I installed basically all the track from the 7 meter kit plus 2 90 degree turns across two entire walls of my room. It works like a dream, probably my favorite and most reliable smart device. About $500 all in for 6 blackout curtains and the full rail but I’m totally happy. It changes a room of complete windows to totally black.

After looking at at many ways to open my curtains remotely this curtain rail stood out as the best option..
As others have said the instruction pamphlet could have been better however YouTube to the rescue and the installation was completed fairly easily.
The rail is of very good quality with all fixtures and fittings of the same standard it operates really smoothly and quietly.
    Well worth the price.
The remote included works well, I haven’t tried to link it up to Wi-Fi yet I might not even bother as the remote is perfect and comes with its own bed/wall attachable housing. You can stop the curtains at any point and and reverse the action.
The remote is also reprogrammable if required but mine worked perfectly from the box.
Have had a a small pelmet fitted over the top of the rail and curtains and this has given it it a really smart appearance.
Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this product, I’m fairly sure it will give many years service as build quality and operation really is good.

The smart app that controls it is very hard to connect as it only allows 2.4 ghz and most phones are not 2.4 ghz meaning you have to use your cell phone in tethering mode with another device to connect. The hardware is very well designed. You must watch the you tube videos and follow along carefully.

I love how it does exactly as I envisioned, AND it fits my GINORMOUS windows with added flexibility to go on the roof or wall

I had no problems at all getting the track, belt and motor set up, though I do wish that they had traditional picture instructions in addition to the videos. It was just painful to watch the videos and then keep rewinding to see exactly which direction something faced. My chief complaint about the track is that it’s got these ceiling pieces and once you install them in the ceiling, the track just snaps in. The hard part is that there’s absolutely no leeway there- you need to install the ceiling pieces in the exact right spots or the track won’t snap in. That’s kind of hard to do if you’re using the drywall anchors, though, because those never go in quite exactly where you need them. They’re always off by a millimeter or two and you can’t just drill another hole right next to it as that would destroy the integrity of the drywall there. So, i do wish the ceiling attachment mechanism were a little bit different, but other than that I have no complaints. I got a quote from a specialty curtain shop to do these sorts of tracks and they quote me $2k for two rods. This was a bargain in comparison.

Now that they are up and working, I really like the product. The only downsides so far were the installation which took time and so far an unsuccessful attempt to use the app. They provide links to installation videos. The videos are 3D animated with music. They aren’t terrible but at times I was not as confident with my next steps. That said I took my time and watched the videos several times and I got it done and working. I have tried to download the app, but lost patience with the process when it did not easily do what I thought it should. I will try again. I am sure I will get it to work, it just wasn’t as seamless as some other apps. One of the best reviews of this curtain system is from a lady who has an included cell phone video. She makes the point that the curtain rod is a bit industrial looking. I agree. She was able to attach her curtains such that when they were closed you could not see the rod. I am using old curtains now that don’t have a firm upper pleat and therefore the rod system shows. I will buy a new curtain and it should take care of the issue, but if not I will make some kind of valance. If the installation was easier and the app was a bit more straight forward I would give the system a 5 star review as the product itself really does work exceptionally well.

Many reviewers commented about poor instructions. They may have improved this since because the instructions were pretty good and the videos were very helpful. I had a couple of questions I asked support and I received helpful replies within a few hours. In one case I asked about setting stop points for the curtain I was using for my masking on our home theater screen. I was pleasantly surprised that while undocumented, their app did in fact let me set stops for several different curtain open positions to frame my screen for various film formats and I created Siri calls to open to these positions using voice commands. The motor action is very quiet and is very smooth. If you take your time following the installation steps and don’t rush things, you will be pleased with the results.

Bought this for my elderly, disabled father who is bed bound. This is an extremely well engineered product. Assembly is quite straightforward if you watch the online videos a couple of times. Paired it to Alexa. Everything worked first time. Now father can open/close the curtains when he wants. I’ve set up an automation to close the curtains a little before sunset, and open them a little after sunrise.

Minor negative: I’ve fitted this using wall brackets, and the look is a little “industrial”. Could do with a pelmet box to hide the brackets. On the case!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe rail, the motor, the mounting system and the general build quality and ingenuity of installation is all top notch.

    In the box you get:

    1x Motor
1x Remote control & wall mount
    Various sticky pads for mount
5x Wall Brackets (combine with ceiling brackets to make an angled wall mount)
    5x Ceiling brackets
    2x Drive belts

The Rail is in segments of various lengths. To get the length required join the segments using the Allen screws (Allen key provided).

If you need a shorter length rail you will need to cut a segment shorter, which is easily done with a decent metal hack saw saw – I don’t recommend a junior hack saw or chop saw with metal capable blade and reasonably fine teeth.

    Bay window?

You can’t bend the rail – it’s a “rigid rail system”, and it’s wider than it is deep, so bending it really isn’t possible (you’d need to bend it on its width, which would be ridiculously difficult / impossible). I imagine someone reading this will say they could bend it, but it’s not how it’s “supposed to work” and you’d invalidate any warranty if you tried, so I wouldn’t bother and there are simpler way to achieve this anyway:

3 window bay: pre-defined angles are available, just buy two and you’re away.
5 window bay: you need to cut your own angles into the rail because they don’t sell per-made ones (I asked).

