Gleich vorweg – man muss die Beschreibung gut lesen und dann ausmessen!
Der Aufbau ist ok, man muss recht viele Lcher bohren (weniger hlt sicher auch gut), aber wenn das geschafft ist geht es recht schnell und einfach.
Die Tr ist nicht wirklich “extra breit”, das ist etwas schade.
Das Gitter ist sehr stabil und robust, es gibt keine Schrauben/Kleinteile die herausfallen knnten (im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Gittern).
Die Tr ist in beide Richtungen nutzbar und bleibt offen stehen, sobald sie ganz geffnet wurde. Das ist sehr praktisch wenn man als Erwachsener mehrfach hindurch muss wenn das Baby nicht dort herumkrabbelt.
Der Verschluss ist etwas schwierig zu ffnen und schlieen, aber das soll ja auch so sein damit die Kleinen es nicht selbst ffnen knnen.
Wir sind sehr zufrieden!
Barrière de protection pratique
J’ai achet cette barrire pour mettre devant la chemine. Elle tait en promotion sur le format 3 pans et je ne regrette pas mon achat car elle est bien solide. Bb de 14mois se hisse dessus et essaie de la faire bouger mais rien n’y fait.
Mais j’aurais d la prendre plus grande encore pour qu’elle puisse tre plus loigne de la chemine une fois installe car sur la notice ils recommandent de laisser 1m50. Peut-tre pour pas que le plastique au niveau de la porte etc ne fonde.

Nous avons achet cette barrire il y a 2 ans maintenant et pas le moindre soucis ferme toujours aussi bien, toujours aussi robuste!!!
Au moment de l’achat elle tait prvu pour ne pas laisser le lapin courir partout ( surtout pour viter qu’il grignote tout les angles de murs) mais aujourd’hui elle nous permet de scinder la maison en deux pour notre magnifique bully.

Wir haben dieses Laufgitter gekauft um unsere Wendeltreppe abzusichern und es funktioniert tadellos. Es ist robust und der Verschluss ist auch wirklich gut. Wir knnen unsere Wendeltreppe so schtzen das unser Kind auch nicht von hinten unter die Treppe kommt. Absolut emofehlenswert fr jeden der eine Wendeltreppe absichern muss.
Perfect for the patio doors.
This solved the problem of having a one year old crawling about and the patio doors open! We obviously realised that the little thing could go headfirst onto the patio. Now the problem is solved, patio doors open when the weather permits and grandchild nice and safe away from the door and glass!
Did the job
Used for protecting a staircase with no bannister to secure a normal stair gate , did the job perfectly secured with the brackets , not always the easiest to remove from the brackets for cleaning etc but once you have the knack it got easie
Sturdy produc
Had to get one of these to keep our grandchildren away from our gas fire. Not used the fire since we fitted it but there is plenty of room to do so. Not sure if the bars will heat up when the fire is in operation but we will see.
Fab product!
As you can see from the first picture, I couldn’t have a standard stair gate so I ordered this one. The instructions were so easy to follow and the gate is sturdy. Naturally I would have preferred not to have to bore holes into my walls but there was no way round that for this type of gate. Very happy with my purchase

Not designed for protruding fireplaces
It’s a pity it can only be mounted to a solid wall, and not floor aswell .good and solid design.more suited to flat wall and not protruding fireplace.and no way it’s big enough for a playpen. Would need 2 for this

Achet pour crer un coin bb. Elle sont trs jolies. Jen ai pris 2 mais 3 aurait t plus confortable car 1 seule barriere ca fait trs petit pour cette utilisation!
Par contre, malgr qu’elles soient fixes aux murs et entre elles, je trouve qu’elles bougent pas mal quand un enfant les secoue. J’aurais aim plus de solidit. J’espre que les fixations murales vont tenir le coup dans le temps!
Autre chose, les verrouillages de porte sont impossibles utiliser avec une seule mains. Le systme est trop dure. Du coup c’est parfois plus facile d’enjamber.

