It removes the stress on my hand. It is truly a vertical mouse that is easy to use and the hand rests comfortably on the mouse. It freaks like you are holding a joystick. This tremendously help relieve pressure on your hand, especially if have issues with your hand due to constant use of computer mice.
I specifically like the design that allows bottom of your hand to rest on the edge of the mouse, and thus, your hand is not on the desk. This smart design allows your hand move with the mouse when the mouse is moving, making it so much better to remove stress on your hand, especially if you’re a heavy user of computer mice.
RSI godsend
This is the best solution to mousing RSI. I have used it for five years, and just bought another as I wore the last one out. Worth every penny to be totally comfortable.
A big thumbs up
What a transformationm. Many times my wrist and thumb would become tingly or just ache with a conventual mouse this one works splendidly. I experienced no user problems with the differant buttons to use and was able to work seamlessly from my old standard mouse to this one.
The mouse form factor is pretty good, except the one that was delivered to me was clearly a repacked or returned version. However, the status was fine and I did not want to bother the trouble so I decided to use it.
The mouse works quite well, except for the software for OSX, which installs a kernel extension that quite often eats up one of the cores. I’ve experienced this for High Sierra and Mojave, and works fine if I uninstall their kernel extension. Thus, the macro and re-programming of mouse does not work, but you can still map the mouse buttons OSX’s default keybinding functionalities.
Ich habe 20 Jahre lang an Notebooks mit Touchpad gearbeitet ohne weitere Hilfsmittel. Vor einem Jahr begannen Beschwerden im rechten Ellbogen und Unterarm, die ich erst nach lngerer Zeit als Maus-Arm erkannte. Behandlungen halfen vorbergehend, aber jedes lange Arbeiten am Notebook verschlimmerte die Schmerzen wieder. In meiner Hochphase der Notebook-Arbeit, wo ich nicht die Wahl hatte Pausen zu machen und es wieder deutlich schlimmer wurde, “stolperte” ich pltzlich ber die Idee mit der Vertikalmaus. Habe sie mir besorgt, die ganze Ergomie am Arbeitsplatz verndert (externer Bildschirm, Tastatur weiter weg gerckt und Evoluent-Maus verwendet) und innerhalb 48 Stunden sind meine Beschwerden nahezu verschwunden, obwohl ich den ganzen Tag derzeit viele Stunden am Notebook arbeiten muss! Die Bedienung geht so viel schneller, dank der 6 Tasten kann ich vieles mir leichter machen (inklusive Doppelklick sparen, der auf der mittleren Taste liegt oder Emails senden mit einem Daumenklick nach unten) und der Maustreiber (zum Download) bietet vielfltige Optimierungs- und Einstellungsmglichkeiten. Ich bin begeistert!
Macht was sie soll
Probleme mit meinem Ellenbogen sind besser geworden aber noch nicht weg(8 Wochen).
Merke aber das sich meine Unterarm Muskulatur entspannt hat.
Die Umstellung dauert schon ein paar Tage aber jetzt ist sie in Fleisch und Blut ber gegangen.
Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, das die beleuchtete Schrift auf der Maus auch nicht nach runterfahren des PC ausgeht!
Ich stecke sie dann immer aus dem USB aus,wenn jemand da Abhilfe wei bitte melden.
die untere Maustaste fr Rechtsklick ist fr mich gewhnungsbedrftig, aber meine Schulter und Ellenbogenschmerzen sind wesentlich besser geworden seid ich die Maus benutze, ich habe ein paar Muse durchprobiert und diese benutze ich bei der Arbeit und Privat.
Bitte auf die Gre achten es gibt die Maus fr kleine und normale Hnde auch fr LInkshnder …
an meinem Mac ist sie leider nach dem Standby nicht mehr aktiv (Aus- Einstecken dann gehts wieder),
unter Windows und Linux funktioniert sie einwandfrei …

Con questo tipo di mouse ergonomico ho dato l’addio allo scricchiolare del polso e ai dolori all’avambraccio. All’inizio un p strano da utilizzare ma ci si fa l’abitudine. 6 tasti programmabili + rotellina. Leggero. Cavo da 2 mt. Funziona da subito anche senza driver o software proprietario. Disponibile anche wireless o per mani piccole. Unico neo: il prezzo. Lo consiglio comunque vivamente ha chi ha problemi articolari poich la postura mano/braccio sicuramente pi rilassata. Lo utilizzo da due anni circa e sono passato da poco al modello successivo che per non ha molto in pi da offrire rispetto a questo.
Super verarbeitet und Turbolieferung. Habe diese Maus fr einen Mitarbeiter gekauft, um ihm das arbeiten am PC leichter zu gestalten. Funktioniert perfekt und die vorherigen schmerzen im Arm sind weg. Nie bei Mitarbeitern sparen, denn sie sind die wichtigsten Menschen die ein Unternehmen hat. Mitarbeiter glcklich und motiviert. Jeder Arbeitgeber sollte mal Fragen ob sein Mitarbeiter mit der Arbeitsplatzeinrichtung zufrieden ist, da viele sich nicht trauen was zu sagen. Gerade wer viel am PC arbeitet kann dadurch seine Lebensqualitt verbessern. Dazu gibt es auch Handgelenksauflagen.
Hardware is great, the software is lacking
There is some issues with the tracking of the cursor. At times when I leave it idle it’ll slowly move off position, and rarely it jerks over to somewhere random on screen.
I do not recommend for gamers or other professions that require precision like artists but for the rest of what I do for work its been great! I consider it one of the things that’s aided in my arm feeling better than it has in years!

Sure, it takes 1-2 days to get used to at first, but after that there's no turning back. I know some people complain that it can tip, but I've never had that issue. Maybe it's because I don't use it on a mouse pad and let it slide on my desktop instead. The programmable thumb buttons really come in handy, and I would highly recommend changing the settings on those or else you're liable to hit "back" with your thumb with the slightest touch.

