Offering a contemporary twist on a classic design, the rungs of our traditional-style clothes airer are made from aluminium rather than wood to help prevent your clothes being marked or stained while they dry. Grooves in the base allow you to choose between two height settings, and little wooden bars at the bottom twist into position to hold everything securely in place. When you’re finished, just twist them back and concertina the airer closed into its compact, easy-to-store shape.
Drying space 6m – holds up to 15kg.

This is a clothing rack that isn’t one of the generic metal/plastic type that rusts and quickly looks ugly. The Lakeland Concertina is a great solution to all airing needs; it can be set up in 2 ways so it is tall or shorter and squatter to fit into a smaller space. I love my new airer, which will last a lifetime!
Love it. A sturdy and well made thoroughbred of a clothes horse. Pay a little extra and free your wet clothes from the flimsy world of rickety wire and white plastic. Solid wood concertina frame with aluminium crossbars. Looks great and does the job perfectly.
I bought this model because I liked the idea of the metal rails being easier to clean and wouldn’t go moldy as my last wooden airer did. I didn’t realise they would be as slippy as they are though.

This product from Lakeland so far seems very sturdy and I like it! The very nice delivery man bought it well wrapped and safe contactless delivery. I’m using it right away and so far so good! I’m hesitant to give a glowing review because my other airer from another well known brand I gave a glowing report to and it hasn’t lasted two years so I’m very cross as they cost in the region of 40. Let’s hope this one lasts a lot longer! I’m going by the trusted brand again though ! One drawback might be if you wish to use outside the rungs are rather thick and I’m not sure that items can be pegged but I’m happy enough at the moment and would recommend as it has three heights and is less of an eyesore in my house as the taller you make it the thinner it is! Very happy with that and would suite a small dwelling!

Great for small spaces. Need to be careful when putting up, can collapse on you. Once up with locks in place it is great.
I was apprehensive about purchasing this item, mainly because of the price, it seems a little luxury for Airer. Boy was I wrong. This is exactly what I needed. Functional and fits perfectly with my home aesthetic, so less of an eyesore. Just make sure you don’t load it up too much.
I wanted an upright clothes airer and this one fitted the bill perfectly, not only is it attractive with the wooden and the metal, it is nice and compact and fits perfectly in the corner of the room. Very happy.

I had hoped this product would have better stability but it doesn’t assemble to make a flat base. It looks good and does it’s job though even with a wobble
Excellent maiden. Very sturdy hasn’t fallen over once. Even when I placed it outside. No worry about rust or buckling like all the others I’ve had in the past Only criticism is that it’s not as wide as previous maidens.
Nice older type like my mum used in 1960’s . More sturdy than some of the modern designs . This sort of design is more for things like towels ,jeans and similar large items . If you want volume this may not be for you , if you want sturdy this is .
Only used it once but seems to be really sturdy with a good amount of drying space compared to my precious airer (which kept breaking). I really like the wooden edges – much less of an eyesore!
Looks nice, has two different heights and is a great size to have in my utility room above the washing machine/dryer and moving it outside if it’s good weather.

Its nowhere near as clumsy as the tradional plastic trap fingers airers.
A tad expensive but it is compsct and out of way
I wanted a slightly smaller drying rack as mine took up a lot of space and was getting a bit rusty. This is a good choice for smaller spaces as you can make it taller and hence thinner (but of course clothes are closer together)> On the whole seems good quality. Cant comment on durability after 1 week!
This is perfect for drying laundry in a confined space. It also folds down easily to store.

I like this product. It seems sturdy when you put it up, and folds away to a very convenient size and shape. But don’t be a dunderhead like me and get your fingers caught in it as it collapses. That really, really hurts. But just flip it on its side before folding it down, and nae bother. Not that cheap at the price, but I’m glad I bought it. NB always read the dimensions before buying.
Thank goodness. At last a good sturdy clothes horse. Was fed up with ones that bent and broke if anything heavy was put on them. This is excellent.

After buying clothes airers which have broken because they are too flimsy I am really pleased that this airer is very sturdy made of wood with aluminium. It has two heights which I wasn’t aware of but could be a useful feature. Securing the height requires wooden cross pegs to be pushed into place and it was a bit difficult to do this, but once done the airer is very strong

Easy to set and keep folded when not in use
Missed off one star because the top bar was slightly bent in the middle. Hasten to add that it’s nothing so bad to make me want or feel I had to return it though (it doesn’t impact on the effectiveness of drying clothes – it’s just a bit bent on the top). Product arrived very promptly, no damage to the packaging and very pleasant delivery guy too. Product replaces a similar item that was completely wooden which had served us very well for nearly 20 years and used every single day. This new item is nicer to look at, very sturdy and easy-peasy to set up. Very happy over all.

Love the Airer. The rods are up to my expectation, the clothes do not slipped off and the clothes do not crease. Take up very little floor space. Would recommend.
Very easy to use. I find this better than a plastic airer.
This is an excellent product. Although it isn’t as wide as my previous clothes horse, it makes up for that by being taller and sturdier. There is no fear of it wobbling like the old metal one did. It is easy to assemble – just unfold it and there are clips at the base which you can use to adjust the height, and just as easy to fold back up.
Had it this product for a month now and I much prefer it to the cheaper flimsy metal ones, which aren’t as nice to look at as this wood one. Considering, it’s almost always up, I’d say it’s worth paying that little bit more for not only the sturdiness, but for the look too.

Really liked this dryer and we use it with the Meaco dehumidifier which collect all the moisture from the clothes/air. This combo used until we invest in a dryer.
Brilliant it strong, tall , well made but I haven’t had chance to try it out yet but so far I’m really pleased with the quality.

