Im painting houses, and doing a spindles it’s a must. Saves days. Decent price too. And cutting in covings it’s quality too. For large surfaces not recommend. Overall great product.
Bought to spray the fence, at least 40 foot long and spray both sides.
Took around 8 hours to do two coats on both sides. Better than the 2 days it use to take…
Easy to use, cleaning a little messy but worth the money.
Time save
Good little product that saves so much time painting. I use outdoor fence paint but had to water it down a fair bit. Once I’d worked that out I was speedy doing 5 times more than I’d do in the same time painting. Very happy

I have painted my entire shed, all my fencing and a large area of decking in next to no time. It is extremely easy to use and cleaning when finished is really quick & easy too. I would highly recommend it. Its worth mentioning that some paints need to be diluted, just be sure you have a thin consistency and it will work a treat, best thing I’ve purchased in a long time, my entire garden was finished in a day.
Iv had paint sprayers before much more expensive than this one, i have to say this is better…. its so easy to fix up and use and the spray is very even and simple to adjust, the instructions make things harder than they actually are to be honest but other than that its a good budget gun that puts some other more expensive guns to shame

This cut the time to paint my fences in half – it would be more if the paint tank was bigger as it takes a little while to keep refilling but otherwise can’t complain. Great for my fence panels but didn’t work so well on my trellises with all the gaps and crevices.
Ease of use
Found it a little frustrating to start with but after realising what I was doing wrong found it worked really well. Easy to clean too. Was spraying the fence panels but they will need 2 coats but it was so much quicker than using a brush. Only problem is I now have to do other chores.
Saw this a lot cheaper than argos so purchased it on amazon. I used it for fence and shed spraying. Covers well and soooo much quicker than a brush. Really messy though. I did in fact spray my tee shirt on first go as had it the wrong way round like a thicky.
Good little paint spraye
I have used this for spraying a garden fence with fence guard and it did a great job. Very easy to use and clean and gives a good even coverage. The only downside is the small capacity reservoir which needs filling often. I bought a spare one so that I could have a full one ready when the one I was using ran out but even so it is still a bit of a chore to keep refilling. Overall though a really good sprayer which feels well made and will hopefully stand the test of time.
Have you ever used one of those plastic pump action pressure sprayers to try and paint your fence panels and ended up with more paint on you/the sprayer/the floor/anything else. Well this sprayer is nothing like the ones you physically pump. This is brilliant. Just make sure you mask off any concrete posts and cover up concrete gravel boards. If using Ducksback water it down between 5 and 10%. Use on a calm day and away you go. You get panels done so much quicker than with a brush. It’s not even difficult to wash out after you’ve finished with it. Get one and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
This worked like a dream and saved hours of painting! Did the whole lot in about 2 hours and was able to apply several coats in this time! Used about 3.5 litres of paint to do this large table and chairs so maybe a little more than if I had painted by hand but it was well worth it. Make sure you dilute the water ever so slightly and test the spray projection on a piece of cardboard first and then you should be good to go!
This product is very good and saves loads of time, however I have only given 4* as the wire of this is very short and his quite heavy after using for a while.
Not sure if it was me, but seemed to use up paint quite fast, and with the size of the pot, had to refill quickly, maybe didnt have the correct setting, and it seems to take a while to refill and doing the mixing before spraying, having said that it sprayed a fence panel in a couple of minutes instead what used to be hand paints at 15 minutes a panel.

We have 32 6×6 foot fence panels in our garden, normally takes 2-3 weekends to paint. Got the lot done in under 2 hours with very minimal overspray on the posts, so I kept a damp cloth handy to wipe as I went. Absolute no brainer, just make sure you have lots of paint or stain and you will run out very quickly.
Really easy to use, paint sprayed evenly and a full tub does quite alot before you need to add more. It Took literally minutes to do a fence that took me all morning last time. The only negative I have is the length of the power cable, its on the short side.
I was painting 4x new trellis panels, both sides. Last one of same panel I did in garden last year, by brush, took me 4hrs for one panel. With this sprayer, I did all 4x panels, both sides, by leaning them against fence of the same colour, in 3hrs, and that included an hour of playing around with getting the mix right, after it initially became clogged.
I was using Ducksback 5yr Wood treatment. It was too thick as standard and clogged up. So I watered it down by mixing into an older empty Ducksback pot approx 1/4 of a 5ltr pot at a time, then added water equivalent to roughly two thirds of the sprayers paint carrier pot, then mixed up nicely using an old long handle screwdriver.
Unclogging was initially problematic until I realised that cleaning the black filter behind the spray nozzle was the key, that’s where it tended to clogged. Took the filter out along with the nozzle head, washed in a bucket of clean water along with other parts such as feeder tube, back on, and away it went again.
Would I recommend this sprayer – yes definitely. It wasn’t problem free but once I worked out the paint consistency it would tolerate, and how to unclog it effectively, it worked quickly and a treat.