Not only is its higher angle than other vertical mice helpful in removing wrist strain, its well thought out comfort and usability make it a very productive device at that. In a few hours of usage, its fit feels natural.
For those that gripe about the challenges of straining new muscles to position their pointer, they need to utilize more their fingertips and thumb, with its well sculpted cavity, for fine motion. We do that with pencils and pens (remember those inventions?) Anchoring your palm’s side might save a lot of effort with small precise movements, with your wrist on a wrist rest too. And moving your arm for more coarse positioning in the “handshake” posture feels natural if not more so than flat mice.
Optical, infrared sensing and 2600 DPI resolution should be high enough to satisfy many gamers, maybe not the hardcore twitch variety. But for desktop app use, sometimes dropping to 1800 and 1300 DPI (depending on screen size) with the pointer’s acceleration sensitivity to the minimum (maximum threshold before accelerating) will help you improve slow speed accuracy. Browsing hyperlinks on a 2k screen is fine for me at 2600 DPI, but sometimes I need something lower for letter-precise aiming in editing text.
The main buttons, including an ingenious middle button that’s not forced to reside as the wheel, are considered to be a very light touch by a reviewer, but I measure left and right actuations at approximately 40 grams of force. I suppose knowing membrane switches can start down as soft as 25 gf should have taught me to take subjective anecdotes with a grain of salt. It feels as firm as many mouse buttons do. The clicky sounds are definitely pronounced. The wheel in between the left and middle button can be spun more quickly by operating it with the index and middle fingers.
Tilt-to-move works like a charm and it’s possible to move the mouse’s body and not upset the screen blanker, thanks to an angled foot. Just follow the instructions on the insert. Although, it’s not as reliable as a serious gaming mouse, which shouldn’t even register 1/16000th inch of movement, for example.
The highly mounted top thumb button (9 cm off the surface!) is easily struck if you’re switching your hand from an unsplit keyboard on the left by touch for the first few days. So make sure it’s not set to something that performs an irreversible action. It’s the ‘back’ button by default and I have to watch out for it typing this review in a web browser. That’s not an issue if you place your mouse in between split keyboard halves or in front of it.
Before this review sounds like a shill, I am peeved this costs as much it does, and there are seldom sales nor used units available. And with reviews of low durability too, leaving me wondering if there are better values out there competing for Evoluent’s mindshare and rank. And it costs more than many wired gaming mice which represent the pinnacle of performance, convenience and endurance, not that those should be the definitive benchmark for this market. But I’d have to conclude with so much product design executed well, we are getting what we pay for. And at least we get a gaming grade sensor that proves to be a very accurate tracker, even without a good gaming mouse pad.
Hint: If you have to temporarily go left-handed, the thumb buttons can be programmed as left/right buttons and the mouse still operates comfortably, vertically and functionally.
Top quality vertical mouse, but not cheap
If you suffer from RSI/joint pain or trigger finger in your right hand, this mouse is ideal to avoid further agrovation. It has more than enough programmable controls. The 3 mouse buttons can be a little difficult to get used to having the “right click” mouse button under your 4th finger.
A few times reaching across my desk for something, I’ve caught the top “back” button of mouse as I’m still not used to the height of the mouse as compared with my old horizontal unit – I just have to get used to lifting my arm a little higher!
This is a well made unit, a little expensive but has worked faultlessly since arrival and was simplicity to pair up. It’s rather “fatter” than many other vertical mouses which makes it more comfortable to use. One tip – if you reach the left-hand limit of your desk surface and need to physically reposition the mouse back to the right of your desk, tip the mouse over onto its right-hand edge and slide it over the desk; this avoids having to physically having to pick ithe mouse up risking inadvertent button pressing in doing so.

I’ve been using this mouse for some months now and it’s been very comfortable to use. I bought it because I had a problem with my shoulder muscles later diagnosed as frozen shoulder. It may look bulky but it is far more natural a position for the wrist and very easy to get used to. After months of use 4-5 days per week, I’ve had no problem with my wrist or shoulder muscles. There are times when the wireless plays up and a battery change does not sort this, so I would advise keeping an alternative mouse available when this happens, and certainly a spare battery. Overall, I’m very pleased with it, and it is actually very smart.
So long repetitive strai
Life changing mouse! Love that you can switch through tabs, close files, turn a double click into one click etc all at the touch of a mouse. So comfortable too, my repetitive strain is no more with this beauty!
Great wired mouse
I use to have the wireless Evoluent mouse. That thing is crap. The cursor would constantly jump all over the screen or freeze up on Windows 10. So I went for the wired mouse. Much MUCH better. I tried out other vertical mice, but they were all too small for my hand. This is the best one I found out there.
Definitely recommend.

C4est la deuxime que j’achte. la premire a 5 ans environ et j’en suis trs content mme si la molette quelque problme.
la nouvelle marche aussi trs bien l’une est sur un PC W7 32bits et l’autre sur un pc W10 64bits et aucun problme de fonctionnement.
le paramtrage des bouton est hyper simple et trs pratique (pour moi copier avec le petit doigt et coller avec le pouce gnial!)
et je n’ais plus jamais eu mal au poignet et au coude depuis ce premier achat. Donc pour moi un trs, trs bon achat.
le seul point un peut ngatif c’est son prix qui est tout de mme trs lev.
Ich habe diese Mouse bestellt, da ich seit ber einem Jahr an einem “Tennisarm” leide. Mich haben zahlreiche Recherchen zum Kauf gerade dieser Mouse veranlasst, um meinen Arm bei PC-Arbeit zu entlasten. Nach anfnglicher Umgewhnung (war schon sehr ungewohnt, die neue Stellung der Hand beim Klicken) merke ich eine deutliche Entlastung auch nach manchmal stundenlanger Arbeit am PC.
Einen Punkt Abzug gebe ich fr den Rechtsklick. Hier ist der Abstand zum Linksklick sehr gro fr mein Empfinden bzw. zur Handhabung der gewohnten Mouse. Manchmal muss ich noch suchen, um richtig zu klicken.
Ich empfehle die Mouse auf jeden Fall weiter, vor allem fr Menschen, die viel am PC arbeiten mssen. Hier ist sicher auch prventiv eine gute Mglichkeit, dass ein Tennis- bzw. Mousearm erst garnicht entsteht.
Insgesamt gebe ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung trotz der hohen Anschaffungskosten.
Vertical Maus VM4RW einfach supe
Nachdem ich schon seit einigen Monaten mit einer Vertikalmaus (EvoluentVM4RW mit Kabel) in der Firma arbeite und gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe, habe ich sie mir auch fr zu Hause gekauft (ohne Kabel). Ich komme mit der Maus super klar. Man sollte nicht erwarten, dass die Vorschdigungen, die man mit der Hand hatte (die ja zum Wechsel zur vertikal Maus fhrten), nur durch den Wechsel zur Vertikal Maus, behoben werden knnen. Dazu msste man schon den Gang zum Arzt wahrnehmen. Ich habe bei weiten nicht mehr die Probleme mit der Hand wie mit einer normalen Maus.
Amazing mouse
As I work 8+ hours a day behind a computer I started to develop some minor pain in my right shoulder.
That’s when my employer equipped me with a Evoluent ergonomic mouse to solve this issue. I haven’t had any pain since and liked my new mouse so much I bought one for home use as well.
I don’t know what else I can say about this mouse, it’s just designed extremely well. My hand fits perfectly around it and rest comfortably around it thanks to the thumb rest. Also the six adjustable buttons will fit almost anybody’s needs.
I can definitely recommend this mouse for anyone looking for an ergonomic mouse.

Most comfortable mouse I've used.
After using one of these at work I decided to purchase one for home use. The mouse place the wrist in a more neutral position than a standard mouse which is much more comfortable. It is adjustable for sensitivity on the fly and works well on both a desk or mat. At first glance it may appear expensive but it’s well worth the money particularly if you suffer from wrist sensitivity, carpal tunnel etc.
Top quality mouse, let down by lack of software support for Mac users
Brilliant vertical mouse, helped enormously in getting rid of my RSI. I started with a cheap (fifteen quid) vertical model, which I liked but which did not have many programmable buttons – and this Evoluent one does. I use it every day and enjoy using it every day – it simplifies my work, has improved my RSI no end – what could be better?
I’ll tell you what could be better = the Mac software. Since I upgraded to High Sierra (OS X 10.13) the mouse refuses to wake up when the computer wakes from sleep. The only solution is unplugging it and replugging it, which is a bore. Many people suffer from the same, Evoluent announced that they are working on a fix – as from September 2017… No fix yet four months later.
High quality mouse, ft for purpose, but let down by software support for Mac users – one would expect better from an expensive quality product.

