A friend, who works as a cleaner, recommended this vacuum cleaner, and it really is the best!

Excellent hoover. Glad I didn’t spend more on a C3 as thing this is perfect. As an added bonus, the box is big enough to build a vert ramp – they should add that as a USP.

Great hoover, if anything too powerful

I looked at several options for a vacuum/hoover for my budget limit. I first thought a high quality electrical would not be affordable, then somehow found this with special price. The reviews supported the capability for taking care of pet hair and power. It doesn’t have the extra features which are in the latest models, but I am fine with that and am very pleased with the purchase.

I have waited almost 3yrs to put up a review on my Miele mainly because I wanted to see if time would effect it . I have 2 German Shepherds and 5 cats so pet hair was a bloody nightmare . My dogs are now 10yrs old and have managed to go through 2 very expensive Dysons, Sharks and a number of cheaper hoovers UNTIL I purchased a Miele . Everything about Miele is a joy from the amazing suction to ease of changing parts and very solid bags, not one of them have torn . I don’t find it a nightmare anymore to vacuum . As I said I have it almost 3yrs now and it is still as perfect as the day I bought it and God almighty has it been tested. Compared to other vacuums it is not expensive because it is like a work horse it will not let you down and the satisfaction of not seeing dog/cat hair everywhere is a joy . My advice if you have fur babies do yourself a favour and get a Miele you will not be disappointed .

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe Miele classic C1 Junior has a power cable length of approximately 17.9 feet or5.4 m. The vacuum itself is lightweight weighing in just under 6 kg, so it’s not too heavy to carry upstairs. It is also compact in size, so makes it easier for storing away once finished with. The suction power is very strong which can be regulated by the adjustable dial, Which was definitely helpful when I was hoovering my thick piled carpet in the bedrooms. When hoovering the stairs it was easy to handle, as I said before due to its compact size and weight. It also works well on wooden floors as well. It’s overall build quality looks and feels good, As it all clicks and locks together with easy release catches. The only piece that doesn’t lock into position is the accessory holder which slides onto the hose connection that locks into the vacuum. So far it’s been okay and not come off, so it allows me to have all the accessories to hand. In the paperwork there was a QR voucher code to claim free bags and register the vacuum. Overall works really well and is easy to use with the adjustable suction dial.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMiele Classic C1 Junior Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner: Not sure why this is called a Junior – certainly nothing Junior about the suction strength! I presume it refers to the fact it’s lightweight, very easy to manoeuvre and doesn’t take up too much space to store.

This machine provides Miele quality and effectiveness at an affordable price (189.99 at time of review), while it’s still not cheap it is certainly reasonably comparable to similar quality vacuums on the market. As mentioned it delivers very strong suction – so much so that on thicker carpeting it can bog down a bit. Having used a very well known brand of cordless for a number of years I’d not realised how underpowered it was by comparison. The multi-type floor attachment can be easily “clicked” to change from hard to carpeted flooring and both this and the other attachments provided are good quality and fit well.

Again used to emptying the collection drum of a bagless model, it’s really nice to contain all of the dust and grub in the removable bag and disposing of it quickly, neatly and cleanly. The bags contain Hepa filters and fit well, so hopefully do a better job of containing contaminants.

It comes with a voucher code for 4 free bags (normally priced at 12.99), but claiming them was a bit of a fiddle. The voucher directs you to Miele.co.uk/voucher, however when you get there you find you need to register your purchase first. The serial no. Can be found on the data plate on the underside of the machine, however after several failed attempts I realised that it doesn’t require the iniating number, in my case 00/, it just needs the longer number. Once registered its then very tricky to get back to claim the voucher – but eventually it does work and these are sent with free p&p.

I think this is an excellent little vacuum, while small in stature it delivers really well but is easy to manage throughout the house. Excellent!

    Excellent suction power
Same style as 10 years ago just tweaked and works well
    Forget dyson/henry etc
    More pricey but really works

Got this after our previous one died at approx 20 years old. I was a bit unsure as the wattage is so much lower now, but needn’t have worried. Still great suction. The flex is even longer than before. Use it with the extra-large parquet head (worth the price) & cover large areas of hard floor easily. Glad I didn’t change to another make……

A very good vacuum cleaner but suction is too powerful on carpets which makes it hard work!

Very happy with this purchase. It’s amazingly quiet, given its suction power. Had some trouble with dust missing the bag inside the hoover and clogging up the filter but I think that was a faulty bag. Would certainly recommend.

I am still using my Miele I bought around 15 or so years ago, but as I needed one upstairs I bought myself another one. You will not go wrong if you buy one. It also has a turbo head which I find fantastic to get the dog hairs from the carpets. Would I recommend this. Without a doubt!

I was hoping that this vacuum would revolutionise my house cleaning . It’s ok but not as manoeuvreable as I’d hoped , the bags are a bit pricey . Still got hair wrapped around the brush bar . Difficult to tell when the bags are full . I miss being able to see the dirt as with my upright dyson and shark .

Bought as replacement for previous miele that finally died. Did my research and bought this. Does a really good job, so good it lifts the carpet up! Obviously too soon to comment on reliability, but off to a good start.

As described, fantastic on hard surfaces.
if you’re looking at carpets/ rugs its probably too powerful and you’ll spend your time altering the suction level.

Really happy with this vacuum cleaner and the onboard tool storage. Comes with both the large turbo head and the small turbo head for stairs. A bit painful manually removing hair from the head but only takes a few minutes. Very happy with this purchase.