As long as you cut your angles accurately and cleanly, so your hooks glide easily round the angled corners, the rail will work just fine.

Tip for 5 bay windows: I got some 2×2 lengths of wood and cut them to match my 5 bay window ledge. So I literally copied the angles off the inside ledge onto the wood and them to make a replica I could use as template. I cut my rail to these same angles and mounted my rail onto the wooden template.

Doing it this way, while a bit time consuming, could test my rail angles worked. As it was a full sized replica I could cut the belt and test the motor pulling the hooks too, so it’s worth doing, especially if you’re not someone who does a lot of DIY and isn’t used to doing precise work like this.

So what’s GREAT about this system?

    1. Almost silent: my dogs, don’t even seem to hear this new rail in operation. When it activates they don’t even acknowledge it! By contrast, the 8+ years old, self-close system I had previously would drive my dogs insane, making them bark and run around like lunatics.

    2. Build quality: The motor is a beauty. It’s heavy with a fully metal casing and it’s exceptionally quiet in operation. The motor houses the wifi gear, the reset button, the wifi antenna and a captive mains lead of approx. 250cm long.

The rail: beautiful quality, very sturdy and if mounted correctly and not abused, it won’t ever come down.

Warranty covers the motor for THREE years – the rail and hooks shouldn’t break under normal use, so a one year warranty is ample.

Spare parts (including motors, rail segments, belts and hooks) are lol available.

Interesting note: I looked a many different rails before buying one and I noticed that they are STRIKINGLY similar; so much so, I suspect there may be one place manufacturing them and other companies just badge them up and flash their own firmware / make an app for smart control. I can’t prove this, but look for yourself: there’s a system for FOUR TIMES the price and it’s identical, apart from branding. If that’s true, this rail is even better value for money that I initially thought.

    Control for curtains:

You have four “usual” ways to operate your curtains, plus several other options of you’re into home automation.

    1. Remote Control
    2. Tuya Smart Life App
    3. Manual (like normal curtains)
    4. Voice / Smart Home / Other

    1. Remote Control (provided): a cream / beige coloured, slim line, smart looking, 3 button controller:

    The buttons are:
    1. open 2. close 3. pause.

The remote is supplied with a wall mounting bracket, so you don’t lose it; there are 2 supplied options for attaching the bracket to the wall:
    1. 3M sticky tape
    2. screws & plugs

Using the remote is easy. It works straight from the box (you supply the batteries – 2x AAAs). I found the remote operation a little odd at first because it didn’t do what I expected, but it does make sense when you get used to it.

To open or close the curtains you press the open or close button. This starts the curtains moving.

If you want them fully open / closed, just press the appropriate button and let them do their thing.

If you want to stop the curtains part way, you start them off opening / closing, then press PAUSE when they are in the position you want them.

    2. The Tuya Smart Life App:

    A. Download the app for Android or Apple and paid your curtain motor by following the (only decent set of) instructions provided.
    B. You can drag the little sliders to open or close the curtains wherever you want, which is very intuitive and useful.

In the app there are also some options for closing at dusk or at sunset (sunset tends to close while it’s still light, dusk is usually when it’s dark). You can set up various timers in the app, pair with Alexa or Google
Voice assistants and all kinds of other stuff. It’s impressive and easy to use and operating curtains while away from home is easy to do.

The app also performs a very useful function if you happen to have the buttons reverse, so open is close and close is open.

THE APP PAUSE BUTTON & Switching the OPENING / CLOSING buttons around.

Why would you want to switch the open and close buttons?
Some people build the rail and find that Close is Open and Open is Close.

While it may not bother you if you exclusively use the remote control unit, you will find that the app / timers / scenes / smart home operation it will all be reversed which
    will cause you problems.

To switch the open / close function buttons you need the Tuya Smart Life App installed (I believe you do anyway).

    In the App:

PRESS AND HOLD THE PAUSE ICON FOR A FEW SECONDS.

A message will flash up telling you the directions are reversed.

Simple as that – you don’t need to rebuild the rail or anything complex or cumbersome, just press and hold pause in the app. There may be a way to do this from the remote unit but I haven’t tried it so I don’t know.

    3. Manual operation
Say you don’t have your phone to hand and haven’t set up voice and your remote isn’t handy. Or maybe someone doesn’t realise you have smart curtains and just wants to open or close the curtains and doesn’t understand that you need a remote or an app

If you gently pull the curtains, just as you would if you wanted to open them by hand (not like a lunatic or someone with no fine motor control – like a normal human with a brain) the motor sense this and sets off the automation. Gently pulling the curtains will set them in motion opening or closing and stopping when fully open or closed.

I’ve tried this over 10 times personally and so have my kids. So far (this rail has been up just over a month at time of writing) it has worked 100% of the time. It only takes a gentle pull in the appropriate direction: You have to move the curtains about 3cm before they will set off.

If you yank at your curtains or try to drag them along faster than they are designed to move, you will break them.

    4. Voice / smart home / other
I never use voice operated anything because, personally, I find it cumbersome and pretty useless. Never tried it, can’t comment.

