Takes about half an hour to assemble — going at a fairly leisurely pace. And the instructions are easy to follow.
The individual panels aren’t that much more sturdy than a garden storage chest I bought at Lidl, for a quarter of the price. That said, this is three times the size, and I bought it at a deal price — so it probably works out at roughly the same cost overall. Plus, the pneumatic pistons, which hold up the lid, are a nice touch. And the whole thing feels fairly solid when fully constructed.
I intend to store a rather heavy garden shredder in this outdoor storage cabinet. But as the floor of this cupboard is a bit bendy, it really needs to sit on a very flat and solid base. Otherwise the doors twist out of alignment. Sitting it on a few well laid paving slabs or a 6-inch bed of scalpings should make it perfect for my needs though.
Good but a bit small
Good quality but they seem to have started making these smaller than they used to to save on production costs – it’s much smaller than the old one I had which was similar. Would prefer for them to go back to the old larger size and pay a bit more
Bought for a log store, friend came to help put it together 12th Dec. Box in tact though opened to find a piece from top right panel loose in box. I urgently needed this for log delivery so had to complete the build. We found the holes for screws were not all drilled. I request action in order to address these issues. I have photos but couldn’t upload.
Great storage unit for garde
Bought to house garden items in. Recently assembled even though got tail end of September.
Some of the holes aren’t predrilled which proved to have to wait till I sourced a drill as I pretty much assembled it together with a crosshead screwdriver. Assembling instructions easy to follow.
Might have to get a second one though to store kids bikes and scooters in.
Standing up to all our weather can throw at it!
Purchased to store garden furniture cushions, although it’s designed to house large wheelie bins. In fact it’s roomy enough to store not only cushions, but also several folding chairs, garden parasol, as well as several garden planters and some outdoor toys. And there’s still room for more!
I was a little dubious about whether it will protect everything from damp and mildew, but after several months of every possible weather condition, everything inside appears to be bone dry!
It was quite easy to assemble, and is very sturdy, but adding a shelf makes it more rigid. The lifting brackets keep the lid raised safely. It’s very secure with the addition of a padlock.
Definitely worth the money!
This was easy to assemble apart from the fact that most of the screw holes are not pre-drilled, and the screws do not tap into the plastic easily.
After spending 3 minutes each on a couple of screws at the back that were not tapping the plastic and slipping the drill/screwdriver (there are 18 to go in there!) I pre-drilled the holes with a 2.5mm bit but a 3mm would be fine too.
Once this was done the screws were pushed in within a few seconds each.
If I had pre-drilled from the start would have saved a fair bit of time and would be safer avoiding slippage.
Pros: Good design, easy to assemble by carefully following the printed instructions and diagrams included.
Cons: Keter packaging at the manufacturers needs better monitoring.
This was a replacement for my first order that had damaged areas on three of the panels when unpacked.
The replacement had a kinked and bent metal stiffening bar that I had to straighten before assembly.
In both instances the outer packaging was in very good condition with no visible damage or bruising.
Which indicates that the damaged items were factory packaged in that condition. – Keter Take Note!
Not bad...
Got this slightly discounted and due to that reason is why I gave it 4 stars. At full price I would of scored lower. Overall its ok, doesn’t feel as sturdy as the bigger Keter storage boxes. Its pretty simple to put together, doesn’t take long at all. If you have to pay full price I’d suggest paying extra for the bigger box. Only real disappointment for me was that it came with the wrong end plate for the lid, like getting 2 left shoes, as I didn’t notice I tried forcing it in and cracked my lid. My fault as I should of double checked but then you don’t expect to get the wrong part sent. Overall its ok, if you are just putting your wheelie bins in it then its great, I use it to store other stuff and it should be fine, just try and get it at a discount for better value.
I have purchased the shed to house two adult bikes as we have just moved and now have only front access so the bicycles needed secure and weatherproof storage.
My shed arrived with all parts and no breakages etc.
I selected the free build with my purchase and I was pleased with that decision.
It took two people about an hour (and they had built many of these). They advised it would have taken me two hours or more on my own – be prepared!
I chose not to buy the padlock recommended for two reasons – that others previously had not recommended what they received (check other reviews) and that I preferred to ‘visually’ inspect and choose a good product at a local store. I am pleased with my decision.
I have found the structure to be solid and substantial, no issues there.
I have one cautionary note that is not addressed in the description, but was mentioned by the installation team.
We have a sloping drive and if the shed is placed on a slope, there are issues.
If placed sideways downslope, the doors will not come together level because the hinge positions at each end are obviously at different heights – depending on the angle of slope you may not be able to close the bolt and secure the shed.
We have our shed across the slope, the doors align and can be bolted securely.
However, because of the slope from back to front as we face downhill, the bicycles continually fall over. It is frustrating to get them in and they are usually half over when I come to get one out. It can be awkward.
I will be looking to support the bikes with bricks or timber to hold them up. If this doesn’t work, I may buy a stand to hold them with.
So overall I am pleased with the product but it requires a level surface if you’re storing bikes.
Keter have a problem; they create several versions of the same item – presumably using different standards of materials – and give them various names. To make sense of this during my pre-purchase research I took to creating a list of them and their dimensions. Thus, I settled on this model (Store it out Pro) as the one that most closely matched my needs of space, quality, and price.
As with all items of this ilk individual components tend to feel a little lightweight to be strong and secure, but once combined using the relatively clear visual instruction guide they become much more stout.
Using the aforementioned instruction sheet, I took my time and completed the construction in a little over 20 minutes. This included having to dismantle and re-hang the first of the doors as I realised that I had hung it upside-down. This task was a little easier said than done, but indicated to me that any would-be garden implement thief would give it up as a bad job should they try to get in by removing the doors!
