for him to fall asleep on. No issues at all with him biting it or trying to remove it. We introduced it to him using treats so he loves it.

Really easy to inflate – my dog finds it comfortable she can literally fall asleep anywhere and has 360 degree pillow. Plus the reason we bought it is to stop her chewing her tail whilst we’re getting the medication to work. 🙂
his is a great collar bought it for dog after op it was brilliant saved me from sleepless nights.
The doughnut was easy to inflate, my boy Bodie doesn’t mind having it on (he did get it off once but that’s because we didn’t have his collar on tight enough – we can still fit two fingers underneath with tightening don’t worry) but he fell asleep straight away after coming home from his neutering. It’s super soft, hasn’t deflated and he can’t reach his bits! Don’t be fooled by the sad face in the photos – he’s just a bit depressed (as anyone would be after having their marbles off). All in all, worth every penny. Especially without having to go to war with trying to put his cone on anymore (which he manages to take off in under a minute because he is Houdini reincarnated)
We got this when our labrador mix got neutered and had a difficult surgery and recovery process, and wouldn’t sleep well or drink or eat while in the cone. The donut was a big improvement! He will sleep longer, go to sleep quicker, seems more relaxed and will eat or drink happily. It also stays inflated long enough to last the full night safely, which we had worried about previously. Today he did many spins trying to get to his crotch and has remained unsuccessful so yes – does what it says on the tin. Can highly recommend this if your dog hates the cone of shame as much as our Biscuit did!
This is the cutest inflatable collar ever. I wanted to get it for my dog because he has hot spots that he keeps scratching. He was so happy when I put it on him wagging his tail. It was comfy on him as he fell asleep comfortably with it on also.
Lovely collar, easy to inflate, was more comfortable for my dog than the normal buster collar the vet provides, Jimmy used it as a pillow when he was sleeping, it was easy to use, I attached his collar to the straps on the inside, so it stayed in place.
If I was to say a downside, it was the it seemed to make jimmy quite warm, almost as if he was wearing a scarf, but that aside it is definitely worth buying.
The donut is brilliant and he’s happy to wear it if he’s happy we’re happy
I felt confident buying this collar after reading that the company developed it for their own Chow. I had previously used a different inflatable collar which was a big disappointment. Although this product was more expensive, it is worth it as I can tell our dog is not uncomfortable or distressed. He can wear this and go about his day as normal, and it has the added bonus of looking adorable. I would recommend this to any dog owner, but particularly for Chows.
I bought a Medium size for my dog who has a long skinny neck. It fits perfectly. There is a strap to make it adjustable but I feel if you had to reduce the joining gap it could spin around and allow your dog access to the wound. I could be wrong though.
It is a lovely and soft material. As others have said my dog also seems to enjoy the pillow effect it has, it does make her snore! Haha! I bought it because my dog had an operation on her front leg, around the ankle joint, and I was not sure if it would prevent her from reaching it, well it does! Fully inflated I think it stops her reaching any body part. Although I think it is a touch expensive at 20 I am very happy with the product, and I would pay it again because it is a much better alternative to a plastic traditional cone, which my girl hated.
I can’t compare it to the cheaper alternatives on Amazon but I can say I am glad I went for this one! So if you’re having sleepless nights and a sad pup with a plastic cone, buy this and you’ll both be happier.

The product is everything it claims to be and it didn’t take my dog long to get used to wearing it. Our only problem is that our dog (Springer Spaniel) had hurt his paw and we got the collar to stop him from licking it. Unfortunately, he could still reach his front paws when wearing the collar so it didn’t work for this scenario. I would think it is brilliant for injuries on other parts of his body though.
I’m so happy that I found this collar, it is really easy to inflate and fit to the right size for my dog Maisie. She was really upset in the cone that the vet put on and once we put the collar on she was so much more comfortable and more importantly she couldn’t get near the stitches. It was easy to inflate and much more comfortable for my dog rather than the stiff, high, view compromising collar from the vet.
My dog worked out how to still get to his back feet!!! So would not leave him unattended but it is certainly a great help and no more bruised legs (on me) from the vet’s one and at least he can’t crash into furniture etc.!!!

Our dog was spayed and the cone of shame was never an option, she would have gone mad. The donut definitely did the job. The dog actively wanted us to put it on her and she use to use it as a pillow when she slept. Great product and would definitely buy it again. Sadly she ended up popping it but there is a repair kit for such eventualities, which worked very well! I don’t know how we’d have coped without it. Worth every penny!
What is not to like about this lovely colorful, comfy doughnut collar. A very good product, perfect for my dogs needs. He enjoyed sleeping with it on.

Before, he was wearing the Cone of Shame and was like a wrecking ball around the House. With this Donut he is comfortable, the house stays in one piece and he has a pillow to sleep on.

Nice soft comfy collar, unfortunately was not suitable in stopping my lab reaching the stitches on his paw.

