Excellent Mattress Toppe
I bought this to replace a previous topper that was 10 Years old. This new one is amazing! It comes rolled up in a box so you have to unpack it and leave for at least 24 hours to fully reform. The foam mattress has is own zipped cover so you can remove this and wash the cover, it also has deep straps to avoid any movement.
Sleep wise, it is very comfortable and being a propper memory foam, it is supportive and works very well. All in all a big improvement and I find this exceptional value.
Update: this topper did eventually finish outgassing and smelling bad after about one month. I like it just fine now and seller was supportive through the process. Changed from two to four stars: it’s a good topper but be prepared for a lot of extra airing beyond the advised 48 hours. Leaving the original review below for posterity.

I’m not particularly sensitive to smells, but this mattress topper is really very smelly. It has a rubbery, harshly chemical reek. The instructions say to leave the topper uncovered in a well-ventilated room for 48 hours before zipping it back up and using it. I ended up leaving it for about 80 hours, turning regularly. After this time, there was still a noticeable pong in the air, despite me having a large bedroom with large windows left wide open, with air freely circulating from the rest of the house to the outside, and leaving a fan on the whole time. Hoping for the best, I washed the cover and my bedclothes with a nice fabric conditioner, put some scented dryer sheets inside the cover, and made up the bed. A week later, and my bedroom still stinks. Whenever the windows aren’t fully open, the smell accumulates, and the bedclothes have absorbed the foul odor and they too stink. Although the stink is possibly getting less pungent as the days pass — I wonder if I’m just getting used to it?
I’m going to give this topper a several more weeks and go through another cleaning cycle to see if the problem resolves, and then update this review accordingly.
I notice in the “Answered Questions” section above, someone asks about the bad smell — and a lady replies advising to leave the topper to air out in well-ventilated conditions for FOUR WEEKS and says “good luck”. That reply is heavily downvoted. Why? I can well believe that might be what it takes to get rid of this smell… and I’m puzzled that more reviewers haven’t mentioned the issue.
I really hope for the best because in all other respects this is an excellent topper. The cover is very well designed, a good fit with a non-slip texture on one side. My mattress is somewhat too soft, saggy, with lumpy hard bits and this topper resolves all those issues. But if it doesn’t stop smelling so bad I’ll just buy a new mattress.

Bought this product as I have problems with my back and shoulder and wake up in pain. Only just used it but if it continues the way it has I wished I’d bought it ages ago. So far the pain has eased on waking up as it’s supporting the pressure points thus giving me a much better sleep. The comfort of the topper is amazing!!!

Amazing pain relief
Brought a single topper to take on holiday as the beds in the holiday cottage had mixed reviews. It was so brilliant, it’s relieved my hip pain and on returning home, I’ve ordered a king size version to go on top of our own 5 year old Simba mattress as this didn’t compare. Don’t delay, buy one today if you have back or hip issues.

Ordered the small double, it’s a little under the required dimensions. Maybe 2″ too short.
The ends are not as yet expanding to size so the first few inches at each end are pretty flat.
But it’s fairly firm and comfortable for my needs, helping with back pain after laying on it for a number of hours compared to without.
Overall seems to be a good product, for the price. Bought it on sale. But only a few days of sleeping will know for sure.
I would say a 4-5 star product but for the minor issue of being a bit short and the ends.
With that I would still say 3.5, but Amazon doesn’t allow for that. So a 3 but may increase after a few days of use and see how it works out.
But as it stands I recommend.
Very comfortable
We bought a good firm mattress however it was too hard. We started to suffer with back pain. This topper has restored our comfortable sleeping positions. Tip It takes at least 24hrs to inflate mattress once unpacked. Also takes a couple of weeks to mould / adjust to your specific needs.
Very comfortable
This did exactly as I wanted. My divan bed is 10+ years old and instead of buying a new mattress or complete bed, I decided to give this a go. This has completely changed my bed, it now feels like a complete new mattress.
Only downside which will be an upside in the winter. It holds heat very quick. Great in the winter months but im glad I didnt have it a few weeks ago with 30 degrees plus outside!
Very comfortable
Really wasn’t expecting too much ,just thought it was worth a try. VERY surprised…….my wife has back problems and she loves it. I also found it to be very comfortable. With regard to other reviews regarding mattress smelling ,we followed instructions after unwrapping and never found this to be a problem. We are very pleased.
Nice product, I was skeptical at first but..
I was a bit disappointed at first when I opened the box and put it on my mattress that has springs and made my sleeping uncomfortable, but after 3-4 days it came to its full size.. It has to be on the flat surface for several days to reach its full ‘potential’ so to speak so that the memory foam is fulfilled with air..