Hab die Maus auch im Betrieb und nun auch privat. Damit sind meine Schmerzen im Ellenbogen etc. stark zurckgegangen!
Die Maus funktioniert einwandfrei, ist gewhnungsbedrftig, da man die Bedienung erst “umsetzten” muss!
Habe auch andere, preiswertere getestet, gibt leider keine bessere wie die Evoluent!
Gute Form und Funktion, ungünstige Oberfläche
Pro:
– Top Ergonomie, leichter als erwartet und sehr gutes Handling.
– Luft auch unter Ubuntu/Linux ohne Probleme.
Contra:
– Leider ist das glatte Plastik im Daumen- und Fingerbereich kein Handschmeichler und ich habe noch nie eine Maus gesehen, deren Oberflche sich so schnell zusetzt (muss man fast tglich putzen).
– Das blau leuchtende Logo nervt auf Dauer, viel zu hell und aufdringlich
Schmerzfreies Arbeite
Da ich durch intensiver Arbeit mit einer normalen gnstigen Maus das RSI-Syndrom (Tennisarm/Mausarm) bekam, riet mir mein Physiotherapeut zu einer anderen Maus. Anhand von Rezessionen und Tests habe ich mir die Evoluent Maus gekauft. Mit Physiotherapie und der neuen Maus habe ich nun keine Schmerzen. Sie liegt gut in der Hand und man kann sich sehr schnell daran gewhnen. Ich finde sie einfach nur super.
Good for RSI but not gaming
Only took a little while to get used to it. RSI pain now not evident after using this mouse for 4 weeks. Not too good for serious gaming as tracking does not seem very good – it cannot handle my mouse-mat’s graphics (Alien/Dell mouse mat) which my Xornet II mouse has no problem with.

Very good bought because have carpel tunnel I have version 3 at work this version 4 feels the same only difference are the cool colored lights, I don’t have the numbness and tingling in my fingers (had 3 injections in wrist so far) anymore plus my now husband uses this mouse with no problems. I would recommend this product.
I waited too long to purchase this mouse. My shoulder had been bothering me for MONTHS and my friend kept telling me it was from using a regular, flat mouse. I finally broke down and purchased this mouse and couldn’t be happier. Yes, it does change the position of your arm so you’re not twisted and yes it does work properly. Using the three buttons takes some getting used to but, overall, this is a great product. On the expensive size for, well, a mouse, but I’d say it’s worth it because it reduced the pain in my right shoulder. I’d recommend this mouse, absolutely.
Great for those with arthritic hands
Great for those with arthritic hands. Easy to use without manipulating the thumb. Easy to programme too. Sometimes it seems to stop working, but all you do is unplug and replug the wireless dongle. Well worth the money.

The Evoluent VM4R mouse is a great ergonomic solution for people, such as myself, that are experiencing persistent wrist or forearm pain. However, it’s quality of build is average (at best). In my case, the mouse that I purchased less than a year ago is now malfunctioning. It now intermittently double-clicks when you mean to be single-clicking, making navigating and completing tasks a frustrating exercise.
The mouse also seems to collect all sorts of gunk on the buttons, which is odd as I’ve never had a mouse do that before. See attached photos. It needs to be cleaned every week or so. Every week I clean it, and then it simply reappears. I wash my hands frequently. I’m not sure how to avoid it- maybe wear gloves?
For the past 10 months when it worked well the Evoluent was a fine solution and did indeed reduce my wrist pain. Perhaps yours will do better, but for the premium you pay for this mouse, I expected more than 10 months of use before it crapped out on me.
POST-WARRANTY EDIT
After shipping the mouse back for repair (at my expense), I received either a new or refurbished mouse within 7 days. Aside from having to pay for the shipping, I am happy for the quick turnaround time. My issue has been resolved.

Funktioniert gut, mit kleinen Schwäche
Die vertikale Maus ist tatschlich ein groer Fortschritt fr das Handgelenk.
Weniger gut an dieser Ausfhrung finde ich die nervigen, sehr prominent platzierten Lampen. Vor allem die Lampe unten frontal mit dem Logo der Firma ist vollkommen unntig. Ich habe einen Aufkleber darber geklebt. Meine Befrchtung, dass ich die Scrollgeschwindigkeit versehentlich mit dem Kippschalter unter den Fingern verndert knnte, hat sich nicht besttigt.
Leider braucht man ein spezielles Programm, damit man die Tasten programmieren kann. Meine neue Anti-Viren-Software scheint das Programm regelmig zu deaktivieren, so dass ich es wieder starten muss. Das ist schon sehr unpraktisch. Ansonsten kann ich das Gert empfehlen.
Moderate upgrade
An upgrade from the 3. Wheel is loads better, although ridged. Has a silly blue logo so no good at night if you sleep in the same room Also they have changed the default buttons around so unless you install the software, it does some odd things. Back button under the thumb is too easy to press. Disable it.
Easy to install
Easy to install. Love this mouse. I use it every day for work and it helps alleviate and prevent symptoms of tennis elbow and wrist pain. Could not live without it.
Not cheap but damned good
If you’re trying to cure, or want to prevent, any wrist issues, then this is great for taking strain off your forearm. If I had one minor suggestion it would be to have a scroll wheel freewheel button like the Logitech but you can click & drag the middle butto

Nachdem ich ein paar der neueren Rezensionen gelesen habe, muss ich nun eine versptete Rezension schreiben um meine Maus zu verteidigen.
Ich habe die Evoluent bereits 2014 gekauft und sie funktioniert immer noch tadellos. Ich habe eine echte Leidenszeit hinter mir, was Ergomuse angeht, und es waren durchaus ebenso hochpreisige oder teurere Muse dabei. Da ich gerne spiele, war es wichtig eine gute Funkverbindung zu haben. Hier konnte keine einzige der anderen Muse der Evoluent das Wasser reichen. Die meisten waren katastrophal. Die einzigen Male, da ich mit dieser Unterbrechungen hatte, war als die Batterien schwach wurden. Ansonsten meiner Meinung nach TOP.
Ah ja, vor ein paar Tagen hat sie mir pltzlich Doppelklicks pro Klick beschert, hab dann mal den Dreck aus den Ritzen rausgeputzt (naja, sind schon drei Jahre;)) und alles war wieder gut.
Hatte brigens Schmerzen im Unterarm und ganz schlimm in der Schulter, deshalb die Suche nach der Ergomaus. Muss jetzt wirklich mindestens 8 Stunden am Stck ununterbrochen spielen, um mal wieder ein wenig davon zu spren. Also klare Kaufempfehlung!
P.S.:ich habe ziemlich kleine Hnde und habe trotzdem diese Maus und nicht small genommen. War so ein Gefhl wegen der anderen Erfahrungen, fr mich wars die richtige Entscheidung.

Non varr 80 ma fin dal primo utilizzo mi sono trovato a mio agio. La grandezza giusta per la mano, non scivola e effettivamente affatica meno il polso.
Io non ho riscontrato problemi di imprecisione nei movimenti e nello spostamento del puntatore sullo schermo, anzi lo trovo molto preciso.
Ich arbeite in der IT-Branche und sitze deshalb 6-7 Stunden tglich vor dem Rechner. Angeschlossen sind meist zwei Monitore.
Gekauft habe ich diese Maus im Juli 2011, nachdem ich zuvor an den typischen Mausarm-Beschwerden gelitten hatte.
Und tatschlich: Meine Beschwerden wurden schon nach einigen Wochen deutlich besser, insofern hat sich der Kauf auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
An das – im Vergleich zur Standardmaus – unterschiedliche Handling mu man sich natrlich erstmal gewhnen, aber nach 1-2 Wochen war es fr mich kein Problem mehr. Auch meine Bildschirm-Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit wurde nicht negativ beeinflut, ich mute allerdings die Einstellungen der Maus (Zeigergeschwindigkeit/-beschleunigung/Klickgeschwindigkeit) in der Systemsteuerung etwas anpassen.
Sehr erfreulich: Nach fast 6 Jahren funktioniert die Maus mechanisch/elektrisch immer noch wie am ersten Tag. Die Optik hat etwas gelitten (die Silberfarbe an der Griffmulde ist mittlerweile abgewetzt), aber damit kann ich leben.
Insgesamt ein Kauf, den ich nicht bereue.
Ich habe mir vor einigen Tagen diese Maus bestellt, weil ich Arthritis habe und deswegen Probleme mit den Handgelenken und Sehnen in der Hand. Ich sitze im Schnitt 8-10 Stunden am PC. Ich habe mich sehr schnell an die Handhaltung gewhnt und konnte sofort weiter arbeiten. Kein Installieren von Treibern unter Windows Server 2012 notwendig.
Pro:
– die Small Version passt auch fr kleine Hnde und alle Tasten sind erreichbar ohne dass man sich den Arm oder die Hand verdrehen muss.
– einfache Installation
– sieht sogar ein wenig stylisch aus, wobei das fr mich kein Kriterium war. 🙂
Contra:
– der Preis von >80 Eur ist schon schwer zu schlucken
– die Daumenablage wird recht warm, wie schon andere Rezensenten bemerkt haben – da werde ich mal sehen wie sich das im Dauereinsatz weiterentwickelt. Ntigenfalls muss ich dnnes Moosgummi drberkleben.

