Dell Laptop Model XPS did not have inbuilt HDMI and required the usb-c port device to work.
Device worked first time. Fan does make some noise when starting but quiten’s over time.

Bought this to use at home for work. Hooked up a Dell laptop to 2 monitors via HDMI. I am able to use all 3 monitors or 2 when closing the laptop down. There is no delay on typing or moving your mouse- set up was very easy as well- note you will have to install the Dell software from the dell website to allow it to all work.

It’s easy to setup and it works with PCs other than Dell. This is not a plug and play device, that means you have to install a driver for it in your computer. I didn’t find the CD of installation driver in the package, but that doesn’t matter cause you can get a latest version from the website of Dell easily.

Great docking station..
Bought this piece after the last docking station was faulty and this have been a brilliant one. This version is good if you’re using two or more large monitors like 32inch.

I connected first monitor directly to mac book and then try to connect second monitor to hub. at first I use normal hdmi cable the quality not good it works on 50Hz after about 30 minutes the monitor will be turn on for 1 or 2 sec that was not good. then I used a hdmi 8k cable then every thing works as fine.

Chose this option for my Micorsoft Surface vs the much more expensive Microsoft Surface Hub. Easy to set up. Lots of USB options. Easily supported a wireless keyboard, mouse, external webcam and one external monitor. Only thing to note is you still need you MS power cord in addition to the USB input.

Works well for a WFH setup
If your laptop doesn’t have a thunderbolt USB type c port like mine, then this is next best alternative. To my horror, I never realised one singular USB port could carry so much signal – ethernet, display, other USB stuff, audio…and I thought I worked in IT. Well I have for the last 7 years, but that hasn’t been enough to become all-knowing. Well, that’s a shame. Not the DELL docks fault mind you. The only thing this dock doesn’t dock is a boat – #TitanicFail
Surprisingly awesome!
I was really hesitant to spend this money at first, at $200 it was far pricier than many other docks offering triple display capabilities, but after going through 3 other brands that were only 3 displays and not 3 extended +laptop, I bit the bullet and was pleasantly surprised! No flicker, no resets, just plugged and play! it does get a bit toasty but thats to be expected, and only other con i would say is there is no power off button, other than that, I definitely recommend this.
stop being cheap, just pay the bit extra, its worth it.

Die Dockingstation ist ein auf DisplayLink-Technologie basierendes Dock mit USB3-A Stecker, der die Installation des DisplayLink-Treibers auch dann voraussetzt, wenn der Laptop DisplayLink via USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) bereitstellt. Im Gegensatz zu genannten TB3-Docks haben diese USB3-Docks eine eigene, zustzliche Stromversorgung. Wenn der Laptop via USB-C keine DisplayLink-Technologie bereitstellt (kein Blitzsymbol an der Buchse vorhanden sondern nur das SuperSpeed-USB-Zeichen), ist dieser Dock hier eine sehr gute Alternative. Fr Firmen-Laptops wird er regelmig keine Alternative sein, da dort die Installation der ntigen Treiber i.d.R. vom Administrator aus Sicherheitsgrnden unterbunden sein wird. Dann sind TB3-Docks die bessere Wahl, weil diese ohne Treiberinstallation auskommen und sogar ohne separate Stromversorgung. Ansonsten ist dieser USB3-Dock sehr gut und fhlt sich qualitativ hochwertig an. Der Preis ist schon recht hoch, da kostet die Marke halt mit, es gibt auch etwas preiswertere Alternativen oder man nimmt beruhigt ein “wie neu” Gert aus den Warehouse-Deals. Diese funktionieren i.d.R. einwandfrei, weil sie selten wegen technischer Defekte zurck geschickt worden sein drften sondern eher wegen der ntigen Treiberinstallation, was wie gesagt bei Firmengerten i.d.R. nicht ohne Weiteres mglich sein wird und von den Admins fters verweigert werden drfte. Also hier vorher informieren. Bei privater Nutzung besteht diese Beschrnkung natrlich nicht.

yeah it can't charge your laptop but it does everything else at a great price. you get the cables to get you going and if you know how to plug cables in you can manage to get this thing up and running.