I bought this topper to use on my T5 campervan rock and roll bed (3/4 size) as it was way to uncomfortable and hard before. It has totally transformed my sleeping experience in the camper. I bought the small double size which fits the 112cm wide rock and roll bed perfectly with about 2″ overhang. It also rolls up enough to store on the back of the rock and roll bed when in the seating position and the corner loops help to keep it in place when rolled up or on the bed.

Caravan sofa’s tend to be a little on the cheap side, and much like a very cheap mattress. I was struggling with trapped nerve in my shoulder, and painful back when getting up in a morning (took a while to “loosen up”)
Adding this as a standard double to the caravan cushions has completely transformed our sleeping experience. Okay, so it does feel a little hotter, much like a lot of memory foam mattresses do, but being 5cm thick, the effect isn’t as pronounced.
Provides great support, gives nicely around shoulders if you are a side sleeper, and provides a nice restful sleep. We haven’t brought it in to try on a cheap mattress indoors yet, it’s staying in the caravan, suppose we may bring it out if we have guests over in the spare room. Worth every penny and some.

When I unpacked the mattress topper I wasn’t convinced it would ever lie flat – it was folded, rolled and vacuum sealed for delivery which resulted in some pretty extreme creases and warping. After 24 hours though it was perfectly flat and even.
My old mattress is a bit threadbare and the springs would keep me awake at night before, but with the mattress topper I can’t feel them at all. It’s like a whole new bed

Having bought many mattresses and toppers over the past two decades to alleviate a lower back problem,
my wish has finally come true. The support this topper gives is superb, firm with enough absorption to prevent that ‘sinking’ feeling, Being of a larger frame (100 Kg+) finding a topper that retains its spring has been a truly heaven sent experience.

We bought this for our caravan bed which felt a little soft. My husband and I have both had operations on our backs & need to ensure our mattress is supportive. We both found it extremely comfortable & suitable. I fully intend to buy another for the spare bed. Some comments mentioned a smell – even in a confined caravan this was very minimal. I didn’t notice anything but my husband said he thought he smelled s faint smell once!
Quite comfy mattress pad
I do like this mattress pad, it has improved my sleep quality somewhat, however, it hasn’t improved my back pain as much as I thought it would. However, I have an electric blanket over the pad, so that may be why it’s not helped my back pain. I’ve been a long time user of memory foam mattress pads, and they are excellent if you like a comfy night’s sleep. This pad seems to be of good quality so far, it’s nice and thick, and has kept its shape, just as you’d expect from a memory foam mattress pad. I especially liked that I could get it in a smaller than single size, because my husband likes a very firm mattress, so he won’t use a mattress pad like this. This pad fits perfectly on my side of a king size bed. We even measured to make sure we got equal bed width for both of us, and it was spot on! Highly recommended.

Bought this as a topper for futon which has no ‘give’ whatsoever. It made a difference to comfort but there is a persistent lingering chemical smell which is awful. I aired it for a day and half before putting it on but it’s still there. I’ve currently stripped the bed again and it’s now hanging on the gate outside to see if the smell goes.
UPDATE – updated my review to 5 stars. After re-airing the mattress the smell has now gone. The customer service I received was out of this world. I don’t normally go back and change reviews but this company really did listen. Would not hesitate to recommmed.

This mattress topper is very thick, very plush and really comfortable. You will love sleeping on it! I know I do. The sleep (and nap) quality is great. This mattress topper doesn’t fix my chronic back pain but it does help quite a bit. It has a strong “factory” smell when you purchase it but we gave the cover a good wash and let the foam sit out in the open air for over 24 hours and that helped. After a few days sleeping on it the smell disappeared. The cover has little rubber dots along the bottom to keep it from sliding and four extremely sturdy and good elastic straps to hook it to your mattress. We are both toss and turners and it hasn’t budged!