The result of my labours is a smart, clean looking space, that offers plenty of weatherproof storage for the bits and pieces we use in the garden, that I have secured with a quality padlock through the solid loop included with the box.
Whilst the lock is an additional purchase, Keter do include the fixings to connect the lid to the lids of wheelie bins to create an automatic bin-lid-opener type thing.
I don’t keep my bins in ours, so I have been able to make use of the purpose built-in shelf supports at either side of the box that enable a suitably cut piece of timber to be added to the rear wall of it. This shelf makes good use of the huge space within.
Fair warning: the shelf is not included and does not run from front to back, but the clearly indicated supports allow for a shelf that is up to half the depth of it.
Ideally the box should be kept on a level or almost level surface – too much variation will cause the finished product to twist and distort, and may cause the doors and latching and locking provisions to be misaligned.
So, to sum up:
Is the box fit for purpose? Yes
Is it usable space? Yes
Was it difficult to build from flat-pack? No
Is it easy to move both within packaging and once built? For two people, yes; for one person, no.
Was it easy to put together by one person? Yes
Can it be secured to the ground for storm-proof wind protection? Yes
Is it smart looking? Yes
Does it look cheap? No
Do I believe it to be secure? Yes, although a well-equipped, determined thief will make their way in but that can be said for most materials.
Am I pleased with the purchase? Yes
Would I buy more from Keter? Yes
Would I buy another of these? Yes
Do I recommend it? Yes
Does it offer value for money? Yes
For than happy with this storage containe
More than happy with this storage container found it reasonably easy to assembled and had no problems with any damage or parts missing and definitely thinking about purchasing a second one
Great storage/bin store
Ordered this for our bins even though there were a couple of negative reviews.
Glad I decided to order it as it is great
It arrived on time and really well packaged up. All pieces were intact and no damage. Followed the instructions supplied and me&my husband put it up in just over an hour. Our bins are now housed in it and it looks nice&tidy on our driveway
Would deffo recommend
Good value solid storage
Used this to store linen for a B&B. Holds a huge amount. Solid. Good value. Spacious. Gas hinges hold roof when raised. Very happy. Took an hour to put together. Tip: make sure you put the door on the bottom hinge BEFORE inserting top hinge into body of wall or it’s really difficult to take top hinge out to rectify.
Read the instructions before 'guessing' and it will be easy. Customer service top experience <3
one door of the shed arrived damaged – the little hinge was broken. I emailed the company, they emailed back in 24 hours and in 3 days I had a replacement.
The shed is very good quality and does the job – you can lock it easily using a padlock, it is very spacious and waterproof.
When putting it together – skim through all the steps before you get into action – if you skip something, you will end up swearing a lot 😀 if you follow the steps – it is all easy. I am planning to buy another one
Useful if not super robus
I have found this storage unit super useful for keeping low value garden stuff in as well as old boxes and overflow recycling. The construction and lock wouldn’t keep a thief out for 30 seconds in reality. It’s cheap – but if that’s what you want (and I did) then it fits the bill perfectly. If you are planning to keep anything remotely valuable in it maybe reconsider.
Perfect Bin Storage
This is a very good buy. Very well made, easy to assemble and provides a nice looking bin storage for two good sized household bins. It has some great little features such as foot operated lock, gas strut hold the lid open and also has the option of the bin lids opening as the lid opens. Can be bolted to the floor.
Large and solid
Leave an hour or two for assembly (not difficult if you pay attention to the instructions) and you’re left with a large, very solid storage box. We use it for our bin bags and assorted rubbish and are very happy.
The lid lifts and stays up making access from above easy. The doors lock with a padlock (not supplied) if needed.
If you have wheelie bins the attachments open their lids when lifting the storage box lid. Nice!
Very good compact storage solution.
After reading the reviews about damage to parts of this unit during the delivery process I decided to take my chances. Sure enough the two side panels were damaged. However it looked a good unit so contacted Keter directly about replacement panels. All they asked for was photos of the damage and new panels were sent immediately. These arrived well cushioned and undamaged. The storage unit was very easy to put together and I added extra shelving which also made it more sturdy. It has been waterproof and looks good in the area it stands. The top did bow after a few days but I weighted it down either side for a week which cured this. Overall very happy with the unit and service from Keter. It has a 2 year warranty also.
Really impressed!
Wanted something waterproof to store my lawnmower and scarifier in, this one was an ideal size. I found it easier to fit all the small items before it was built. Definitely needed a drill to make some holes, but found it really easy to put together. Love the little hydraulic rams that hold the lid up, good value, and great peace of mind to know the items stored inside it are dry.
Brillia
Needed something to keep the bins stored away and still look tidy on the drive, honestly looks good keeps the elements out. instructions are a bit confusing/ unclear in places and it is a bit fiddly job putting together but highly recommended.
Great Garden Storage box or Shed as they prefer to call it.
Easy to put together and creates a great storage space in the garden. a cordless Drill/Screwdriver usefully employed as there were a lot of screws. Relieves the pressure on my main shed at a reasonable price. Very smart to look at. May well get another. Haven’t decided yet.
Read instructions
Does the job it was intended for. Only problem we had ( hubby NOT me ) was due to not reading instructions carefully and guessing , one side was attached and locked in place but in the wrong order . And its a killer trying to remove again !! So read and read again . But overall now it’s finished it looks tidy and is the ideal size for two wheelie bins with space for folded cardboard too .
Weatherproof
The first time we ordered it did not arrive, however, Amazon dealt with the matter swiftly and without question. The replacement arrived the next day. Assembly was relatively easy if you used common sense but the instructions were confusing and difficult to follow.
There was damage to the top edge on one side but we kept it anyway.
