Ease of use
Easy to use just pull it out and wind it back in simplicity.
Does the job
Reasonably sturdy, although it is plastic so I wouldn’t expect it to last forever.
Fairly simple to attach to wall and use. Bear in mind that the hose is fairly long (40m although I haven’t had cause to fully unwind and measure) so the pressure at the end will be markedly less than at the tap end due to internal friction or whatever the term is for fluid dynamics. Also, best to de-pressure (drain and disconnect from tap) before winding or unwinding.

I have resin patio which scaged my stretch hose. This hozelock is great and no problem across the patio.

Expensive. But worth it.
The Fast Cart is perfectly named, as it makes using the garden hose a breeze. With this model, you can say goodbye to all those years of battling with a loose garden hose. The Fast Cart reels the hose back in quickly, and also has a mechanical roller, linked to the rewind handle, that moves back and forth, to feed the hose back in to the cassette neatly.

A long hose in a convenient (and tidy) holde
This is installed on the back of my house but goes all the way round to the front so we water the flower pots there.
It’s easy enough to unwind (and rewind) with the included hose guide. Water pressure doesn’t seem unduly affected by all that hose either.
We drain the hose by letting it run out for a minute or so after winding it back onto the reel, to relieve the pressure, especially important during winter months when it will probably freeze solid anyway.

Very easy to set up. Recommended for a large garden, but I find it very useful in my small garden. The reel stays put when I pull the hose up my alleyway, where the tap is, to the back of my garden, because it is heavy enough. (My previous reel used to fall over and drag). The hose doesn’t kink (so far) and the connectors don’t leak (so far)

Easy to unwind and rewind
This hose has a manual rewind but it is very well designed and much easier than traditional hoses in that it doesn’t kink or get twisted up. There is some assembly required and this is quite fiddly so you will need to follow the instructions carefully (diagrams etc). It took me about 30 mins. I’d recommend buying a spray gun as it only comes with the standard one.

I’ve had one before and find them very good compared to others it may be little more experience but you get good quality I found it very easy to put up

Just what I needed a hose that is long enough, but most importantly rolls up very easily and is a pleassure to use.
Neat & tidy
Better than just using a hose. Sometimes it gets jammed but with the removal of a few screws you can take it apart for sorting out the problem.
Very good unit for a big garde
Our rear garden heads about 30 metres up a slope of about 40% and traditional floor based hoses have been a nightmare. Because this is fixed to our rear wall near the tap, pulling it out from a number of metres away is easy with no risk of toppling or pulling on the tap connection and winding it back in is also quite easy.

The best Hose reel i have bough
I looked at so many of these, and this wasnt the most expensive at the time.
I bought this to replace an older unit, that my parents use.
As this is pretty much self contained, we needed something less fussy and this fits the bill.
It is a soo easy to reel in and when you pull the hose its on a racthet.

I needed a second hose for my front garden to make life easier for me when gardening. Was very happy with this model first time round so had no hesitation in getting the same again.
Easy to put together and does what I need it to which is keep the hosepipe tidy and out of the way. The hose pulls out easily and smoothly and it is simple and quick to wind it back in – no kinking. The hose then fits nicely into the holder at the handle so everything is tucked away tidily.
Once put together it is robust and solid but it is heavy. Not really an issue because it is on wheels if you need to move it but picking it up if you just need to shove it out of the way requires a bit of effort!

Much better than the first versio
We bought the green plastic hozelock fast reel several years ago which has always played up by being hard to pull off the reel and even harder to wind it back onto the reel. Also the water pressure was never really that good. It died a few weeks ago when it refused to wind back up so I decided to buy the newer yellow plastic fast reel as a replacement. The difference between the two is huge. The water pressure is so much better and I can now water the garden without really moving form the reel. It is also so much easier to pull off the reel and very easy to wind back up. One thing we have done differently is that the hose guide supplied with the first fast reel we used to guide the hose around a corner of our house. The hose guide supplied with the second fast reel we used to guide the hose when pulling and winding the hose by installing it directly under the mounted fast reel. I think that this change makes pulling out and winding back so much easier. Very pleased with the new hozelock now and even enjoy using it to water our plants or wash our cars.

I am delighted with this product. It is neat, robust but easy to rewind.
Fortunately my space on the wall near the tap was fine to accommodate this but it occurred to me that not much was mentioned about checking this before purchase, or if it was, I missed it.

Has kinked on a few occasions. Not suitable for the elderly when reeling in is abit tough and pulling out.
Much tidier than my previous coil sprung hose
Easy to assemble. Comes with few parts which go together easily. Good durable hose solid on the wall when mounted.