Am on the computer 7 hours a day and previously suffered terribly from tendinitis. The angle of this mouse means I don’t get any pain at all. Would definitely recommend.
Only problem with this it’s my second one as the receiver broke on the first as there’s no where in the design to slot it into the main mouse like other models when carrying from work to home. There was no way to replace the receiver so had to buy the whole thing again, so costly. Tried a few cheaper alternatives but come back to this one because the alternatives don’t quite the angle right and the arm pain came back.
Hatte frher immer Vorbehalte gegenber vertikalen Musen. Als bei mir vor mehreren Monaten Beschwerden im Ellbogen auftraten (ein sogenannter Golfarm) riet mir mein Arzt allerdings dazu. Und nun nutze ich bereits seit vielen Wochen beruflich und privat die Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4.
Die Umgewhnung hat keinen Tag gedauert (sitze beruflich viel am PC). Die Maus liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Die Daumenablage empfinde ich als sehr angenehm. Die Finger findet die Tasten wie von selbst. Das Rad zum Scrollen lsst sich einfach und leicht drehen.
Zur Programmierung der anderen Tasten, die die Maus hat, kann ich nichts sagen, da ich das bislang noch nicht ausprobiert habe. Die vorgegebene Belegung passt sehr gut.
Ich habe das Modell jetzt schon zwei mal gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden. Sie ist recht schwer was manchen evtl. nicht zusagt.
Fr mein Empfinden wirkt sie aber gerade dadurch sehr werig verarbeitet.Woran man sich gewhnen muss ist auerdem, dass die obere Taste die linke und die unterste die rechte Maustaste ist. Bei mir konnte man das auch mit dem Treiber von der Website nicht umstellen. Ich hab mich aber auch nicht so arg bemht da es mich nicht strt. Wenn dass fr Sie ein Problem darstellen knnte sollten Sie sich da evtl. noch nher informieren.
An sonsten super! Ich sitze deutlich aufrechter am Schreibtisch und habe keine Gelenkschmerzen mehr !

I was experiencing wrist pain and this is a welcome change of pace. I have small hands, and this size is comfortable for me. Could use a wrist rest with it though (a little height is good for this), but no complaints. My accuracy goes down a touch given that I click and it *may* move a little, but it's easy to get used to and I definitely like it.

Bonne souris ergonomique
Cher au premier abord, cette souris est parfaite pour rduire le mal de bras. Je ne l’ai que depuis peu mais j’ai dj senti les effets positifs. En plus, elle a beaucoup de boutons. confirmer sur le long terme.

The only downside, so far, is that it tends to move too easily so slips out of your hand. I would prefer a ‘rubberised’ finish to help stop this.

If you have big hands and have a desk job/prolonged hours at a desktop, you must get one of these.
I’ve used the cheaper models sold on amazon but they are small and are not fully vertical.
This thing is by far the biggest wrist/forearm saver that I’ve used. Zero issues now when on the computer.

Compr este ratn por un problema en la mano y la verdad es que me ha resultado de mucha utilidad. Tiene un manejo sencillo y te haces a l enseguida. Es cmodo y gil y la posicin de la mano es buena. Ha mejorado la posicin del brazo y ha disminuido el dolor considerablemente.

Ich habe mir diese Maus auf Anraten meines Osteopathen gekauft. Ich muss sagen, sie ist im ersten Moment etwas ungewohnt, aber die Armstellung fhlt sich irgendwie “richtig” an. Denke, ich bekomme sie schon in den Griff, ist wie bei fast allem eine Frage der Gewohnheit.
Was mir nicht so gefllt ist, dass die Tasten sehr leicht gehen und man kaum einen Druckpunkt sprt. So habe ich schon des fteren die Tasten ausgelst ohne es zu wollen. Mit einem dnnen Streifen Schaumstoff im Schlitz zwischen Taste und Chassis passt es jetzt fr mich — ist halt etwas schade, dass man bei diesem Preis noch etwas “nacharbeiten” muss.
Der Download der Software und die Installation liefen an meinem Mac problemlos. Ebenso die Einstellung der Tastenbelegung. Hier bietet die Maus auch sehr viele Mglichkeiten, was mir gefllt.
Ich habe mich fr die Kabelversion entschieden, da ich zum einen gelesen habe, dass die Bluetooth-Verbindung manchmal Probleme bereiten knnte und zum anderen, weil ich dieses leidige Batterien-/Akkuproblem nicht haben wollte. Zudem glaube ich, dass die Bluetooth-Variante eben wegen der Batterien auch schwerer ist.

Having completely broken my ulna and radius a few years back and now having 40 hour as a graphic designer my arm was under some serious strain.
After doing some research this mouse came top of my findings and has really helped with reducing the pain, giving your arm a more neutral positioning relieves pressure while you work.
Fantastic purchase, the only negatives I have would be some of the aesthetics, the chrome, light up text and purple body don’t do it for me but other than that it’s perfect.
I am 56, and work in full-time administrative role requiring me to use a computer all day. I had been using a normal mouse for years, with no problems. However, I started getting stiffness in the middle joints in my fingers a few months ago. I went to the doctor, had a blood test to rule our rheumatoid arthritis (which it did) and the only conclusion was that I had RSI. I was advised by my colleague to book an appointment with the health person in HR at work. I did this, and my IT department provided me with an Evoluent mouse. To say I hated it at first is an understatement. I was thinking “No way will I ever get used to this!” However, somebody else at work who had been provided with the same mouse said that I needed to persevere, so I did. I had to admit, it caused no pain in my hand as the regular mouse had done, but I found it very hard to use accurately. I decided to initially keep both the Evoluent mouse and the regular mouse so I had a choice. I was slow with the Evoluent mouse so made a point of using it for just a part of each day. I did this for about two weeks, and gradually I found I was using the Evoluent mouse more and more, until one day I realised I hadn’t used the regular mouse for a whole day. At that point, I gave the regular mouse back to IT. I have now fully adjusted and find the Evoluent mouse as easy to use as the regular mouse, but now I’m comfortable so it’s finally become a win-win situation. My fingers no longer click or give me pain, and in the end, I actually found that when I was using my computer at home, I found I was missing my work Evoluent mouse. I only use my home laptop for personal use, so obviously I couldn’t ask work for another Evoluent mouse for home. I therefore decided that to have the same comfort at home for 80 was well worth it, and I have therefore purchased the same mouse for myself to use at home, and I am very happy that I have done so. Please note this is a completely unbiased review, I’d never even heard of ‘Evoluent’ before getting the mouse at work.

Die Evoluent Vertical Wireless Maus unterscheidet sich durch ihre ergonomische Form deutlich von anderen Musen und Trackballs. Durch den guten optischen Sensor und die stabile Funkverbindung liefert die Maus zustzlich natrlich auch die ntigen Ergebnisse, um im Broalltag zu berzeugen. Als Gaming-Maus fehlen aber die ntige Przision sowie die zustzlichen Tasten, die bei einer Gaming-Maus nicht fehlen drfen.