Wir haben zwei Treppen in der Wohnung und zwei Kamine. Mit diesem Gitter haben wir zwei Gefahrenstellen frs Baby gebannt: wir brauchten u.a. ein Gitter fr den Treppenaufgang und ein paar Meter daneben fr den kleinen Ofen. Nun haben wir einfach das Gitter von Kchen-Tr zu Badezimmer-Tr quer durch den Raum und so lange die Tr vom Gitter zu ist, kann das Baby weder zur Treppe noch zum Ofen. Perfekt!
Lnge von 2,70 m mussten wir nicht ausreizen, wir bentigten etwas ber zwei Meter. Durch die flexiblen Gelenke habe wir eine Gute Lsung fr uns gefunden. Ein Teil vom Gittter brauchten wir nicht.
Lsst sich auerdem leicht an der Wand befestigen, das Gitter bleibt jetzt mindestens noch zwei Jahre dran und ist damit sein Geld wert! Das Gitter gibts nirgends so gnstig wie hier bei Amazon!

PURCHASED THIS GATE TO REPLACE A BABYDAN GATE WE HAVE HAD FOR 10 YEARS. NOT AS GOOD WE ARE FINDING IT HARD TO OPEN AND IT IS NOT VERY STURDY. ITS ATTACHED TO OUR DOORWAY AND MOVES QUITE A BIT WHEN TRYING TO OPEN. ITS EXPENSIVE AS WELL.
Stops our dog getting out the french doors
Our house gets very hot in summer and we have french doors from our living room but no window. Our dog kept going out and scrapping with the neighnours dog through the fence so we could never have the doors open and it was unbearable. This was the only baby gate we could find that was big enough to cover across our french doors and it has been perfect. Sturdy and dog safe, easy to open and close one handed and the dog enjoys looking out at the garden still!
Fantastic quality and sturdy
Fantastic! I’ve brought babydan before which was our foldable stair gate, we were pleased with that. But brought this as with the hot weather we couldn’t use our french doors as the little could fall out. So needed something bigger to go across being able to have the doors open and not worry… This was perfect! Easy to install, I downloaded the app and used the instructions on there as video instructions is easy than paper, but had the whole thing put together and secured to the walls in about 20mins
And so pleased with it, we got it in black and it’s so modern and great looking.
Great fire guard
This fire guard saved my Christmas! My 18 month old (at the time) was hell bent on destroying our Christmas tree and everything underneath it. This was the best purchase of all time and I cannot recommend it enough. We actually drilled it into the wall around the bay window and it worked brilliantly. It was good value for money and it’s not a cheap and cheerful breaks after once use item so now that we have another little one we will be using this for a good few years yet.

Easy to assemble, sturdy and perfect for the corner we needed it for. I actually purchased this as its the one they use at my daughter’s nursery, and if it can withstand years of constant daily use, then it’s good enough for me!
2nd Purchase as Ist one used across wide doorway opening
We bought this originally for the purpose of ensuring our puppy didn’t escape from the motorhome and also didn’t fall down the stair during the night. When not using the motorhome,we found it was an ideal fit for our french doors, so a second purchase was necessary to save keep moving it. It is ideal, easy to open with a discrete catch, we have had other stairgates for the dog, with a large squeeze handle and the pup (labrador) has managed to figure out how to open them. It fits perfectly in both the motorhome and in the house. Its well made and will last well.

Exceptionally sturdy gate barrier / system.
I brought this for our dog who is recovering from surgery and needs a safe, small area. I haven’t fixed this to the wall, as I make it smaller or larger as needed, and will continue to do so, over the days / weeks ahead. It looks much tidier than the dog pens, so this is ideal for indoor use.
It is simple to put together, and once up, it can’t be pushed out of shape, so it is sturdy and secure.
Very happy with my purchase and I really like how I can buy another and connect them up if I need a larger area in the future.
Gutes Konfigurationsgitte
Da unsere Treppe im Erdgeschoss leider etwas komisch konstruiert wurde, mussten wir kreativ werden und uns eine Mglichkeit berlegen, wie wir den Aufgang kindersicher machen. Nach kurzer Recherche sind wir dann auf das Konfigurationsgitter von Baby Dan gestoen. Hiermit konnten wir im Prinzip wie bei einem Kaminschutzgitter vorgehen und diesen mit den verschiedenen Lngen zusammenstellen, dass ein optimaler Schutz gegeben ist. Die Anleitung ist zwar ein wenig merkwrdig gestaltet (geht besser), aber alles in allem ist es quasi selbsterklrend und einfach gehalten.
Was uns nicht so sehr gefallen hat:
Die Art wie die Tr konstruiert wurde. Hier gibt es einige Hersteller, die das Schliesystem und die Art wie die Tr zu ffnen bzw. schlieen ist besser umgesetzt haben. Wer stndig und sehr oft am Tag das Trchen ffnen will, wir hier mit einer Hand vielleicht ab und an Probleme bekommen. Zumindest ist es bei uns so.
Trotzdem wrden wir fr unseren Einsatzzweck diese Konfiguartionsgitter weiterempfehlen!

