    GREAT HEADPHONES
These are fantastic, hands free, easy to use answer calls listen to music yet you are aware of your surroundings. The battery life is brilliant too you don’t need to charge every day it can last 2 to 3 days
    depending on usage.
All in all a great product..

    Great alternative to in-ear headphones
I bought for my daughter who has tinnitus and was looking for something to replace some ear-pods. She really likes these, they’re comfortable, sound is good, great that you can hear surrounding environment and helps with symptoms of tinnitus. The only downside if you’ve used to headphones automatically disconnecting when you take them off, like ear-pops when placed back into their case, you need to remember to switch off or disconnect these manually – a minor thing that’s easy to get used to.

    Better than ear pods
Great product I feel safer walking as can hear surrounding sounds whilst enjoying my music.
Only downfall is the function switch its so tiny I struggle turning on and off and getting it to sync to my phone.

    Quality of sound is great.
Fantastic for running, ‘cos you can still hear outside noises but it doesn’t impact on what you’re listening to.
Maybe just one little thing, the band could possibly be adjustable.

The fit is extremely good, they sit firm to the head but not uncomfortably so. It’s easy to wear them and barely notice.

I took one star off sound quality, not because of any issue with the headset, but simply because you do not yet get the same quality from this type of headphones as you would from standard in ear or over the ear headphones. For bone conduction headphones, the sound quality is great. I also took 2 stars off for noise cancellation as being able to hear your surroundings is an intended feature of the design. You will not have problems hearing your media over surrounding noise unless particularly loud.

Battery life is great, 8 hours gets me through my work day and time at the gym.

    Overall I would definitely recommend.

I purchased these for my husband as a replacement for an older pair. He was born deaf in one ear, and this allows him to really enjoy music, especially while he’s running. This wireless set has really impressed him. He can wander about the house, bopping to the beat, yet still hear the world around him. I’ve found that there is no sound leakage, so that’s a bonus for me.

He says that the sound quality has improved enormously since his previous set, and it connected to his phone with ease. He’s even studying his Duolingo Spanish using it- which is good for me, as I don’t have to hear a thing 🙂

    Very good.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but I really like these. 4 stars out of 5 because the sound quality is not as crisp as a pair of good fitting over the ear headphones. They are very good for what they are. The battery lasts a long time and I really like the magnetic charge cable attachment. It’s a solid coupling. Bluetooth connecting is simple and the controls are easy to use. Overall I like them. Remember though, it’s not symphonic quality.

    These are the future!
I HIGHLY recommend this to anybody looking for music on the go! I used to buy pod type earphones (expensive ones as well) as I really enjoy listening to music on the go whilst at work and I love not having to reach into my pocket for my phone whenever I get a call. Pod type earphones have Noise Cancelling and Hear Through functions (which to be honest I felt were awesome).

The only thing about pods were how small they were, the occasional tendency to drop from my ear and how my ear might feel a little sore if they have been there the whole day. Not to mention I sometimes can’t here what people are trying to say to me sometimes.

This guy is a absolutely fantastic. I’m not exactly an audiophile so I don’t have the feedback if you’re looking for “Deeper Bass” “Clear Treble” “Hidden sounds no other human ear can hear” from your music. But I where these at work all the time, I never miss anyone calling me, I where them when I’m cycling with no fear I’ll miss any environmental sounds, I have conversations with people at work and around me… all the time with my tunes playing to me and nobody else. Sometimes I forget they’re on and wondering who the Hell is playing that awesome music. They last a whole day and I’ve even sweated with them on no problem. They fit snuggly enough for most active movements. Running/Cycling/Jumping. No problem.

    I wholeheartedly recommend these.

    Good for outdoor use
I thought long and hard about getting these, even at the Black Friday price their still pretty expensive and I am pretty fussy about audio quality which seemed perhaps a weak area. Also I wear glasses and was not sure how these would fit combined with glasses and a cycling helmet. The first thing I did on receiving it was to compared the Open Run sound to my Pixel Buds, my Huawei Freeview 4is, and my Soundcore Q30 heads sets. All good but not top of the range. The Open Run sound was sadly lacking in this company. But I felt this was an unfair comparison as I always saw these as a cycling only headset so tried them out this afternoon on the bike. They came into thier own here. The sound was clear and never overwhelmed the background sound. The more I wore them the more I appreciated the clarity and channel separation, bass was a bit light but ok and I never had an issue with wearing with glasses and a helmet. I would not wear these around the house, as they are just not good enough, but on a bike are very effective. Build quality is good, worth getting a hard case to store them in.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOne of those few products that are genuinely good, and I dont know how I didn't use before
I tried these on the recommendation of a friend, who heard of my ongoing disasters with other headphones. I both cycle to work, and go running. I have tried a number of manufacturers for options for these, but their headphones options inevitably ended up falling out of my ears, getting clogged with sweat, ended up not charging or the sound just got so poor they were unusable. As a blunt workaround to ensure I could hear traffic and what was going on, I ended up using one headphone at a time: the right earphone whilst lower-energy cycling (ensuring this was kept as the high-quality one), and basically sacrificing the left earphone whilst using it on more intensive and sweaty runs. Looking back on it, this was rather a ridiculous set-up.

