Offering a contemporary twist on a classic design, the rungs of our traditional-style clothes airer are made from aluminium rather than wood to help prevent your clothes being marked or stained while they dry. Grooves in the base allow you to choose between two height settings, and little wooden bars at the bottom twist into position to hold everything securely in place. When you’re finished, just twist them back and concertina the airer closed into its compact, easy-to-store shape.

Excellent sturdy maide
Excellent maiden. Very sturdy hasn’t fallen over once. Even when I placed it outside. No worry about rust or buckling like all the others I’ve had in the past Only criticism is that it’s not as wide as previous maidens.

Nice older type like my mum used in 1960’s . More sturdy than some of the modern designs . This sort of design is more for things like towels ,jeans and similar large items . If you want volume this may not be for you , if you want sturdy this is .

Only used it once but seems to be really sturdy with a good amount of drying space compared to my precious airer (which kept breaking). I really like the wooden edges – much less of an eyesore!
Looks and feels expensive
Looks nice, has two different heights and is a great size to have in my utility room above the washing machine/dryer and moving it outside if it’s good weather.

I wanted a slightly smaller drying rack as mine took up a lot of space and was getting a bit rusty. This is a good choice for smaller spaces as you can make it taller and hence thinner (but of course clothes are closer together)> On the whole seems good quality. Cant comment on durability after 1 week!
Practical
This is perfect for drying laundry in a confined space. It also folds down easily to store.

Good product - but careful now!
I like this product. It seems sturdy when you put it up, and folds away to a very convenient size and shape. But don’t be a dunderhead like me and get your fingers caught in it as it collapses. That really, really hurts. But just flip it on its side before folding it down, and nae bother. Not that cheap at the price, but I’m glad I bought it. NB always read the dimensions before buying.
Best wooden airer I’ve owned, recommended
Amazingly sturdy, very easy to put up, it’s already self assembled, so you don’t have to tighten loose screws like other cheap wooden airers. It’s expensive but worth every penny, I’m so happy I’ve invested in one. It can handle a full load of washing on it with ease, stands solid, no wobbling or buckle, also the rungs in between are metal, so no snagging your clothes or stains from damp wooden rings, which can happen with cheap wooden airers. Best purchase I’ve made in a while.
Compact, sturdy. It’s never going to break. Unlike the useless kind that ends up in landfill. More expensive but I’ve forgotten already: you won’t regret it (unless your dog eats it).
Arrived today and opened it up. Fairly easy to open up for clothes to go on. So far the sturdiness seems great, no thin light weight frame to break under the weight of wet washing. Looks good and feels well made

After buying clothes airers which have broken because they are too flimsy I am really pleased that this airer is very sturdy made of wood with aluminium. It has two heights which I wasn’t aware of but could be a useful feature. Securing the height requires wooden cross pegs to be pushed into place and it was a bit difficult to do this, but once done the airer is very strong

Strong, sturdy looks good
Missed off one star because the top bar was slightly bent in the middle. Hasten to add that it’s nothing so bad to make me want or feel I had to return it though (it doesn’t impact on the effectiveness of drying clothes – it’s just a bit bent on the top). Product arrived very promptly, no damage to the packaging and very pleasant delivery guy too. Product replaces a similar item that was completely wooden which had served us very well for nearly 20 years and used every single day. This new item is nicer to look at, very sturdy and easy-peasy to set up. Very happy over all.

This is an excellent product. Although it isn’t as wide as my previous clothes horse, it makes up for that by being taller and sturdier. There is no fear of it wobbling like the old metal one did. It is easy to assemble – just unfold it and there are clips at the base which you can use to adjust the height, and just as easy to fold back up.

Had it this product for a month now and I much prefer it to the cheaper flimsy metal ones, which aren’t as nice to look at as this wood one. Considering, it’s almost always up, I’d say it’s worth paying that little bit more for not only the sturdiness, but for the look too.

Really liked this dryer and we use it with the Meaco dehumidifier which collect all the moisture from the clothes/air. This combo used until we invest in a dryer.