This is really simple to use.
I found it really easy to set up only took a few minutes.
I used it on my garden bench that needed a paint.
I was surprised how even it sprays.
My only issue was how quickly the paint needed refilling again. I think the pot could be a little bigger.
But overall its really good.
Simple to use and effective
I got put off painting my fence after attempting it with a paint brush. It took me ages and I had gotten nowhere. I therefore get this paint sprayer and I was able to complete long sections of my fence in about 30mins ( it would have taken hours with the paint brush). That barrier to painting the fence is no longer there and I will also be using this to paint my shed as well. The only negative is that you will use more paint using this sprayer compared to using a brush but as long as you factor that into your planning, I think you will be happy with this product. It is very easy to use and clean. I can recommend this product to anyone.
Practice Makes Perfect!
I’ve never used a paint sprayer before, but I HAVE used a tan air spraying machine before and to be honest, the setup look almost the same, so I thought I could handle this paint sprayer.
I really wanted to paint my shed and do my fencing but I’ve always put it off because I simply cannot be bothered standing there for hours with a paint brush, absolute pain. This sprayer was definitely the perfect tool to get the job done and it’s actually pretty fun to use.
The sprayer comes boxed with instructions. I actually found the video in the ad more helpful than the instructions to be honest, so definitely give that a watch if you’re stuck at any points.
The setup is pretty straightforward. You need to remove the paint bottle and fill with the paint/lacquer etc that you want to use. It may need to be diluted if it’s too thick. You can do so by adding water I’d it’s water based or use solvent type solution to dilute if it’s solvent based. I filled to about the 500ml mark which was OK to hold, a little heavy but not terribly. The spray jet is adjustable to horizontal, vertical or a round jet. You can also adjust the speed/flow of the sprayer.
If you’re working outside you will probably need an extension cord if you don’t have an outside plug as the cable isn’t very long. If you’re unfamiliar with these sprayers, practice is definitely better! You can use cardboard to practice on and if you’re simply trying to get a hang of the nozzles etc you can fill with water to see what the flow and direction is like.
I’ve started painting our small shed so far. It gives a really nice, steady flow, surprising how good it looks with such little effort. You should concentrate on moving your arm to use the sprayer rather than the wrist. If you’re spraying top to bottom, simply spray in a steady, consistent line slowly moving your arm down as you spray.
The paint bottle can also screw off separately from the sprayer which makes for easier cleaning. Nothing gets on the sprayer so you don’t have to clean anything else other than the bottle.
Overall this is a really good paint sprayer from Wagner for small to medium jobs on wood or metal. It’s great for fencing, sheds, doors, furniture and decking. You don’t have to be some kind of professional to use it. Just practice for a while and you’ll get the hang of it!
I have had this sprayer since January and today is the first time that I’ve had a chance to use it. It was easy to fill, even though the fence stain was more of a thick gel than a thin liquid.
I have bought several sprayers over the years as I had a very long garden with 6ft panels around 3 sides. Every sprayer I bought was useless and either leaked or wouldn’t spray properly but this one is amazing. I sprayed eight panels in less than 30 minutes. It did not leak or get blocked once. I can honestly say this did exactly what it was supposed to. It was easy to clean and the only mess made was by me. Highly recommended. Even my hubby was impressed as he was expecting problems with another sprayer.
I like that this is easy to fill and use. We used a fresh tin of stain as recommended in other reviews to avoid dry bits blocking the mechanism. We also played with the flow of stain by initially filling it with water and practising beforehand. The action of this product means that a lot of area can be covered in a short time. Some reviews have complained that it goes through a lot of paint but it makes sense that it will need to to cover the area required. This sprayer quickly covered some old but bare decking in absolutely no time (a few minutes approx?) I went back over patches when it had dried and it produced an amazing finish. However, we were also covering a really reddish/orangy stained fence which was a nightmare to cover so needed several coats (but it’s fairly obvious that this is by no means the fault of the device). I have more jobs that will need doing over time and I’m more than confident that this sprayer will be up to the job. The bottle which contains the spray is relatively small if you’re using it for a large task (eg, multiple fence panels). However, a smaller container means a lighter machine. Larger containers that are compatible with this model are available from Amazon if you are stronger or want to fill up less.
Cleaning: the majority of the clean up is simple if somewhat messy (we were using black stain so this may have made clean up more unpleasant). I initially did a preclean outside in buckets and trugs. The machine comes to pieces easily enough for cleaning. Most of the parts are easy to clean and I recommend running warm water through the sprayer at the end to ensure no stain dries inside the pipes. However, whilst this was an easy way to clean the actual pipes, it was a nightmare to clean stain that surrounded the outside of the nozzle (which is inside the sprayer if that makes sense?). I luckily had various bottle brushes to do this but I think these should have been supplied with this machine. This may be an area of improvement for Wagner to work on but I can heartily recommend this sprayer.
Great product.
I used this recently to spray all my garden fence panels, it cut the work down to a few hours. It is a good product but I had to water the paint down more than it said, I also had to take it apart and wash the nozzle quite a few times as it got clogged quite quickly. When it goes though, the coverage is excellent, so was worth persevering with.
2 days saved
Having painted fences by hand over the years, I bought this item to see if I could save time. What a fabulous product. I sprayed the shed last weekend (for practice) and spent 3 hours today spraying 17 panels, 1 gate, both sides. It typically would have taken me 1-2 weekends to do this. It’s not too messy but there was no wind. After reading previous reviews about it blocking I ran it through with soap and water last weekend and if I was going to have a break today I just ran a container through with water. No blockages experienced here. I’m definitely going to recommend this to a few friends for their fences.