A great product, well designed, easy to assemble and great looking. I bought it to protect my 12 week old puppy for the gas fire in my living room. It is extremely sturdy but easy to attach and detach from the wall when not needed. I have used the product continuously for the last month. I can thoroughly recommend this item.

After putting up our Christmas tree, the living room instantly became a sea of baubles (we have a toddler!) I ordered this after very little searching (it was quite obviously the most appropriate thing) and it does the job perfectly. My husband found it really easy to assemble, the joints can be set at a wide range of angles and judging by how much it has already been shaken, it’s incredibly sturdy! After Christmas I think we’ll be using it for other tasks – keeping toddler out of kitchen, away from bbq, away from cat food….I recommend this really highly.

It’s a great product, we bought this to keep our puppy out of the playroom. It’s so sturdy that we haven’t even fixed it to the walls it stands up on its own. But even fixing is no problem, and it’s a quick release to move gate out of the way if you need to. We’re very pleased with it. Would definitely recommend this gate.

Very strong and sturdy rails with solid wall mount. Actually looks good as well. The only thing I would like is to be able to order the wall mount alone so that I can move the guard elsewhere in the house.

As we are presently making our house safe in anticipation of a visit from our 14 month old grandson, we were looking for a sturdy fireguard suitable for a wood burning stove. The BabyDan fits the bill perfectly. It fixes easily and securely to the wall and is solid in construction so there is no movement. I like that we can still access our stove via the gate which is built in to the fireguard. We considered various sizes before purchasing and chose one which maintains a good distance from the stove. The system is flexible and you can choose where and how you fit the different sized panels to suit your space. It is also possible to purchase extension sections. We struggled to find a radiator cover for a very long radiator in another room so we decided to buy a second BabyDan and you can see from the photo that it works perfectly, keeping toddler away from a very hot radiator. I can also continue to use my dryers on the radiator. The other good point about BabyDan is that there are videos which clearly demonstrate how to affix the fireguards, that can be accessed via the Onbox app. We have just used one of these to aid the installation of our third BabyDan purchase, a safety gate for the top of the stairs, another excellent product.

One thing that I found during the installation process was that the App provided to assist with the construction and installation of the product was invaluable.
That said, it’s a sturdy and modular product that will likely see us through several years of child raising!
Sturdy and easy to assemble
This fire guard is fantastic. Easy to assemble and panels could be added or removed to fit the desired configuration for our fireplace. Very sturdy. My 8 month old is currently using it as a aid to standing up and it never moves. Would recommend.

I needed a solution for working from home as I have a lounge/dinner in one – I am in the shielded group so had no option to go into work and this solved the problem I was facing. We do not have a spare room so I could only work down stairs.
It fitted the whole width as you can see from the images it comes with all the fixings we have two boys so it stops them from coming down to where my computers are and crawling under the table which is a safety issue – so I can still work and see them at the same time.
I like the fact you can put into the shape you need so going forward it is a gate I could still utilise even if I wasn’t still working from home.
It’s sturdy and I like that it’s no overly tall so as adults we can step over it rather than Lee using the gate, as you can see from the images it isn’t imposing which was a worry my husband had due to it being our living space we have actually got used to it being there.
I would recommend this baby gate to family and friends as it does offer a solution to a lot of problems if you have children or not.

Fantastic gate for toddlers. It’s very strong & sturdy. Easily assembled. It’s also quite stylish & perfect for anyone who has a bullnosed staircase. We bought one for our fireplace too & again it works very well. Easy to fix to the wall.