Really good hanger, better than the metal ones as I don’t think it will bend under the weight of the clothes. Not as big as I thought it was going to be, you can fit slightly less on than a metal hanger but it’s a good buy and worth the money.
his is a sturdy piece of engineering which surpasses everything else on the market. strong, strudy, durable and its unlikely to break under any weight. you can always purchase a cheaper clothes airer, but buy cheap, pay twice. my local supermarket has some airers for 10 but they look flimsy and thin. you get what you pay for. highly recommend this produc

The airer is sturdy and of good quality, easily foldable. It does not fit that many clothes, however.

This is really light and easy to put up and down: no squashed fingers! Reasonably sturdy too. And being wood, you won’t have any rust issues.

Good dryer but overpriced
This is a good sturdy dryer with plenty of room for hanging clothes. But, for the price, it’s quite shoddily made. The wood’s very rough and catches on delicate clothes. It should have been smoothed over with sandpaper or varnished/painted to give it a smooth feel. A little disappointed for the price.

This product with aluminium rungs is as it says – a clothes airer. I just wish I had stuck to this make. So much better than the ‘other’ airer which I ordered as additional space.
Sturdy indoor drying frame
We were fed up with inferior drying frames breaking or bending under modest loads of washing. This unit is very robust and shows no sign of sagging even under quite heavy loads. It’s more pricey than some but we think it’s been worth the extra.
Jazzing up a traditional winne
I love this air dryer.
It looks as classy as an airer can be. The metal rungs look the biz and modern up an old style.
It’s tall enough and wide enough to handle quite a bit of washing and the mechanism that locks it in place is easy peasy. It doesn’t bend or warp and is good and sturdy. Takes a good weight.
Just watch you don’t leave your hand in between the uprights when you fold it down. It is agony.!
I have always bought the wooden concertina airers and I was quite surprised to find one that had aluminium rungs I have to say I am very pleased with this airer it is taller than my old wooden one and these airers don’t take up as much space can recommend these

I wanted a clothing rack that wasn’t of the generic (ugly) plastic ilk. This is a great solution; it isn’t as much of an eyesore as the other more traditional ones and it holds a full load quite easily. It also has 2 modes so you can either stretch it out and have it be taller or keep it shorter if you need to fit it in a tight alcove for example. Nothing to complain about with this so far, absolutely love it.
Perfect replacement for old wooden one
Fitted perfectly into quite a narrow space withing our airing cupboard when set to full height which is a nice height to use.
I have been replacing airers annually due to the metal frames breaking, so I decided to purchase this wooden one instead. It seems to be very durable and strong. It easily folds away to store and when it collapses, I don’t feel like I am going to chop my fingers off like I did with the metal flimsy ones. The only thing which is a shame is that you don’t get as much drying space and it is narrower than most metal framed ones. Years ago I had a wooden airer which went mouldy. This won’t happen as the bars are metal which I am pleased about. Fingers crossed this one will last longer than a year!
Update: January 2021…this airer is still working perfectly!

Better than the one my mum had which was all wooden and stained the washing at times. Up to now I have not been able to use it as my daughter has it full on clothes.

Points ngatifs :
– Attention aux doigts lors du montage dmontage, ds qu’on dclipe le cran de soutien, a s’effondre trs vite. L’astuce c’est de l’ouvrir et le fermer pos l’horizontale car il n’y a pas le poids de la gravit donc on est tranquille!
– Fixation au socle par un simple cran et un bout de bois : me semble fragile , j’ai trs peur de casser la molette en bois , surtout que c’est un peu serr (Cf vido)
– L’humidit doit forcment un peu atteindre le bois mme si pas de contact direct
– L’ensemble me parat trop fragile pour un usage en extrieur (vent , pluie..) mais ce n’est que mon avis
– Une fois pli il peut tre imposant pour tre rang, de par sa largeur (cf photos)
Total : plutt satisfait, c’est un joli schoir, j’espre que sa solidit sera au rendez-vous
Pricier than other models when you consider how much you can hang on there. However, I wanted something durable and I was willing to compromise on size. I’m very pleased I did! It’s been in constant use since purchasing it a month ago, and it’s built to last.
Made from thick wood and the aluminium rods are very sturdy! Jeans, towels, jumpers on at the same time and it can cope with the weight.