Smart home – with Home Assistant it’s great. I’ve set up a few “close curtains / the lights on” scenes and “if temp outdoor < 3c then close curtains ". They work great and Smart Life is a HACS integration in Hassio / Home Assistant so it's easy to set up. How fast do they open / close? My curtains take approx 11 seconds to fully open or close. That's when I use the remote or the app. The window in this case is 280cm wide and the curtains have to close over a 210cm gap. So works out as (roughly, rounding it) 20cm per second - which is pretty quick. I can't honestly imagine and real life situation where you'd need a faster closing time than 20cm/s maybe if you're a vampire and there's and unexpected sunrise? If you genuinely do need curtains that close faster, if recommend a pneumatic security screen, like they in banks: I believe they can close a 1m gap in under a second Mains leads: some reviews says it's a 90cm lead but mine is 250cm. The lead is captive in the motor so unless you dismantle it and swap it, you need an extension lead or a socket on the wall near the curtains. What's bad: The Instructions! What a crappy, poorly thought out set of instructions these are! Utterly garbage and worthless: frustrating, annoying and pointless. Annoyingly, once you inderstand how to set the rail up, you realise there's NO NEED at all for these instructions to be so bad! I suspect the designer, or someone who'd built a thousand of these things, created the instructions as an afterthought. The pairing instructions are great, but the build tutorial is utterly useless. To Quoya: please create a better instruction / guide. It's not difficult. 1. Write out the instructions step by step. 2. Try following them yourself, as written. Change anything that's wrong or not clear. 3. Give your instructions to someone who has NEVER seen or used the product and watch them as they follow your guide. 4. Change anything that is wrong or misleading and take feedback from the tester. 5. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until someone who's NEVER seen or used the product and assemble it FIRST TIME without help. Done right, decent instructions can change a mediocre product into a brilliant one. Done wrong, they can make a brilliant product into an utter failure no one wants to use. What's wrong with the instructions? For a start, there barely are any! The few that exist are badly executed drawings that don't show anything useful and just aren't clear. They try to rectify this with several videos with truly AWFUL, looping music, which is irritating as hell when you're trying to concentrate. Also the videos have NO COMMENTARY - just a video of someone building a rail and pointing at things like a Mime! It would be funny if it weren't their only method of instruction. I watched all their videos several times, but without a voice-over I found it impossible to understand what was happening on screen most of the time. The other tragic decision was to put these videos on YouTube! So you get adverts popping up constantly which, when you're trying to follow a guide, is REALLY IRRITATING. Why are there no voice instructions? You can't watch a screen and work with your hands and look at the rail at the same time! If having multiple languages was too expensive, so then in English - which is near Universal now anyway (I'm Italian and I read and write English fine, so do all my friends). The instructions let this product so massively I honestly believe they hinder it's adoption. It's so well made, beautifully packaged, very strong, resilient to damage; the motor and rail are gorgeous and the fully metal construction; the drive belt system - everything is just so very clever and well done that honestly, the instructions are bafflingly bad. This is another reason I think it's made by one company and branded by others who create their own guides and software Gliss would not (I hope) have such naff instruction as these. Instructions aside, it's great value for money. To build this thing, I'd advise looking for a YouTuber who's done their own video - watch that instead. That's what I did in the end. As I say, once you do it, you'll see that it's so easy, you don't really need the guide at all if you have a second one to build, it actually very simple, ironically. Tech Support: Their support email IS very good and they respond quickly. While advice is mostly accurate, I recommend that if you do ask for help, word your question as clearly and precisely as possible using the least number of words and leave out everything irrelevant to the question. Why? I will show you. I asked support, "how can I stop my curtain tops looking bumpy and raggedy? I only have 7 hooks per curtain as recommended in the guide, but they bunch up and look untidy. Would a wave system help? My curtains are pencil pleat and I don't know if wave is better". I asked this because I knew that if I used more hooks (they give you 10 per curtain) my curtains would not open fully: they take up space in the rail and obviously stop to curtain being able to open into that used space. Anyway, that was my question. Their answer: "more hooks are available from the site if you'd like to order more for the rail. You don't need wave if you have pencil pleat already". As you see, this isn't a very useful answer. I wanted to know tips on tidying the tops of my pencil pleat curtains and if I could use wave. All I found out was that I could buy hooks. I never did get a useful answer but I made the rail a little longer and added more hooks to give extra support and that worked ok. So be careful when you ask a question and don't give detail that isn't relevant or which can be misunderstood. If you do that their answers will be more useful.

Strongly made. Looks good. Take care cutting the belt to length! I had to buy a replacement. Easy to link to Google Home. Power cable is short unless you instal a socket at height. Could do with more gliders – supplier out of stock.
Overall excellent value compared to better known makes.

Very pleased with this set up. Does exactly what I wanted it for. Reasonably easy to assemble and install, as long as you don’t use the printed instructions. Unfortunately they are printed in not very good “Chinglish”. Why oh why do they not employ someone who speaks English as their 1st language to write the instructions. On the plus side there are multitudes of videos on YouTube to help you. I use mine in conjunction with the SmartLife App and Amazon Alexa. I can give voice commands to Alexa and I have open and close routines on SmartLife to automatically open and close the curtains at set times.