Must be a software/firmware issue on the laptop itself. Dock is light and plasticky compared to other Dell docks at work but fits the purpose for work at home. I use a wireless keyboard and razer mouse but had to move the mouse dongle to the laptops directly as the pointer keeps bouncing around when attached to the dock. Again, for the price it went on sale, it is fit for purpose.

Wasn't sure of setting this up quickly , that too in Linux. But it turned out to be a cake walk. I can feel some lag sometimes, but HDMI through USB worked better than my expectation. Now , I have a triple monitor setup! Couldn't get any other product meeting my requirements. Good buy for docking needs !

3 Full HD mit Surface Pro7
Preis-Leistung top. Hatte vorher ein Billigkram (40 ) welche anscheinend 3 monitors knnte aber ich habe nur 2 extened und 1 mirror geschafft. Mit dem Dell 3100 kann ich nun via USB anschliessen und es luft. Fr 105 voll ok. 3 1920 monitors laufen in Extended mode und mein Laptop zeigt die 4. View.
Sicher wre es noch besser mit USB-C/Thunderbolt mit Laden eingebaut aber dann sind wir bereits bei 170-180 .
Fr Arbeiten also spitze. Als Gaming-Rig eher nciht wegen eine niedrigeren Refresh rate.
Stattdessen ist eine 49 zoll 21:9 Schirm eine Alternative aber dann laufen die Kosten wieder…..
Summa summarum: Fr Arbeiten top.
Great USB 3.0 Docking Statio
I really like the ability to connect a 4K/Wide screen with additional monitors. Not many docking stations do this and not a lot of the ones that have USB 3.0.
To the people who are complaining about a jittery mouse, plug it into a USB 2.0 port. USB 3.0 interferes with 2.4 GHz. It’s not really a problem with the device but the USB standard.
Been using this product for years and does a great job. Was a lifesaver with my new laptop as for some reason it didn't support the resolution for my 34" monitor but with this dock it fixed my issue. Highly recommend for this plus many other great features.

Good connectivity
Good connectivity. The only improvemnent I could suggest is an on/off switch for each usb slot. Tis would remove the need to unpug items such as art pads when not in use and would save small amount of power.
Unverzichtbar im Homeoffice.
Sie funktioniert wie beschrieben. Ich habe ein BT Headset, BT Maus und Tastatur, eine Webcam, Lautsprecher, LAN Kabel und zwei 24” Monitore angeschlossen. Alle Gerte arbeiten einwandfrei und den einen Stern Abzug gibt es fr sehr seltene aber extrem lstige Aussetzer der USB Ports. Trotz des kleinen Mankos empfehle ich dieses Gert.

Easy to install- plug and go! Although I have the same docking station at work too! Bought primarily as needed a monitor with a laptop for home working. The docking station means I can plug the laptop/monitor/mouse and keyboard in with the laptop and have a better working environment at home.
It's a neat, compact dock and instructions and driver were super simple to download and connect up. Instantly solved my dilemma of 2 external monitors to a laptop with only one external display port 👌 brilliant!

Made my home office space more productive
This is a wonderfully simple dock solution!
It’s smaller than the specs quoted in Amazon by the manufacturer. I am running Windows10 Enterprise for my work laptop (Lenovo T560) and Windows10 for my home laptop (HP ProBook 440 G6). Both connected through the dock with the same peripherals without any issues which was a relief because I was concerned about compatibility with Windows10 which has dropped DisplayLink support.
And I now have the ability to connect a third monitor which will be a 50″ QLED TV. I’m just waiting for it to ship!
Lots of ports, but too expensive for my needs
Works perfectly if you want multiple monitors, but it has far more ports than I need and for my limited needs, is too expensive.
I ended up getting a USB C to HDMI adapter cable and just using the HDMI port my laptop already has. Much less expensive.
But great by all means if you need that many ports.
Make sure to read the instructions first – I did – you need to install some software/drivers before plugging it in to use it.