I’m so glad I ordered this mattress topper. After not really being able to air it for as long as recommended (the only space large enough to have it laid out was the bed it was intended for and we needed to sleep on it!) I was a bit concerned about the chemical smell. But I understand this is normal for memory foam and it has now completely disappeared. This has transformed a relatively new but very hard mattress into a wonderful comfortable bed worthy of a five star hotel! I was suffering with sore hips and an achey lower back in the morning and now I have none of these things. My sleep quality is vastly improved and I really look forward to going to bed!

Finally better quality sleep
I bought a small single mattress and it fits perfectly on one half of a double bed.
We already have a good memory foam mattress but with my Fibromyalgia I have a lot of pains when laying down. Especially hips, back and shoulders. I’ve tried this mattress a couple of weeks now and I am so much more comfortable now and I’m getting much better sleep.
I saw on a review that many mentioned the smell. I took the risk and I’m glad I did. There is an initial smell of a new matress.. They all do. That smell goes after a week and it isn’t that bad. I highly recommend it.

Literally so goooood. I’ve suffered with back/neck/shoulder pain for years. Visited physios and oseopaths for years and while they helped, I’d still find myself suffering with pain and sleeping with hot water bottles on my back at night to help. This topper really genuinely truly helps. It’s so comfortable, you sink into it, but not to the point you’re aware of it. It’s firm enough to sit on, but when you sleep it just moulds around you and oh my gosh. I’ve never slept better. Along with the Noffa memory foam pillows I have, honestly this is the best and easiest sleep Ive had for years

Bought this for my elderly dad who was really suffering from a bad back but refused to buy a new mattress. He was waking all through the night in pain as the mattress was so hard. Hot and smelly
Topper was very smelly and still is, it would be very difficult to air if you haven’t a spare room to do it. I think it will very hot in the summer . Not convinced that it wouldn’t bounce back into shape after a little while and just become a big dip in the mattress

I have always struggled finding the correct mattress in order to support my lower back pain. When reading about this mattress topper &’the excellent reviews, I thought why not give it ago.
To say I’m over the moon is an understatement. I’ve not had such a good night & comfortable sleep & waking up with no back pain in such a long time. Excellent value for money.
I was sceptical
When I read the reviews for this mattress topper, I was sceptical about the comments, but no longer. After only one night I can sing its praises long and loud. A good night’s sleep, hardly any pain and my back has only hurt a little all day. More energy because of a good sleep and I’ve whizzed through the house work. Let’s hope it continues.

After struggling to sleep on my new mattress for months I decided to invest in a topper. There was hundreds to choose from all varying in price from 20 pounds all the way to 500. After much research I decided to purchase this one and I’m so glad I did. This offers a pure piece of memory foam without the silly designs other companies implement making it feel as though you’re sleeping on a egg carton. The difference is night and day, before my bed was really hard causing me shoulder and back pain however now I feel way more comfortable in bed and find it easier to sleep. The price might seem a lot but it’s better to buy something that’s going to actually work then waste your money on gimmicks. The quality is excellent also comes with a long guarantee for peace of mind. Finally it has straps to strap onto your mattress keeping it in place. This wasn’t mentioned I don’t think.

I’ve found this mattress topper to be a brilliant addition to my very firm foam mattress issues on our spare bed (ikea day bed).
No it does not make it like sleeping on clouds and i don’t think it would be right to buy this as a solution to underlying pain with back or posture issues.
As a mattress topper to make a very firm mattress a little more comfortable it works perfectly. No smell issues to report. It fits the he’d perfectly. I can now have a good night’s sleep when I need to use it. So all in all brilliant product. Just don’t think spending this amount of money on something than is only a few cms thick will cure everything…

TIP – unwrap and remove cover, gently wash and dry. Leave foam flat in a well ventilated room for 5- 7 days. Turning occasionally. When you feel the smell of the foam has dispersed enough for you to try the topper on your bed- zip on the cover.
Then sleep soft & sound. My hip pain has improved.
We have a Habitat Kota sofa bed which is ok comfort wise for an odd night, I’d say you can put up with it. But with the addition of a Recci small double mattress topper (which is exactly the same size) it’s as good as a normal bed, it even makes it the “bed” the right size for a fitted sheet and mattress protector. And when it’s not being used we roll it and fold it in half to fit in a 100 ltr holdall. Perfect and great value.