I bought this curtain track for an older gentlemen who is chair bound due to his health. He can’t reach the old mechanical track pulley so I suggested we tried this electric track with a remote. So the included manual wants you to scan the QR code to see the installation video. It doesn’t give any assembly instructions specific for the track and belt. I couldn’t get the scanned code to load anything. In the end I searched for the product name and my install method on Youtube and found a video. Just follow the video, the process is quite simple if you follow it slowly. It feels like a good quality track for the price. Other similar products are a lot more expensive. When fitting the wall brackets, it’s good to have one as near to the motor as possible because there is a lot of weight hanging off the plastic roller on the end. Having the bracket close stops it bouncing up and down. The remote was easy to pair and doesn’t lose the link if you switch the power off. The track looks like it’s designed to be hidden under a curtain pelmet.

    Great modular curtain track solution!

The product is excellent, nice quiet motor. You get several varying lengths of track so you can assemble the size you need to the nearest 10cm.

Take your time putting the track together; the instructions aren’t that easy to follow. The drawings are tiny and the names given to some parts are non-intuitive. There’s a series of videos that are useful, but more closeups would be better. You’ll find some other videos on youtube, that whilst they are not for the same brand, the product looks identical and I found that had more close up shots.

Measuring and cutting the belt is straightforward using the tools provided.

The only real negative is the assembly instructions, it lets down an otherwise good product.

Bought 2 sets (one 3m and one 4m). Assembling the first one took a lot of time, as we had to keep referring to the installation videos. Written instructions are terrible, so watch the videos. And the fact that all was using metric measurements required some conversion. But, done once the second rod was up in no time. Remote has amazing range and will open both sets at once. One remote was bad, but Quoya support quickly resolved this. In fact their support was terrific. Would recommend this product and this company anytime. Intend to buy a third one for 14 foot window in dayligh basement.

Excellent documentation, easy to understand instructions and great videos to guide you through one shot installation with few (none in my case) issues. We have a 17 foot window wall with a sliding glass door to the upper porch. I was able to assemble the over length track and properly tension on the travel belt in less than an hour, placing the ceiling mounts took another hour. I made a little spacer to align them to the ceiling and wall (just a small flat piece of wood to make them all even easily). My wife and I lifted the track to the clips installed and it just clicked in place. Took another 45 minutes to figure out the WiFi and Alexa connections and install the TUYA app. I was apprehensive at first with such a long single length of track it would be flimsy putting it up. NOPE! Track is very well constructed out of extruded aluminum and flexed very little while lifting it to the brackets. It handles the floor to ceiling heavy blackout curtains just fine.

Love it, it is quiet and very well made. The controller is compact and blends in with the curtains. This is a belt driven unit but it is extremely strong and quiet in operation. Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWhen assembled, they work great and reliably. They are quiet and smooth, and awesome. They can be opened by manually pulling the curtains a little until the motor kicks in, by the included remote control, by the app, or by Alexa.

Some of the reviews here mentioned that they cut the belt short due to confusing instructions. I think the instructions have been redone since earlier models because they are now quite different to what was described in reviews, and mostly just direct you to the Youtube videos. The Youtube videos are very easy to follow and are 100% correct for both single track and dual opening setups. Also, if in doubt, you can always leave the belt a little longer when you first cut and measure how much more you need to cut.

The only issue I had with installation was that the included drywall anchors were a little flimsy and one of them started to come out from the wall, so I ended up replacing them with some stronger anchors.

A note on Alexa commands. To open and close the curtains you need to say awkwardly “Alexa, turn on the curtains” or “Alexa, turn off the curtains.” However, this is easily remedied by creating a routine that opens/closes the curtains when you say “Alexa, open/close the curtains”

I was excited to get these rails so watched the YouTube videos a couple of times and then had it paused as I made the first rail up. (I bought three rails). One of them seemed to be tricky to pair to my wi-fi, but after a full reset paired ok. In hindsight though, I think it was the smarthome network being the problem, but once setup it’s no problem. I have tried the single one sided system and the centre pull-apart and both work very well. I wish I’d bought them sooner. Far cheaper than some of the traditional brands, but actually much easier and less complicated to connect into your home automation, including Alexa. Very happy.

Golden Review Award: 128 From Our UsersThis is my second motorized curtain rod. Quoya is a different brand from my first rod, but otherwise it is identical (even developed with the same software), so I ordered from Quoya simply because it was $40 less expensive than the other brand.

I made a video to show you the curtains, how they work, and what I like/dislike. I also summarized it here.

I love being able to set the curtains (in the app) to automatically open and close every day. And the cool factor. These motorized curtain rods are Just.Plain.Cool.

I had a huge advantage with assembly because I was already familiar with the installation. Quoya provides links In the instruction manual and on the Amazon product page, to VERY HELPFUL videos on assembly and installation. I never read any written instructions—based on other reviews, I knew the videos would be the most helpful. I am a “senior” female, but fairly handy—I assembled and hug the rod by myself.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to watch the assembly videos. I watched before I began, and watched again during assembly, pausing regularly to follow the instructions and then resumed the video. The downside of a video, is that it goes too fast to follow on a step by step basis; all that pausing and restarting was a bit of a pain, but still the video was hugely helpful.

With my first rod assembly, I made a minor mistake which was to insert both the two wheeled pulleys into the rod the wrong way. I had to partially disassemble the rod to correct that and put it back together again. But it was not difficult or time-consuming to do that. I knew to pay more attention to the video with the Quoya rod, and it was very smooth and quick to assemble.