Outdoor storage
Once assembled and weighed down inside, have no cause to complain, easy to keep clean and so far rainproof. Couldn’t get on with the instructions and it was a windy day when we assembled it. So quite a challenge to bud. Well, we ended up paying a handyman to assemble it. Now it’s perfectly functional for our needs.
Budget storage that does the job
I think ‘budget item’ is a fair description despite its 150 price tag because it’s not especially sturdy; I’m not sure that using self-tapping screws directly into plastic is the most robust fixing solution and the doors in particular don’t inspire much confidence in the way that they close. It certainly wouldn’t deter a determined thief, even if a good padlock was used. That said, it’s weatherproof, an unobtrusive colour and there’s plenty of room for 2 large (240l) bins, which is what I needed it for. Assembly is pretty straightforward – if you can manage IKEA furniture, you can manage this. I pre-drilled small (3mm) holes to help the screws to bite, and this helped a lot. The instructions say 2 people are needed to assemble it but I managed on my own in about 90 mins, although it would have been a bit easier with help.
A satisfying result in the end - would recommend
Caution – check all parts are there. I bought 2 Keter products this one had the hinge broke of course (being novices) we had it half assembled before noticing. Amazon wanted us to take it down and return, so contacted Keter customer service about this and the summer seat I ordered & on checking the screws were missing.
Waited 1 month & I received an apology in delay in response and a new door has been ordered (although not available at the moment due to delays). I’ll keep you posted what happens.
**Update** Replacement door sent confidence in this company restored.
I have been & will continue to buy for this company. Would highly recommend
Handle carefully
Purchased two of these boxes to store garden tools , sun chairs and cushions. Assembly fairly easy but make sure you have a battery drill. When it came to fitting the doors, I realised one of the hinges had snapped off, wasn’t sure if I’d done it or it had broken in the box, but had to glue it (hot melt and super glue). Second box perfect, assembled in under an hour. Overall, very good size, easy assembly, ensure you check all parts before you start.
Looks good !
Just hate seeing the wheelie bins and have kept them at the side of the house, but this meant bumping them up and down steps. This sits happily at the end of the drive and a straight path to the road. Looks good from the window.
Excellent item
Fantastic item. Delivery took forever by Hermes although it stated next day delivery took about 10 days.
I can’t fault the item though. Strong, sturdy and very easy to assemble with click into place and about 30 screws to put in place.
Love the hydraulic lid hinges and the front locking fixes.
Weatherproof
I found this easy to erect. The storage unit came a box which was slightly damaged on the corner and having read some of the reviews(with regards to the panels being damaged on delivery) I checked it but found no damage. I have erected it without any help, it took around one hour to build. It is sighted at a static caravan site There is plenty of room in the unit for the chairs and other items for the beach so I am pleased with the purchase so far. I just need to see if it lasts.
Waterproof BBQ Storage
Bought this to store our BBQ in during winter. Have had it up for a (wet) week and so far the BBQ has stayed dry. Assembly took two of us about an hour and was straight forward. No broken or missing pieces. Added bonus: all screws were the same size. Very impressed with end result so far.
Very well priced from this supplier, this is my second purchase of the same item
Very well made and a robust construction a great outside storage facility for numerous items.
Easy to construct but my tip is, (1) Do not use an electric screwdriver as these strip the plastic easily when driving home the screws. (2) The use of a 3mm drill will assist assembly of the back section into the plastic body.
Does the job.
Have had a Keter shed for many years (it’s very sturdy), this storage unit is nowhere near as sturdy, however, it seems to do the job. Checked it out following a stormy night and it was nice and dry inside and all my contents were fine. I assembled the unit by myself but as the instructions state it would be easier with two. There are many screws suggest having a battery screwdriver to hand.
Absolutely love it on my balcony
Absolutely murder to build definitely need 2 people to guide to build this took a couple of hours as my drill died on us the result is absolutely perfect. Its so spacious and creates so much space living in a one bedroom apartment. Make sure you have a pair of strong hands to drill away as you need lots of strength to make your own holes most holes are guided but you need to make them yourselves with pressure with the drill
Tip::: lay this forward flat on the floor when you have the put the 18 screws at the back,,, the floor will give you extra strength to drill the holes
Results::: absolutely love i
Quality
I purchased 2 of these. Both are good quality for the price. Read instructions thoroughly before you start to build it as there are some tricky bits. Each part labelled well so you can follow the instructions easily. I put the first one together by myself in about hour but as the second one came damaged it took 2 people. make sure that you fully inspect every part first and if any are damaged then return even if it’s only a small split as even though the description and previous reviews say you can get parts replaced you absolutely can’t. My second storage box had a split door and a crack in the top. Give how heavy and bulky the item is I persevered with it and built it thinking I could get a replacement door, how wrong was I. This product is sold by Amazon and it has been difficult dealing with them tbh and they definitely don’t send out replacement items they want the whole item sending back (not easy when it weights 28kg and has already been built) ** Be careful as once you have put it together you can’t take it apart to return it**
Impressive firm / manufacturer to deal with
When the unit arrived there was damage to two components. With one call to the suppliers replacement parts arrived within 48 hours. Extremely efficient. A second call explained that the plastic was fully recyclable and that it was appropriate for me to deal with the matter. A thoroughly effective hasle free solution. Problems often arise, it is the sign of an exceptional customer service system that can correct the problem with no stress. Thanks.
It does a job
Expect to find parts that are broken. The parts that were broken in mine I could still use and live with.
Assembly is tricky until you’ve worked out exactly which piece is which. After that it’s pretty straight forward and I’m not a DIY specialist.
