Tips To Achieve The Sharpest Paint Lines

Clean Surface & Let DrySand then clean the area you will be masking and painting before you tape to make sure the surface is dust free. Use a damp sponge and a few drops of washing up liquid mixed in a bucket of warm water. This tape is good at its job
This is great tape. The adhesion is sticky enough to stay in place while working but not so sticky that you can’t pull it off easily. It does just come straight back off without leaving any glue behind. I don’t try and stretch it or I don’t think it would work as well keeping a clean edge while painting and there is not so much give in the tape that a stretch would happen where I wouldn’t want it. I won’t be going back to masking tape!

I had to stick paper up at a window for a few weeks. It worked a treat and left no residue on the glass when I removed it.

Easy to place and a roll of this covers skirting, and the ceiling of a reasonably sized room . It makes your paint job look very professional when you remove from corners, skirting and the ceiling edges after finishing the walls.

Indoor use
Frog tape was really easy to use and very adhesive. It’s more for indoor use but worked outdoors as well.
Amazing quality and does the job just as described. Bought this to do a feature wall in my daughters room. I work in construction and I do a lot of painting from time to time. Even at that cutting in 2 different colours on a corner is never an easy task. This was my first time using this tape and the results were amazing. Perfect straight lines after I removed the tape.
Tips:
Take your time putting on the tape, dont rush it or it will show after painting.
Tear the tape in small strips such as 8-10 inches, I know this seems stupid but if you tear the tape in 18-24 inch lengths it is a lot harder to apply and keep straight. Its a few more minutes but definitely worth it.
Peel off tape immediately after painting as the paint can dry on the tape and when you peel it, it can pull the paint.
I put tape on the ceiling as well and a little bit of paint came off but I just touched it up with white emulsion.
Works well
Works great for doing abstract designs on walls. It sticks really well so there’s no colour bleeding and is very easy to remove.

As a bit of a perfectionist in the decorating area I had great difficulty getting straight lines near the edges on the ceilings. I used masking tape and rulers initially and it was just a waste of time. I then did a bit of research and found frog tape. I was a bit dubious at first as I was worried it would pull the paint away but thought ill just give it a go. I’m so glad I did, I was pleasantly surprised by the how good it was. Worth every penny in my opinion. My bathroom has near perfect lines and no paint was pulled off when removing the tape. Brilliant product.

Just brillia
Brought a professional finish to the painting of my coving. Used to hate trying to follow the line by hand and always made a mess. Fixed the tape about 1/8″ below the coving and painted it not worrying when my brush overlapped the tape. Left it about 10 mins and then peeled it off downwards and across. Didn’t pull any of the wall paint off underneath. Same process for painting the wall only the other way round. Fantastic product.
Makes painting easie
The old man is on a painting mission and I bought his in bulk. He finds it very easy to use and makes life a whole lot easier. One lesson he did learn though was that the green one needs to be taking of the coving quickly IF used on that.

I’ll be using this for all painting jobs moving forward. Worth the money for a job done right first time.

The only masking tape I will now buy
I was recommended Frog Tape by someone who works as a painter & decorator. They said the higher price was worth every penny, and they were correct. I have such beautiful clean lines around the chimney breast of my lounge.

No more buying cheap masking tape for me. This is a revolution and works brilliantly. Used to create sharp lines on a wall deisgn, and not a single bleed or run and it peeled off a treat. Well worth the extra monty.

Very good quality
Actually really good good quality. Friend suggested I didn’t there was a difference of house the output becomes. Used other tapes and it true when removing it rips paint. Also after painting peal of early don’t leave it for nigh

Great tape
This is the best tape for decorating that I have used. Easy to use, VERY sticky but so easy to remove. The green colour makes it easy to see whether you have removed it all too.

Use this tape whenever I’m painting. So easy to use, gives a smooth line and when it comes to removing the tape it leaves no sticky gunk behind….perfect.

Absolute rubbish pull the paint off of the wall when removed. Followed the instructions and left new paint for 4 days before applying.

The roll was covered in fine dust on arrival but didn’t cause any problems to the use or adhesive ness of the product.
The tape could be stretched if needed and we were able to move positions with it if we changed our minds.
Would highly recommend over other products.

Good within its limitations.
Generally a good product, but no use at all on water-based garden paint. Used to mask the window frame on a summer house. When removed, most of the paint under the tape came with it. (Nice clean sharp line for the frame paint though.) Use it with care.
Worth the extra cost to save you looking at dodgy paint lines for the next couple of years
Honestly slight skeptical of the reviews, but this tape a world away from from your normal normal making tape. If you’re amateur diyer just buy the thick version this one, some good rollers, some dust sheets, some quality paint (try lick it seems to last longer than dulux) and you’ll have good results. Don’t forget to remove the tape just after you’ve completed your last coat.
I usually go for the mega cheap, three-for-a-quid, masking tape, and wonder why I get rubbish results. My son saw this geometric wall painting pattern on Tik Tok and wanted to do it. Frog tape had been recommended and so that’s what we used.