I hung this rod on the wall and not the ceiling. The seller provides 5 wall brackets, 10 screws, and 10 plastic drywall anchors (each bracket takes 2 screws). The drywall anchors are a little flimsy, so be careful when you push them into the wall to not compress, squish, or bend them.

A complaint is that they do not give you any sort of cover to hide the screws which are exposed on each bracket. Those exposed screws make the bracket look a little unfinished. Also, I hung the curtains using pinch-pleat drapery clips high enough so that when the curtain is closed, the top edge of the curtain hides the motorized curtain rod. However, when the curtain is open, you can see the rod. The rod is not pretty like a lot of decorative rods are—so I might need to have another project to build (or buy) a cornice to hide this rod. I wish they would make the rods a little more decorative looking.

I had no trouble attaching the motor and using the remote control. Very smooth operation. Works very well.

To operate the motorized rod with your phone, you can use either the TuyaSmart app or the Smart Life app. They seem identical in all respects. I prefer the Smart Life app because I already had other smart devices on that app. Either one is easy to operate. The app includes a timer feature which is very handy. You can set seemingly unlimited times of day (for whatever days of the week) to adjust the curtains to close at any % you want. Oddly, to set the timer to automatically *open* the curtains, the setting in the app is that the curtains need to be set to 0%. The only way that makes sense to me is to think of the % as representing the amount that the curtains are *closed*. So 0% means they are closed 0% (which means they are open all the way). They can be set to open/close at any % from 0 to 100.

I can also use the app when I am away from home to adjust the curtain.

I followed the instructions to set up the integration with Alexa. It was not hard, but I am *disappointed* in everything to do with integration with Alexa—it all needs developmental improvement. First, Alexa operation is verbal only (cannot operate with the Alexa app). That means you can use Alexa only when you are home within voice range. In order for Alexa to understand the verbal instruction, I have to say something very awkward:
“Alexa, tell TuyaSmart to TURN ON the bedroom curtains”
It is just not natural or logical to “turn on” curtains.
And then to close the curtains, I have to say:
“Alexa, tell TuyaSmart to TURN OFF the bedroom curtains.”
You CANNOT ask Alexa to open the bedroom curtains 50% or half way or any other partial opening. The only way to do that is to use the TuyaSmart app (or the Smart Life app) or the remote control.

Overall, I love this motorized curtain rod. I love having the curtains open and close automatically at a designated time of day. If I want to see the stars at night, I can ask Alexa to ….tell TuyaSmart to turn on the curtains (which is just weirdly worded but still convenient to have her do it). It operates /well and is reliable so far. The instructions videos are a great help. Take your time. I liked these rods so much that I bought a second one.

I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you!

Wonderful product. Works great. Everything I had hoped for. However, if you are not a real mechanically minded individual, the assembly will eat you up. The installation/assembly manual(?) is very hard to comprehend. Very broken English and sentences that make no sense. I had to watch a YouTube video twice before I started assembly. A decent installation/assembly manual and this would be 5 STARS.

Mostly very happy with this device. we use a few AI devices as my wife is in a wheelchair.
runs smoothly, its a bit of a toy on first arrival. by making room for the curtains to sit beyond the width of our 2.4M glass doors, we actually have a better view than we had
However we use the remote control as I couldn’t it get it to connect to Alexa. Not a big deal.
Like it a lot, go and get yours.

The instructions aren’t great but if you watch the videos on the product page it isn’t too bad to put together. Also it was a little strange that you have to plug in a USB dongle that was included for it to work with WiFi and we couldn’t find that anywhere in the instructions but once we got it setup it has worked flawlessly. We also set it on a schedule to open at the same time our alarm goes off to let sunlight in and wake us up using the app.

    A fantastic piece of kit.
My son has mobility issues and I bought this curtain track so that he could link it to his ‘Alexa’ and have no need to get up and down to open/close the curtains. Brilliant, we had a small issue linking the software to his ‘Alexa’ but a phone call to technical support had it sorted straight away. Highly recommended if you have mobility problems and use ‘Alexa’ to make life easier.