If you’re expecting a shelf that is a separate purchase
Broken pieces
Easy to build, though took quite a while and needed 2 people at times. Feels sturdy once built and standing on flat ground but there were a few pieces with bits broken which is disappointing. Luckily I got it when on discount and the breakages are only small but I would still expect it to arrive undamaged.
Good, but time wil tell if this will las
Quite easy to assemble – does ideally take two. Looks good and will take quite a few bits , but mainly for my lawnmower.
BEWARE – On assembly, both sides of the lid , attaching the hinges – the pre-drilled holes simply split – that is long before fully tightened so has nothing to do with over-tightening etc. Same hole on each side! Not sure if this wil affect the lid over time as less securely held- but I will be sure to seek replacement if it does.
Really good vakue
Paid 139 for this so was really chuffed
My partner put it up in about an hour with an electric screwdriver ( must have!)
Lovely sturdy store with a base on it too!
Really thrilled with i
Two person assembly but don't use someone who thinks they know more than you i.e your spouse.
It is very good for the storage of garden tools i.e rake, spade etc but the locking device I feel is somewhat inadequate for the size and shape of the doors as it would be easy to lever open the lid thereby breaking the hasp and rendering the contents open to removal. The doors could easily be prised open leaving the content open to removal and once you get the lid open the rest is easy. The plastic bolt is not for securing the door just keeping it shut and again could be subject to leverage. all in all if there is risk of theft in the site of placement i feel it’s quite unsuitable.
Great piece of dtorage
This was easy to assemble. It took me 63 yr old a good 1 hr to put together. You do have to be careful when screwing them together with power tool so as not to break as the plastic is flimsier than it used to be originally (I had one many years back of thicker better plastic) Overall very pleased with it, looks great, arrived in one piece no broken bits I might buy another one as only 1 lawn mower takes up most of the bottom space and I do need another to store more garden stuff
Garden Store
Although pleased with the end product inasmuch that it does what I want it to do, assembly was a tad fraught as the metal bar was creased and was longer than needed which made assembly problematic. TW found a very useful YouTube video which helped a great deal. Amazon as ever keen to help with the metal bar issue (crease) but didn’t fancy returning the whole thing. Did contact Keter themselves but still waiting. So finally assembled but it’s still not too sturdy as when I filled with other things the whole storage bin flex’s and therefore the door won’t close properly and the fit of the lid is not as snug as I’d prefe
Great storage option for the garde
I was sadly put off by the negative reviews at first, but I decided to just go for it, and I am so glad I did !
I’d been waiting for the ones at B&Q to become available for delivery (I don’t drive), and then saw this one on Amazon. It’s actually the same quality as the ones sold in B&Q, and I believe cheaper !
The delivery was fast, and the person who delivered it actually brought it in the house, because the package itself, is very heavy. It came fully intact with all the pieces, not even the cardboard box it came in was damaged.
I found it tricky to get out the box, but the assembly was easy. I put it together by myself, in about an hour. The worst part for me was levelling the ground where I wanted to place it.
It holds LOADS, the lawnmower barely takes up any space in there.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase, and I hope it stands the test of time !
Worth It.
Recieved earlier than we expected and assembled simply following the instructions. Just one odd item, we have other Keter products and the top surface slopes towards the front of the unit. This one slopes to the rear. This the fourth unit we have bought…all good value.
Once erected it is brilliant.
Assembly wasn’t quite as easy as suggested. All went to plan except for lining up the back. Thinking that if it wasn’t positioned correctly it would effect the remaining stages of assembly I really struggled to get the back as described in the instructions. I perhaps worried too much as all went well in the end and I now have a waterproof store. Only problem is that if the top is wet when opened water tends to drip inside.
This storage box took more than I thought it would, & I can now get my car in the garage! Easy to build, although I was worried about screwing into thin plastic – however all went well, following the instructions by the letter. Built it on my own, although they recommend 2. Once built it seems quite stout, & I can also vouch for its waterproof credentials.
Really excellent service from Amazon – arrived a day early, in good condition, & it was the lowest price for the box, in some cases by over 100.
Not overwhelmed with the quality but does the job.
The box itself is OK for what I need although damaged in places when unpacked.
The recycling was being collected the morning it was being put together, so packing it up and sending it back wasn’t possible
Really could have done with assembly instructions!
We bought this item to store the cushions from our new outdoor corner unit. It arrived promptly & was well packaged, all the parts were present except for assembly instructions! I found a video on YouTube which helped apart from how to assemble the back panel. This nearly led to divorce proceedings & a wifely meltdown! I’m still not sure it’s right, but it’s all together & seems to be doing the job. Too soon to say how weatherproof it is, but we installed a home made shelf to keep the cushions off the floor & provide extra storage below.
Product fine, communication and delivery dreadful
So heres the story …. I’m generally happy with the product albeit it’s a little less sturdy than I expected from a genuine Keter product. I’ve always been fair in my feedback hence despite the story to follow I’ve rated the product itself fairly as a four star. The problem is this, I ordered the item as Prime next day delivery, 3 days later I had no communication from the seller and logged back into Amazon to find a perfunctory notice stating it would not be delivered for up to a further 9 days. A track and trace number for Hermes was provided but when checking that it did not reconcile with any delivery to my home address. So I couldn’t check progress of the delivery until earlier today when i got home and later in the evening when going into the garden I found the box propped against the garden wall. There was no delivery notice through my door telling me that or I may have found it earlier in the day. When I subsequently looked on Hermes website it stated the item had been delivered to my “safe place”. I’m not so sure I count the wall of my back garden as my “safe place”. Unsurprisingly there was no proof of delivery photograph on the track and trace date. All in all a bit of a shambles but unfortunately you dont seem to be able to give feedback for the delivery service with this item, otherwise I think I would have been looking for a negative stars option. Poor poor show.