Really easy to inflate, my nervous dog who hates Elizabethan cones loved it and it was that comfy he started to drift off to sleep with it on! It’s really helped him stop licking his wound and also prevents him scratching his other wound on his neck whilst keeping him super comfortable – would highly recommend
Got this for our 6mth border terrier as the cone he came back from the vets did not at all look comfortable, he kept knocking into things and eating/drinking proved a problem for him, so, we bought this doughnut and what a difference this has made, not only can he eat/drink with ease, it acts as a cushion when he sleeps, he can still play with his toys and chew/pick up his chew bones. He has not attempted to pull or bite it. The fact that you just thread your dogs own collar through the loops means it fits with ease. Highly recommend, a must for any animal who has had surgery, definitely 5 star buy!!!!
Much comfier than buster collar… inflate to max -put on , then deflate a bit so can tighten up more. There are loops inside to fit the collar to. If they lay down you can see how much space there is- to check it can’t go over their head.
Great product. I bought the medium for my pug he’s about 8kg, fits nicely. He has a corneal ulcer which isn’t healing and he’s been a depressed little fellow. He’s seems alot happier with the doughnut, much more comfy and even got a tail wag b4. I’m not sure I would trust him over night in it though, I think I will use the cone for that as I don’t trust he will be still in it in the morning.. but he is like Houdini in that respect.. I’m sure I less fussy dog would be just fine.
Our dog didn’t take well to having the usual cone post surgery and this is an effective option. Much more comfortable and unless the ‘opening’ moves to the front he was unable to get to his wound. Just had to make a couple of adaptations to it – stitched velcro between the two ‘meeting points’ and on the spare strap which was really effective.
The collar looks lovely and is obviously very well made and comfy for dogs to wear. Unfortunately, despite ordering the large, my spanial cross could still reach her back ‘knee’ where she has a lick sore that we are struggling to heal. So in this instance unfortunately we are back to the plastic cone of shame.
Absolutely perfect for my itchy dog. Helped me to improve her skin. She doesn’t mind wearing it as its comfortable and even likes to rest her head on it when she’s sleeping.100 worth buying again!
My dog has had a bad ear infection and had to wear a normal cone but it ended up cutting her skin.
Thankfully the Donut has helped massively with her infection clearing up and the cut from the cone of shame.
She really likes this especially as she can nap down and snore as loud as she can in the comfort and security of the donut.

Lovely inflatable cone, my dog suffers from allergies and when she has a flare up it’s hard to get her to not chew at her feet and make them sore and irritated. This cone is great allows her to sleep in it and she is unable to make her feet sore!

Brilliant post surgery collar. My dog had leg surgery, she’s not been able to reach op site whilst wearing collar. Soft and comfortable, it’s not annoyed her like Buster type. Good advantage is that she can drink freely whilst wearing it.
So my girl had surgery and unfortunately due to having thin hair she cut her neck up with The traditional Plastic cone knowing she has to go for surgery again on her head we wanted to get something more comfortable for her that wouldn’t cut her neck up more and that we can refuse along with making this surgery recovery more pleasant for her

I would highly recommend one of these even if you pup is not poorly just to keep on hand it’s 1000000 times better than a traditional plastic cone it’s so soft like a baby blanket candy neck as pretty much healed up from her rub off her last cone she sleeps a lot better with it on and she hardly scratched at it and her neck and her stitches plus it looks so much cuter (not that she cares how she looks but if you have small kids it dose bring a little bit of joy instead of upset (cones can look abit scary for them ) and she eats and drinks a lot better with this and can actually enjoy her lick at that she has bin missing and we know this girl loves her chews this is just my experience but get one JUST GET ONE

The company is great commenting and liking most of my posts on Instagram they really care about their customers definitely support in this business and I’m buying more for our other two dogs because they are so reasonably priced
The only down side is candy did have fun scooping and flicking the snow with her plastic one but we can live without tha
Just be careful with the size you get I think if we were to need it again we’d have to go for large. Definitely helps having the internal strap for the collar to sit in so that Satan’s spawn can’t knock it off. Luckily we’re two weeks post op now so the collar can come off.
Previous to this, he was having to wear a plastic collar from the vets as everything else that I had put on him had failed. He was utterly miserable as was I as he would not settle especially at night.
First night wearing the Donut and we both slept through! I am truly grateful to have found the Donut as I was at my wit’s end.
The Donut is so soft and comfortable. My dog excepted it straight away.
This collar is far better than any others that are similar because it doesn’t have the velcro fastening but a clip fastening that cannot be undone by my dog! You can also thread a normal collar through the inside for double security.
I had some queries regarding size etc and I contacted Dirty little Paws and received a response very quickly. The company has bent over backwards to help me.
I would say a Medium Donut would fit most Cavalier king Charles sized dogs perfectly. My dog is slightly larger than the average Cavalier, weighing 10kg. Also the Donut is much plumper than other inflatable collars that I have tried so I can confirm that your dog will NOT be able to reach his tail or rear end. I should think that it would be difficult to reach any part of his anatomy!

This donut has been a lifesaver in preventing my dog from licking his skin rash. Not only is he recovering, he looks super cute too and he knows it! This donut is in a league of its own and there is no need for the cone of shame when there are options like this.
He is still able to play with his toys, have his dinner and can even sleep comfortably in it! #doggiedonutsarepaw fec

She was so restless in the night with the cone on, which meant that we were losing sleep too. Plus the added annoyance of scrapes on the walls and furniture meant the cone was just not working well at all. Add to that, our other dog being terrified of the cone and you’ve pretty much got a dire situation!