I got a $4000 estimate for automated blinds to cover our huge southern facing windows. AC bill is sky high in the summer as it’s fighting the sunlight coming in. We covered a 18ft span with 9ft tall blackout curtains. Install took about 6hrs since I was working 20ft off the ground (needed 2 people/ladders to raise unit once brackets were installed). Hardest part is getting all the brackets level. Assembly of unit was pretty easy. It has worked flawlessly for about 6 months with daily use. Saved us a ton of money and I think it looks great!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFed up with having to ride a rocker/recliner sofa whenever we wanted to close or open the curtains (which was always perilous) I decided to bite the bullet and invest in this track system, since I have a lot of smart automated gadgets elsewhere and it gave me an excuse for some retail therapy.
I will add at this point that although I have a relatively small window it is also a bay window which meant me having to purchase the additional bend kit.
The system arrived quickly, no problems there.
I had, by my own fault mis-read the listing for the additional corner set and ordered two thinking they were singles… But they arrived as two pairs so I had a set too many. This came in handy though as I will explain in a bit.
I laid all the bits out on the lounge floor. Instructions were in a booklet and well explained. I also found various videos online which helped immensely. You need to take your time or it gets frustrating.
The one thing I think could be improved in the instructions is an additional section covering curved tracks such as mine as not even the videos fully covered the differences. The main difference I found was with a piece I refer to as the ‘race’. This is the wheeled bit that does all the pushing/pulling of each curtain and is directly attached to a toothed belt which in turn is fed around the motor.
You see… there are two versions of this race. One for a straight run and another which is hinged in the middle so it can navigate the bends on a shaped run. You use whichever one for your track shape. Mine being a bay window needed the hinged race type. This is where a problem arose as my bend set only came supplied with one race as opposed to the two I needed, one for each curtain.
As luck would have it I had ordered one too many bend kits so I broke open the spare kit and took the piece I needed from there.
Getting back to construction I found another thing that was not covered on paper or video was the installation of these hinged race runners as they install slightly differently to the regular “straight” set. I had to remove the hinge pin in the middle of the race in order to connect the whole shebang together at the end, something which is not explained anywhere. Once in place you just push the hinge pin back through and you’re good to go.
I fit the track to the ceiling and tested. All good. Connection to Alexa via the Smart Life app was a bit time consuming but worked eventually.
    “Alexa, open the curtains”
I was impressed. The wife was impressed. All my FB friends were impressed when I uploaded a smug video. The dog was bewildered.
I since upgraded to curtains to some heavy chenille from Dunelm, floor to ceiling and even added lead weights to get them hanging nice. The track has taken this in its stride.
I have to say that the couple of occasions that I have found the need to contact Quoya for support have been no less than excellent. I wish all tech support was as quick. As well as fully refunding me for the corner kit I ordered in error, they have replied to my FB Messenger queries within a few hours, even on a Sunday. You can’t ask for better.
I have had to adjust the belt once since fitting 4 months ago, this is I suppose acceptable since the belt will stretch very slightly over time, this could also be due to my heavyweight curtains. Message support helped me through this also… on a Sunday.
    Fab.
Would not hesitate to use this company’s products again. Top marks.
If you think your life is missing something it’s probably an automated curtain.

I have been really impressed with this. I bought it to replace a broken “autoglide’ curtain track and the Quoya seems better made and of more robust materials. It was easy to assemble with the aid of the online video, which makes the job very straightforward. I will certainly buy another.

Very pleased with how the curtain rail turned out. Installation took about 3 hours for a 17 foot opening but was relatively straightforward. I followed the videos sent through Facebook Messenger. The manufacturer must be constantly keeping up with changes in the manufacturing and app, as I see there are several previous versions of the videos available, but the versions sent did lead to a successful install (although the app instructions are outdated, it only took a few minutes of stumbling around to figure out). I was very concerned about cutting the rubber tracks correctly, however the videos sent were correct – 2 separate tracks are needed.

I mounted this on the wall instead of ceiling and was concerned how the railing would look versus a normal curtain rod. I do have grey painted walls which certainly help, but I am satisfied with the look without purchasing a valance of other covering.

Not the simplest of kit to put together and there are some interesting what i assume are translations there, but if they are followed to the letter every thing goes together smoothly. During assembly it was so pleasing that things did fit together so easily, it shows someone has really developed the product for the home diy market.
The only fiddly bit was getting the device on the network, the Smartlife / Tuya pairing process seems to be so hit and miss no matter what the third party product. It always works eventually, but what a faff!

Having watched the video it was easy to install. Best to test it while it’s laid out just after having built it, there’s a risk of installing the motor in reverse.
Not the most attractive thing, but I managed to hang the curtains so they cover the pole and the motor and cable is hidden too. We bought another 2 of these Curtain track systems after this one, as it was so good. It went together pretty easily especially if you watch one or more of the videos on YouTube. The remotes work well and it integrated into Google home easily. We can now close the difficult-to-get-to curtains with a quick command to HEY GOOGLE. The after-sales service is second to none too. I am very pleased with this curtain system, of all my home automation devices that I have I always wanted one of these. The instructions on how to assemble it, are not the easiest to follow but there are videos on YouTube that give step by step instructions.
Setting the Quoya Curtain up with the app was straight forward, and the system once powered up calibrated itself to find the open and close position of the curtains, it also linked with the Alexa app itself and all I had to do was enable the Tuya skill. It came with a remote that I don’t use because I have made a routine for it to open and close at sunrise and sunset, I can also ask Alexa for it to work partially (ie. open/close say percentage).
All in all I am very pleased, it is well made and seems that will last a long time. The only thing I had to do was order different curtain hooks, I would be happy to recommend this to my friends and family

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOne of my main concerns with a ceiling track system was how it would look once installed. I’m installing on the ceiling, and don’t have a sconce for the track to hide behind. I just finished the install, which went smoothly, and was supported by the excellent support through WhatsApp and Video’s they shared, and I’m delighted with how it looks. The installed track is clean, and the motor on the end can be hidden behind the curtain thanks to the extension clips which are included. Another big plus is how quiet it is. I have much more expensive motorized shades in another room, and the Quoya system is significantly more quiet when operating. I’m so impressed with this system and would highly recommend to anyone.

I thought it was too cheap to be true but it wasn’t, the Quoya curtain track is very high quality and does everything claimed. I have linked the app with Google and just have to say OK Google close curtains and they close smoothly and in the morning open curtains and it’s like being at the theatre. So now there won’t be any marks on the curtains where you pull them, wish I had this rail a long time ago. This would be very good for disabled or the elderly who can use the supplied remote control.