These headphones solve all those problems. They are firmly held in place, and allow you to hear high quality music and or speech if you want podcasts. I had not used bone conduction headphones before, so foolishly assumed there would be a significant sacrifice in audio quality. This is not the case: it is only very slightly worse (and this is not noticeable whilst cycling/running), and is certainly better than my mono-ear setup. And it does keep both ears free to hear traffic. And are cheaper than the pair I was bodging with. All in all I’m very happy. Only gripe is lack of USB-c cable – it is USB-a. But ill live. Drat.

    Game changer, with caveats…
I’ll start by saying if you only want to listen to music, or you don’t really need, or care about the ‘open ear’ feature then these are not for you. You can buy earphones with much better sound for less than half the price. Music just sounds a bit flat.

However for me this product really changed everything for me when listening to podcasts/audiobooks (and occasionally a bit of music). I can comfortably wear them all day long without discomfort or the claustrophobic feeling i get after a couple of hours of wearing over ear, or silicone plug type headphones. With the added benefit of having your hearing unaffected, which i really prefer when out and about. I’ve even come to prefer listening to podcasts/audiobooks at home with these rather than my sonos system.

Of course they aren’t going to be great in very noisy environments, and they don’t go super loud. At max volume I find they vibrate slightly too which is a bit uncomfortable. Also, in a very quiet room someone sitting next to you will be able to just start to hear them at about half volume.

For me these are very minor caveats to what is a game changing product for podcasts/audiobooks.

Very happy with my purchase. Haven’t used them on my bike yet but they fit comfortably with helmet & safety glasses. They were extremely easy to pair with my old Apple iPod classic and it’s Bluetooth adapter which other EarPods have not been.

    Good product works well
Seems good quality, nice sound and it being open rather than in ear you can cycle or run and still hear important sounds (like angry driver horns!).

Very lightweight and stays on the ear nicely.

Only thing I’d say is max volume isn’t very high so I’d recommend deactivating any volume limiters on whatever device you’re connecting it to.

    Very good product.

    SO good I got two
I have a set for work when I am on TEAMS calls and they are so comfy I had to get another set for the gaming laptop which I also use for the iPAD – great kit – charge lasts several days, great noise cancelling and so comfy…… well worth the money.

    Excellent for cycling
Sound quality is not fantastic so wouldn’t used them at home or on a train. But for cycling and I guess other forms of exercise they are perfectly acceptable. Waterproof and stay in place.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant i you want to remain connected with your surroundings
Sound is clearly not as good as traditional in or over-ear technology. But I do not believe this directly competes with other headphones. I have a lovely Sony over-ears when I want to listen to music. This headphone allows me to go to the gym, or sauna, or go bike while hearing people talking to me or cars driving nearby. After sport, I go to the sauna and shower without needing to remove them.

    Excellent headphones
I bought these as an anniversary present for my husband so that he could wear them on dog walks but still be aware of what was going on around him. He has hardly taken them off so were a very successful gift! Very comfortable and extremely light. No issues with connecting to his phone.

    Amazing headphones
This is my second pair. I had the titanium ones before and wore them almost daily for 3 years. Only reason for buying new ones is my wife lost her iPods so I gave them to her. I love the fact you can have a proper conversation and still listen to music. Also if someone is boring you just turn the volume up and then haven’t got a clue!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersComfortable and secure
Sound quality is great, probably better than my heating deserves, but I bought these to wear whilst running and they deliver. I’ve had multiple sets of in ear, hooked, on ear earphones but never really been able to feel truly happy with them when running. Mostly they fall off or work their way out; these don’t. I wear contacts when running but I have used the SHOKZ with glasses and they still fit.
I mainly listen to speech but music is good too.

Really good for exercise. Also really good for listening to content in an office environment where you don’t want to be completely isolated from other people speaking. Takes a little bit of getting used to to listen for extended periods of time though

