Works well and does what it says. Good option if you want the reliability of a known brand but don’t want to fork out for expensive hose options, autorecoil etc.
Bought this primarily as a reel for a hose not really thinking about long term placement but I would have loved to have been able to fix it to a wall. Works well and the hose quality is great!
This is a like-for-like replacement of a Hozelock reel that I’ve had for at least 15 years so confident it will last. It was beginning to show its age though and recently had to cut off split sections so was starting to get shorter than I need. It’s still fine as an extension though. This is a bit more discrete colour than my old bright yellow hose on green reel, so looks better left out but time will tell if that means I keep tripping over it!
The only other difference between them is that the tap connection hose now clicks on to the reel with a connector rather than permanently linked which means it will be easier to connect the second hose to it.
Easy to assembly – I managed it fine without having to bother with undoing the screws. No leaks. Just take the whole hose off to get the parts.
It may well have been my fault, I left it out in the sun and connected to a sprinkler. When I came to put it away at the end of the day, the end connected to the sprinkler had bulged and contorted in a way that caused this small tear. However I would think this is still within normal use so I’m rather surprised.
It hasn’t started leaking yet so I’ll probably just cut this section out and just shorten the hose slightly.
Evening else in the kit has been fantastic.
A recently purchased item, of smart appearance, well made and of a decent size but compact also. I was especially pleased with the build quality of the hose which has a rib on either side which improves its lifespan with less chance of it splitting. Item was easy to assemble comes with the various connections needed, so up and running In no time. Overall a good purchase, there are cheaper similar items out there but personally I would rather pay the extra for the quality.
First thing to note is that the hose comes packed for the buyer to assemble. This involves cutting off a small length off the hose for connecting to the tap, and then routing the main hose through the reel to the internal connection. It’s a bit fiddly and I think that some people could certainly struggle with it. The hose itself is fine, but can be prone to kinks. Winding the hose onto the reel is also not easy due to the fact that the hose is heavy and the reel is light and can take some time. A pain to do every time you use the reel. Next time around, I might get an auto-rewind reel.
Bought to replaced a tired old no brand hose. This works well and it’s worth paying more for a market leader in garden equipment. We don’t always need he tap connector as we have an outdoor tap but it’s always useful to own. The mechanism works well.
Great hose once you get it made up and all attached and working.
It is a bit tricky knowing which attachment fit hose and which fit tap. Fortunately this is a replacement hose and I was able to compare to what I was taking off.
Was a bit of a faff assembling and. As. Others have said it does kink Terribly if you’re not careful.
Really happy with this hose reel, does all that it says and it was easy to put together once I watched the video online. Just wish I had bought one that fixes to the wall or one with a heavy base so it doesn’t pull around when walking the hose out and makes it easier when reeling it back in.
I found this quite hard to assemble (my brother did it and he’s usually good at this kind of thing). It leaks a little on the inside, until you turn it on. After that, it works well, nice and long, and I like how it comes with all the fittings you need.
Great hose….use youtube video to explain how to install. Once installed so easy to use and store away.
Easy instructions how to assemble without getting the complete tool box out other than that a hose pipe is a hose

Bought a couple of cheap products in the past. Don’t waste your time and invest in this brand
After I had finally located the correct video on YouTube, so I could actually assemble this correctly, it works just fine. The instruction leaflet that comes with it, is about as useful as a piece of used toilet paper – but Hozelock have an excellent video on Youtube to assist – you just need to find the right one for your hose.
Arrived next day and free delivery, usually have to pay for next day delivery. Very impressed. Item is as expected. Easy to use.
Assembly is a bit of a faff as needs screwdriver and a strong grip to tighten joints. They still haven’t solved the winding, could do with a pipe guide otherwise it all ends up on one side of the reel and then falls off the edge.
Hose is strong and the sprayer ok but would recommend getting a gun style head.

No problem with delivery. However, there was a crucial item missing from the package, essential to make the product useable initially.
Contacted the Hozelock Customer Services and they were very efficient in sending out the missing part (see image), which arrived promptly. Credit to them for addressing this issue so well.
With this part the assembly of the product could be completed and thoroughly tested. All works as expected and very pleased with the product.
I like this product easy to use. Easy to assemble just read the instructions first I forgot to put the spring in the hose so had to take it back apart. You will need a screw driver too to open the bit inside the house reel.
One thing I don’t like, you have to cut abit of the hosepipe to run from your reel to the tap. I used scissors to cut approximately 1m length, aslong as it reaches the tap from the floor that’s all you need to cut.
Easy to assemble very manoeuvrable. I love this hose probably the best ever. Use it often and it is so flexible for front of house garden plants and back! Very easy to handle, stretches well, it is lightweight but powerful too, would deffinately recommend
Replacement for an old hose. Not a fan of the tap connectors & had to buy a separate one. I have low water pressure so had to cut off the end to use. Not a fault with the produc
Great product, took ten minutes to set up, and we were hosing down the garden with ease. 25 metres of hose goes a long way, so it’s well worth the money!!