Quera el docking station para poder ampliar el nmero de monitores que puedo conectar a mi laptop y me ha venido muy bien este,adems, el precio es bastante bajo comparado con otros.
Llevo usndolo un par de meses, cuando saque el producto de su caja puedes leer un mensaje que avisa que debes descargar un driver para que el dispositivo funcione pero no fue necesario, es un plug and play (en la laptop de mi trabajo no te do autorizado instalar drivers que no estn autorizados por la empresa, pero si instale el driver en mi maquina personal). Despus de este tiempo usndolo he notado que llega a haber ciertos casos en los que hay una especie de “flasheo” en los monitores, se va la imagen y regresa en un perodo muy corto de tiempo, no se a que se pueda deber, si es porque un cable de mueve o algo por el estilo.

Works great for adding additional screens.
Can now have 5 screens running at once in Windows 10. Very useful for monitoring systems on top two screens whilst working on lower three.
Also allows direct input of network cable to laptop without any other adapter.

D3100 Docking Station: This device was bought after a cheaper USB-C version failed to work. I wanted a docking station which would include USB ports, audio and screen extending onto 3 external screens. This product uses DisplayLink which worked out of the box on Win10, but required a driver install (available from Dell’s website) for Windows 7. The front 3 ports are USB 3, with 2 rear USB 2 (e.g. for Keyboard / Webcam). There is a front headphone socket and rear headphone/mic socket. I don’t have any need for the ethernet connection in this instance. The device is great, and allows my to use my desk setup of monitors, keyboard, mouse, webcam with any computer I attach (e.g. laptop / desktop etc). Because it doesn’t require DP Alt Mode, it works on older USB machines. Highly recommended. I bought a refurbished model, which was near new, but would have paid the full price if that wasn’t available. The ease of setup makes it worth it.

I wanted a dock to connect two monitors to my laptop as well as my mouse and keyboard. I’d bought other cheaper docks which just mirrored my laptop screen across my two monitors. This dock allows you to connect the monitors and use them independently. The dock was really easy to set up following the instructions provided. It works perfectly with my HP laptop and my work Surface Pro.

Preis isr aktuell zwar teurer als vor einigen Jahren. Sicher wird der Covid-19-Aufschlag auf Homeoffice-Waren daran Schuld haben Das Gert erfllt meine Erwartungen und Hoffnungen. Sehr toll und einfacher zu arbeiten, vor allem mit den nun insgesamt 3 Monitoren die ich jetzt zur Verfgung habe.

Excelente producto, y fcil de instalar. Simplemente descargas los drivers desde la pgina de DELL, lo conectas y listo! Si acaso hay que configurar el orden y configuracin de las pantallas en Windows pero no te toma ni 2 min.
A great purchase for my two monitors
I gave this a lot of thought and finally decided to go for a Dell docking station rather than other cheaper models. I use it with a Razer Stealth laptop with Windows 10 and this was super easy to install. I use two types of connectors and my two monitors work perfectly with it. Overall a great purchase.
Tena mis dudas sobre si podra conectarle mis 3 monitores de mi antigua Mac a mi nueva Mac mini m1, pregunt e investigu y pareca que s, por lo que lo orden. En cuanto lleg lo saqu de la caja, enchuf todo y baj el driver de la pgina de Displaylink, listo! tengo 2 monitores a travs de este Dock y el tercero a travs del HDMI, funciona de maravilla sin lag, excelente resolucin y hasta se siente nativo, altamente recomendado!!