Jeremy support is excellent . Responds quickly and takes all time you need. Very knowlegable. Our only issue is we are trying to use the product for a retrofit existing drape system, wall mount, but has a decorative 2 inch wood facia that needs mounting. The system does not have a way to mount this to it , thus would require custom brackettting. For new install or ceiling mount this looks like it will work very well. probably normal facia mount would be fine. Also note the track is white so if you have brown may have to powder coat or paint. Videos are hard to follow as they are too quick. We will suggest to Vendor to do one video with actual person doing the work would be great.

Really pleased with it, it’s a little fiddly putting it together but not difficult, watch the video’s on you tube and it will make sense. It was easy to add to the smart life app once it was up, again I think there are videos to help if you need but it’s not really any different to adding lights and switches to the app. Alexa found it as soon as it was set in the app and now ” Alexa close/open the curtains” 🙂 There’s only a little noise as the curtains are moving but that’s to be expected, it’s from the track more than from the motor. Overall 5 Stars!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe setup was easy and the instructions were fine. I didn’t find the instructions vague or confusing, but the videos online show the steps in crystal clarity if you are ever unsure. The scariest part of the setup process was cutting the belt to fit your preferred setup, but they provide the measuring tools and a guarantee of sending you a new one if you do make a mistake. I used the full length of mine, but I think you can omit one of the rods to make it shorter if necessary (although I don’t know the exact dimensions). It works wonderfully and isn’t loud at all, just a quiet whispering noise.

It’s not unexpected, but I did have to buy hooks for my curtains, as they do not come with this kit. The belt just has rings on it to hook into, not actual hooks. I’ve seen other reviews say these do not work with grommets but I was able to hang grommets on it using larger S hooks. It’s probably not ‘proper’ but as long as they hang it works just fine!

As others have mentioned, the buttons work in reverse by default. It’s possible I put something together backwards, but I think that’s just the way it is to start. There are instructions for how to reverse this, but I fiddled with it a bit and only ended up un-pairing the remote (it was easy to pair again), so we just push close to open the curtains now. If I were more determined I think I could get them to reverse properly.

One caveat with the motorized curtains is that you lose the ability to open only one side of them. You can use the remote to stop them for a partial open, though, and you can set them to manual, but because they’re attached to a belt both sides will move together now.

Altogether, I am happy I don’t have to climb over the couch to open or close the curtain anymore!

Do follow them exactly and all will work smoothly. Once physically installed, setting up the supplied remote control, the TuyaSmart app and Alexa were straightforward. In operation the curtains open/close almost silently (just the swish of the tracks, very little motor noise). Various smart options are possible – ours are set to open at local sunrise & close at sunset (auto-adjusted for the clock change). Very pleased with this product.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersAfter a lot of apprehension and research, I ordered this smart curtain system. My husband put it together in about an hour with a few missteps. He cut the track too short, so project delayed a week to contact support and request a replacement (exceptional customer service). We had a contractor installing our projector and screen, so he mounted this with no issues. It works perfectly, and our very heavy custom made blackout curtains (Amazon) glide very smoothly as you see. I’m still in awe that that this cost less than $300 compared to estimates of $2000 or more for the functionality alone. It’s a little work putting it together but just follow the instructions and it goes together exactly as it should. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have had a bay window pole for over 10 years, opening and closing the curtains was a chore, the rings constantly sticking on the pole. This is a game changer, super easy to open and close the curtains and added bonus of being able to close and open while away, no more half pulled across while away, signalling your house is empty!
Please watch the videos, sent on purchase, and make use of the WhatsApp number given.
If your wall is straight this should be easy to put up, we purchased 2x 135 angle corners, to fit the bay window. I recommend you purchase extra belt at the same time if you are using the full length (3.2m) of rail, we were a little short as the belt in the pack was 3.2m and the corners add a little extra. Also make sure one of the belt lengths is measured in the outer track, once put together, or it may be a little tight.
If the track isn’t running smooth, check that the buckles are all attached correctly and flush.
If you have any problems the customer service is great, leave a message on the WhatsApp and they will get back to you with a resolve.
Struggled a bit with the WiFi connection to app and Alexa but now all up and running.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI was a little hesitant about buying this product, not knowing what to expect. I was able to put it together by myself (watch the youtube videos on it for easy installation!) If you need to shorten the track, it’s best to watch the video of how to shorten the track first. The video will easily guide you on shortening the track. Then, switch to the other video for putting the track system together. I didn’t do this and ended up taking apart the entire track to shorten it. I also added three inches of material ( I made my own drapes) to ‘wrap’ around the motor in order to hide the motor better. I used two sided tape to attach the curtain material to the motor. I am quite happy with how quiet and strong the system is. I recommend it.

The unit is quiet and functions perfectly. If you are using pinch pleat drapes, it is to your benefit to use extra long drapery pins to help the pleats stand up straight.
The couplers that connect the tubes have a sharp edge on them and can cause the drapes to “jump” when it crosses them. This can easily be filed off but is much easier before assembly. It will take you 5 minutes. It will add to a perfect installation.
I am very pleased with the product.