Basta provarlo per pochi secondi e poi tornare ad un mouse classico per capire il sollievo che questa conformazione d al polso: lo si sente molto pi rilassato e quasi ci si scorda di usarlo dopo pochi minuti di adattamento.
Si presenta di bell’aspetto e curato nei dettagli.
Al tatto non mi ha dato subito l’impressione di essere pi solido di altri ma dopo mesi di utilizzo continuo mi sono ricreduto, funziona ancora tutto alla perfezione, anche il tasto pi sollecitato (quello in alto, corrispondente al tasto indice).
Noto per che il rivestimento di materiale vellutato (quello che costituisce il “corpo” del mouse che accoglie il palmo della mano) con l’utilizzo si sta logorando, ed in un punto ormai arrivato alla plastica “viva” (la classica nera cui siamo abituati).
Considerato il costo del prodotto credo sarebbe gradita una maggior resistenza di questa parte, tuttavia le 4 stelle sono meritatissime visto la funzione principale che di salvaguardare la salute del braccio per chi utilizza molto il mouse.

Compre este producto porque empec a tener dolores en la mano derecha. Yo trabajo unas 9horas diarias en el ordenador y quera probar con un ratn diferente a ver si mejoraba. Acostumbrarme no fue difcil, el primer da ya me manejaba bastante bien,aunque es normal no sentirte igual que con un ratn normal ya que llevo muchos aos utilizando el otro sistema. Sin embargo estoy muy contenta con la compra, tengo menos dolores y creo que con el tiempo me llegar a sentir igual de ‘comoda que con los ratones tradicionales.
J’avais achet chez AMAZON une souris verticale moins chre qui hlas n’a dur que 3 mois et qui aprs retour m’a t rembourse.
J’ai alors recherch sur internet les avis sur les souris de ce type pour ne pas faire 2 fois la mme erreur et la EVOLUENT tait classe dans les 5 meilleures souris ergonomiques verticales.
Le look et la manire dont la main se positionnait m’ont parus bien conus.
Il est vrai que mettre un prix lev pour une souris ne parat pas ncessaire mais on comprend la diffrence avec celles proposes un cot infrieur.
Tout d’abord, elle est trs facile d’emploi, mon PC l’a tout de suite installe ; les doigts trouvent parfaitement leurs places, moi, comme j’ai une grande main donc j’ai pris le grand modle, sinon elle existe en plus petit format ; elle possde un bouton en dessous pour tre teinte le soir : cela n’a l’air de rien mais l’conomie des piles c’est toujours intressant ( l, il n’y en a qu’une seule ).
Aprs un petit temps d’adaptation, on se rend compte que ce type de souris soulage vraiment le poignet et les tensions des paules; mon ostopathe m’avait conseill de laisser ma souris traditionnelle et je ne regrette pas, c’est bien plus agrable.
C’est une souris haut de gamme et je ne pense pas devoir en acheter une nouvelle de sitt !
Genau was ich brauchte!
Vorweg wieso ich das Gefhl hatte, diese Maus zu brauchen: Ich arbeite fr mein Studium fast ausschlielich am Rechner und auch meine Freizeit verbringe ich sehr viel vor dem Gert.
Nachdem meine alte Maus so langsam den Geist aufgab hab ich natrlich die blichen Gamingmuse in Betracht gezogen, welche sich ja auch ergonomisch schimpfen und fr meine Zwecke durchaus gut gewesen wren: zustzliche Tasten, optionale Gewichte.
Mit diesen beiden Dingen kann die Evoluent (leider?) nicht aufwarten, aber das nehme ich gerne in Kauf, denn:
Diese Maus ist fr mich die Krone der Mausschpfung. Meine Mutter gab mir den Tipp, nachdem sie sich, aufgrund einer Sehnenscheidenentzndung, das Linkshndermodell gekauft hatte. Und auch, wenn ich noch keine akuten Probleme hatte merkte ich schon beim ersten Anfassen der Maus, wie viel entspannter der Arm ist.
Nach kurzer Eingewhnung (bei mir hat’s etwa eine Stunde gedauert) fhlt sie sich nicht mehr wirklich anders an, als eine “normale” Maus, lediglich der Arm dankt es einem ungemein.
tl;dr: Groartige Maus, viel entspannterer Arm, besonders fr Leute die viel am Rechner sind zu empfehlen.
This is my second Evoluent mouse as my other one was showing signs of dying after around 6 years of daily use. I used to get very tired and a rather sore wrist/arm using a conventional mouse but the Evoluent stopped this as the position of your lower arm is in a natural position and the radius and ulna are not twisted, which happens when using a regular mouse. Took me about an hour to get used to the L/R clicks and the scroll wheel being on the side and I have no disadvantages when playing computer games! You can also custom assign the various buttons if you wish.
I use the wired version as it’s easier for me to take away with me if I’m using another computer. Yes they are a bit on the pricey side but hey if you are using it on a daily basis, what’s not to like? I also recommended it to my chiropractor who thought it was simply marvellous and now has them on his practice computers.
Very comfortable, pain free computing
I’ve been experiencing pain in my hand for a few weeks now, my sister told me that it was RSI and that I should look at this product as she uses it in her workplace and had never had issues. Today has been my first day using it and I’ve got no pain in my hand at all, getting used to the extra mouse button, but with the help of the software that you can download from their site, the buttons can all be set to personal preference, so this shouldn’t be an issue.

Das ist schon die dritte MAus aus dem Hause Evoluent, die ich mir zugelegt habe, jedoch die ersten kabellose. Habe bereits eine an meinem Arbeits-PC, eine an meinem Privat-PC und nun wollte mein Kind auch eine Evoluent Maus haben. Anfangs etwas ungewohnt, danach aber sehr hand- / armschonend. Einen kleinen Minuspunkt muss ich dennoch loswerden: Die Treibersoftware ist leider nur in Englisch. Man wei, was gemeint ist, aber die Software sollte schon in Deutsch sein. Dennoch wrde ich 5 Sterne geben.

Great to use, but NOT great build quality.
The mouse is great from a comfort and usability point of view. I couldn’t fault how it is to use, however the build quality isn’t that great – I have had two and both only lasted a year and a half to 2 years. It is a shame that the high price doesn’t reflect the build quality of the components!