Al da de hoy funciona bien conectado a dos monitores de 24 pulgadas Samsung en posibilidad de aadir un tercero en una Laptop Lenovo Core i7 11 generacin con tarjeta de video nvidea.
Al principio tena muchas dudas en comprar el dock station debido a que menciona los equipos con los cuales es compatible, y ninguno de mis equipos figura en el listado. Tengo dos laptops, una Dell 7480 (trabajo) y una Lenovo Z5075 (uso personal) y lo que me interesaba era poder conectar 3 pantallas externas marca BenQ. Anteriormente una pantalla la tena conectada directamente a la lap a travs de un cable HDMI y para las otras dos utilizaba un adaptador dual de HDMI, consegua buen desempeo pero solo para trabajo bsico (usar outlook, word, excel, etc.), pero si quera ver un video en la mayor resolucin tena que ser en el monitor que se encontraba conectado directamente a la lap porque los otros dos monitores no soportaban la resolucin y se trababa la imagen y era bastanta molesto. Despus de leer varias reseas y ver que haba varios usuarios que comentaban que no tuvieron problemas de compatibilidad con otras marcas fue que me decid a comprarlo.
El producto me lleg el mismo da, perfectamente empaquetado, y para mi sorpresa fue la mejor decisin que pude haber tomado. Primero lo utilic con el equipo Dell, conect todos los perifricos al dock station, despus a la lap y en automtico inici la configuracin del dispositivo (no tuve que descargar el driver); una vez que termin la configuracin no tuve ningn problema, el equipo funcion correctamente. Despus repliqu lo mismo pero con la otra lap (Lenovo), y tambin en automtico se inici la configuracin. Tena mis dudas si deba descargar primero el driver, pero le que mas bien el driver es para cuando existe algn problema con los monitores y no se consigue imagen. Termin la instalacin y al igual que con la Dell, la lap funciona correctamente y en ambos casos sent la diferencia al instante. Ya puedo reproducir videos si que se traben en las tres pantallas y los cambios de una pantalla a otra son mas fluidos. Lo nico que le falta a este modelo es que a travs de este se pudiera cargar la batera de lap, pero para eso Dell cuenta con el modelo Universal Dock D6000 el cual si tiene la funcin para carga pero es mas caro.

Muy buen producto. Puedo conectar mis dos monitores con HDMI, bocinas externas, memorias, y cable de eternet. El cable del aparato es largo y puedo ponerlo atrs de la computadora sin problemas. Por 3 mil en el buen fin me pareci una excelente oportunidad. Muy satisfecha.
New boost to an old-ish PC
I wnated something to watch movies on. My old PC had an old HD graphics card. With this I’m now using a 1080p monitor for surfing etc and watching movies in 2550×1440 on a 4k monitor. And it also works as a USB hub so my desk is tidier.

Works as expected
Know the right driver to install. Use the Dell DIsplaylinks driver resolves all issues. If you find the resolution is not as sharp, it is because it does not automatically set to use high refresh rate. Once you change it to the high refresh rate, all is good.
Makes sure to use the USB 3.0 port from your Laptop/PC to connect to the dock or the performance will not be good.
Bought this for home working. I have a Dell laptop and wanted to have a 3 display setup. I got 2 LG monitors mounted on a desk stalk, connected via the supplied HDMI leads to this dock. Works perfectly once I’d downloaded the Dell drivers.
Only thing to note is that this doesn’t charge the laptop – it connects through the USB 3 socket on the laptop, not the USB C. Accordingly you have to have the dock connected to mains power as well as the laptop separately connected to mains power. Not a big deal though.
Very pleased with my setup now.