I sprayed 12 fence panels in just over an hour! I could have cried as the first time I done it.. it took me 3 days! Was terrified that I had wasted money on some crap but this thing was amazing and worth the money.
Had to fill the pot again after every 1 and half panels which was no problem..

I read the reviews and took a chance even though the reviews are good, have 16 fence panels to paint and the thought of doing this by hand wasn’t good! this sprayer is absolutely perfect and i cant stress enough, easy to use and cleaning is straight forward, the panels will need at least 2 coats but it layers the paint perfectly. I will try soon for spraying in the house on some of the walls with white emulation paint.
This item has a major fault !
I purchased this spray gun to spray trellis panels, and used Cuprinal paint.
This paint is quoted as being able to put on with a brush or spray on.
I ensured the paint was well mixed and just to be extra sure, being a water-based paint added just a little bit more water, making the paint like a single cream consistency.
About 3 minutes into spraying it blew the main fuse in my home !,
I checked the paint and added a little more water, so now it was really runny, and again it blew the main fuse in my home. so contacted the manufacture who tells me, there is no cut-out on this product, the motor is overheating and its due to wax in the paint !.
The paint manufacture says Bo====ks try another make of spray gun !
Lifesave
I used this during the summer of 2021 to paint 20 fence panels and a large shed.
It was so easy to use and super easy to clean that why I recommend it. It does use a little more paint than a transitional brush but its so much faster and gets into all the small crevasse. The first couple fence panels were a learning curve but after that it was plain sailing.
Know what you are getting into
Make sure you read the instructions. Particularly the paint types you can use. This worked amazingly well on water based Matt magnolia paint but awful on eggshell solvent based. Spitting and splattering all over the place. It is a good product for wall coverage though. Again, read the instructions on setup. I found YouTube very helpful. The cleaning meticulously is a MUST. Do not rush it. You will regret it. Tip. Strain your paint through some muslin cloth. This really does help reduce blockages and the laborious cleaning to unblock thereafte
Did the job really well
Did the job really well. Bought to paint the garden fence. Made a laborious task easy. Only thing I would consider is buying the bigger container version as had top paint up after a couple of panels
Great spraye
I bought this to do my fence and I will never go back to a paint brush again. I have a lot of fence and it normally takes me two days to do. With this sprayer I did it in THREE HOURS! Why did I not do this before! No leaking no splatters. The only two things that you need to be aware of is… if its running out of paint fill it up or it will splat as it does not have enough paint to spray and the cable is very short on it. it could do with being a bit longer. I’m actually going to try it the next time I do my internal walls. You have to water the paint down 1 part water to 4 parts paint. ( I was told this by a Dulux shop) Happy painting
Makes painting a joy!
Was a little skeptic at first but with the right dilution to allow thicker paint to flow correctly this sprayer is amazing. Spray pattern is wide but tight very little overspray and easy to control. Perfect for textured surfaces.
Fence painting made fun!
This product is fantastic, it has made a boring and long job fun and much much quicker, to wash, just fill the paint compartment with soapy water and spray until clear and empty.