Worth i
Seems flimsy when opened but sturdy when closed. Worth what I paid for it so happy. Stores scarifier and mower plus other tools easily. Gets them out of garage and that what I wanted it for.
It’s very good for it’s purpose. I have 8 garden chairs in it and they are so easy to put in and get out. The doors open wide and the lid hinges up and stays there without falling down.
I put it up myself. Well – most of it. I got stuck at the point you see in the photos because I really struggled to get the screws in. The cross slots are very small and the screws VERY tight. I had to wait till my son came to my rescue to do the last of the screws. The instructions showed an electric drill/driver but I was doing them by hand. Other than the screws it is very easy to assemble. You WILL need to read the instructions though, but they are very clearly laid out. Overall a YES.
Does the job as expected.
Piece of cake to assemble, instructions say you need two people to fix the lid to the sides but it’s not too difficult for one person.
A cordless drill/screwdriver will save a lot of effort as there are 44 screws to screw in.
You’ll save yourself a lot of grief if you make sure the base is on an absolutely flat and level surface, being plastic it will skew quite easily if not.
Overall it’s very easy to assemble and does a good job storing garden tools.
It’s not a security storage shed, I’m sure with very little effort someone could open it even if locked.
Sturdy
Needed a tool and lawnmower store. Also keep wild bird in there. Sturdy with double doors that open wide. Gas lift lid with bolt that can also be padlocked shut and also a down slide bolt at the bottom. Wind and rain proof, everything is dry inside, nice colour and is wipable.
Decent for holding outdoor toys for kids.
It’s ok. I bought I purely as something to house my sons outdoor toys in. It’s relatively easy to assemble but getting all the holes to match isn’t easy. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking at housing stuff that’s going to batter the frame. Other than that. It’s ok. It fits the Little Tikes Cosy Coupe with the tow bay attached – if you purchase that as an extra, perfectly.
Easy to assemble and rock solid
Very pleased with this purchase – it swallows up stuff and the fact you can lift either the top only to lift something out, or the front to wheel out the lawnmower is very handy.
It is also fairly light when empty, despite feeling really tough and weatherproof.
The only negative is that you have to get it perfectly square to get the lid/lock hole to line up perfectly and you’ll need a padlock with a long loop as a standard one won’t fit.
Definitely recommended though
Poor quality control
Product had broken parts.
Still able to assemble it.
Decided not to send it back as it did not affect it too much.
Otherwise I would have.
Its seems well packed.
No damage to outer packaging.
So damage would seem to have occurred whilst being packed.
Poor quality control.
Easy to Assemble and light to move into place!
This unit is great. Excellent price, easy to assemble and move around, took about 1hour 15minutes from unpacking to finished. Looks great and plenty of room. Great value for money. We had read reviews and expected a 3 week delivery slot, no we ordered on the evening and it was delivered within 48 hours, fantastic service. 100% recommended.
Looks good and works well but some fiddly bits when assembling
Really good product and stands up well to the wind and rain we’ve had recently. I found putting the hinges on a bit fiddly, but the other steps during assembly were okay.
Ode to Keter
Keter Keter,
My garden stuff kepper.
Sun, rain or snow
You’re good to go.
The hinges were fiddly,
But that didn’t matter.
As now my garden’s tidy,
And looks ten times better.
As we don’t have a garage or large shed,I needed to find a suitable “home” to store my mobility scooter that I bought a few weeks ago.I scoured the internet for ages and eventually decided to buy this from Amazon because it was the only company that I could find that delivers.
I had read the mixed reviews but still proceeded.I have to say that the pieces arrived in a huge cardboard box and were well wrapped.I’m disabled and there was a limit as to what I could do to help my 65y wife assemble the unit. However,I had googled the life out of what to do and viewed endless Youtube videos so I verbally guided her rather than let her pore over the instructions which,to be fair, are well written.
Some of the screws to attach the back section were a little difficult but overall I would say it’s straightforward enough.
It looks solid enough and the scooter fits with room to spare. It poured down soon after completion and it seems well waterproofed so far.
Was inially concerned at earlier reviews saying parts were broke. Mine arrived in 2 days. All present and correct. Lovely clear instructions only a cordless drill (optional) was used. Got it all assembled in about 45 minutes. Great size, was able to stash a mower /strimmer/hedge cutters and other associated gardening equipment.. It came with wheely bin lid lifting kit which is great if needed.. Overall a great product that seems very sturdy and should remain weatherproof.. Very pleased with this purchase
Nice enough storage
I’ll give this a 4 star rating for now. Annoyingly, one of the smaller parts was defective therefore, it’s not quite complete. I was disappointed to read about the poor customer service by Keter and was worried that I would be unable to finish building the product due to that. Luckily good old Ebay was to the rescue and I found the part on there. I did also email Keter – not easy to find the U.K. form online! I have had an acknowledgement from them, but whether they’ll actually send the part out or whether it will be in 6 months time, awaits to be seen. I just hope the part from eBay works and the shed will be ready to use soon!
Bought for storing 2x240l Wheelie Bins, houses them perfectly.
When building the storage unit just make sure you read the instructions, can be a bit fiddly to build but came together brilliantly.
Happy customer.
Was delivered before date given. Packaging was intact. Had no broken parts as have read in customer reviews. My daughter and I assembled it together, it definitely does take two people. Was quite proud of ourselves putting it together in quite a good time. It is a sturdy unit and surprisingly holds quite a lot. Very pleased with purchase.
Well we ordered 2 of these one has been delivered now waiting on the second one to arrive it seems to take ages but we are happy with our purchase would recommend.