So thing guy works great, I don’t know how many times I’m going to fall for those dongles that apparently just work with 2 hdmis etc but my glad this works. Use it for my personal laptop when I need to use my works hot desk. (It’s a HP hot desk, so I just need to change the hubs and plug the laptop in)
Bought this one to run 3 monitors from my desktop, and to have for my laptop should I need it at a later stage. Working well so far – installation was easy to follow and fairly quick. So far so good, would recommend for running 3 displays on a desktop pc.
Also just found I can still use at least one of my desktop’s display outs (the ones I was originally using) meaning this box can be used to ADD 3 monitors to a desktop system. Great!!!! I’m now running an extended desktop with 4 screens.
The D3100 is a good product spoilt by bad documentation and no suppo
The Dell D3100 Docking Station installed quickly and easily and the performance exceeded my expectations. Sadly the D3100 is let down by bad documentation and no support. The 10 page user manual is inadequate; it is nothing more than a Quick-Start-Guide, and presumably it is out of date. The manual takes two pages to describe the DisplayLink-Manager-Menu, which from the description in the manual appears to be fundamental to the operation of the D3100. Eventually I had to assume that this DisplayLink-Manager-Menu no longer exists, and has been replaced by Windows 10 settings, but this is not documented. Some documentation describes a port on the front as a “headphone-jack” and a port on the back as “output-to-speakers”. Elsewhere, these are more accurately described as “audio-combo” and “audio-line-out”. So, inserting a single 3.5mm jack plug into the socket on the front will connect a standard stereo-headphone-plus-microphone-headset and will automatically cut-off the sound from all the monitor speakers, but will continue to provide sound to the audio-line-out. This is a good arrangement; it is unfortunate that some of the documentation is misleading
The Dell Website states that the Support Code is printed on the underside of the D3100. It is not. There is no Support Code. Access to Documentation is therefore limited, and access to Dell Support is blocked. Eventually I managed to waste an hour on the telephone to Dell Support which achieved nothing
This does everything that I need it to with 5 USB 3.0 slots and the ability to power 3 external displays. This docking station is able to power all my peripherals, my external 8Tb drive, as well as another USB extension with 4 more accessories. The transfer speeds of this docking station is solid depending on the device you link with it. The great thing of this docking station is that it is a plug and play device. This is all done through a USB 3.0 (my model).

Premetto che come marca la DELL mi sempre piaciuta, ma con l’ultimo PC aziendale ricevuto (un Inspiron 5593 con i7 10th gen con usb-c e scheda video aggiuntiva) hanno fatto un passo indietro: hanno limitato la porta HDMI a FullHD (1920*1080) e la usb-c non abilitata per il video (n ricarica).
Mi sono imbattuto in questa DockStation (D3100), nella speranza di risolvere il problema e riuscire a sfruttare appieno la funzionalit del monitor esterno (3440*1440) – questa dock ha risolto questa problematica.
Non ho ancora sfruttato le varie funzionalit, tipo jack cuffie/ casse, ma solo HDMI e DP.
La mia fortuna stata di trovarla usata a 70, altrimenti ne avrei dovuto spendere il doppio (tutto per colpa di mamma Dell)
NOTA: con HDMI la risoluzione MAX solo 2560*1440

Does what it says BUT
I have purchased this item for my HP Elitebook 840 G6 to connect to a 1x 34 inch Ace Predator X34 and 2 x 24 inch Dell monitors. While it can do this in fact on all three monitors I ran into a problem where by the refresh rate on the acer monitor drops via Display port below 60 Hz, the monitor can support up to a 100 and anything under 60 is just gives my eyes a lot of strain.
The problem is that it I expect this to support this but it didnt, it is my own fault and therefore I will be returning this. If you have a laptop which supports thurnderbolt please make sure to research this prior, this dock is not a good fit for a 3440×1440 if you want to run it at least at 60 hz
Works just like it should (just not the cheapest)
I upgraded from a slightly cheaper generic dock, which did not support my new 4K monitor. Just make sure that you use the right video connection – best to make the Display Port the main/best monitor and then HDMIs for the other one/two. The USB3s perform well I have connected my high speed NAS (USB-C/3). Also Ethernet seems to work fine and just as fast (early days). I did run out of USB2 ports on the back so had to use up some of the USB3’s for things like microphones. Down to just one cable to dock my laptop (2 if you include the power).