Had to order the XL for my open plan kitchen/lounge to stop my little one from opening all cupboards and getting into things he shouldnt as cupboard clips were useless!

As a childminder we have used gates like these over the years for lots of different things. I’m very happy to say that these gates are great quality and work brilliantly. Love that they come in so many different sizes and can be fitted together to make lots of different lengths and shapes. Brilliant product. 100% would recommend.
Looks great and easy to assemble
Great product, easy to assemble and gives you the peace of mind you need with log burners. I was looking for a product that looked nice as well as being able to rely on a gate to stop my baby going near our open fire. This is the second BabyDan gate I have bought and I would highly recommend their products! Each one has looked nice and does the job as described!
I bought a second one...
I bought a BabyGan fire guard as one of the few I could find long enough for my space. Its very well made, sturdy, easy to install and operate. I needed something similar for the patio doors and again BabyBan are one of the few safety gates that are long enough. I got the white version this time for the patio doors, its the same solid sturdy easy to install unit. I have no concerns that the toddler is going to unlock, pull it off or get beyond the safety barrier. You can adjust the angle so while not flat (not safe) its not protruding into the room much.
Good dog gate aswell as childre
I personally brought this to keep the dog from going upstairs and fitted well in the space I needed and does the job. Easy to open/close and very sturdy.
Overall this product is suitable
Product does what it is supposed to, and provided a suitable barrier to our patio doors. However compared to other child gates we have this ones quality feels somewhat less. I find that the gate is cumbersome some and difficult to open at times. So at times i just simply climb over, so not to bother with battle of opening the gate.
Good buy - be aware of minimum distances if using as fire guard
I got this for its flexibility and adaptability to put up around a log burner. I was pleased with the purchase. The instructions are pictorial and aren’t completely intuitive but they do the job. If using for a fire guard please see my photos as the manual recommends the gates are minimum distances depending on if you have an open or closed fire. Thankfully they sell extension kits so I’m able to order those and push the gate further away from the heat source.
Brilliant room divide
Our home has an open plan dining and living area and with large double doors at the end we felt we needed a room divider to allow us to have the doors open and our 1 yo can crawl around the other area to his hearts content.
We searched for a few hours looking for a room divider that would fit the size of the gap we wanted to divide the room through.
This particular model was close but over the size we needed which is the best way to be as the individual panels can be removed or angled to give you the space you need.
This particular product was easy to assemble and I didn’t even need to use the instructions.
It took about 20 minutes to put together and another 10 to install the wall fittings once I had all the necessary tools to hand.
A great product and if we need to change our configuration or need some extra panels we will be buying this brand again.
Great item, just a shame instructions are rubbish
Firstly the instructions are useless!! Worse than useless, they have incorrect details on what is included and is configured for the larger size not the medium I purchased?????
I have a arch from living room to dining room that I needed to separate for my crawling baby, this was the only one I could find to fit the space. It arrived quickly and well packaged. I have had to fit from common sense, which seems simple enough after a bit of fiddling.
It does the job well, although its seems a little flimsy at first it does seem like it will last. Ideally a better fitting for the gate opening would be preferred but we’ll cope fine with this one. In fact we just step over it as it’s easier than opening and closing.
ALSO it does go straight, which none of the pictures show, and other reviews say it doesn’t, IT DOES I have added a photo