Good for the majority of surfaces
Used this on a variety of surfaces and I know understand which ones are perfect to put on and take off and those to avoid:
Good:
Matt walls
Skirting boards
Other wood surfaces
Bad:
Walls that use bathroom paint / kitchen paint (those that are classed as ‘easy to wipe’ – all these surfaces, the tape tears the paint off the walls and on occassions will not stay stuck to the walls so you end up painting through the bleed
Wallpaper – depends on the thickness
I deducted the one star for using this on the bathroom walls (where edge meets ceiling) and it made a complete mess by taking the paint off – so I had to then alter and put the tape on the ceiling to paint the walls again where the tape ripped the paint!!

If you have any job where getting a crisp clean edge is important then this is the tape you want. Sticks well, wont leak and pulls off cleanly. It’s not cheap but for the important jobs (or the ones you don’t want to spend twice the time tidying up), i’d recommend this.

Great produc
Short review – Used to create a two tone painted wall. Went on very easily. Thickness we bought was perfect for rolling over lines and removed quite easily. If fixing be sure to use a firm hand to ensure upon tape removal none has sneaked into small gaps uve left.
Highly Recommend if want accuracy!

I’m by no means a professional painter but this tape OMG this tape is exactly what i needed in my life!! I’ve done 2 rooms with it and as long as you take it off before the paint is fully dry as it advises then its close to perfect. I wouldnt pain without it ever! Got 2 more rooms to go and I’ll be ordering more. It took a roll and a half to do the 2 rooms pictured so it’s a great amount considering all the tiles, cupboards, ceiling and skirting boards i had to go around. Highly recommended

The Frogtape is a good product however if You are using it the pain on wallpaper lining,it is very easy to apply, however on removing it some off the paint actually comes up off the wallpaper lining.Having to redo and bits it again.It is still a good product though,I have also tried on paining a concrete wall and wood and works perfectly.

We used this to paint specific areas on a wall. The tape stuck to the wall well, we were really pleased to see no paint leaked through or underneath and the end result was great. So much better than normal tape we use.

I used this paint a feature wall in my hallway. It was easy enough to apply and gave me perfect straight lines. I thought the tape was quite thin so added another strip to make sure I didn’t miss my mark. I would recommend but if I was to buy again I would go for the wider variety.

FrogTape Green Multi Surface Painters Masking Tape 36mm x 41.1m great stuff
Always I use frog tape for serious painting jobs. This seemed genuine . Haven’t used it yet but I am sure it will be up to scratch. Just a bit disappointed I had to get it online.

I use this for painting, but not as the manufacturers intended. I do gouache and airbrush paintings on heavyweight paper and use this to hold the paper securely in place on a large drawing board, for which it is superb as it eventually comes away without damaging the paper. I have in the past used it for masking whilst house decorating and can verify that is does an excellent job of that too.

Great masking tape
Bought to help mask off areas for painting on a guitar. Really easy to use, sticks nicely and didn’t let the paint seep through. No residue left when taken off, and the case it comes in is handy to keep it stored

Frog tape review
This is a really good product and we have used it extensively while decorating our house. Not as sticky as masking tape, so a great buy
Better than normal tape
Does work much better than standard tape, still does leave some bleeding if not careful. Still better to apply lacquer or caulk round edges and wipe down with wet wipe to ensure tight seal and laser straight paint lines

Game change
Always used masking tape, never will I ever again, this stuff is the bomb, placed right when painting, glossing skirtings ect, cuts down painting time loads and actually makes it enjoyable. I did drip paint onto the tape multiple times and it didn’t seep through, when initially placing the tape I did think it didn’t feel thick enough so did worry but when removed, lines were straight nothing was ruined! And it looked like I knew what I was actually doing! Brilliant stuff will always use this now

Amazing. Done the job I wanted it for. Which was to experiment and do some pattern painting on a wall. It stuck fine doesn’t seap through. But make sure when you stick it down run ur hands across its not a miracle worker you have to press over with your hand or some edges won’t stick itself. The tape was wider than I expected but that’s because I didn’t look at sizing. However it created a great look so I’m happy. You get alot. With the patter I did I then did it on another large wall and had enough. So a 4mtre long wall and this 1 metre wall. (in width). Good price aswell
Great tape
Used this stuff for years. Not the cheapest, but high quality and still pretty good value. I’ve used enough c**p masking tape in my time to appreciate the difference. Strong enough to do the job, but easy to tear lengths off when you’re laying it. Always a nice clean edge.
Not 100%
I had a lot of skirting boards and facings to paint so bought a lot of this tape. Quite easy to work with, but on a (very) few occasions when I removed it, it took some of the paint off the wall as well. It was a nuisance as I then had to refresh the paint on the wall!
Perfect for siliconing my sink :)
Had some standard masking tape that would not for the love of god stick to the surface (while laminate top) but this stuff was brill, stuck well, didn’t allow any bleed of silicone (black silicone onto a white top is risky, and visible)
Take worked wonders, and peeled off with relative ease

Easy clean finish
Love the look and the packaging. Really easy to use and doesn’t lose its stick when readjusting. Easy to paint over and when peeling this tape off the wall it offers a really clean nice finish and does not pull any paint off the wall. I will be buying this again when it comes to painting more rooms
Great tape to use for lines
Good tape for doing the perfect lines, and nice it sticks to the wall. My tip to make sure it doesn’t bleed through is just rub a bit of caulkers product along the edges as this does stop any bleeding. Then just paint over and pull off.
