Shoe sizes are not standardized. Every shoe manufacturer uses different measurements in terms of instep height, toe shape and foot width. However, the basis for your own shoe size is always the length of your feet. Thus, you should always determine your foot length before buying in order to choose the right shoe.

These (vapor gloves-all styles) are the only shoes i wear. So the black leather ones like these are what i wear on my feet when i want to look more “formal”. BTW, it took my feet/lower legs about 5 years to remodel such that i was totally aligned with wearing minimals. I am over 70 years old, so probably anyone can do it. Wearing these will probably greatly improve your posture/balance/proprioception/fitness if you give them a chance. It was only after many years of wearing them and feeling like they were so perfect for me that i discovered that i was genetically a small part native american. Make me wonder…..

Fantásticas, aunque con un desgaste acusado de la suela
Excelentes en cuanto a comodidad, peso (mnimo) y adaptabilidad.
Como punto dbil la durabilidad de la suela que al ser tan liviana presenta un desgaste acusado (suelen terminar su ciclo de vida antes de lo esperado debido a esto).
Para mayor durabilidad recomiendo del mismo fabricante y tipo (barefoot) las enfocadas al trekking por tener una suela ms robusta.
Buen contacto con el terreno
En mi caso el uso que les estoy dando es el de zapatillas diarias para paseo, no para actividad deportiva. Para ese objetivo, son enormemente cmodas. Suela muy fina pero muy bien taqueada y con mucho agarre. Mucha sensacin de terreno (autntico “barefoot”). El nmero ajusta a lo que habitualmente uso. Muy bajas de tobillo, como es habitual en este tipo de calzado.
Ya he usado Merrell en otras ocasiones y este modelo no decepciona. Si lo que buscas es un zapato con mucha amortiguacin y suela gruesa, esta no debe ser definitivamente tu opcin.
Toller alltagstauglicher Barfuß-Schuh, aber Probleme mit der Verklebung
Ich trage den Merrel Vapor Glove 3 Luna nun seit knapp vier Monaten fast tglich. Anfnglich fhlte er sich etwas schmal an, aber das legt sich mit der Zeit, das dnne Leder passt sich an den Fu sehr gut an. Die Sohlen sehen nach der Zeit immer noch gut aus, nur ganz leichte Abnutzung. Das Leder wird recht schnell speckig was mich aber nicht weiter strt. Einziges wirkliches Manko ist die leider schlechte Verklebung der Sohle. Der Rand lst sich immer Mal wieder ab. Da ich die Schuhe aber ansonsten mag hab ich die Stellen bisher immer selber wieder geklebt bevor sie sich weiter ablsen konnten.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. And I walk no fewer than 10 miles every single day. That might be a factor in how quickly I wore a hole in the sole of these - they lasted barely 4 months before the ball on the right shoe broke through. For the price, I wish the sole was made of stronger stuff. Still - if you don’t walk a crazy amount like me, these are fantastic shoes. I especially like how the sole wraps up around the toes - very nice for the many times I stub my toes!

The wear shown in the attached photos is after almost daily use since late March 2020. I bike to/from work most days (about 2.5 miles total per day). I replaced the default laces with stretchy ones to make the shoes easier to slip on. Shoes have been quite comfortable throughout. I’ve gone on a handful of hikes with them, and I can’t really recommend hiking in particularly rocky terrain due to the lightweight-ness of the shoe and how thin the soles are. Mountainous terrain in southern AZ left my feet feeling pretty rough afterwards. However I hiked a bit in Olympic National Park and they performed just fine for that particular terrain.
Treads are starting to wear a bit near the heel and ball of my feet. The treads held up longer than I expected them to, but perhaps not as long as I would have liked for paying just upwards of $100 for a sneaker-type shoe. They also started squeaking a bit more on tile floors in the last few months, possibly due to the treads wearing?
The leather (above the toes mostly) started to warp maybe half a year or more ago, hasn’t affected the fit really, but doesn’t look as nice as they did at the start obviously. I haven’t polished or cared for the leather in any way other than wiping them clean once in a while with a damp rag and drying afterwards, so proper care could possibly extend their longevity and keep their shape/appearance.
These are almost more of a glove for your feet, so if you do parkour or some kind of outdoor gymnastics, urban ninja work, or stalking in the woods, you may appreciate the amount of grip you have on wherever your stepping.

Merrill Vapor Glove 3 shoe. I’m a UK 10 but ordered a UK 10. Received a US size 11 which I know is my US shoe size. Super impressed that it fits my freaky wide feet perfectly straight out of the box and is exactly the right length. Great quality flat-soled shoe. It’s a little bit like a climbing shoe but flexible & comfy with lots of toe room.
Conclusion: Be careful of the US/UK size conversions. If in doubt go a UK size up.
Federleichte Schuhe
Man sprt die Schuhe kaum an den Fen. Passen perfekt und sind bequem.
I have worn the sneaker version of these for years, and only recently discovered the Luna 3 model with suede. They are as comfortable as the sneakers, but much nicer looking. Great shoes! I have the olive ones as well as these (navy) and both look great but the navy (more of a dark gray-blue than navy) are my preferred color.