Good gate for bottom of turning stairway.
Black is by far a better colour as I had the white one and an awkward sky engineer wiped it out while coming down my stairs. Bought the black one to replace.
Really great quality very versatile gate.
I bought this gate to section off a safe space for my puppy in an awkwardly large and angular corridor. This has worked perfectly. Its great quality was easy to install and can be adjusted to fit different spaces easily. I actually bought a cheaper model for a different corridor and really regret not spending the extra 10 because this model is much better. Just the headache or building the other one wasn’t worth saving 10!
Wir haben drei Gitter von Baby Dan (Park a Kid, Flex XL und Flex XXL) und ein gnstiges Alternativgitter, das auf Amazon ebenfalls gut bewertet war und an sich seinen Job halbwegs ok macht. Auerdem haben wir ein Trgitter von Geuther. Nachdem wir einen guten Vergleich haben, wrde nichts anderes mehr als Baby Dan kaufen:
1. Es ist etwas teurer, was sich aber relativiert, da man Baby Dan Gitter gut auf Ebay verkaufen kann (dort hatten wir den Park a Kid gekauft)
2. Es ist definitiv VIEL besser als andere Gitter:
– Es gibt keine losen Schrauben, nichts was abfallen knnte
– Alles ist robust, auf langjhrigen und regelmigen Gebrauch ausgelegt (Tren, Verbinder, Gitter, Scharniere) – auch unser gebraucht gekaufter Park a Kid von Baby Dan ist noch wie neu
– Anders als unser Billig-Gitter scheppern die Baby-Dan-Gitter nicht, wenn man dagegen stt
– Die Tren ffnen und schlieen sich besser und geruschloser als sowohl das Geuter, als auch das No-Name Tor
– Die Gitter sind flexibel in verschiedenn Formen einrastbar, alle Teile aus allen Sets knnen miteinander kombiniert werden. Wir haben u.a. Stereoanlage und Pflanzen geschtzt, indem wir einzelne Bereiche abgesperrt haben. Macht unser Leben viel entspannter und der Kleine nutzt die Gitter als Lernhilfe frs Gehen.
– Die Gitter sehen auch ganz klar besser aus als alle anderen die ich in echt oder auf Fotos kenne.
Eine totale Kaufempfehlung, wir haben wie gesagt nicht umsonst bereits DREI Sets gekauft!
Baby Dan Flex L
Wir haben uns das Baby Dan Flex L Gutter gekauft um zu verhindern, das unser 8 Monate altes Baby stndig in die offene Kche robbt.
Da man bei einer offenen Kche eben nicht mal eben die Tr zum Wohnbereich schlieen kann, musste eine Lsung gefunden werden.
Nach etwas Recherche sind wir relativ schnell auf das Baby Dan Flex Gutter gestoen.
Auf den ersten Blick, genau das, nachdem wir gesucht haben.
Die ffnung der Kche zum Wohnbereich ist bei uns knapp 1.90 m breit. Das Flex L passt also sehr gut. Da das Baby Dan Flex L Gitter aus 3 Elementen (2 Seitenteile + 1 Trelement), die nicht genau in einer Linie aufgestellt werden soll (das mittlere Element sollte etwas in den Raum ragen ( in etwa so: _/ ), muss man genau messen und entscheiden welche Variante des Gitters (M/L/XL) bentigt wird.
Der Zusammenbau ist relativ einfach, nahezu selbsterklrend, ging mir leicht von der Hand und dauerte mit Bohnen und Anschrauben keine 30 Minuten.
Scharfe Kanten oder Grate, wie in anderen Rezension geschrieben, gab es bei unserem Gitter nicht.
Die Wandbefestigung besteht zwar aus relativ weichem Kunststoff, wirkt aber ausreichend stabil um Babys und Kleinkinder sicher aufzuhalten.
Wir sind soweit mit der Qualitt, dem einfachen Aufbau und dem Preis/Leistungsverhltnis sehr zufrieden… Wobei natrlich nur die Zeit, Aufschluss ber die dauerhafte Qualitt geben kann!
Study enough, easy to install
Very easy to install, does the job efficiently. A little bit flimsy on the attachments to the poles as they don’t extend the whole way down the pole they’re attached to. But very pleased overall.

Very sturdy gate. Although it has some weight behind it this is good because my little one has a habit of grabbing on to stand and shimmy across and without bolting this onto a wall it still stands very easily. I use it to cover my log burning stove or to span the room as a divider so half the room is child safe. Excellent price of kit.
A neat solutio
Really pleased with this. Got it after seeing it in a friend’s house and thinking it looked like a neat solution. Our one year old cruises along it and it withstand his shaking. Not super straightforward to install, bit seems solid now it’s up.
Very effective baby priso
Easy to build and install. Has put up with my one year old trying to escape. My 5 year old has mastered opening it as has my three year old but it is hard to open/close.
It’s no doubt saved us from a few trips to A&E .