La station DELL fonctionne trs bien, elle est petite donc prend peu de place sur le bureau. Elle a t facile installer. Comme la majorit des appareil set services lectroniques offerts au Canada, le prix est lev. Pour la transparence, je ne comprends pas rellement la question.

It has worked excellent on my Mac, HP, and Lenovo laptops.
It is a worthy investment.

Caro pero funcioma a la perfeccion. Si lo usas con una mac tambien funciona PERO no puedes cerrar la mac, no puedes usar la mac en modalidad “clamshell” ya que los monitores externos “parpadean”.

Bin mit der Original – Dockingstation sehr zufrieden. Bediene ber einen einzigen USB 1 groen Bildschirm 3440 x 1440 Pixel, 1 Beamer, Maus, Tastatur, Webcam, externes Laufwerk und externe Festplatte. Dabei zu beachten ist nur dass der Laptop, in meinem Fall ein Dell Inspiron 15, auch mit Strom versorgt werden muss. In Summe hat man also 2 Kabel die am Laptop hngen.
Installation und Einrichtung ist keine Herausforderung und man kann sofort produktiv loslegen.
Ich habe die Docking Station selbst mit doppelseitigen Klebeband am Tisch montiert, um ein feines Kabelmanagement sicherstellen zu knnen.
Al conectar todo en mi mac book air 2017, no detectaba las pantallas; en ese momento cre que hice mal la compra, pero al revisar el instructivo tena un link de drivers, en ese momento me di la tarea de entrar e instalarlo.
Por fin tengo mis 2 monitores conectados a mi mac y an tengo el tercero (displayport), pero ser cuando tenga un mejor escritorio con ms espacio; mientras, estoy disfrutando de mi compra!

I’ve been using a Plugable dock for 2 monitors for a long time, and added a third monitor using an additional adapter via USB, but I started to get a lag in screens at times, and the dock was getting a bit hot. Unfortunately, Plugable don’t do a three monitor dock with a normal USB connection now, only USB C, which wouldn’t work with my set up. So I looked around and found this little item, which seemed to do everything I needed. It arrived, the drivers were the same as Plugable use, so already installed, and it was plug and go. It does get a little hot, but not as hot as the previous dock, and it has been faultless so far. I use it with a Plugable switch so that I can switch my keyboard, mouse and monitors over from my personal computer to my work laptop at the press of a button, and it has worked flawlessly. The only thing I am not keen on is that it has a very bright, white light on at the front, which I find is annoying as it keeps catching my eye. This would have been better in blue/orange/green or anything other than bright white. As soon as I can find some transparent coloured plastic or film, it will be covered up. Highly recommended kit, and impressed with it, and as a long time Plugable fan, that says a lot.
I only have one HDMI port on my laptop and now I can have two full sized monitors for my home office. Don't know how people can be efficient without multiple monitors. Each one works independently of one another just like I needed it to be.

Doesn't have all the features of higher end docking stations but good value
Doesn’t have all the features like USB-C some dell docking stations have but it’s got all the basics needed with 2 HDMI out and lots of USB ports. Bought it for compatibility to use with my office dell laptop but it does tend to lose the monitor signal for a few seconds from time to time. Overall solid product.

Works perfectly
I was surprised when a single USB was able to make 2 additional monitors work on my MacBook Pro 2012. Nothing else I tried worked so this is a great piece of kit.
I just bought one of theses to try them out ... and now that I need to get a second one, Just found out I paid 20$ more on the first one if i'd wait for a week ... Come on ! Works great, but I overpaid 20$ something on the first one... Which I got 9 days ago !

I could never imagine that building up a multi-monitor setup could be so simple and easy. I connected to three external monitors from my laptop through one USB port and it works perfectly. Initially I was a bit doubtful about the graphic quality, but its smooth as ever, imagine its flowing out through a single USB3 port. Its powerful, its easy & simple to configure. In addition there are so many usb ports, ethernet & audio ports. I use it for my stock trading setup in Widows-10. I’m very satisfied with this unit so I’ll be posting a youtube video soon to show how I’m using it. Thank you DEL for this wonderful docking station.