Great store out but more flimsy than old models
Assembly was fair but you have to read the assembly instructions a couple of times and keep reading so you don’t miss anything out as its almost impossible to undo and go back. I had to predrill the screw holes so the screws would screw home even with a drill /driver.
This unit stands next to an old Keter garden store and is more sturdy than the new one. Keter don’t recommend you leaning anything against the sides whereas the old one stores my Black&Decker Workmate leaning against a side without a problem. The new one does have a larger capacity though.
High quality and highly recommended!
Much bigger than I expected, but great! We needed that extra bit of storage space as we have a small house, and this is a decent bit of kit.
It feels and looks great quality, the hydraulics work really well when opening the top lid with lots of space inside!
It was Very easy to assemble and doesn’t take that long at all, it was the first flat pack build yourself kit That I didn’t swear or get irritated with it once when putting together haha!
Highly recommended
Great storage
I was a little anxious about buying this as read many disparaging reports on several websites but I must say I am very pleased with it.
My son erected it. Took him about 40 minutes. It holds loads of items including, lawn mower, garden tools , garden chairs , paint tins etc..
It was erected last summer and kept all contents dry and has remained solid and secure.
Also quite attractive to look a
Good product Happy with my purchase
Just put this together after our new drive way has been completed over-all I’m pleased with the product easy to assemble & instructions only small issue I had with it was part of the lid is broken & I thought I might have to send it back but everything seems OK thankfully
So I giving 4 stars only becouse of the slight damage see pics
If you decide to buy this product check the top before you assemble it all in all im Happy with it.
Weak lid support dampers
The first set of hydraulic lid dampers were so weak, that with the slightest breeze the lid tended very easily fall close. In fact, it very nearly hit me on the back of my head … big ouch!!!!!
Stays were quickly replaced by the seller and new ones so far seem stronger.
Just good all round
Had slight crack in a small area at back of box, but we were able to rectify, so for price, kept. I like Keter products, found always to be very good in every respect. This has a good amount of room. Filled a space we had perfectly, and we added a shelf, so storage was of the optimum.
Reasonable price, be patient and take your time.
Slight delay in delivery of 7 days – had queried this and received a swift helpful response from Garden Store Direct. It arrived in a cardboard box with an additional moulded polystyrene packing piece at each end. There were a couple of small plastic shards broken off during transit along with a 6 inch crack on edge of the roof, though this didn’t appear to interfere greatly with the structural integrity during assembly, so hopefully all will be ok – time will tell. Assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow with occasional need to stop and stare before continuing. Majority of parts fitted together relatively easily with only the back panel and it’s metal bar causing a degree of obscene swearing. The roof hinges were probably the most difficult parts to fit, only 2 screws each but 1 screw each side was very difficult to access the screw head – again a spot of swearing. It could probably be assembled by 1 person though certainly easier with 2 people. We 2 novices took around 2 hours to complete. An electric screwdriver was needed, you could probably do it manually but there are 44 screws, so we found electric screwdriver essential.
A good piece of storage equipme
Now that I’ve built this, its a sturdy storage option. It isn’t straightforward to build though, with plastic pieces having to be held strongly together before screwing in pieces to hold it together. I had a very small piece of brittle plastic broken off when I opened the box, but so small it wasn’t worth repackaging and sending back – although I have seen other reviews with a similar issue. I have had it a few weeks now and it is fully waterproof. Make sure you get a long shank padlock and make sure the padlock loop is wide enough to fit into the locking mechanism as that is tricky too. Overall I am happy with the product but its not quite perfect.
Really good quality and value for money.
Strong, practical garden storage at a very good price. My only criticism would be the rather complicated build which would benefit hugely by more click-joints and less screws. That said it was easy enough to build on my own and any future builds would be even simpler. Like it a lot.
Very sturdy and roomy.
Ideal for my requirements, it stores my rubbish bins and bags, our council does not provide wheelie bins.
Needs two people to construct it. As long as it sited on a level surface it is fine. didn’t need to
fit a lock, but it closes really well, and is very accessible from the top and front if required.
Good but be very careful when assembling.
Easy to assemble, but I noticed that some components contain a lot of plastic fillers making them rigid & fairly brittle. That should not affect the strength as long as you are careful. Assembly should take about 30 minutes and is straight forward. Otherwise, just take your time, follow the video guide and do it in the specified order, including the screws. Best of luck!
Arrived broke
Nice large container. Ideal for my beer fridge and brewing stuff! However, the left hand door was cracked at the bottom, and the hinge on the main container on that side was also broken. By the time I’d noticed, I’d built it. Of course, it may have been broken in the factory or during transit. The unit is easy to build, but there’s a lot of screws. The instructions are fairly clear. This container is well made and even after snow and heavy rain, it is dry inside. Be careful when inserting the top (left and right) hinge sections into the main unit: you need to hang the door off the bottom hinges first, otherwise you’ll never get the top and bottom hinges in at the same time.
Good size storage
Fairly simple to assemble even for the non DIY’er. Pretty stable and even more so after I added a wooden shelf inside and screwed it in through the sides (this isn’t a modification it’s actually detailed in the instructions, you just need the wood).
The only thing you need to think about when getting a padlock for it, is that you will need a long shank padlock 57mm length with a width of around 40mm or more between the two shackle arms for it to lock around the handle mechanism.
Brilliant Outdoor Storage
This is the second Keter outdoor storage ‘shed’ (box) purchased and I have to say they’re brilliant! They assemble easily, are easy to open and close and they’re completely weatherproof. It’s used to store bird feed and miscellaneous outdoor itmes and plenty of room for both, and no water inside, which is brilliant given that the garden is a large puddle at the moment! I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a large, outdoor storage solution.
parcel dropped by courier .