Sometimes this is comfy and sometimes I’m left achy! You do not sink into this as you can with some memory foam products and has a certain firmness too it. Its comfy and cosy but sometimes I can wake up abit achy the next day! It seems I love it or don’t week by week! I qouldnt buy it again but I dont hate it.

Fantastic - very comfortable
I bought this for an elderly relative who has vascular dementia. The mattress was easy to put on top of her existing bed, and she found it very comfortable. Previously, every night was a painful and distressing experience as she could feel ‘lumps’ in her bedding – just like the Princess and the Pea.
Do bear in mind the thickness of this mattress does add extra height to your bed – we used flat sheets. You may need extra deep fitted sheets. We also have bed guards fitted on the bed to prevent falling and supervise getting up/going to bed.
I bought this for my son soon after he started uni this year. He has a scoliosis and his student bed was pretty uncomfortable so I said I would try to source something for him. Having researched the internet, I decided to buy this topper. It was expensive and more than I wanted to pay but I’m so pleased I did as he says his bed is so much for comfortable. We spend a third of our day in bed so its very important to protect our backs, be healthy and comfortable.

I just bought a new bed and the mattress was a hard orthopaedic mattress which was proving difficult to sleep on. Suffering with severe back pain I decided to order this and I can honestly say this has been the best purchase I have ever made!! Since using the Recci memory foam topper, I am sleeping so well and wake up refreshed and with hardly any pain in my lower back and I don’t want to leave my bed! Makes mattress feel softe
I’m disappointed. It’s fantastic for those who love soft sleep. But for back pains .. I don’t understand why ppl say helps them because now I use it few weeks and my back worsened. It’s way too painful now. Because it’s way too soft for me. I though will make mattress to feel more harder as some comments said that but it’s opposite! IT MAJE TOUR MATTRESS FEEL SOFTER! I personally regret to purchase this topper. Don’t know what to do with it now. I can’t use it … Too soft for me … And BTW it shifts to a side after few nights, have to keep correct to fit to my mattress .. it has untislip cover but doesn’t work for me.
Great topper but does have a smell
This topper has been incredibly comfortable to sleep on and ever since we put it on our bed, we have not had any stiff or achy backs in the morning! I think our mattress was just a little too hard so this was a great way of not having to buy a new mattress. However, it does still have a weird smell even a week after it arrived. We gave it 24 hours before using it. The smell is getting less prominent so will hopefully disappear soon.
Saved me buying and expensive new mattress
After spending a stupid amount of time reviewing memory foam mattresses (hours of my life I’ll never get back lol) it suddenly dawned on me to try a memory foam topper in the first instance. Well, it was a decision well made as it has provided that bit extra support for my hips and neck where I have been waking up in pain for months. I thought the pains were due to my mattress being too soft, but this has really helped level things out and provide that bit of extra support, even if it’s for the short term for me.
It also comes with a cover which is machine washable and helps to make a big lump of foam look a little more pleasant.
For the price I would definitely recommend this topper if you want avoid spending hundreds on a new mattress.
Good but stinky
Pro’s : Major improvement on the bare mattress , feels decadent in comparison , super easy to remove.
Con’s : Don’t know how easy it will be to transport (I’ll probable be moving houses within the year , so this is future me’s problem .Stinks to the high heavens when you first unroll , just open all of the windows . As i don’t have a spare bed to rest on I couldn’t leave the protector for 24 – 48 hrs but its still very comfortable .
My mattress had become bumpy with the springs and uncomfortable, rather than forking out for a new mattress we went for the superking topper and it’s made such a difference – it’s so comfortable! Great as a top layer on a motorhome bed
My motorhome has a bed which is made up of several cushions which fit together like a jigsaw to make a small double. Unfortunately, during the night, they tend to drift apart, making ridges and hollows which are uncomfortable to sleep on. I bought this mattress to go on top, and have found it is really comfy, and seems to keep the cushions underneath from slipping apart. Haven’t used it long-term, but so far it’s been a really good buy. Rolls up to store in the overcab area during the daytime. Luckily, in my motorhome, this is exactly the right size
I was very sceptical about it. For long time I have been searching for topper. But with this one. I’m so happy that I invested a little bit more. Is so as manufacturers say’s.
My husband had bad back ache and now he is keep saying that he feels much better. ( He wouldn’t say it otherwise ). So for me is recommendation. Ppl was saying that there is odd chemical smell. I had the topper open for few hours and the smell we didn’t even noticed in about 6h time after opening. There was review that have not the proper measures for double bed. Yes that is true. It haven’t got the 135cm width (-1cm ). But it’s not a big issue because the bed sheet take the edges slightly down anyway. And I’m not sleeping on the edge of my bed, are you ?