Used this gate at the top of the stairs, easy to put together and fix to the wall but not as sturdy as we would like. It lifts off the floor when you open it because you’re pulling the catch up. I would buy it again though if I had a large gap I needed a stair gate fo
Safe solution to awkward problem.
This gate is surrounding an awkward base of stairs and works brilliantly. We are relaxed that our one year old, very active, running now , granddaughter is safe in our house.

Very adaptable for wider or awkward shaped openings
Great colour, made a difference to get a gate that wasn’t white. The written instructions were very brief but was able to download instructions on an app Onbox which provided video clips of each stage of assembly. Easy to attach to wall, bracket remains on wall and you lift gate off it when you do not need it in place. We had a wide opening which was too wide for normal gates even with an extension. Really sturdy and worth the money.
Sturdy and versatile baby gate, perfect for stairs
This is a second one of these we’ve bought, they are sturdy, stay in place and are fairly easy to assemble. We were using second baby gate that used pressure to stay in place but it kept moving and breaking down so we’ve upgraded to this BabyDan baby gate. It’s very versatile for larger spaces, we’ve successfully used it on the stairs landing and around bottom of the stairs.
Ticks all the boxes
This was to keep our puppy away from the stairs, we didn’t need one that was fixed to the wall, and as it’s only tempor2we didn’t want it to be too expensive. Very easy to assemble. This was ideal
Best stair gate for awkward spaces.
We were looking for a gate to go on the landing, rather that directly at the top of stairs. We got this gate about 4 years ago, and it’s seriously one of the best purchases we’ve ever made.
It’s sturdy and the latch is easy to open for adults (our 5 year old still can’t open it, which is perfect!).
Because it sits on the landing slightly away from the top of the stairs, it reduces the tripping hazard at the top, which is exactly what we were wanting to avoid.
It means that we can happily let our children wonder around upstairs without worrying about them during the night.
4 years on, its still going strong AND we’ve been able to buy replacement parts when needed.
Very impressed with this and it’s great value.
I’d say it’s the prefect gate if you have an unconventional or awkward space.
(the photo shows an extra gate into another room at the top of the stairs – that is a different/ separatebaby gate and put on so my husband can play X- box without disturbance!)
Various set up options/configuratio
We use this as a guard around a stove. The different ways of configuring the panels & the option of buying extra panels was one of the reasons for choosing this product. Very pleased with it.

This item is great to fit as it comes with different sections. You can adapt it to fit your needs. Really pleased with the fire guard. Would defo recommend. Looks good too!
Occasional use
This was just what we needed for when the grandchildren come to stay. We have a wide staircase and wanted something for occasional use. The wall brackets are screwed to the wall and we are happy to leave these in place. The gate can be removed from the wall brackets and stored away very easily.
My only problem was assembling the gate. The diagrams were too small, but eventually I figured it out.

Great for keeping kids out...and adults...
Needed it to stop our 1 year old from going towards our fireplace. We had our local handyman install it – it didn’t take too long for him and he said it was easy to put up – I’m not very good at these things! It is very sturdy and has so far managed to keep our little one out of harm’s way and dissuade any interest in the area which is exactly what we needed it to do, so full marks in that regard.
It seems pretty sturdy so far and does have an additional two sections which could be added if we needed to increase it’s area.
Loses one star for two reasons:
1. I think for what it is, it’s very expensive as most child safety products are…which is wrong in itself!
2. The entry gate/the door/whatever you want to call it is very fiddly to open and not particularly sturdy in itself. Also, it isn’t very big – it’s awkward to get through when I have to do something in the fireplace itself, so even though it’s great at a keeping a child out entirely, it makes it very difficult and awkward for an adult to get through and do something too, and that’s when it’s open!

Used as a Puppy gate on a set of doors that a normal baby gate won’t quite reach across.

Nice long dog gate
Using as a dog gate between living room and dining room, haven’t secured to the wall but is wedged in between the sofa and the wall, dogs haven’t jumped it yet!
Sturdy gate
Sturdy gate. Much easier to assemble than what the instructions make you think. Arrived promptly. The wall attachments could be of better quality as they are plastic and they do feel a bit flimsy and not as substantial as the rest of the gate. But I suppose time will tell if they last. Good that you can extend the gate with additional parts to suit your needs.
Good quality produc
Used for around our fire place and does exactly what we need it to, still have access to the fire if needed but keeps our little one well out of reach! Was easy to assemble and with the addition of the extenders was able to get a much better fit.
Easy to adjust to most shapes you need, easy to put togethe
Easy to assemble. Easily adjustable and easy to fit any shape you require. It is sturdy and won’t fall over, but does give a little in the middle especially on hard floors as slippery. Using as a barrier between kids and dogs and works perfectly. Didn’t come with wall plugs for the screws.

