Worth the money
I’ve had many straighteners and I still come back to the originals! Smooth driving through hair, easy to curl, lightweight, great cord length and heat up incredibly quick. The heat output is great, i do use a GHD heat spray to protect the hair.They are expensive but for me I wouldn’t buy anything else.
The best hair straighteners!
Really pleased with my GHD hair straighteners, heat up very quickly and at most I only have to go over a section of hair twice, I use a heat protection serum before using these and have been really pleased with this product. A big fan of GHD, not the cheapest but it’s a quality product.

Only worked for 18 months
These hair straighteners were not quite as good as my original GHDs did get quite as hot it seemed . After 18 months they’ve just stopped working so I’ve now ordered a different brand

Bought to replace my broken GHD straighteners but these aren’t anywhere near as good.

A lovely straightener which glides through your hair leaving it silky smooth. I was quite concerned on wether to buy this because of the mixed reviews but mine came undamaged and packaged wonderfully.

I saw the other reviews that stated that the plates don’t align causing a gap and decided to take a chance, had my other GHD’s for approx 14yrs and decided to retire them.
Can confirm that the plates do not align properly and at first considered sending them back but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle so I used them and can say that it didn’t actually make any difference.
The gap is so small that it doesn’t really matter, however if the gap bothers you then I wouldn’t get these.
Best straighteners eve
Super easy to use and for the first time ever I can actually make my hair straight. Normally when I home straighten k see barely any difference. With these straighteners my hair is straight and none frizzy. So worth the money.
A must have
Having used ghds since they first became available, there is no other brand I would ever consider using. Over the past 20 years I have had 4 pairs, last on average 5 years with every day use. Love them.
EXTREMELY RELIABLE- & LONG LASTING
I bought this for my wife to replace her existing one which she had for 4/5 years however, the wire/connection frayed and as with ghd hair straighteners could not be repaired ( or the cost was just as much as purchasing a new on). My wife swears by them although as stated ghd have you over a barrel when they need replacing!!

Bought to replace my previous GHD’s which had lasted 12 years and only stopped working after I’d dropped them.
Considered a cheaper make but as these were such a great price decided to go for the same ones.

Always wanted some GHDs but never felt I could justify spending that much on a hair styling tool. However treated myself to them at a bargain black Friday price and am so pleased I did. They do an excellent job and leave hair looking nicely styled.

I don’t understand why people say these are fake, they came perfectly boxed, the straighteners heat up fast and straighten hair very well or can be used to curl if needed, the hair dryer is powerful and comes with different settings, only thing that would have been nice is a diffuser, I would definitely recommend.
It’s alright I guess
Have been using a 30 baby kiss for years and finally decided to spend some money on a professional straightener.
I’m not that impressed , it does curl differently but not worth the money.

I was reading the comments before I opened these, I was shocked what I read under investigation getting these out the box, 1 the power cord is flat, removed the caps GHD screws either side. The GHD plates do not meet an if you have ones that do they are fake, GHD do not have flat plates for one reason they expand in heat and do not tug the hair or heat damage it. 100% Genuine item. Amazon do not sell fake products also so I believe they wouldn’t ruin there reputation selling counterfeits.

Professional grade product. Satisfied with the result so far. A bit costly though. You get what you pay for – so good in the long run rather than buying cheap products multiple times.
So smooth
My old faithful Babyliss straightners had died. Always wanted GHD straightners. First thought, the plates are a lot smaller than my prev straightners and took a bit longer to straighten my hair so was going to return but after using a few times I was really impressed how sleek the finish was and there was no burning of the hair strands like my prev straightners did. My hair stayed straight for a lot longer. Definitely recommend.
Second time lucky !!
This is the first pair of straighteners that l have owned l have had curling tongs which used to be a nuisance as they took si long to heat up . These straighteners are fabulous they heat up almost instantly and easy to use . The first ones were faulty but were quickly exchanged for new ones , these are great , would definitely recommend .

Genuine GHD’s at a bargain price
Perfect for my thick hair I didn’t think they would as they are a lower temperature than my other ones but do a better job. Managed to register the warranty online and I have no complaints.
NOT FAKES!
They arrived the next day in an official GHD pristine box. Immediately checked the cable and everything else for any faults. There were none. Switched them on and they work perfectly. I then went into the official GHD website to register them for the warranty no issues at all. If they were fake they wouldn’t allow the registration! I’m not sure why there is all the hate for these (bad reviews) but I honestly cannot find any faults.

I got the original GHD styler as an Amazon Warehouse deal, expecting a damaged box and some scratches and imperfections on the styler – but everything was in perfect condition, and looks brand new. A previous review complained about plates not fully meeting (these are a couple of millimetres away at the lower end), so decided to plug them in to test on my hair. Straightened my hair brilliantly and I was also able to some amazing curls (I have normal to thick hair). Something my previous BaByliss straighteners proved difficult to do due them being all metal burning me on every attempt. I am so happy with my purchase.

Only downside to this was there was no heat mat with it which was a tad disappointing.

Great hair straighteners
Very happy with my GHD’s. Works really well on my hair but I need to get more practice in to achieve the ‘hairdressers’ results. Easy to use and heats up quickly.
Good size too, not too big to handle . Not cheap but hopefully they’ll be better than my ordinary ones and give me the results I want.