This is the second one I have had and I would highly recommend them as it helps my wrist, the only from the last one is that they have moved the middle button actions to the bottom one so this took a little while to get used to but other than that brilliant.
Ausgezeichnete Maus
Man muss sich an das Gert gewhnen: Anleitung lesen, ein paar Tage benutzen. Dann hat man ein neues “Mausgefhl”. Bequem, genau, gut verarbeitet. Die Treibersoftware ist viel besser als die von Logitech (die ich lange benutzt habe). Die deutsche Herstellerseite ist allerdings ein Witz. Sie erinnert an die Bedienungsanleitungen von Taiwan-Radioweckern aus den Neunzigerjahren. Also immer die englische Website nutzen, dann klappt alles.
Angenehm überrascht...
Ich habe mich von einem Leidensgenossen zum Kauf einer ergonomischen Maus entschieden, um die Schmerzen im rechten Arm loszuwerden. Zuerst wusste ich nicht, ob die kleinere Version ausreichen wrde, htte sie aber letztlich getauscht, falls meine Hand zu gro gewesen wre. Seit nunmehr einer Woche ist die Maus tglich 8 Stunden im Gebrauch (Bro/Computerttigkeit) und ich muss sagen, dass bereits nach dieser kurzen Zeit eine deutliche Besserung sowohl im Handgelenk, ausstrahlend zum Ellenbogen und letztlich Entlastung im Schulterbereich eingetreten ist.
Die Hand liegt entspannt und unverkrampft auf der Maus, der Daumen liegt in einer Mulde und dient als Fixierung, so dass die “Klickfinger” dadurch ebenfalls entspannt seitlich auf den Tasten liegen knnen.
Die Umgewhnung selbst hat nur wenige Minuten gedauert, so dass der Griff zur Maus nach kurzer Zeit vllig gewohnt erscheint. Durch die entspannte Handgelenkshaltung zieht sich die Entspannung bis hoch ins Schultergelenk.
Es gibt seitlich zzgl. Mausrad drei Klicktasten. Ganz kurz gewhnungsbedrftig ist, dass man die unterste (ganz rechts) Taste fr alle Rechtsklickoptionen benutzt (Kopieren/Einfgen etc.) Ansonsten ergonomisch ein Traum, stylisch finde ich die kleinere Version in der schwarz/lila Ausfhrung richtig schick, das Evoluent-Logo leuchtet grn, die Metallbeschichtung fr die Daumenmulde ist angenehm griffig, so dass trotz lngerer Daumenablage keine schwitzigen Hnde auftreten.
Es gibt noch die Mglichkeit, direkt an der Maus die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit (HI, MD, LO, XL) einzustellen. Ich habe MD fr mich gewhlt, so dass der Mauszeiger bei Bewegung der Maus nicht zu schnell ber den Bildschirm schwimmt, sondern noch als Pfeil erkennbar ist.
Fazit: Ob nun so ein Teil 80 wert ist, vermag ich nicht zu sagen, aber die Investition hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
Einleitung:
Ich habe mir alle vier Muse bestellt und ihre Handhabung sowie die erreichbare Genauigkeit getestet. Nach intensiver Nutzung einer normalen Maus (PC-Arbeit, PC-Spiele) habe ich einen ziehenden Schmerz (an den Sehnen?) auf der Oberseite des Unterarms ausgehend vom Handgelenk. Die Ergonomie/Handhabung der verschiedenen Muse habe ich somit auch bzgl. der Auswirkung der Stellung der Hand/Handgelenks auf diese Schmerzen getestet (BEACHTE: ich habe keine Langzeittest machen knnen, die Tests bezogen sich nur auf mehrere Minuten). Meine rechte Hand misst 18.5-19cm von Mittelfingerspitze-Handansatz sowie etwa 9cm Handflchenbreite.
Fazit:
Mit der Anker ist meiner Meinung nach keinem geholfen. Weder ergonomisch angenehm, noch erreicht man mit ihr eine Genauigkeit in der Bedienung wie mit einer konventionellen Maus. DeLUX ist gut, jedoch nur fr kleine bis mittelgroe Hnde geeignet. Beide Evoluent Muse sind von der Ergonomie gut / sehr gut (->ich bin auf die Langzeitwirkung-/verbesserung bei mir gespannt!). Die VM4RW fhrt eher zu schwitzigen Hnden (vorallem am Daumen), die VMCRW liegt irgendwie “natrlicher” in der Hand.
Man sollte am besten selbst verschiedene Muse testen! Mir war schnell klar, dass die Anker berhaupt nichts ist. Entweder will ich eine normale Maus und kann hochgenau Photoshop bedienen oder ich will eine Maus, die eine mglichst “natrliche” Handstellung bewirkt. Die DeLUX musste ich leider zurckweisen, weil sie zu klein fr meine Hand ist. Hier sollte es wie bei Evoluent verschiedene Gren geben. Dann wre sie ein echter Konkurrent zur VMCRW (vorallem im Preis!). Ich konnte mich sehr sehr lange nicht zwischen den beiden Evoluent Musen entscheiden. Ich bin mir immer noch nicht 100%ig sicher, ob meine Wahl die richtige war. Schlussendlich habe ich nun die VMCRW behalten. Sie fhlt sich ein bisschen besser an als die VM4RW. Man beachte aber, dass Evoluents C Reihe NICHT die 4er Reihe ersetzt. Es ist ein etwas anderer Schnitt. Ich wiederhole mich: am besten selber testen!

I know this is an expensive item but YOU WILL LOVE IT and your arm will thank you. I bought 5 of them — three of these purple corded ones from Amazon, and two wireless black ones from Apple, for my home, work, and my mom. I didn’t pay attention to size at first, and eventually realized that the black ones were WAY too large for my hand to operate. The small purple mice work flawlessly and frustration-free out of the box on Mac and PC. No more hurty hands after ridiculously long days at my desktop. 5 stars.
Imprescindible si trabajas 8 horas al da con un ordenador; hace unos aos tuve una tendinitis de trabajar todo el da con el ordenador; mejor gracias a este ratn, un buen teclado ergonmico y por supuesto ejercicios de estiramiento.
Lo bueno es que el segundo botn hace las veces del doble click, que es lo ms doloroso cuando tienes tendinitis.

ber die schonende Handhaltung braucht man nichts mehr zu schreiben.
Die Funktionen sind durch die Treiberinstallation auf alle Tasten einstellbar. Die Standardeinstellungen sind aber wie bei allen Musen schon vorgegeben.
Lediglich den Doppelklick habe ich auf eine Taste gelegt damit nicht immer die linke bermig verschliessen wird.
Der Treiber geht fr beide Arten, die Kabellose Maus sowie fr die Kabelmaus, da ich beide habe.
Die Kabellose schaltet nach dementsprechend eingestellten Minuten in eine Standbymodus, wo aber durch bewegen der Maus dieser nach einer Sekunde wieder regiert.
Eine Batteriesparung durch einen Ausschalter der Funkverbindung ist auch vorhanden und war fr mich auch Bedingung dieses Kaufs.
Die Kabelmuse von Evoluent habe ich nun schon ein paar Jahre und sie funktionieren noch wie am ersten Tag.
Diese Kabellose habe ich nun auch schon bestimmt ein 3/4 Jahr und ohne Probleme.
Sie kostet zwar gutes Geld, aber man bekommt auch was dafr, die Qualitt spricht fr den Preis. Andere Gamingmuse kosten auch ne Stange.
Ansonsten kann kann ich sie auf jedenfall weiter empfehlen.
Guter erster Eindruck, für größere Hände geeigne
Auf der Suche nach einer ergonomischen Maus habe ich auch dieses hochpreisige Modell getestet.
Der groe Pluspunkt dieses Modells ist, dass es auch fr grere Hnde geeignet ist. Die Hand passt gut zur Maus. Die Daumenablage ist hochwertig. Auch die Ablage fr den kleinen Finger wei zu gefallen.
Die Tasten sind angenehm leichtgngig und fr mein Empfinden auch relativ griffig, die Daumentasten gut zu erreichen. Allein das Mausrad ist mir persnlich einen Zacken zu schwergngig. Als dritte Taste (sonst Mausrad) hat das Modell tatschlich eine dritte Taste.
Fr den vergleichsweise sehr hohen Preis gibt es einen Minuspunkt.

