Reprogrammable Digital Access + 2 Override Keys
Equipped with an electronic lock, the AmazonBasics security safe offers quick set-up and easy operation. After installing four AA batteries (not included), reprogram the safe with your own unique passcode. To open the safe, enter your passcode using the key pad, then turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door. Two emergency override keys are included, which makes it possible to open the safe and access your valuables even if you forget your passcode or if the keypad batteries run out. The digital display has three different symbols to indicate locked, unlocked, and low battery. *Note: The safe is shipped locked. To open for the first time, use one of the two override keys provided.

Needed to install a money safe to store petty cash and change, etc. This one (although not pictured) has holes at the base of the unit so that I can mount it to the bottom board of the cabinet.

I bought this Amazon basics safe to replace my previous save to which the keys were missing and the batteries flat. It’s as well made as any I’ve seen in its price range and even has a wee internal removable shelf. I’ve seen no end of YouTube clips showing folks bouncing this type of save on a mattress to unlock the door. Quite frankly if I was a burglar and came across a small safe not fastened down, I wouldn’t be bouncing it up and down trying to open it I’d just take it with me. I’ve also seen folks picking the lock but with a bit of imagination when securing the safe you can stop that from happening to yours. I have mine bolted to a solid wall as was my last one which I needed to open with an angle grinder. A determined professional thief would no doubt open this type of safe without too much trouble, but for what it costs and provided it’s bolted down. this safe will add a degree of security for any valuables in your home.

This has fairly thin walls, but I think it’s good enough for what I need it to do.
Super easy to install and to secure to wall/floor. Easy to use electronic lock works great. Instruction manual is easy to understand.
Overall highly recommended as sn everyday home safe, particularly for laptops.
I’m not going to lie to you; it’s suitable for newcomers. I recommend it for thieves’ relatives or anyone living with you.
If you want an excellent safe, aim at a higher price or research before buying.

If you’re looking for something to protect what’s yours from a specific person, and not a seasoned burglar than this will get the job done. Just be sure to get the appropriate size.

If you’ve been looking for a safe to keep your valuables, firearms, etc. but you live in an apartment and can’t keep a massive safe around this one is great. It is quite heavy on its own so it would be a pain for a thief to steal the whole thing. The keypad works great and also has an alarm/lockout if you enter a wrong password too many times. I haven’t had any issues with the battery life and I have had this for a few months. Some will say it can be broken into very easily with a ballpoint pen, but I believe that was fixed in newer models. I tried that method and I couldn’t break into mine. Easily fits a few handguns even full size if you are looking to store those. If you are a metals or coin person this can easily fit quite a few silver or gold coins. If you want to store books of coins you might need something a little larger. If you want to store cash or documents obviously that is not an issue.
Solid and easy to set up & use. Plenty of room inside, it will take size A4 size folders.
This won’t stop a dedicated thief, but it’s fine for keeping your drunk uncle and your kids away from your handguns. I have 3. One in my guest room, one in my office, and one in my bedroom.

Je suis trs satisfait par ce coffre, pratique ; il offre les meilleurs dimensions (c’est le plus grand sur cette rfrence) esthtique, son aspect et sa finition sont excellentes. Elle est galement quipe d’une tagre interne. La scurit de ce coffre est bonne avec des cls de secours de type radial et un code de dverrouillage jusqu’ 9 chiffres. 4 chevilles mtalliques de fixation sont fournies, les fixations peuvent tre ralises sur deux faces. Il ne reste plus qu’ installer 4 piles AA de 1,5V. Trs bon produit.
It is very good laptop safe for home!! It is a bit tricky to turn ur laptop to be fit but I am very satisfied to buy this for cheap money! I didn’t try yet the code system but use the key to open.
Is a decent product at the price. There was a scratch on the top which they have tried to clear using abrasive and this has left a mark.

I haven’t secured this, it just sits atop a cabinet. It’s quite spacious for the price and I have enough room for my needs. I use the keys and have no batteries in it, because I cannot turn off the beeping when you press a button entering the pin, and I have a nosy neighbor below who listens to everything I do and dont want him knowing I have anything I value enough to put in a safe, which is what I subtracted a star for. Otherwise it is great, though I can’t comment on ease or durability of securing it with the bolts

This unit arrived with increadible speed ( Next day! ) I have an air rifle, which I keep in a proper gun safe. I purchased the digital safe for the storage of pellets, the trigger group and the gun’s breach. I found that the installation of the safe to be easy and that the instructions were very simple and clear. I installed the safe off site so that no one could obtain a complete working gun, in the event of robbery. It is perfect fo the job. This is a very good product.

Good value option to tuck away
A good value option. Bought one of these to tuck out the way. Ok so for the price don’t expect fort knox, I wouldn’t recommend it for cash or high value jewellery but for laptops and documents to keep out the way this will be fine.
The safe is a good size, 43cm wide so fits even some of the widest laptops which mine is. The metal isn’t massively thick, maybe 3mm so would not hold up to a blow torch or drill for that matter but will be enough to stop chancers. It will certainly be secure enough to stop your run of the mill chancers providing its tucked away and secured to the wall or floor.
Keypad is responsive and the keys don’t look quite discreet if put on your key set. Not bad at all would recommend.

