Sturdy bin that will last a lot longer Good make and recommend
I had my last bin for 15 years so I ordered the same one from them. Unfortunately the base is plastic where the original ones were metal and made all in one piece I don’t know why they change the original design because they were very very good. However this bin is still really good. the lid is the same and the catch is the same So based on my previous one and the length of time I had it I am hoping to keep this one for a few years to come. I have gone through several bins over the last year and paying extra for for me it was no different than buying three cheaper bins that just broke.

It is very good quality, and looks smart. These make of bins are guaranteed for 10 years, our last one just stopped opening with the touch lid after 16 years, hope this one lasts as long, good value for money.
Not cheap, but quality without a doubt.
The bin is huge and it has a large opening so you don’t often contact the bin sides when putting rubbish in it. I got the no fingerprints one and it’s exactly that, looks good all the time, just a wipe now and then. If you are going to have a bin on show in your lovely kitchen, get a good one that doesn’t rip the bag to ribbons when you try to remove it. It’s big, it’s good, it’s worth spending a bit more to get a good one.

Best bin I have ever owned it is sturdy, easy to clean and good value for money. It takes ages to fill up with rubbish and holds a lot and because of the size of the bin bags it takes up less amount of room in my wheelie bin. You also get a few bags with the bin which is a nice extra, I keep buying the bin bags too as they are strong and fit compact. I’d highly recommend this bin.

I’m very pleased by the Brabantia after sales service. I bought a bin in August 2015 and the lid mechanism broke recently. Gillian in customer service was unfailingly helpful and gave the impression that the company culture was one of seeking to assist the customer rather than find a way to wriggle out of a 10 year guarantee. We assessed the fault (not assisted by my techy incompetence at uploading pictures!) resolved the issue and I received the correct spare part in the post soon after. So; pleased with the product, delighted by being treated well and feel vindicated and satisfied in spending so much in the first place.

This bin is quality from top to bottom. The hinge and lid opening mechanism feels turdy and made from quality plastic rather than the brittle cheap stuff. Well worth the extra money.

Just replaced our electric sensor powered lid bin with the 60L Brabantia touch bin. Replaced the electric bin twice in its short life. Nice study bin, use their bin bags if you want zero effort getting them out. Can even take the lazy squash down removals. Where you bung an entire old takeaway on to a full bin. Then realise the next day you can’t get the bin bag out the bi

I previously had a Brabantia bin that I had owned for about 20 years. When it eventually became dented I thought that a new one was too expensive and so brought a cheaper bin. What a mistake! I hated it and so very quickly decided to buy this model. It is sturdy and looks good. Everything fits together perfectly and I know it is going to last at least as long as my previous Brabantia. Believe me it is worth the money. I never thought I would have an emotional response to a bin but having tried a cheap imitation I was so happy to get the best one back agai

I purchased this bin from the Amazon Warehouse, I am so glad I did – saved quite a bit of money and the condition was exactly as described. Redecorated the Kitchen recently so treated myself to this bin. Its a great size and the lid that just opens and closes at a touch is a game-changer….

As others have mentioned before, it is just a bin but I really like it. It contains far more waste than my previous bin and the touch opening lid is useful (although a bit scared it might eventually not work with wear and tear). I would advise buying the Brabantia bin liners to go with it though. Not cheap but a really good buy for sturdiness and look. Would recommend.

Arrived quickly. Good packaging and excellent price for a fantastic bin. Have had this make before and it lasted really well. Ordered a different make with automatic sensory open and close for change and it was rubbish! Will never go with any other make from now on. Bought my one from the manufacturer as it was on sale but bought this one for my sons new nouse. Both delighted.

Needed a big bin as we get through a heck of a lot of nappies, and obviously they don’t smell pleasant!! This is brilliant – sturdy, takes a long time to fill and completely contains any smells. Came with 3 spare liners but standard black liners for 60L plus work just as well.