Great product and works seamlessly with both surface pro and MacBook Pro. The image quality on monitors is great and usb powers everything you connect to it. Unfortunately, too big and bulky to travel with, including the power adaptor.

So pleased with this. I have been struggling with attaching 2 screens to my laptop for my home office since working from home. Sometimes they would work, other times not. It was getting rather frustrating! Finally decided to invest a bit of money. The item I wanted was a little out of my price range, so I thought I would give this one a go and I’m very pleased with it. It was so easy to set up, straight out of the box. I was worried that I’d have to fiddle around with installing a driver or something and I’m really not tech minded, however, it was really as simple as plugging in (to the mains and laptop) and attaching the screens, mouse and keyboard and away I went. Couldn’t be more pleased. It sits nicely at the side of my desk and doesn’t take up too much room. I might have liked it to have the option to stand up, so the space used was even less, but I can live with that. When it’s been on all day it does feel a little warm to the touch, but so far that doesn’t seem to be an issue. One thing to note is that the speakers now go through the docking station – took me a while to work out why I couldn’t hear when in my zoom meeting, until I thought to plug some headphones into the dock and hey presto, back in the game!

Works foe triple display which is what I bought it for. The Dvi adaptor included is for a male hdmi so I just got another lead because not all three outputs are hdmi one is displayport. Overall bery happy it works so well.

Only feature disappointed with is that after buying it discovered that the laptop doesn’t charge through the hub. So need to run 2 power supplies. But a hub to do that would have cost a lot more.

Lo he probado con Kubuntu 20.04 pero no detectaba la pantalla, pero despus de descargar los drivers de la web (los links aparecen en la caja) las detecto sin problemas. El aparato se ve de buena calidad, lo que no me gust mucho es que el cable que lo conecta al laptop es muy rgido y da la sensacin de fragilidad si se mueve mucho (no digo que sea frgil, solo parece un cable que no es conveniente mover)
Lo us poco y de momento no se recupera de la suspensin del sistema bien. Cuando hiberna el equipo despus no se encienden las pantallas. No se si por las pantallas o por el hardware. Ya veremos cmo lo solucionamos.

This is a good product, and very stable. I’ve tried other products and some times drivers might not work really well or the hole system some times disconnects. This is not the case, I have it plugged to a surface pro, through USB3, handling dual monitors and it is working perfectly. The seller was really good, it was quickly at delivering and also when I requested my tax invoice, responded within hours.

Brilliant item
Superb item, installed in no time and extremely easy as well to get my 2 monitors up and running. I had 2 HDMI cables at home so didn’t need to purchase any as they don’t come with the item. There is 1 lead to allow you to connect 1 monitor.
I am using Dell XPS15 7590 with 3 monitors and the laptop closed. So you could have 4 monitors. Easy to install, but, take your time plugging items in 1 at a time. The 2 HDMI monitors must have HDMI 1.4 or above (I used 2.0) or the hdmi screens will flicker on off. I advise get new hdmi leads. Runs a little warm on the top but that is fine. Would be 5 stars if it had a button on the top, like some other Dell docking stations, to turn the laptop on, but its not much of an issue to lift the laptop lid and press the on button then close again. Overall very happy and good value for money compared to the many other slightly cheaper alternatives I have tried in the past.