Great size for A4 size documents kept flat. Good for aimple household stuff you don’t want disappearing over time. Does the job for me. Don’t know how long it would take for some serious thief to get into or take thw whole thing if not.bolted down. But I’m not holding the crown jewels.

Was delivered on time with overall quality seems reasonable. Not the ultimate security features but enough to protect your valuables & important documents. Love the security features of a electric passcode key pad, master keys, built quality & the budget price. I would recommend as the idea was proposed by a work colleague. This safe is one of the best we have used, having a shelf, makes all the difference
Be patient. It will work, eventually.
Took a while to get it running, and started working out of the blue. My advice is to let it warm up a bit in the house after delivery, fit the batteries, and wait a few minutes. Then follow the instructions and it should light up. I got mine 2 months ago and the batteries still work.
Note: It fell from the windowsill as I was trying to key in the password, and the key broke as the door hit the floor. Luckily, there’s a spare. Also, the safe box came out unscathed. But do be careful. It’s very heavy. And the base is quite slippery.

Leider gibt es wenige Tresore in der gleichen Gre. Wenn es den gleichen Tresor gbe, der auch bei Brand standhlt, wre wohl einigen Leuten sehr geholfen.

Práctica
Muy prctica para tener todas las pequeas joyas famiiares y documentos en un sitio con cierta seguridad, aunque la puerta tiene un poco de movimiento.
I used a previous safe turned upside down to line new holes in the bottom to use the same hardware (Plenty of epoxy in there so the old fittings will only come out when they dig the floor up in 100 years !)
I lost the keys for a very similar safe (hence I went for the closest replacement I could find and this is almost identical apart from the fitting holes and the colour as far as I can see). The battery pack was flat so the electronic code was no good so the ONLY way in we could use was to cut the top off with an angle grinder. Even though it was in OUR house, with OUR consent and the neighbours aware what was coming – it took ages with a 4 1/2″ cutting disk and an 800w grinder ! We literally cut the lid off like a tin can. I don’t think any their would have the time or be able to cut the top off without anyone noticing within 20 seconds (hence I went for the same safe again !)

L’intrieur est trs sommaire, juste un carr de moquette volante toute fine qui tapit le fond du coffre.
Mais cela fait l’affaire quand on n’est pas trop exigeant.
C’est plus scuritaire si c’est fix contre un mur parce que le fond est trs mince.
Je me demande ce qui se passe si on perd les cls livrs avec. Si quelqu’un a la rponse, je serais intresse de la connatre.

No es infalible pero sirve como disuasoria
Seguro que un ladrn la abre con una palanca pero al menos les complicas bastante la vida.
Se instala fcilmente y cumple con su cometido. Quiz agradecera un mayor espesor del metal de las paredes pero por este precio dudo que puedas encontrar algo mejo

Ottima la possibilit di impostare una ulteriore combinazione “di sicurezza”; la funzione utilissima se la cassaforte viene posizionata in un appartamento affittato ad uso turistico (il cliente potrebbe dimenticare la combinazione che ha impostato). Per ulteriore sicurezza la cassaforte ha anche la possibilit di essere aperta con le chiavi.

The best investment you will ever make
I bought the ‘Magictec motion sensor lights’ for the inside of my safe, as someone had suggested in the comments, and it makes me love my little safe even more.
There is a removable shelf inside and a section of felt on the bottom to cover the holes you can use if you decide to mount the safe in a wall.
HEADS UP!
For anyone who had trouble figuring out how to insert the batteries all you need to do is SLIDE the batteries through the slot until they are lined up with each other, on each row like this: BatteryBattery

You CANNOT just pop them in like you would on a remote or toy car.
I really struggled with putting the batteries in for a while because the ones recommended didn’t seem to fit or look like the right size because I have never had to slide the batteries in something before because they usually have their own individual places to insert them. So I was flipping back and forth between the instruction manual and the Amazon customer service chat until I figured it out. It would have been nice if they had stated the exact method of inserting them but I got through it!
As for the password set up it was cake compared to the batteries . When you first set everything up you can set the MAIN PASSWORD & THE MASTER PASSCODE at once. The first password is the one you use every time you open the safe. The Master passcode is what you use in case you forget the first one. The over ride keys are for you to use if you just forget everything!! Another thing I want to mention is that the buttons do make a loud beep for every button you press and three loud beeps for when it is opened (That could be worked on).
So, never fear your safe has a back up for everything. Even more so if you get the Asurion warranty on it.
This thing is great and I love it although when I opened the door to my safe it had some weird red stuff on the door even though it was packaged like it had never been used. But I just took a clorox wipe to it and it’s as good as new.
This is a great investment for people who don’t want to put their spare money in the bank and for those who don’t want to just have it lying around in the open. My new safe definitely makes me feel more secure from people with wandering hands .