Not the fault of Keter manufacture but parcel was dented on one corner & when we opened it some of the brown plastic off the inside of the lid ,on the corner was broken off also on the same side the side panel next to the hinge had a crack on it this was obviously where the package had been dropped ,as we are both old age pensioners we could not put up with the hassle of sending it back so got the gorilla glue out and hoped for the best .
Roomy and water tigh
Good storage and is weather proof. Take care on instructions or you can place pieces incorrectly then have to rework it (Yes i am a bloke and didn’t read first 🙂 ).
Its plastic so it only as secure as the determined person to break in but is lockable with a padlock. You can get small shed alarms if worried about security to put inside it.
Not such a quick build but worth the effo
Very pleased to receive all pieces intact (having read previous reviewers receiving broken parts I was a little nervous). Better pleased with the quality having received it – but do remember, it is only plastic at the end of the day so if you want something more substantial then this probably isn’t it! The back is the least sturdy – rather like the bit of plywood you often put on the back of a flat pack cupboard, only this is plastic. Did not find this a 25 min job as in the description. Although it’s quite straight forward, OH actually spent about an hour at it. Ok, maybe if you used a power tool you might get there quicker, but OH found that was causing some damage, so changed to a ratchet screwdriver. If you do QR codes, then getting the digital instructions (code on the manual) can be a nice addition to the instruction manual though you need to use them in conjunction as the digital one is a little, lets say, ‘brief’! We found that on the bottom and top door closures we had to find our own screws as the given ones just would not fit. The other annoying part was securing the back in place as none of the holes are pre made for you so that takes a bit of work. Once all together it’s light enough to lift, but also feels sturdy (when fitting the roof, we had to stand on the base and it comfortably held 16st). It doesn’t quite fit under my window as I wanted so have placed it slightly out the way. You can secure to the ground if wanted; also add shelves as desired (there are resting points inside, just fashion your own shelving). Fixtures included for 2 bins if wanted (it’s the height of your wheelie bin). The roof stays up nicely on its own. Overall, happy for the price paid and hoping this will have a long life!
Fab produc
Loved how easy it was to put together for two old codgers armed with a mini hand-held screw driver. Needs space so be sure to make it up where it is going to say as it is too large to fit through normal size doors. However the on-line video was clear and gave extra help but the book was as easy as following sewing patterns. Arrived on time, delivery driver extremely helpful and brought it to the door down 12 steps. Packaged well, all parts clearly marked. Love it and would recommend this product for storage of toys, garden equipment, cleaning tools but for me to store all my christmas lights so I don’t have to climb to the attic next year. Thank you. Will probably purchase another one of similar for front garden and maybe one to go alongside this one. Thank you.
Amazing!
Great storage, I live in Kent, and has been raining ceaselessly and my bins were dry and perfect! Just 2 things though, the right door has a latch bellow, that is hold in place by 4 screws, don’t use the 4 screws provided by the manufacture, they are too long for the job, is impossible to screw them until the end, instead, use short screws that will fit it perfectly. Also, the hinges have 2 screws each, one of them is very hard to reach, so use a long screwdriver, with no power in this one, as they recommend in Keter manual. Hight recommended.
Too small for even a basic lawnmower !
Bought so we could store our small Honda push along mower, guess what ITS TOO SMALL – so now we have to remove the handle on the mower to fit it in and the same again to use the thing. The good news is it’s very well made and totally weatherproof, just wish it was a bit wider
This is really annoying as the mower is hardly large in fact the UKs number one seller.
Whats more when you do get a mower in there is no floor space at all so have to just pile stuff on top Sure its fine for dustbin storage bit anything else, forget it !
good, but needs a shelf
Was a bit tricky to assemble, took 2 of us, but once up looks great, get my 2 kids(small) bikes in which is what I bought it for, but it,s a shame they didn,t supply a shelf which would have been great for storing light stuff like cushions.
Overall I am pleased with it and I will get a piece of MDF or the likes.
Quality buy
I really like this storage box.
It took me a few hours to assemble by myself – which seems a long time but
1) The instructions say 2 people to build
2) I am over 50 and not as nimble as I once was.
Nonetheless I was able to follow the clear instructions & slowly put it together. (There are a lot of screws.)
Once together it is very sturdy and I am so happy with it. A very useful storage addition to my garden.
(I was so impressed I also purchased the flat packed garden seat storage )
USE the instructions!! Great produc
Good sturdy product.
We nearly put it together the wrong way and thought there was nothing we could do to put it right !! But we risked a bit of brute force and managed to rectify it. I dont think you could successfully take this apart once its built. But its lightweight, easy to move.
Perfect storage, large inside and piston operating lid. Definitely recommend!! Just make sure you READ the instructions
Easy Assembly and Waterproof
I have three of these. Two store firewood and one currently has a washing machine in it while we rebuild the kitchen/utility. Assembly is straightforward but I have held back one star because the screw heads have a shallow profile which causes the screwdriver to slip and damage the slots. Once assembled, the storage container is easy to use and has a vertical bolt at the bottom and a horizontal bolt at the top, to hold the doors shut. Unfortunately, the horizontal bolt assembly and lid hasp, being plastic, are not security features despite having a padlock fitting; someone could cut them off in seconds. Since two of my storage containers are now over five years old I can confirm that they last.
Perfect for keeping things dry and secure
Bought two to make chicken coops with. Perfect for the job. The locking and unlocking is a little tricky but at least I know no foxes can open it at night lol. Easy to assemble for me and a friend. Both of us are disabled and old and probably too fat. But it didn’t take us long and they were light enough for us to move into position once built.