Excellent product- been tempted to buy for years and finally bit the bullet. Super quick heat up. My only issue was that he seller had used thick sellotape all around the packing several times- this was a gift for my daughter and the box is now all torn and tatty looking. Wish it came with a cover for the straighteners. Apart from this, anyone wondering whether they are worth the money- they are.

My ghd’s broke after 10 years and I replaced with these. Excellent product and you really do get what you pay for with hair straighteners. I have thick frizzy hair and these straighten my hair with easy without it going frizzy in damp weather.

It's really good - expensive - but really good
For the price, I might have expected it to come with a heat pad to rest it on? It doesn’t. So you have to rest it on the floor or something as you move onto next part of hair. It’s brilliant at what it does. Just that if it had a heat pad it would be good. Not sure whether it shuts off automatically either? Or beep? I don’t think that it does. Maybe not ideal if you’re a bit forgetful (like moi!)

Bargain GHD Straighteners
Well what can I say. My first pair of GHD straighteners. I’ve waited so long and couldn’t afford full price. I went for the 70 pair sold by Amazon warehouse. It stated new in packaging but box damaged. Well…. the box was just scraped and the are amazing. Glass like hair in seconds. Heat up in seconds. Fab so far 1 week in. If they change I will edit review.

Perfect gift for a perfect mother.
I purchased this gift for my mother for christmas as her straighteners at the time were quite old. Although I haven’t used the product myself, she has waxed lyrical her brand new straighteners and never goes a morning white using the product. My mother has insisted to give this review a full 5* and I insist in giving it just that as I trust her judgement. Great product!

Happy Wife Happy Life
Wife has had GHD straighteners for years and needed a new pair… Still excellent value and very good so I’m told… She would not consider any other brand, other than maybe Dyson but they are 4x the price.
Hinge Design Problem
I have used GHD straighteners for many years and would never use another brand. I have thick wavy hair and they straighten it perfectly.
Having treated myself to new pair I found a problem with the changed hinge design. As it is now open at the bottom I have caught the skin of both my hand and my arm in it several times and it gives quite a pinch.
Such a pity as it seems to be an alteration that serves no purpose.

I was really nervous about these after reading so many terrible reviews, but it was too good a price to not take the chance.
I am glad I did!! I have had my last set for years and they don’t glide anymore, and actually tug on my hair. These glided over my hair and straightened my hair effortlessly.. Bliss
I know some have mentioned the blades not meeting, but they are not meant to and it’s the same with my old ones. The heat is enough to straighten your hair, you don’t need to push the blades together to do that.

Saw these on offer on deals or the day and decided to give myself a lockdown treat and upgrade from my cheapo high street brand straighteners.
I was slightly concerned about all the ‘these are fake’ reviews. But figured if they aren’t genuine I can return them. So I decided to go for it!
And I can say they are genuine-I’ve registered them with GHD with no problems. The serial number matches the description it gives on there and matches the number on the holographic sticker. So I think the fake ones may have been by other sellers and the reviews have all combined?
Anyway as far as hair straighteners go they heat up in seconds and so so hot compared to my old ones! Easy to use and they make such a difference to my hair-my hair now looks exactly like how the hairdresser does it so I am really happy and really impressed. Definitely ditching the old straighteners for these!! Brilliant!!

Good product but disappointed with pricing…on the day of receiving these the price had come down by 30. Couldn’t be hassled to send it back after I had unboxed it , used it twice and then realised the price difference.

After much research on the Dyson range of hair products, at the most rediculous prices I believe, I was recommended the GHD Straightners at a fraction of the cost. All I can say is they have literally changed my life! Bye bye to the frizzy hair that my long mop is prone to in rain/damp conditions and hello to lovely soft straight style that lasts a whole week with one use. As for curling – I curled my hair in five minutes and hey presto, another new look! Highly recommended!
Good straighteners.
Did an excellent job for my wife who was delighted with them. After about 3 years the switch became a bit faulty, but opening the case and re-adjusting the switch kept them going for another year. Just replaced them with another set of GHDs. My wife doesn’t want anything else now….

I’ve used GHDs for over 10 years now, when my last ones broke (my fault) I immediately replaced with these. I’ve never found anything else that straightens my hair as well as these do. They bleep to tell you the temperature is ready, but don’t have a temperature control, which could be handy for the times I am just trying to smooth out small kinks. They also have auto shut off if you accidentally leave them switched on.

The product arrived as expected. In the past I had bought another Ghd straightener and it was perfect. After 10 years of everyday use I have to replace it. The two parts of the new straightener remain open in contrast with my old one, which makes it not so easy to put back in the box. The result though is gorgeous, straight hair and I hope that my hair will not get damaged with excessive use likewise with the old one!

As expected genuine hair straighteners from GHD they heat up in seconds and have been great since purchasing for my partner. They are definitely worth the money compared to other brands which don’t offer the same quality definitely recommended.
Outdated but still a good tool
I’ve been using this straighteners for many years now and despite the new models more flashy and modern I wanted to keep the original ones. It’s not as bigger, no temperature control but still does a perry good job. And they’re much cheaper.
Value & Quality
Very good product, higher price than many other options, but on electrical goods you tend to get what you pay for. So GHD offer good value for money, as the quality is excellent.

Seem fine
I was going to return these (bought to replace my older pair which broke) but have looked on GHD site and it looks like all plates now have a gap. Tried them a second time and they seemed much hotter and worked fine so have decided to keep them.