Super Teil! Ich hatte eine Mglichkeit gesucht, zwei Bildschirme bei meinen Laptops anzuschlieen, ohne dass ich pro Laptop verschiedene Gerte bentige. Beide Laptops lassen sich problemlos an die Dockingstation anschlieen und bedienen. Da mein privater Laptop ein wenig lter ist, war ich in Sorge, dass das mglicherweise nicht wie gewnscht funktionieren wrde. Aber alles top! Ich bin sehr zufrieden!
I wasn’t sure if my laptop was going to be able to pump out three screens — let alone FOUR. The system is running beautiful. 4 Screens. It’s amazing. I have a 2-in-1 laptop and flipped the screen around on the top as you can see. I am so amazed at this little devices power.
I had another brand docking station and it gave me lots of problems. I bought a Dell one 4 years ago which performed great. I have 2 printers, my monitor, the cable company internet plug attached and everything worked great. I bought a second laptop and knew I should only buy another Dell.

People giving low ratings because it doesn’t charge should note that Dell doesn’t advertise that it does charge and Dell sells other docks that do support laptop charging. The product works as described on the Dell website.
Dual screen for MacBook Air early 2015
I looked around for a number of solutions to support dual externals HDMI screens in addition to my primary screen on my MacBook Air early 2015.
Further to downloading the display link driver this docking station has achieved this nearly out of the box. The additional powered USB access has been a big positive too.
Great for getting your home office up and running
Like a lot of people, I imagine, I got my Dell D3100 docking station when I started working from home at the outbreak of Covid19. Suddenly the room I’d always earmarked as an office needed to actually become an office!
From the start, it’s worked great, and is a nicely compact bit of kit that isn’t taking up desk space. Just needed one AI ole driver download at the beginning which was no issue.
Personally, I’m running 2 HDMI monitors out the back which have both worked perfectly from the word go, whilst in the front 3 USB ports I’ve got plugged in a mouse, keyboard and headset. Everything plug & played without issue. And with this setup all running off the Dell D3100 I’ve got everything I need to run my home office. No complaints.

I am very pleased with this docking station. I bought that for the home office because of COVID-19 (work from home policy). I had a docking station at the office which is about 2.5x more expensive than this one. This one works the same and way smaller than the expensive one I have in my office. Highly recommended.

Just right!
I have been fed up for ages having to plug in various cables and then unplug them when I want to change something or move. I set this up some time ago and now that I’m working from home I can have everything I may need permanently plugged in and ready to go. If I want to move, just one cable to unplug. Excellent value like all Dell equipment and excellent price and service from this supplier!
Multiple Monitor Use
Bought for work (as they wouldn’t provide one) great for additional monitor use and easy to set up. Will you for personal use at some point in future too. Great for working with Surface Pro.

Great piece of kit. Absolutely necessary if working from home, just keep in mind that if you have a company laptop it does need software so make sure you have the right to install. Been using it 3 weeks now and I’m very pleased, I use 2 large monitors and the laptop screen, multiple USB devices plugged in and so far so good.

Die Dockingstation funktioniert mit mehreren unterschiedlichen Dell Notebooks, auch ltere Modelle, perfekt. Schade dass man trotzdem noch ein zustzliches Netzteil fr das Notebook bentigt. Dafr ist der Preis absolut klasse. Weil mir die Ladefunktion fehlt gebe ich nur 4 Sterne gesamt. Rein technisch und von der Funktion htte die Dockingstation trotzdem 5 Sterne verdient.

A brilliant time save
This is an excellent product and it saves me time plugging in multiple monitors and peripherals in to my laptop when I want to sit at my desk to work.
Worked with 2 HP monitors with HDMI inputs. Had to download some extra drivers off the internet to work. 5 star - Superb dock that simply works ALWAYS
I bought my Dell dock because I had one at work and I liked this one so I just had to have one at home as well. I am working as a software engineer and a technical architect and I do lot of work from home.
I am used to multi screen environment and at home I use three extra monitors for my laptop.
I have been using my dock for 12 months and it simply works all the time. I have never experienced connection issues, flickering monitors, unstable network etc.
If I would be buying one now I would go for the Dell D6000
I use this docking station with 3 HP w2338h monitors, running at 1920x1080 in Slackware64-current without any issues. The setup was straight forward, without any issues.