Great mouse. It isn’t glitchy at all. This newer version is much better than the previous model as the thumb rest isn’t the same material as the rest of the mouse any more. The old one we had eventually just started peeling. This model is greatly improved.
My boss and I love this mouse. Once he started using it his shoulder pain disappeared. It takes about 1 day to get used to – give it a shot!!
Unter den Vertikalmusen gibt es nur ganz wenige, bei denen die Hand wirklich in einer natrlichen Handhaltung liegt, also richtig vertikal. Ich habe erst einige andere Vertikalmuse kaufen und zurckschicken mssen, um festzustellen, dass diese Muse nicht die Ergonomie bieten, die sie versprechen.
Diese Maus hier hat auch eine Schwche, aber die ganz groe Strke der ergonomischen Handhaltung ist voll gegeben.
Die Gre S passt mir deutlich besser als die regulre Gre, welche mir zu gro war. Von Mittelfingerspitze bis zum bergang Handballen zu Arm misst meine Hand insgesamt 18,5 cm und passt sehr gut. Fr grere Hnde wrde ich sie nicht empfehlen.
Die Beschwerden in meinem Handballen (Nervenentzndung) bin ich damit losgeworden. Andere Vertikalmuse haben mir nicht geholfen, weil sie nicht vertikal waren, sondern schrg, also irgendwo zwischen horizontal und vertikal.
Positiv:
– Wirklich vertikale Handhaltung im Vergleich zu anderen Vertikalmusen
Negativ:
– Die Gre S dieser Maus ist fr kleine Hnde konzipiert, die Maustasten wurden aber trotzdem so breit gelassen, dass man echt dicke Finger haben muss, damit der Zeigefinger nicht dauerhaft angespannt bleiben muss. Die ist nmlich verhltnismig weit oben platziert. Wenn ich meinen Zeigefinger entspannt auflege, liegt er genau auf dem Mausrad, also einen halben Zentimeter unterhalb der linken Maustaste, sodass ich nur durch zustzliche dauerhafte Anspannung an die linke Maustaste rankomme.
Esattamente quello che mi ci voleva
Cambiare un’abitudine pluridecennale come la posizione della mano sul mouse e` comunque uno choc. Ma dopo i primi 20 minuti dello choc resta solo il ricordo e la naturalezza della nuova posizione vi fa pensare a come avete fatto fino ad allora.
A vederlo sembra grande e “tozzo”, ma dopo averlo impugnato ci si rende conto che e` perfetto per il suo lavoro. L’aggiunta dei driver per la personalizzazione dei tasti supplementari ne fa un oggetto ormai indispensabile.
Solo una nota: concedetevi del tempo (una giornata lavorativa, grosso modo, a seconda della vostra manualita` e dell’intensita` d’uso) per riprendere la vostra consueta precisione di puntamento.
UPDATE: 6 anni dopo, leggo questa recensione e ne confermo ogni parola. Oltre a poter dire che la durata dell’oggetto e` eccezionale. Sembra ancora nuovo!
Diese Maus sollte an keinem Computer-Arbeitsplatz fehle
Nach kurzer Eingewhnung sind jegliche Entzndungen in den Hand- und Armgelenken (Mausarm), die durch
Vielbenutzung der platten Standard-Muse entstanden sind, wie weggeblasen.
Selbst relativ hoch aufgerichtete Muse anderer Anbieter kommen da nicht mit.
Denke mal, wenn Evoluent auf diese Maus-Ausfhrung kein Patent htte, wre die schon oft kopiert.
Jeder Gesundheitsverantwortliche in jedem Unternehmen sollte fr Computer Arbeitspltze diese Maus fordern.
Bis dahin muss man sich halt selbst damit versorgen.
Ich, meine Frau und Freunde, die diese Maus nutzen, sind beraus zufrieden.

Myself and my wife have used it for several months. I was sceptical at first but this is an extremely good product. The arm and wrist are now in a relaxed position. It is not until you try something like this that you realise how ridiculous the standard mouse actually is. Its not each but is really worth it if you use a mouse a lot.
Very nice, improvment but no miracle yet.
Meets my expectations. After 2 weeks, I would say that I still feel pain after a day at work, but less than before.
Would have been nice to be able to turn off the light, and the price is a little bit high for a mouse with nice option and a vertical design. But there is no technical revolution that explan 100$ more than a good mouse. I guess they have to pay doctors and ergonoms who worked on this design.
I didn’t try any other vertical mouse, but I adopted this one easily and would recommand it to anyone with pain when working on computer.
Also, this is a part of the solution, chiro or osteo will help, as working on you posture and take care of your alimentation (yes, very important to reduce acidity in your blood).
Sieht komisch aus, war aber die Rettung für meine Hände!
Ich arbeite tagtglich stundenlang am Computer und hatte irgendwann das Problem, was viele Schreibtischtter betrifft: Sehnenscheidenentzndung. Diese Maus war eine Empfehlung meiner Physiotherapeutin, bei der ich mehrere Monate in Reha-Behandlung war.
Ich fand das Produkt zuerst teuer, da ich noch nie so viel Geld fr eine Maus ausgegeben hatte, bin mittlerweile aber absolut berzeugt – genau genommen war ich das schon seit der ersten Woche der Nutzung.
Die Maus sieht zwar etwas klobig aus und fasst sich auf den ersten Griff merkwrdig an, aber schon nach wenigen Stunden hatte ich mich dran gewhnt und kann seitdem wieder schmerzfrei am PC arbeiten. Das war also wirklich die Rettung fr meine Hnde wie auch meine Berufsttigkeit berhaupt.
Einen Abzugspunkt gibt’s fr das Design – ich bruchte kein blau leuchtendes Evoluent-Symbol, find ich hsslich + strend – Geschmackssache halt.
Ansonsten ist die Maus top und auch nach ber einem Jahr Einsatz noch fit.

Really prompt delivery from amazon. Colour isn’t very black though, more a mid grey silver, so a bit fed up about that, I suspect they sent wrong one- but least of my worries – I need to keep working and the flat mouse I was using was killing me. given the pain I was in, colour is least of my worries.
Ergonomically very good (I was using an Anker upright mouse before that dies in a few months – rubbish) and already my wrist is a lot better (after two days). highly recommended.
good for RSI
Ofcourse it doesn’t really “fix” all medical issues you might have (e.g. RSI), I found that I can use this mouse much longer without any pain to my wrist. I have the old mouse connected too, in case someone else uses the computer – it takes some getting used to use a vertical mouse.
For gaming it’s not so well suited, but anyways: if you have problems with your wrist and hand, you shouldn’t game too much 😉
Compared to the V3 model, this one uses a different coating, which doesn’t get “sticky” after some time.
The programming of the buttons went fine too. I use the middle button to simulate the “wheel-click” and it works so much better (less effort) than actually clicking the wheel.
Better orientation for extended use
Still not quite used to the extra button, but I find this a much better position for my arm (‘normal’ mice require you to cross your radius & ulna to use them & this isn’t good posture-wise. Pleased with my purchase!

PD: Edito mi comentario tras 6 meses de uso. Cumple bien su funcin ergonmica pero la pintura se est cayendo en las zonas de apoyo de la mano, motivo por el cual reducir la nota, es un ratn de casi 80 euros con menos de un ao de uso y parece que tuviera 10 aos.