Ok so when this arrived I was disappointed at it as I expected it to be much thicker. There were lots of creases and wrinkles which looked like they would never come out. I left it on the bed and after a few hours it was flat and ready to use. I’ve had back neck and shoulder ache for years and have become used to waking up aching, and after one night on this topper I can’t tell you how much relief I’ve had. I feel like a new person, don’t hesitate to buy this. I bought it to go on top of two single mattresses as we’ve them pushed together to make a super king and it’s done this perfectly well! Am very happy so far…

Amazing. Had awful back pains prior to my purchase. During the night I would really struggle, sometimes even resorting to sleeping on the sofa.
Tonight is my first night sleeping in the RECCI, and it’s phenomenal. No back pain whatsoever. Not having to rely on tramadol to put me to sleep!
But please, if you do purchase a RECCI, leave it completely unwrapped, on a flat surface for AT LEAST 24hrs!

Ok , so I ordered this as I’ve a zip and link 6′ mattress and a feather bed on it , however having hurt my knee and foot , I wanted more comfort, the fact that the feather bed needed to be fluffed every few days . I opted to try this !
I’ve had a wonderful night sleep extremely comfortable when you turn , reminded me of our other dunlopillow single beds which I have since the 70’s and still fantastic .
I got the covered version and I would say it’s normal and doesn’t heat if that makes any sense .i was worried that it would not be thick enough but it’s perfectly adequate and I’m not a twiggy

I bought this product to ease ache in left side of lower body and it has eased the ache. The topper is comfortable and I like it has a washable cover.
Relief
Bought this to top a cheap mattress which was causing aches and pains through springs and hardness. Felt a little achy over the first few days probably due to the change from hard to soft support but now I feel great and sleep much better! The topper was packaged very nicely and the foam cover is good quality with a nice textured feel and a sticky surface on the bottom to prevent it sliding on the old mattress. The topper has a new mattress smell for the first couple days which I personally like but this has now dissipated completely after the first week.

Purchased last month and using since 2nd july. Expanding properly without any issues in 24hrs and no creases or bumps. Definitely more comfortable on my cheap mattress and you csnt feel the springs anymore. So far it is keeping its depth and shape.Will see in a month if it continues to. If i was to buy again, i would probably go for the even thicker one

I suffer from bilateral hip labral injury with parablabral cyst and trochanteric bursitus/abductor tendinopathy but I”ve been reluctant to buy a mattress topper as I thought it would be a waste of money. It’s difficult to assess how effective they are – certainly price is no indication when you read the often varied reviews. The reviews on RECCI however were all good and the price very reasonable so I thought it was worth a try and I have been amazed at the difference it has made to me. I have waited 3 weeks before leaving a reviewing incase it was a short-lived or coincidental benefit but I’m pleased to report that I am still sleeping better and waking without pain in my hips that I have been enduring for years despite medication and more intrusive medical procedures to offer pain relief. It used to take me ages to ‘get going’ every morning but now I feel as mobile as I’ll ever be first thing – just getting out of bed is a pleasure!
Mattress topper for our T4 camperva
Was looking for a replacement mattress topper for our rock-n-roll bed (used on top of a 10cm self-inflating mat) and was very pleased with the comfort. It’s so soft, but effective at just 5cm. I am a side-sleeper and previously suffered with my back in the van. Did not experience any smell after leaving the mattress uncovered for about 18-hrs. After one test night on the drive in lockdown, so far so good and looking forward to when we can camp again!