I have been wearing the Vapor Glove for a few years now. They are excellent minimalist shoes, but the regular sneaker version are not ideal for more dressy occasions. When I discovered the Luna model with the suede uppers, I was very happy. They have the comfort and minimalist feel I like but are a little more dressy.

These shoes look very nice. They are comfortable to walk in, there's enough room for the toes. The only problem is the size: No half sizes.

No aguantan mucha paliza
Haba usado un modelo de esta marca exactamente igual pero en tela, en las que acab desgarrndose la tela. stas, al ser de cuero, el cuero aguant, pero acab agujerendose la suela. Esto sucede con deportes que exigen pivotar especialmente sobre superficies de mucho agarre, el giro desgarr las de tela y a su vez desgast la suela del modelo en cuero. Un buen consejo para el fabricante sera que sacrificase un poco el minimalismo y ponga una suela un poco ms gruesa, para que el calzado aguante, lo digo teniendo en cuenta el precio.
Just purchased two pairs of these – they are the nearest thing to the original Trail Gloves as i have found. For some reason Merrell have seen fit to make many of the barefoot shoes with thicker soles and less flexibility and ground feel – this detracts from the whole point of the shoes. I have several pairs of the original Trail gloves which are all at the point of wearing out I wear them for running but also as my casual footwear for 99% of the time and was despairing of getting replacements. I have bought Vapor Glove 4’s and Trail Glove 4’s and find them both too far from the barefoot ideal. These Luna Vapor Glove 3s are great and I’ll wear them for casual. It remains to be seen whether they are suitable for running as the leather I think may prove to hot. I don’t understand why Merrell can’t produce a fabric mesh version of this shoe as well.
Spacious and comfy
Bought to replace my thoroughly worn out Merrell Road Gloves, these have a similarly capacious toe box and minimal stack height.
I wear them inside and out — in fact, I pretty much live in them — and I love their slipper-like comfort.
Though I wear them for casual use, not running, I’m sure they’d be as good for running as my old Road Gloves if I were so inclined.
I expect the usual Merrell durability. I’ve owned a few pairs and all lasted really well. Nothing ever came unglued or unstitched, and worn soles were the only reason I retired them.
Great, thin, confortable
Good shoes. Good fit, but running on a slightly smaller side. They may feel too small if wearing thick socks maybe a half size larger would be better.
I’ve worn thin shoes before and my feet have to get use to feeling the ground again, which is fun.
Good toe protection too.
Comfo
Great shoe. Thought it was snug at first, but they’ve fit to my big square Fred Flintsone feet quickly. I wear them as casual shoes, just for knocking about in. I don’t like wasting shoes with thick shoes, as my ankle ligaments are as weak as wet spaghetti and I could adoration my ankles at any time. These are ace though. I also have a pair of Sundried barefoot shoes for running in and the gym.
I wanted a minimalist shoe that I could walk around in. These are great. I normally wear a US size 11, and per the advice from other reviews I ordered a size US 10.5, and the fit is absolutely perfect. There isn’t much in the way of arch support, but I slipped in a Dr. Schol’s arch support insert and I am good to go!

Top verarbeitet, sehr gute Passform, sehr angenehm zum trage
Die Schuhe sind wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet, sehr angenehm zu tragen. Die Sohle schtzt den fu wunderbar fhlt sich aber dennoch an als ob man keine Schuhe trgt also kommt sehr nah dran. Was auch sehr angenehm war ist als die Schuhe das erste mal ausgepackt worden keine chemischer geruch. Und natrlich Amazon versand on point super schnell
Calzado minimal de buena calidad
Muy cmodo. Ojo con el nmero de pie, calzo 42,5. Pedi el 43 y es el que necesito, pues me queda bien pero justo.
Bastante cmodas. Se ven de muy buena calidad en cuanto a materiales. Nmero pedido segn gua de tallas es coerecto a mi pie. Ni ajustadas ni largas.

Despus de un periodo de adaptacin, al ser de piel, super cmodas. Pero hay que dar de s la piel, si no, me apretaban mucho, aun siendo mi talla.
Barefoot first timer.
It’s my first barefoot shoe, so I’m unable to compare to others – however it is as expected, nice wide toe, flexible sole. Surprisingly comfortable across most terrain with the exception of large stoney paths which you have to choose foot placement carefully. However it’s a good barefoot experience.