This is a quality product using quality materials with everything fitting together perfectly. You get a card which details an email to get the installation videos which I received back almost immediately. Important you follow the instructions exactly with the help of translated instructions and the videos. Took me about an hour to assemble the track. Linked the curtain TuyaSmart to Alexa which seems to work intermittently so trying to sort out.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAmazing product! I have been looking for electric curtain tracks for a while now. The price has now gone down and am really pleased with the tracks. Have bought three altogether and they are easy to put together and install. I can now open and close the blinds at dawn and dusk (through Alexa , but can also be done through the Tuya app) which ties in great with my lights that also come on automatically at these times. Great customer support from Quoya – I asked a question which was very quickly answered – Thanks Emma! Also a longer power cable (3 meters) is supplied which other companies I have investigated do not. To sum up …… buy from Quoya. You won’t be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHaving finally getting around to installing this item, it was easy to install and setup, very straight forward. All my smart devices of which I have nearly 70 all work via SmartLife, one of the reasons I picked this, is it too works with smartlife.

The operation of the item is excellent, was dubious when it stated ‘quiet operation’, but actually it is very quiet just a slight hum. I have it installed in my office to open on a timer and close on a timer. Works perfectly.

I purchased this item instead of buying a cheaper version as cheap is not always better, I’m delighted I did. Excellent product and would highly recommend.

I had an issue with the motor being reversed, ie click open and it would close. Having contacting the seller, they responded very quickly with a simple ‘reverse motor’ procedure which worked perfectly. Would highly recommend the seller as well as the product.

The one and only criticism I have about the operation of the product is that you can’t schedule it to sunset/sunrise operation like I can my lights. But this is not a major issue.

UPDATE: The seller notified me the sunset/Sunrise function can be achieve by setting in smartlife when the weather changes there is the sunset/sunrise function. Who thought it would be under weather. But it works so all good.

I am pleased with this system as it is well made and does everything I wanted. The instructions and video were essential to avoid mistakes. The Tuya app works well as I wanted a simple “Timer” function. I have now ordered the same again for the bedroom which is already on its way.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe system is DESIGNED WELL and thought through. TRACKS ARE STURDY and can used without cutting (although it is possible to cut and use fewer tracks). I ordered a size larger than my need (just in-case) and so had some left over track. Comes with a belt that drives the rings and I was not confident if I’ll cut the belt correctly and that if I made a mistake I would fall short. But it was simple when I followed instructions (i.e. they have a piece to measure how much longer the belt needs to be). It can be installed to open from side or in the middle.

Also there are certain things you need to know e.g.
    a) How to place the track joiners so they don’t interfere with even placement of brackets that hold the track.
    b) How to allow the folds to be even across the curtain when its closed. etc.

The instructional video that they send you via WhatsApp are good but splintered so you can see only relevant sections. But in the process you may loose continuity and the background template & music in some videos are amateurish. But the PROMPT SUPPORT via WhatsApp certainly makes up for it.

I would certainly recommend the product.

Really easy to install, only drawback as after integrating with app remote has stopped working. Overall I am very happy with the track

My mother in law was struggling with the weight of a pair of full length curtains over a 3.2 m wide window.
    Not any more!
The instruction videos are simple and straightforward, and it’s impossible to go wrong.
Great quality, silent operation. Love it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery happy with product! Everything just fits so well. I got the 3.2m track for my 2.9m window. It’s fully customisable and the track is cleverly designed for you to adjust to your required length, no sawing or cutting involved. Super simple super easy to install! Everything from the motor to the mounts feels high quality. The motor is relatively silent and very smooth. I especially love the Wi-fi function and can schedule the time you want the curtains to automatically open and close! Couldn’t be happier with the product! The brand is a top brand and the seller is trustworthy

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have installed this product in the front lounge window as automation and security.
I read the included instructions, which are comprehensive but definitely not as good as the videos, which were linked on YouTube via WhatsApp, and make each step a breeze.
Everything you need is included in the kit, including wall brackets.
The “Tuya Smart” app was easy to install and easy to link to my “Amazon Alexa” that also controlled the rail as well as being scheduled daily.
I did need to contact Customer Service via WhatsApp on the number provided, and the service was excellent and query sorted quickly and satisfactorily which was a very big plus with me.
Only installed for 2 days but I am really pleased with the result all round and would recommend this brilliant product. I am considering getting another one later for the front bedroom from Quoya due to the product and excellent customer service.

    Brilliant Product and Customer Service

A really great product, well made and truly versatile. Quoya’s customer service and support is second to none, I wish more companies were like this. The curtains can all be programmed to a single remote, and the app allows the curtains to open and close at your choice of time even when you are out of the house. Highly recommended, great quality, if you are looking for smart curtains then buy it once from this company

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHighly recommended product and seller! A great purchase and a very happy customer!
We have been looking for a smart electric curtain for a while and this one is by far the cheapest we have found for the great quality and price!

The customer service by Quoya was excellent. The delivery was fast and it came within 2 days. It also comes with a contact card where you can Whatsapp them and they instantly send you all the installation videos, very clever!

The installation of the curtain was super easy after watching the videos. No issues connecting the product to the app and my Alexa, it was extremely simple! To be fair the instruction manuals are a bit confusing and dated – my only criticism to this product.

    Excellent product!