Really good hanger, better than the metal ones as I don’t think it will bend under the weight of the clothes. Not as big as I thought it was going to be, you can fit slightly less on than a metal hanger but it’s a good buy and worth the money.
I have had this item for some weeks now and so far it works well. I have no problem with it.
The airer is sturdy and of good quality, easily foldable. It does not fit that many clothes, however.
Best drying rack I’ve had. Feels sturdy, looks nice. However you can only fit half a load on it.
Easy to put up/down. Had a plastic construction with flimsy hinges.This is a lot better.
I’ve only had a day or so but is very sturdy compared to others. A bit pricey for what it is but it’s far better then I’ve ever had.
This is really light and easy to put up and down: no squashed fingers! Reasonably sturdy too. And being wood, you won’t have any rust issues.

This is a good sturdy dryer with plenty of room for hanging clothes. But, for the price, it’s quite shoddily made. The wood’s very rough and catches on delicate clothes. It should have been smoothed over with sandpaper or varnished/painted to give it a smooth feel. A little disappointed for the price.
Does what it says on the tin! Like the old fashionedness of it. Not quite as robust as of those of days of old!

This product with aluminium rungs is as it says – a clothes airer. I just wish I had stuck to this make. So much better than the ‘other’ airer which I ordered as additional space.
We were fed up with inferior drying frames breaking or bending under modest loads of washing. This unit is very robust and shows no sign of sagging even under quite heavy loads. It’s more pricey than some but we think it’s been worth the extra.

It looks as classy as an airer can be. The metal rungs look the biz and modern up an old style.
It’s tall enough and wide enough to handle quite a bit of washing and the mechanism that locks it in place is easy peasy. It doesn’t bend or warp and is good and sturdy. Takes a good weight.
Just watch you don’t leave your hand in between the uprights when you fold it down. It is agony.!

Fitted perfectly into quite a narrow space withing our airing cupboard when set to full height which is a nice height to use.

Not as much hanging space as the old metal one i had, but it won’t break any time soon, so I’m happy enough. It is tall and very sturdy, which is great for heavy items like jeans and towels. Should last!

Points ngatifs :
– Attention aux doigts lors du montage dmontage, ds qu’on dclipe le cran de soutien, a s’effondre trs vite. L’astuce c’est de l’ouvrir et le fermer pos l’horizontale car il n’y a pas le poids de la gravit donc on est tranquille!
– Fixation au socle par un simple cran et un bout de bois : me semble fragile , j’ai trs peur de casser la molette en bois , surtout que c’est un peu serr (Cf vido)
– L’humidit doit forcment un peu atteindre le bois mme si pas de contact direct
– L’ensemble me parat trop fragile pour un usage en extrieur (vent , pluie..) mais ce n’est que mon avis
– Une fois pli il peut tre imposant pour tre rang, de par sa largeur (cf photos)
Total : plutt satisfait, c’est un joli schoir, j’espre que sa solidit sera au rendez-vous
J’aime son look en bois et alu (pour ne pas tacher le linge).
Les 2 positions (plus ou moins leves) sont commodes.
Seul bmol qui lui vaut une toile en moins : il faut rester vigilant lorsqu’on le monte ou le redescend.
On peut se pincer les doigts trs facilement. Ce n’est pas trs ais de bien positionner les 2 barrettes en bas qui le stabilisent.
je cherchais un schoir diffrent, esthtique et pratique; celui-ci est trs joli, pratique d’utilisation, peu encombrant et facilement pliable. Je n’ai mis que 4 toiles car la capacit de 6 m d’tendage est vraiment restreinte. Cela convient des machines demi-charge mais je le savais en l’acheta

This product is well made and sturdy quite unlike another product I have purchased which lasted a matter of months before disintegrating and warping. I would highly recommend this.

Voil un schoir sympathique, joli, je fais une lessive avec mais… c’est trs trs juste niveau capacit, j’ai du mettre un autre schoir mural en plus pour mes sous vtements et pourtant…je suis seul !
Donc bon je conseille car c’est vraiment pratique dans un petit studio, a se dplie/range en moins de 2 mais faut vraiment intgrer que c’est trs limit en capacit.

Classic design, well built, timeless piece of kit. Can’t understand the neg reviews. Mine works fine, every time. I can only think that the people who call this product dangerous should not be let loose on such complicated machinery.
Love it. My old airer broke and I was limited to a certain size. This was much more expensive than others but the size was perfect. It’s worth every penny and well made. I expect it to ladies the 20 years my previous airer did. I love the metal bars and it opens up very tall so it seems to space your washing out well.
Excellent airer with small footprint. Washing dries very quickly due to spacious rungs. Easy to put up and take down and great for drying sheets and duvet covers.
I hope it lasts as long as the previous one.(42 years)
So far so good. I am loving the sturdiness of this although it is early days and I made need to revise this at some point. I am concerned that there do not appear to be any screws so if it starts to collapse there will be no way of tightening it back up. Keeping fingers crossed.
A slight crack in one ‘arm’ but structurally still okay.
Much more sturdy and better made than the previous cheapo I had before from Amazon. The metal bars are much better at keeping the shape, and don’t warp or mould like the other models. Also good size, fits entire washing machine load.

Avec celui l, rien voir ! On sent qu’il est bien plus solide, d’ailleurs la notice fabriquant indique de ne pas dpasser 15 kg de charge donc a donne une ide de la qualit, qui, sans tre au top, est toutefois trs bonne compte tenu du prix.
Les barres en alu sont un plus pour ne pas abmer le linge dlicat.
Good quality, compact and lightweight. Two pieces at the bottom to stop it from it collapsing. However, couldn’t help but feel it’s a bit overpriced which is why I’ve only given it 4 stars.
There are cheaper airers than this one but the quality of this one can’t be faulted. It is well worth the money.