I need a new mattress but decided to invest in a mattress topper as a short-term solution. It was difficult to choose, but I eventually decided to go for this one as it seemed to be good quality and offered a money back guarantee. The one star review which talks about ‘nice marketing’ nearly put me off, but I’m glad I ignored it – I’m not sure that they were reviewing the same thing. The product arrived a day ahead of schedule and was exactly as described. Having unpacked it, I left it to air on a flat surface as per the instructions. It had a couple of ridges when first unpacked and a slight smell but both of these issues went very quickly and it was ready to put on the bed within 24 hours. It is very soft and comfortable but may take some getting used to after years on a very hard and uncomfortable mattress. It is too early to say whether it will help with my lower back pain, but it is certainly refreshing not to be aware of my ribs and hip when lying on my side now.
In spite of having a memory foam mattress I decided to give this a go as I have several chronic health problems, one of which means my joints dislocate easily and they’re often painful too.
This made the mattress immediately feel softer and comfier. I’m definitely sleeping better than I was without it.
Has Provided Some Help with Back Pai
The mattress has provided me with some relief from back pain, but not as much as I had hoped. It’s nice and soft and has a well made cover. But hey, there’s a 30-night free trial and a 10-year warranty so it’s worth considering.
This is my second time buying this matresss topper, this time I bought for my king size bed. it’s very comfortable and luxurious soft. It really makes a difference with it on. The non-slip surface really good, does exactly what it’s said.

We have a new bed that should be medium firmness but it’s definitely on the more firm side. Both myself and the hubby were suffering with pressure point soreness and sore lower backs.
Bought this before looking into replacing the mattress.
So glad I did its amazing so soft and comfortable we’ve had fabulous nights sleep and wake up with no back aches or pressure point soreness.
Would 100% recommend if you’re finding the mattress you have to firm.
There was a small amount of foam smell stright out of the bag. I just unzipped it hing the cover over a door and allowed the foam to regain it’s shape reput the cover on and there was no smell.
It’s comfy. It helped my back when my new mattess started to cause it pain again. You need to rotate it. Or it’ll end up dipping a bit in places.
Now I marked it down because every morning. Every single morning. I have to ‘re make the bed. Move it back into place and ‘re place the sheet that’s pinged off the end. It doesn’t sit very well ontop of the mattess and slides during the night. Or movement. Even getting out of bed once causes it to move. So make sure you have sheets big enough but not too big or it’ll all be un comfy when it pings off and roles under you.
It didn’t smell of anything. Looks good quality. It just doesn’t fit properly or stay where it should.
I am very satisfied about this topper mattress. Every time I lie down I just can’t believe how nice and soft and cosy it is.
I m a low back pain sufferer because of disc compression and this mattress is soft enough to give support to the whole body but without being too soft. Basically your body will sink just enough so that the mattress will provide stability from shoulders to toes (I am 6.1 feet , 80 kilos)