J’aime son look en bois et alu (pour ne pas tacher le linge).
Les 2 positions (plus ou moins leves) sont commodes.
Seul bmol qui lui vaut une toile en moins : il faut rester vigilant lorsqu’on le monte ou le redescend.
On peut se pincer les doigts trs facilement. Ce n’est pas trs ais de bien positionner les 2 barrettes en bas qui le stabilisent.
Séchoir en alu et bois
je cherchais un schoir diffrent, esthtique et pratique; celui-ci est trs joli, pratique d’utilisation, peu encombrant et facilement pliable. Je n’ai mis que 4 toiles car la capacit de 6 m d’tendage est vraiment restreinte. Cela convient des machines demi-charge mais je le savais en l’acheta

I do like this, yes its only a clothes dryer, however, these pesky things fall over when you walk past them or the cat hangs off of it.
( note i did not wash the cat, he climbs on things )
The bottom of this is adjustable, so you can have it tall and narrow, or slighly wider. its sturdy, very sturdy, the cat has been on it and it didnt fall over.
its a bit tricky first getting it up, i trapped my fingers a few times, HOWEVER i didnt read the instructions.. ( too impatient ) . but now shes up im happy with this, it holds many clothes, plus a cat !

Delivered quickly and safely. Similar to the wooden dryer my mother had for many years but the aluminium spars are an improvement and avoiding the wet washing ending up with any stains from the previous wooden spars. Fully extended it can hold a lot of washing and is a big help on wash day.

Voil un schoir sympathique, joli, je fais une lessive avec mais… c’est trs trs juste niveau capacit, j’ai du mettre un autre schoir mural en plus pour mes sous vtements et pourtant…je suis seul !
Donc bon je conseille car c’est vraiment pratique dans un petit studio, a se dplie/range en moins de 2 mais faut vraiment intgrer que c’est trs limit en capacit.

Classic design, well built, timeless piece of kit. Can’t understand the neg reviews. Mine works fine, every time. I can only think that the people who call this product dangerous should not be let loose on such complicated machinery.
Expensive but worth i
Love it. My old airer broke and I was limited to a certain size. This was much more expensive than others but the size was perfect. It’s worth every penny and well made. I expect it to ladies the 20 years my previous airer did. I love the metal bars and it opens up very tall so it seems to space your washing out well.
Excellent Aire
Excellent airer with small footprint. Washing dries very quickly due to spacious rungs. Easy to put up and take down and great for drying sheets and duvet covers.
It is strong, sturdy and stable. It holds one load of washing and folds up neatly for storage. My old wooden airer was very wobbly by comparison and likely to keel over if overloaded.
The steel rings ensure that no marks are left on the drying clothes. I would recommend it. It is better for the environment than using a tumble dryer.

First impressions are very good
So far so good. I am loving the sturdiness of this although it is early days and I made need to revise this at some point. I am concerned that there do not appear to be any screws so if it starts to collapse there will be no way of tightening it back up. Keeping fingers crossed.

Avant j’avais un modle similaire mais tout en bois achet chez Habit@t, qu’Amazon vend galement, dont j’ai t trs due (un croisillon rapidement cass puis des barres qui se dbotaient, il tait toujours de travers malgr les rparations successives).
Avec celui l, rien voir ! On sent qu’il est bien plus solide, d’ailleurs la notice fabriquant indique de ne pas dpasser 15 kg de charge donc a donne une ide de la qualit, qui, sans tre au top, est toutefois trs bonne compte tenu du prix.
Les barres en alu sont un plus pour ne pas abmer le linge dlicat.