I was looking for a stair gate for the bottom of the stairs which needed to be on a bend and this did perfect but I had to buy a small extension with it, so far so good
Good sturdy stairgate.
Bought to close off the arch between our living and dining rooms, so out toddler cannot get into the kitchen while the oven is on. The arch is quite wide, so standard size stairgates wen’t big enough. Out toddler had been trying to play Tarzan and doing gorilla impressions shaking it quite vigorously, it has stood up to everything he has thrown at it.
Easy to assemble and fix
I ordered this product to fit a gap between the kitchen and living area which has two large steps between. This is just perfect – because the gate is best with slight angles in, it fits perfectly is strong and having the opening gate in it just makes the whole operation much easier. Very easy to assemble and to fix to the wall. Would definitely recommend.
Works really well
Got it up pretty quick – works really well 🙂 our little boy now can play in a designated area without us having to keep picking him up and moving him! Well worth the purchase!
Very secure
We have used this to divide our kitchen, to stop our 1yr old from getting to the cooker etc. Simple to install and secure when on. Takes my son rattling on the bars. Gate lock is a little fidderly compared to other baby gates
Recommended despite its flaws
This gate looks good in black and stand out a lot less than a traditional white gate. We had to get a gate that wasn’t straight as we wanted it to fit between the breakfast bar and the corner of a kitchen wall. Screw in gates are already more difficult than the pressure fit gates but this was particularly fiddly. It says to screw into wood, so had to use a baton of wood on the wall. Also, instructions state you cannot fit this in a straight line, so keep this in mind if you’re measuring the space you want it to cover.
The main let-down with the gate is the flimsy plastic brackets – if our daughter stands up at the gate it can wobble a bit and I’m not sure if they’ll last. Having said all that, it does exactly what we need it to and really was the only solution for the odd shaped gap we had.
Nice looking product that’s easy to install
We purchased this stair gate to gate off part of our kitchen, very pleased with it. Easy to install and looks a lot smarter than your average stair gate. It’s fitted into an awkward space nicely and feels sturdy without looking bulky. Delivery was quick and it’s of the quality expected of a Baby Dan product.
Works just fine.
Bought this to prevent a puppy/dog getting into our lounge. The instructions are not too clear but if you lay the parts out & compare it withe the photo of the product you can make sense of it. I like the fact that it just slots into the retainers screwed into the door frame which makes for easy removal. I socialise puppies for a dog charity so in order to stop new puppies getting on furniture it works great. The door catch is a little strong but I guess it’s designed that way to stop young children as well.
Fills the gap...
I found this easy to fill my odd shaped, large stepped entrance to the living area.
My gap was just over 2 meters wide and the gate was really easy to install.
The gate clasp is sometimes a little hard to undo and close with one hand which is a pain if you are carrying the baby. Overall the gate does what i need it to do, stop the inquisitive younger from falling down the steps, but it does feel a little thin/ light especially when the 11mth old stands up, grabs it and shakes it like a prisoner trying to escape…..
Just what I was looking fo
Great product! We have a very awkward staircase and after exhausting my search I found baby dan! It’s very sturdy and the black is gorgeous, though getting the configuration is a little fiddley, the fitting was easy and I’m so happy our staircase is safe!!
Solid and well made and flexible design.
Extremely well made and designed gate.
Modular design allows distance covered to be reduced or extended via extension pieces that can easily be bought separately.
It is sturdy and feels built to last compared to a lot of other gates that feel very flimsy.
I was unable to use the supplied fixings as they were wood screws unsuitable for dryline walls in my house but the manual does state this on fairness. Please be aware though you may need to buy alternative fixings to suit your wall type.
Great quality fireguard
Great product. We are very happy with the gate. It is easy to set up and although it does take up a bit of extra room , it protects the little one from the fire. It looks great too as it is not bulky.