No margin for erro
The product door was cracked, a replacement was ordered as not in stock. We continued to follow instruction for assembly, but made a slight error and were unable to correct it due to the nature of the product. We eventually resolved it by sawing a chunk out to fit bracket, this resolved the problem but not sure for how long! Not sure how waterproof it will be only time will tell.
My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing this, make sure you are competent at DIY . And read instructions carefully. This product does not allow for error.
The customer service team were polite and helpful, they did what they could to resolve issue.
Problem resolved
I previously posted to say the item was damaged. This was returned and replaced. The replacement had some cosmetic damage on the inside of the lid and I have been given a refund of 18. I did receive a phone call and emails to try to resolve the situation which was good customer service and I appreciated. I think the issues stemmed from the delivery transportation not the company itself. Very good product otherwise.
Great Product and Customer Service
Purchased in 2019 this storage container has served me well (as have the other 2 smaller Keter containers I purchased.) All items stored have remained protected from the Cornish gusts. Recently though the lid was caught in a strong gust and the piston brackets buckled (lid was open at the time). Quick call to Keter Customer Service and replacement brackets are in the post as they’re within warranty. Yes I would definitely recommend and would have no problem buying again.
Does what I wanted.
I was looking for an outdoor, lockable bike store but couldn’t find one which was long enough to take the bike. So I switched my viewpoint and got one which let me clear enough garage space to accommodate the bike and would be OK to store a hedge trimmer, leaf vac and other garden equipment in a dry, secure, environment.
The shed was easy enough to assemble, although some care is needed to ensure the rear corners are pushed together properly so that the fixing screws actually go through the relevant holes. When fitting the lid hinges, you need a screwdriver with a very long blade to get the correct alignment in the screw heads to prevent “cam out.”
The lid is easy to lift and lower, under the control of the support struts The foot-operated bolt on the bottom of the right-hand door is adequate but a similar bolt on the left-hand door would be an improvement. Will have to wait and see what winter brings before I can make a decision on the weather-resistance of the shed.
The floor feels a bit springy when yo walk on it but most of the items in there can be reached easily enough while standing outside.
Great Storage
I bought this on a promotion, and it’s just perfect for my needs.
The only negative is that you have to have quite a strong grip in order to ensure all the fixings are screwed in tightly.
It’s survived extreme heat and cold, and is completely waterproof.
Mine holds a lawnmower, an assortment of garden tools, 2 x padded recliner chair/loungers, and a set of 8 x large seat cushions plus bags of compost.
The clear advantage of this over a wooden shed, is that it’s zero maintenance and portable.
Definitely recommend
Large chested ladies..... be carefull putting the doors on 😵
I got this at the beginning of lockdown, decided to put it together whilst my husband was at work, a few jokes from a friend about whether I even know how to use a drill (used as screwdriver) but I was doing so well putting it together, until………. I was attaching the last door, it was a tight squeeze so I decided to lean over it and put all my weight into squeezing it together! I trapped my boob!!! I was stuck to the container by my right breast and could not move anywhere… my phone was on the floor which I couldn’t bend down to get and Siri clearly didn’t recognise my distressed ‘hey Siri’, my kids were in the house, my husband at work and it was lockdown so not like the neighbours could have come to help!! Eventually my 13 year old son came to my rescue and spent 20 mins trying to pull it apart and free the boob! We did it, with a small chuck of breast missing and a hole in my top!
But the storage unit itself is great, solid and secure, I am considering to buy another one for my kids garden stuff to go in, but the husband will be putting that one together!
Worth it 100% but instructions need to be moreclea
Pleased with my keter store it out max its good size and just what i needed to store stuff in.
The down side is the instructions they are not clear at all, my friend and myself struggled with the back and give up, i was ready to return it and started the process then she sent me video YouTube of person putting the keter arch together and it all made sense and following morning it was put together in no time so my advice is thank you YouTube man.
Reason why only gave 4stars for the assembly is that keter need to be more clear in there instructions book if wasnt for that would been 5stars like the rest and you differently need an electric screwdriver to assemble it and once it was together im so made up i purchased the keter store it out max.
Perfect store for parcel deliveries
I was looking for a defined, weather proof store for “distanced” deliveries to benefit both ourselves and those delivering and with the potential to contain both large and small items. I found this at a good price early in “lockdown” and it has served us well. We live at the top of a hill in the Scottish Highlands and the store is located in a position where it is open to the prevailing westerlies and it has had no issues. Assembly is easy if you follow the instructions and install on an appropriate, flat base to ensure stability; I put in a solid shelf (space provided) and this means smaller items can be easily accessed from the top without opening the doors and it provides useful extra bracing. Well thought out design and delighted with the purchase
Looks Good!
Was apprehensive after some of the reviews but item arrived within 3 days, all pieces present and no damage.
There were instructions and I used them in conjunction with a BRILLIANT video on YouTube which I cannot advertise but it is 11mins05secs long, hope this is within review guidelines.
A drill or cordless screwdriver will save you a lot of time and effort.
Careful with the backplate, the arrows point outwards on both pieces and you “reverse” one of them.
Too early for a five star review but capacity handles my 2 x 240Litre wheelie bins no bother.
When closing the lid ensure you line up the “lugs” on top of the doors with holes in the lid, slight pressure, snap in, sorted.
Great product, terrible delivery by Hermes
Great product, but the whole experience was a total letdown by the Hermes delivery. I decided to have this delivered to my work. But Hermes who we’re supposed to deliver on mon 3rd August, decided. Oh, why not deliver at 6.30pm on a Friday night when we we’re closed, but oh no, Hermes were not going to attempt another delivery, and dropped it at another company, with no indication who it was. I had to go door to door throughout an industrial estate to locate my item, then had to get a taxi to bring it back to my workplace due to its size and weight.
Think twice if you orde