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFantastic headphones - best I’ve had
These headphones are fantastic. I haven’t used bone conduction headphones before and I’m amazed at how good the sound quality is. You can still hear ambient noise, like traffic noise, so I feel a lot safer when running on the main road. There is a tiny amount of sound leakage when the volume is turned right up so you wouldn’t do that in a quiet coach on the train for example but you could knock the volume lower in those circumstances anyway. They’re really comfortable and the battery lasts for ages and charges really quickly too. I’ve already recommended them to dozens of friends and can’t imagine ever going back to in-ear headphones.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAbsolutely Worth It!
I bought some Borofone bone conductive headphones for 41 back in 2017, and had to immediately return them as the sound was absolutely awful. I still loved the idea of them, as in a lot of situations I really hate the loss of situational awareness that comes with regular headphones, and of course even when you cut the music, you still have to prise them out before speaking to someone. So I was a bit hesitant getting these on Prime Day for 91 but figured there was no point going cheap again. And wow am I impressed. I usually listen on a 2015 pair of Audio Technica M50x headphones, and sure, these aren’t the same, but I’ll sit down at my computer with the Shokz on, playing music from my phone and I won’t immediately swap them over. Also, as another reviewer noted, if you need to protect your ears using powertools etc, you can just put earplugs in, and of course you can still hear the music. In fact, using earplugs improves the sound. Quite a surreal experience for someone unfamiliar with these.

Overall I’m incredibly impressed, I had got them expecting to use them to catch up with a bunch of audiobooks and podcasts, but I’ve barely used them for that as music has sounded so good. I was also worried about reviews saying they easily got drowned out by nearby sounds. I’ve found the opposite, I have to keep them turned down a bit, otherwise they do actually stop me from hearing my surroundings as intended.

Great headphones for being out and about but can be a bit big
I had wanted to try these headphones for ages and I took a chance during Prime day to get them. The size I got was based on the size guide on Shokz website but they’re actually a bit too big on me which does have a bit of an effect on the sound volume you can hear but they are still comfortable on the aul ear drums and work really well.

    Simply grea
I’m a big fan of Apple AirPods, but due to having a stroke and losing some of my vision, for my own safety I decided to give open ear headphones a try, I am not disappointed. The sound quality is very good, and obviously as they don’t sit in your ears, the quality is not as good as traditional earphones.I am out walking all the time and as I live in Scotland it’s wet most of the time, so the waterproof rating of these gives peace of mind. I would recommend to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat for when you want to listen to music or speech without the isolatio
Firstly you need to accept there will be some compromise between audio quality and the convenience that your ears aren’t obstructed or isolated as these are at a distinct disadvantage compared to headphones/earphones designed to obstruct your ears. The sound they produce is balanced and extremely listenable but they are never going to give you that ‘immersed’ lose yourself in the music experience.
My initial pair had a battery issue in that, after a week or so on standby they would lose their charge. If this happens to you contact Shokz as they should last several weeks on standby without any noticeable loss in charge as my replacement pair do. I tried to get feedback on existing customers on this through the Amazon ask a question but unfortunately most answers were less than helpful, ignorant even, so hopefully this review will help others who may have the same issue.
In summary a great pair of headphones to compliment rather than replace your existing headphones.

These are great, wish I’d bought a pair years ago. They are great for when out running, walking, cycling as you can listen to your music but still hear what’s going on around you. Also great at home as I always like some music on while the OH prefers silence, these are perfect for that allows me to listen to music while shes happy in silence. Really comfy to wear too, much better for your ears than earbuds. You’re not going to get the same sound quality as a decent set of on ear headphones but that’s not the point of these and quality good enough for me.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersFeel the quality, feel the freedom!
I’m a big fan of bone conduction headphones. If you’ve ever experienced that claustrophobic feeling of being cut off from your surroundings, then bone conduction is definitely the way to go. No more itchy or sweaty ears from earbuds or the risk of one falling out. You can listen to music or podcasts and still hear your surroundings and the safety aspect speaks for itself. There are a range of bone conduction devices on the market but Shokz are definitely the Rolls Royce of these and have been developing this technology for around 20 years. I originally purchased a cheaper pair, when I say ‘cheap’ they were still around the 40 mark. I enjoyed the experience and later decided to go for the Shokz Openrun and as soon as I put them on I realised the difference in quality. They are well balanced and sit comfortably on the ears and they sounded much better. If you want a ‘near’ experience of what it feels like to wear bone conduction headphones then put a pair of spectacles on backwards so that the lenses are at the rear of your head and the arms of the glasses rest over you ears. They sit gently and comfortably over your ears but the listening experience is through your cheekbones. They are discreet and can also be worn comfortably with glasses. After a while you almost forget you are wearing them. It is very easy to turn the Shokz OpenRun on using the manual button which is located just behind the right ear. You will hear a woman’s voice ‘welcome you’ and confirm that you are ‘connected.’ I’ve not experienced any problem with connection, it always seems to work. If for some reason you go out of the Bluetooth range of your connected device you will hear 2 beeps in rapid succession to inform you of this. As soon as you are within range you will hear ‘connected!’
I would like to experience the more expensive OpenRun Pro, but some of the reviews I’ve looked at say that the difference in sound is minimal and in fact the OpenRun have a higher water and sweat resistance than the pros? Makes no sense! Anyhow, I can thoroughly recommend these quality headphones, five stars and perfect for audio books too!

Bought these for work as I love listening to music but occasionally colleagues need me and I’m oblivious. We work in a big open area.