I thought I wasn’t a very fussy sleeper until I had slept a few nights on this heaven-sent mattress topper. Beware of sleeping in new and unfamiliar beds after sleeping a few nights atop this ethereal topper. I bought this on a whim and I have felt so rested and so comfortable that I wake up most days not wanting to leave the bed but not because I want to sleep more, but simply because it is so incredibly comfortable.
Aside from the rave reviews of comfort, the mattress topper itself came neatly packaged and came with what looks like a letter-opener in order to facilitate the package opening. There are some reviews that mention a mild smell that came with opening, but I was unaware of such scent. The cover is easily removable and washes just fine.
With regard to dimensions, it is the tiniest bit smaller than a double bed but I only noticed this because I had read reviews that mentioned the minuscule size difference. Otherwise, I’m not sure I would’ve noticed.
Overall, I highly recommend this product and if I could buy more of these toppers, I would but alas, I own but one bed.
I( have to say I was a little dubious of buying a topper online, but suffice to say it’s very comfortable and appears to be very good quality. I laid it out on the bed for about 12 hours to allow it to expand and then put the cover back on (the cover is zipped on 3 sides so it’s a doddle), and I have to say, its far more comfortable than the 7cm one it replaced. I haven’t noticed much of a smell and even then, it’s only a slight rubbery aroma. Its still very new, so time will tell, but it looks good so far!
Product arrived next day as expected, rolled up in a box. There was absolutely no smell when we opened it up. We left it to air about 8 hours (we are impatient) and stuck it on the mattress.
It felt incredibly comfortable, we really noticed a difference, BUT the first night we did not sleep at all. We felt rested but no sleep. We were thinking of returning but we decided to give it a another chance.
Well, from the 2nd night onwards we’ve had the best sleeps ever. You just need to give it a night or two to get used to it. No matter which position you sleep in, you’ll always feel your body is supported and those gaps between your back and the mattress – gone!! Also very good breathing (or whatever the term is) as you don’t feel baking hot at any point during the night.
Overall perfect buy, we are very happy, and much cheaper than a new mattress, which we were considering.
EDIT JAN 2020: 2 months in, I sadly say, the mattress has lost its firmness and I am back in the same position (as it were) with a curved back and pain again. What a shame!! It was excellent while it lasted. I thought it was too good to be true. We will try turning the it 180 degrees, fingers crossed.
Abaolutely love this mattress topper. It is SO comfortable and have had the best nights sleep for a long while. I bought one for my daughters bedroom and had a guest staying. They remarked how comfortable it was. My daughter loves it so we now have one on our double bed. Would highly recommend. No smell, no messing, doesn’t slip and you dont get sweaty. X
I had been suffering from backache for several months which according to my doctor was muscular. I had tried massages, visits to the osteophath but nothing was helping long term. When I tried the mattress topper for the first time I had a really comfortable night’s sleep and the aches and stiffness the next day were much less and I am feeling much more mobile. I was so impressed with the topper I have bought another one for my 85 year old mother who suffers with osteo arthritis.
OK I like this topper. I have had to use toppers for many years now as they are the only things that relieve my neck pain and numb shoulders when sleeping. Problem is they invariably never last as long as they claim to and my last one only lasted about a year before it didn’t do any “cushioning” any more.
After a lot of mental debate I settled on this one which states that it uses a memory foam single piece core (many are not utilising 2-3 different types of foam welded together and many only offering just 1 inch of memory foam which is totally pointless!)
I would have preferred to be able to purchase a 3″ thick topper as that offers the best support and cushioning but they are HARD to find in RELIABLE makers so I settled for this 2″ topper.
The main requirement naturally was performance – more on that later – but it had to have no bad odours and come with a removable washable cover.
Cover is great – made from bamboo so they claim – so I’m all for that.
Odours – what you should expect – memory foam does off gas but it should be low odour and not foul smelling – this one is one of the best I’ve had to be honest with the odour dissipating after only 4-6 days and barely noticeable to start with.
The only way you’re going to get a topper that has low odour with what can be assumed safe off gassing is to resist the urge to buy the cheapest ones out there which are more than likely made in various Factories where regulations regarding such things are a great deal more lax than over here for example. This one is made in China but is more than likely from a more ISO accredited place.
RECCI are a well known brand and so I placed some faith in them and I wasn’t disappointed.
HOWEVER there is a BUT.
I will never understand why the topper manufacturers are not able to use a tape measure correctly by the seem of things. I measured my mattress and it was EXACTLY 150cm wide top to bottom. This topper is 1 cm shy on either side making it 148 cm wide. This is damned annoying and they all seem to have this problem!.
as such there is a little dip on either side of the bed – luckily having a kingsized bed makes this a little less annoying and noticeable but if this is something that persists with smaller bed sizes it could be a deal breaker!!
despite that it is the first topper I have bought that came with a grip dot coating on the underside which indeed helps a great deal with keeping the topper in place during the night. All my prior toppers did not have this and they all had a mind of their own sliding quite a lot during the night! This still happens with this one but nowhere near as bad! – Commendations to Recci for this little addition which is most welcomed.
Finally – does it do what it says it will – well yes and quite well – Insant relief to my neck and no more numbed shoulders – It feels a little too firm when you first lie on it and you may doubt whether it will be any good – but it is deforming and yet still have enough “spring” to support you without collapsing like a cheap topper would!
I’m actually pretty impressed with it – it’s out peforming any of my prior purchases so far and extended use will be able to tell me if it can keep this performance up over the long term – fingers crossed But I’m confident so far!
So to summarise – RECCI – if you could have made it ACTUALLY 150cm wide like you claimed it would be you would have gotten 5 stars off me! But you didn’t and thus you’re not. You’ve almost got a perfect product here – a shame you couldn’t get that ONE thing right!
If you ever feel like making one that is 3″ thick AND it’s TRUELY 150 cm wide – gimme a shout – I’ll buy it right away!! 😉
Changed all my mattresses recently (mine, kids rooms and guest room) but also changed my girlfriend! (Haha!). She found the new ones a little firm so looked high and low for the most cost effective solution. Have tried normal toppers before and they wouldn’t have done enough and are pricvey enough anyway, so took a chance on this. It has certainly added a softer layer that you can sink into a little, while still enjpying the support of the mattress underneath.
My only qualm is that it is oversized. I bough a King for my King-sized mattress (funnily enough) and it flops over the edge by some 3 inches or so, which makes it look a bit rubbish when the sheet is stretched over it. For the price though it is still a winner. I didn’t find much else that came close in the memory foam department.
This is the best purchase I think I have ever made.
It has transformed my night and I feel like a new man.