Very well made vacuum cleaner. It’s clear from the outset it’s of high quality. Most powerful suction I’ve seen yet very nice and easy to move around. Couldn’t believe how light it was. I find shopping for vacuum cleaners an absolute minefield with people’s experiences often varying greatly but I was fortunate to have this one recommended to me by a family member. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants something light, powerful and durable. Don’t make the mistake of buying something cheaper. From experience it just means you’ll end up being disappointed.

I thought I’d bought a super vacuum cleaner 16 years ago. I was wrong. The Dyson upright was heavy and didn’t reach into all those difficult to reach spaces. When it finally broke the Dyson repair team broke it again terminally. This machine is in a different league and so powerful it lifts the carpet! But that’s easily adjusted. If it lasts 16 years ’nuff said!

I had a Miele vacuum prior to this and it sadly died one day but not due to the harsh terrain it had to deal with – 5 adults, a dog, 4 cats, chickens, rabbits and the rest – but because someone forgot to pull out all the cable when using it, it got too hot and blew the engine. And that warning was in the manual, so not Miele’s fault. Our cleaner had battled away and given a stellar result for over ten years. BUT these cleaners are unbreakable if you use them properly and are designed to give 20 years of service which I (and some friends who also have Mieles) can certainly agree with.

The Germans know how to do engines and machinery and Miele are market leaders for a reason. After having bought one I’ll never buy another brand. For the slight increase in cost, overall you’re getting a machine that will last and will never reduce in performance over those years.

So this new to me model was a slight upgrade on my last – and wow. So quiet, even on the highest setting! I haven’t been able to use it at anything higher than the 3rd speed of 6 because the 3rd is giving me so much suction power there’s no need. It reassures me that there’s plenty more power to use should I need it. Fantastic.

It’s not especially light but that to me is a good thing as there’s some serious machinery tucked away inside it and it gives it some solidity to it, so it’s stable and won’t go flying off anywhere on its own. Even with this, you can trust Miele to attach the most smooth and slippery castors so manoeuvrability is top notch. It’s extremely easy to move and with 8.50m of cable length there’s a lot less need to go back and forth to unplug and plug in to different spots around the house. Really useful touch.

This model comes with both a standard head and an amazing turbo head (both suck at full power right up to the edges of their heads unlike some cleaners – so nice to not have to get out the crevice tool for this type of thing!) which I never had before that really beats the carpet with its internal roller head and brings up more dirt, especially hair which can sometimes be hard to get hold of. Cleaning it is a bit of a faff – you have to cut through the hair with scissors to get it off the roller – I think Miele should look at finding a way around this but for now I can live with it. Watch out with the turbo brush though, it literally sucks in everything it gets close to (including your own hair) so don’t raise it off the ground if you use it, Miele warn very clearly about this.

This cleaner also comes with a mini turbo head brush so you can use the same power brush action to lift up dirt on awkward jobs like stairs or carpets in cars and it works exactly the same as the large turbo brush.

Another upgrade for me from my last model is that all the parts are now kept tucked away in the body of the cleaner whereas before they balanced on the outside of it. I really like that. Nice and tidy and accessible.

Finally, Miele have simplified the way the cleaner is used, from the foot operated buttons to switch it on and off, on the opposite side the button to retract the cable (literally one tap will bring the whole length in rather than you having to stand on the button until it’s finished), at a glance lights illuminating which suction level you’re using, the click system to attach heads and extensions, the sliding mechanism to extend the cleaner arm (so easy! so smooth!), even the sliding vent in the arm moves well too. As before the bag replacement operation is a doddle and clean to do (some cleaner manufacturers’ bags give you a puff of dirt as you remove the bag but Miele bags have a little flap that stops that – aren’t they the best?!), filter replacement is simple and when it’s job is done, you can pack your cleaner away either flat with the arm slotted in at the base of the unit or even upright and the arm slotted into the side of the unit.

If you buy this Miele cleaner or probably any of them you won’t be disappointed!

Oh one more thing, for a vacuum cleaner, it’s also a beautiful looking item. Very sleek, stylish and modern! Enjoy!

Best vacuum in the world, I had one for 10 years before it gave up the ghost, was very well used, I bought a different one from Tesco for 55 quid and it was absolutely useless, so come payday invested in a new miele cat and dog. I have never been more excited about vacuuming, it is now a pleasure, takes a third of the time and you can see the difference after one pass. Perfect.

Have only had it for a few day and used it a couple of times – works brilliantly and makes our carpet look remarkably clean. So I am really pleased with it.

However I have only given it a 4 star as it doesn’t seem to pick up longer hairs on the carpet effectively, a weakness other reviewers have mentioned previously. But it doesn’t bother me much and I am still very happy with the purchase.

I was finding it difficult to use my heavy vacuum cleaner on the stairs – too unwieldy and cumbersome in a relatively narrow space.

I decided to invest in this cleaner because Miele has a good reputation. I have previously bought white goods from them which lasted in excess of 26 years before needing to be replaced.

This cleaner is considerably cheaper than some of their more sophisticated models, but its suction power is second to none, it is light and easy to handle on the stairs. I like the on-board storage facility for the tools because they are on hand and easy to change as needed.

It is not over-noisy in use. I bought this mid-October and there is no indication that the bag needs changing. I was so pleased with this, I ordered one for my sister. She said it’s the best vacuum cleaner she has ever owned.

I have worked as cleaner for years and from the many ones I have worked, these is the best one for sure , with bags and filters are more efficient and hygienic as the bagless loose the suction over time and break quicker.

Great improvement of the c3 burgundy normal version. Suction is great. I have two dogs and never noticed stair fur until I used this hover, now I can see the difference. Great hover!