I could tell it was the perfect design for me
I have fairly large hands, this mouse fits perfectly. As soon as I unboxed it and gripped it, I could tell it was the perfect design for me. The whole thing can be reprogrammed. Even a non-techie could do it with the manager you can download. I’m going to be getting one for home and one for work eventually. The cord is plenty long enough, it reaches from my full-size office desk to the floor where the computer is located on the far left.
Only 1 con so far:
The scroll wheel is very stiff and hard to click with (handy for closing browser tabs). However, the good thing about this mouse is that you can reprogram each button as you see fit. I just told the middle mouse button to behave as a scroll wheel click.
[Update dec 14 2015] Mouse still works like brand new. The coating where your palm goes has started to come off a bit, though I’m not personally bothered by it. I’ve had it long enough now that’s it’s second nature to use. I can play games (fps, wow…etc) as if it was a regular mouse. I’m pretty rough on mice and this is still kicking. I usually go through about 2 mice a year.
[Update June 09 2016] Still works like new. Still gaming with it. My other one at work (bought around same time) still works like new as well.
Also ich habe diese Maus nun schon etwas ber 2 Jahre – das wei ich so genau, weil sie anfing, stndig Doppelklicks auszufhren, ohne dass ich dies wollte. Der Support antwortete mir prompt, mit dem Hinweis, dass meine Garantie abgelaufen sei und trotzdem einigen wertvollen Tipps, wie ich auf eigene Gefahr versuchen knnte, das Problem zu beheben – was dann auch super geklappt hat! Auch vor einem Jahr, als ich Verbindungsprobleme hatte (instabil), half mir der Support sofort aus und schickte mir einen neuen USB-Receiver. Der Support alleine verdient von mir also schon 5 Sterne.
Die Maus selbst liegt nach kurzer Eingewhnung gut in der Hand, auch ich habe eher groe Hnde (bin 1,90m) und die Fingerspitzen schauen ber die Maustasten hinaus, was aber berhaupt kein Problem ist. Meinen Mausarm habe ich jetzt weitgehend im Griff und es arbeitet sich mit dieser Maus jetzt genausogut, wie mit einer “normalen”. Von daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung und ich werde mir definitiv wieder eine Maus dieser Marke kaufen!

Seit ein paar Jahren in Benutzung und ich bin immer noch zufrieden. Erleichtert mir das Arbeiten am PC nach Bandscheibenvorfllen (HWS) und chronischen Schmerzen. Nach kurzer Umgewhnung fllt der Umgang damit sehr leicht. 🙂 Verblfft immer wieder die Kollegen 😉

Die frheren Modelle hatten Probleme bei manchen Tischoberflchen und funktionierten dann nicht richtig. Ich hab’ mir jetzt die 3. fr zu Hause gekauft und nun ist auch dieser “Fehler” ab Werk behoben.

One of the best handshake mice on the marke
If you’re looking for a handshake grip mouse, this is one of the best on the market. Once you get used to it it feels great, though expect to take a few days to adjust if you’re switching from a traditional mouse. One feature I love is that it’s possible to program the mouse to make it so holding down one button toggles the other buttons to perform a different function.
I have two minor complaints that aren’t enough to take away a star. One, the plastic surface of the buttons attract a lot of grime for some reason, but they are easily cleaned. Also, the scroll wheel button is too stiff, so it’s hard to click without shifting the mouse.
Ideal for the smaller hands of ladies and teens for whom the standard ‘Large’ version may be too big. Although male with moderately large hands, with the ‘Large’ version its controls were almost uncorfortably out of reach. With this version, they are well-placed.
Operation is extremely smooth on the desktop and the controls initially functioned very well and smoothly. However, after a couple of days, the user – with somewhat arthritic fingers and other related issues – was finding it increasingly difficult to control; sometimes things worked, but not always. Whether a problem with the mouse or personally is uncertain but, although less comfortable, working with another standard mouse is perfectly normal and feasible.
When ordered, the price of the model was rather less than is currently advertised, and therefore the value was substantially better at the lower amount. If a standard mouse is not what you require and you have the types of issues for which this type of design is ideal, then you will probably need to bite the bullet. You can find similar designs at far lower prices, but this is an instance where you definitely get what you pay for. The Evoluent products stand more than head and shoulders above the remainder.
Definitely helps
This mouse definitely helps with my carpel tunnel. I feel a lot less pain now and it feels uncomfortable to go back to another mouse after using this one for a while. It took me a week or two to get really used to the shape but then it was great.
I went with the wired version because I heard the wireless one had some connectivity problems.
I highly recommend this product, especially to anyone who has wrist or carpal tunnel issues. I noticed an improvement and lessening of inflammation within a week. It took a few days to get use to the different angle but now it seems normal. also like that I can change the buttons (i.e. choose what i want to be right, left or double click).

This mouse has been an absolute Godsend ! I started suffering from RSI and tried this. I must say it too about a week to get used to it. I am 3D styling so I sit in front of a computer for about 38 hours per day and I use all three butttons. On a normal mouse I use the index finger for the left mouse button and the middle finger for middle mouse button (or scrolly) and right button but with this I had to get used to using index for left, middle for middle and the ring and pinky for the right. (you can install the drivers so that the buttons are configured like a normal mouse but Ive found that this method utlises my fingers better so Ive stuck with it) Like I said it took about a week to get used to but I cannot stress how much of a difference it has made to my life. I can work all day with absolutely zero hand, wrist finger, muscle or any other pains or complaints.
The only reason why I have not awarded this product a full five stars is because after about four years the left mouse button sensor became faulty and when I clicked on it once it behaved as if it had been clicked multiple times. I contacted Evoluent but did not receive a reply. Seeing as there is nothing that can compete with this mouse I just bought another one. I do use my mouse a LOT, a lot more than an average mouse is used so I guess it has suffered but it just doesn’t feel as robust as a Microsoft mouse. If/when this one breaks I will buy another one.
Another great bonus is that a lot of people are amazed at the appearance of the mouse and often ask questions about it, they assume that I must be really good at my job (which I am) So it has the potential to provide many fascinating conversations, or if you can’t be bothered to do any work one day you can just squint your eyes slightly and look towards one of the top corners of your monitor while tapping the mouse. You’ll look like you’re thinking about a very complex mathematical equation and the tapping will draw attention to the mouse so everyone will just look at you and think ‘Wow, I wonder what time that handsome guy’s gonna solve the meaning of life’

This arrived this morning and so far so very good. It worked on my mac air immediately with zero install, and the download to set the buttons took two minutes and the choices are huge. It’s lighter than it looks, but that means it moves around easily – I was worried it would take some shifting across the desk. It’s also no way near as weird to use as I feared. The scroll wheel did seem further back than is comfortable at first, but tweaking how you hold the thing solves this. I imagine it’s more an issue if you’ve bought one too small for your hands. Go big. Button sensitivity is perfect, and all very well placed. I have been suffering with very bad RSI / TE – probably a mixture of both – for six months now and here’s hoping this helps, as my mac trackpad doesn’t seem to be: although it’s nice to have that on the left now to mix things up a bit. Will report back in a few weeks to see if this has helped my RSI.

The finish is terrible. It gets soft just from your hand oils and starts rubbing off after a year or so. I saw another review that said that alcohol would dissolve the finish, so after it started coming off, I used some alcohol on purpose to remove all the loose finish. The slick plastic that is under it actually feels nicer to me than the original finish. I don’t know why they felt the need to use such a terrible coating. It’s not like there aren’t finishes out there that can be in contact with hand oils and not dissolve.
2018 Update: It’s still running fine many years later, just “naked” plastic now instead of a matte finish. So it’s long lasting, other than the surface finish.
Good mouse for the right situatio
A good quality product and I can understand that it’s good for people with wrist problems. My own issue is tennis elbow, add to that I have large hands – I found that this mouse did not ease the TE and despite being the largest size Evoluent, it was still a tad small for my hands.
Another issue for me is that the right-click function isn’t the click-bar immediately below the scroll wheel (see pic), but the bottom one and as that was my little finger resting point, I was continually right-clicking unintentionally. possibly it can be re-programmed, but as the mouse was nmot helping my TE I decided to return without further ado.
It’s well made, the clicking is soft touch and gentle so you can inadvertently click too much, but you do get used to the lighter touch. It isn’t cheap by any stretch, so I’d only buy if I knew it would ease a physical condition (and if that’s a wrist problem, I would suggest checking the “Penguin” mouse – better IMHO).
Four stars though for a good product.

Bought it after having serious discomfort in my forearm and wrist. It seems to have worked well, and even though I was a little wary of the price if I can use the computer a lot (which I need to for work) and not have any pain then that makes it worth while in my eyes. Good product.