Nothing seemed to help the back pain I was getting at night so swayed by the 30 day trial I decided to give this a go. Despite warnings of unpleasant smell and over heating I have not found this to be the case. I do suffer with overheating at night and it is certainly no worse and in fact might even have improved. Although not completely gone my back pain is considerably better and no longer waking me at night. Well worth giving it a try, a very comfortable nights sleep.
Transformed my too firm mattress
Bought this topper after much research as a cheaper alternative to have to replace my too firm mattress as we were having major back and hip problems.
Having been warned off memory foam due to heat retention and ease of movement, I decided to try this one, and also purchase a cheaper polyester topper to give a cooler, cotton top feel…..great move as the two together are the perfect combination and saved me a fortune especially as our bed frame is IKEA 160X200 euro king size.
Only down side is the advice to remove mattress cover to let breath and get rid of initial odour….the cover is really difficult to get back on and there was no odour anyway.
All in all a great purchase and arrived a day early!

Thank God i bought after reading reviews. Since i started using this mattress topper double, my backpains and discomfort have all gone. Initially, i was scared tho cos i’ve never used anything else other than orthopaedic mattresses so thought this might actually add to my discomfort, cos i actually bought it out of desperation to curb my backpains and discomfort which arose from using this same orthopaedic and pillows. This did the magic. I did however noticed that using this topper with a memory foam pillow which i bought elsewhere wasn’t that great so haven’t used them both together but the guy that introduced me to this memory foam thing uses both and says he has no issues. Anyways, i use this mattress topper with an 85 pillow i bought from dreams some two years ago which should also be some kind of memory foam or better qulity and they both work for me nicely and yet this same pillow i haven’t been able to use it with my orthopaedic mattress together as it discomforts me. But now it goes well with the memory foam topper, no wonder they say never underrate anything and don’t call a fish stupid just because it can’t swim out of its comfort zone, water. Will recommend this topper 100%. It’s a yes from me lol. Now when i lie on that bed, i really don’t wanna get up. Omg that mattress can make you wanna stay in bed all day!
I have a hard orthopaedic mattress which was proving difficult to sleep on. Since using the Recci memory foam topper, I am sleeping so well and wake up refreshed for the first time in such an age. I don’t want to leave my bed! I believe in the saying that one should spend the most one can afford on your bed and your shoes, if you’re not in one you’re in the other! Thank you Recci and Amazon.
I am very happy, I used the mattress for a week. The quality is very good, the size is just right, the elasticity is very good, the waist is not painful. The sleep quality is improved.
I have bought other topper before, but it doesn’t have the effect I want. My mattress is a little soft and my back hurts when I sleep, so I want to try this topper. It slept comfortably, it didn’t cave in, and it was just hard enough, I don’t feel pain in my back when I sleep, and it feels comfortable to tuch.