I never thought I’d spend a lot of money on a bin, but here we are. My last one survived a very eventful 15 years without the lid mechanism suffering in the slightest. I replaced my old one simply because after 15 years of wear and tear, it was starting to look a little less than fantastic.

Important information for all brab bin owners
A good height for tall good looking wasters like moi!!
This is a very large but sturdy bin and although not cheap, the lid doesn’t fall off / break after a few months like the cheapo plastic bins. It has a hard, plastic , pull out inner bin that slots into a strong , polished metal outer bin that is smear free. It has a handy press down click catch on the lid that is easy to clean. The lid is spring loaded so it pops up when the catch releases ( and stays up!),until you press it down again. Best to order the Brabantia 60-80L size bags made for this bin – they do fit , I bought this for my dad who had a very poor plastic bin whose lid kept falling off and was irritating to say the least. Don’t use those free bags you get through the door – they are too small and thin for the 60L of waste weight. Easy to clean . Would buy again .
The door opening action is delightful, a short and gentle touch leads to a satisfying click, the quick but not aggressive withdrawal of the hand frees the lid to raise gracefully, but importantly not slowly. This mechanism reveals a opening with a wide aperture, easily capable of accepting even the largest microwave meal trays without touching the sides.
Whilst the bin works well with the normal supermarket black sacks, having purchased a bin of such quality, you’ll no longer be wanting to use those. The custom Brabantia bin bags, complete with their chuckle inducing “Das Binliner” joke and high quality ties, fit the bin perfectly and clearly demonstrate to any on looking neighbour, passerby or sedentary vagrant that you are a person of keen intellect and class.

Quality of this bin is superb. I’m over the moon.
This is replacing one of those sensor bins which has a broken lid after 18 months.
The difference in quality of this Brabantia to the old one really shows up. Not even missing the sensor operation which was activating every time you walked past. Even my Labradors tail would set it off which became an annoying nuisance.
The touch bin action of the Brabantia is excellent and well engineered.
Hopefully with a 10 year guarantee it should give good service for years and years.

Was fed up with my 30l bin and having to empty it all the time. Upgraded to this one and highly impressed. easy to clean and fits in well with my kitchen. Fantastic quality as has become the norm for Brabantia. I use it with the proper bin bags but see no reason why black bags could not be used.

Good bin, tricky to clea
Ordered this as I wanted a sturdy, large kitchen bin, and as far as those requirements go, I’m very happy. Would have been better if it had handles (little bits of plastic sticking out on the sides don’t count and are next to no use!) to aid moving when cleaning the kitchen. Cleaning the bin itself is tricky – even using bags, there’s always going to be a smell eventually, but there’s a ridge around the inside of the bin at the bottom which traps any little bits which somehow make their way in there, and it’s very hard to clean as it’s quite tight between the ridge and the walls of the bin itself.
Other than that, am happy with it, although it is a bit overpriced even for a metal bin. Hope the lid (which opens and closes very nicely, and doesn’t seem too fragile on the catch) lasts as long as the bin itself, as a replacement is about half the price of the entire bin!

I bought this bin to upgrade from a 30 litre pedal bin.
The fact I don’t have to keep pushing down on a foot pedal and accidentally move the bin backwards into a wall makes my life easier.
This bin lid is always so super clean and easy to use.

There is no way any bin bags will snag on the inside of this bin – really well designed.
If only the bin emptied itself and took the bin bag to the curb on bin day – that’s the next step forward in bin technology!

Honestly, best bin I’ve ever bought. My fianc would complain heavily about the shape of our last bin as he could never get the bag out without it ripping, so when that bin broke I decided to purchase this one. My fianc prevented me from buying this one in the past as too expensive he said…..of course he really likes it! No problem getting a bin bag out after it’s full. The best thing I love, NO FINGER PRINTS!!! It looks pristine all the time! Never thought I’d love a bin so much nor did I think I would mention it so much as I do on how good it is. I bought this bin over a year ago and still looks as good as new. I highly recommend. It’s an excellent quality bin.