Excellent replaceme
After 15 years of constantly using the foreunner to this device which, only through wear and tear over a long period, needed to be replaced. As the longevity was so impressive, we bought the same model albeit updated which not only looks good, but was easy and quick to install using exactly the same replacement wall drillings. I would thoroughly recommend this product which hopefully will last another 15 years.
The Hozelock Wall Mounted Fast Reel with 40m of hose is undoubtably an excellent piece of kit albeit quite expensive. I previously had a wall mounted self-rewind hozelock hose. However, after 15 years it failed and, despite all my tampering I could not get it to work. Whilst this was also a good piece of kit and certainly did the job well it would rewind at a most alarming speed. Hence I decided to purchase a hose that I could rewind myself. I have not been disappointed with my new hozelock; it was easy to assemble and mount on the wall. The rewinding mechanism is excellent and it does the job well. My only complaint is that it is expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for. Anyone having problems with assembling or mounting it should look on YouTube where there are numerous videos showing you how to do it.

Really impressed with this, had it for almost a year and it still works and looks good.
The hose is good quality, it does kink occasionally but not badly.
The reel does make a difference and is so easy to use.

Used a few times now. Well made. Works well. Hose is smaller diameter than previous hose, but very flexible. I suspect the position of the hose guide is important to ensure smooth winding in. 40m length is ideal. Nothing adverse to report.

Practical garden unit, easy to install albeit you have to drill into your brickwork to secure the mounting bracket. Once your bracket is secure just place the hose unit on it. It is easy to remove during the winter for safe keeping, This is the second unit purchased over the years, recommended.

Wish I’d bought one years ago
Attached mine to a wall and it makes life so much easier. Previously had a reel on wheels which always toppled over when winding the hose in. It’s a fast reel in the truest sense, takes seconds to pull out or reel in, hasn’t kinked ever as I ensure I wind in a straight hose and not when it’s coiled up on the lawn. Make sure you do not turn on the water tap before pulling out as much as you need. The water pressure makes it more difficult.

A quality item which is going to make watering in the garden a doddle in the future. I first came upon this particular unit whilst I was doing some watering for a friend whilst they were away and was so impressed I decided to purchase one for myself.
It was easy to assemble and works like a dream. In the past I always had problems with the hosepipe getting crushed whilst winding onto a little unit on wheels. This is far superior even though you do have a handle to wind in the hosepipe but it goes back in really easily and comes out uncrushed. The hose guide really helps to make everything run smoothly and you have a really good length of hosepipe to reach a long way..
Also parts are readily available should they be needed in future and there is a kit you can buy which replaces all the working parts inside the unit which can be worn out in time.

his was a replacement for our old Hozelock hose pipe and reel, had that for approx 14years and would still be using it if it wasn’t 3mtrs short for what we wanted, it is still in good condition and I am wondering what to do with it.
Nice hose and easy to wind
The 40 mtr hose enables me to reach all parts of the back garden. It is quite flexible and seems to be free from the annoying kinking of lesser quality hose. The winding handle is mechanically geared so that it remains easy to rewind the full length of hose even when full of water. I’m also impressed by the guide through which the hose passes. It has rollers that enable the hose to be pulled easily at any angle from the wall. I’m very satisfied with this product, which was delivered promptly and well packaged.

I just need to find out why it drips on the tap end and the end where it connects to the cart. No big deal, just a bit annoying. Hate being beaten. Maybe just needs to be tightened more,Anyway, I can’t water my garden without my lovely cart. Love it. Highly recommend.

It has certainly helped with the watering – the only thing is a find I have to pull the hose quite hard to get it to its full length. Once it is out though, all is well and it reels back in again very easily.

Item is very sturdy
We needed a long hose for the length of the garden. We are reasonably pleased with the item except its a bit awkward and bulky to move around.
OK but not as good as the original.
Similar comments to others. It is my second Hozelock garden hose system but it does not appear to be as robust as the previous model. Hose kinks relatively easily which is irritating. The original reinforced hose did not kink, at least for a couple of years. Last one I had lasted for about 15 years so will be interested to see how long this one will last.

Does what it says. Comes with all fixtures and fittings and the wall-mounted hose guide is invaluable. Easy to install if you have basic skills and the appropriate tools. For best ease of use pull the hose out to the required length before you switch the water on and then when you are finished switch the water off and drain the water out of the hose before reeling it up. Rewind it slowly to avoid kinks in the hose.