This is an excellent lightweight hose system for small gardens & patios etc. Be sure to read the instructions ( in the fittings bag ) before fitting connectors & connecting to tap etc.

Firstly, I was a bit surprised the hose and reel needed to be assembled, but that seems to be the way of things today. The assembly instructions are in picture form which makes it difficult (impossible in my case) to figure out you need to undo the screws holding the hose connector to the reel. In the end I resorted to the internet and discovered Hozelock had put a really clear video of the assembly process on YouTube. Pity they did not think to share the web address in the assembly instructions – it would have saved a lot of time. When undoing/replacing the screws a magnetic screwdriver comes in very useful.

Good product but more detailed instructions to assemble would be advantageous. Also when picture instruct state a part number of would be helpful if actual item was marked with its number. Would buy again.
Super practical and convenient. I purchased to use it with a power washer, ended up using this instead of the washer (albeit with less pressure ofcourse) No mess, very light to move around and to store away
With the exception of the connecting of the pipe to the inner hub of the storage hub, this was easy to assemble and worked first time. I would recommend that you test the connection for leaks before you roll up the hose to save yourself time and possible frustratio

Great product light and easy to carry compact reel case but when putting together took while to connect inner connection of hose pipe in reel case as had to remove small panel at front and connector to connect inner hose pipe then reattach to reel and put back panel had to phone seller for help then easy to do but instruction leaflet not clear as section photo missing would still recommend produc
It is a standard reinforced hose on a dispenser reel which needs to be assembled and can be fiddly but once completed and leak proof is okay. Dont like the fact that you can’t wall mount the dispenser as it’s a pain trying to extend it to full length by just pulling it. That becomes a two man job. Wall mount option is far more expensive.
I got this as it was 30m which is longer than the 10m karcher one I already had. Amazon wants me to make comments on manoeuvrability but I have it set in one spot and pull the hose to the place I need it and don’t move the base around. The best thing is that when I turn the tap one water comes out the hose and I can aim it where I want.
A bit of figuring out how to assemble to begin with. Easy to manoeuvre and excellent for all the jobs I need it for. Very oleased with this item and would recomnend.

How ridiculous and cheapskate is it that it does not arrive with the inner connection pre assembled..how much would it cost to pre install the spring and attach the hose..penny pinching in the extreme.
Easy to set up, hosepipe is very robust, easy to unwind and wind back up, hose reel is very sturdy I would recommend
I’ve bought multiple cheap hoses for garden use over the years, wish i’d just saved the time and money and just bought a hozelock one to begin with!
This hose currently feels like it will last indefinitely, unlike some other budget products which often crack or split after a few years of outdoor use.
The reel is solid and can be wall mounted, easy to wind the hose back up on to when not in use.
Hose quality is excellent, thick yet flexible rubber. Connects perfectly to hozelock and many other compatible accessories.
If i’m being forced to pick one small grumble its that connected the hose inside the real itself can be a little awkward and needs to be connected the correct way around to avoid excess strain / bend on the hose, although if this were to split you can always cut a little shorter and restart with a fresh section of hose.
Overall excellent quality product from hozelock at a reasonable price.

This replaced the more expensive hose and reel that had metal stabilizers and was fairly sturdy. This is less stable but functions ok. My advice would be to buy the more expensive unit for added stability and practicality.

Easy enough to prepare but the end part basically never stops of putting out water. I found out that you have to cut part of the pipe to make a proper installation and that was a bit unexpected. Above all really good quality

Once you have got it assembled it work pretty well. Connecting the hose to the inside of the reel is a bit of a fiddle but you only have to do it once. Test for water tight fit BEFORE you wind it up. You may need to bend hose near the connection to get a good windup the first time. Much easier on a hot and sunny day with the hose super flexible. The RED connector goes on the end with the jet.
Includes all the attachments you need for a hose set. You need to cut a short length of the hose off the reel and attach the supplied connectors to it. This will attach the reel to your tap. The hose end attatches to the reel easily and to stop the pipe pinching it comes with a spring insert. It’s fiddly to get in but does the job.
Apart from having to bend down to rewind the hose, it couldn’t get any easier to use. Place it on a chair and that problem is solved. One of the best products I’ve invested in. The hose is soft and can kink if you are not careful but the hose’s flexibility far outweighs this inconvenience.

I was confused before place an order as read about negative reviews but once see the quality product with delivery service, it’s clear my mind. It is high quality hose compared to previous one and easy to assemble like 123.
Now, I have to wait and see how long it lasts before submitting another review but I will highly recommend to buy this product.

An excellent product, just what I wanted but I wasn’t happy when I found the same product 13 cheaper in Tesco.
Not the easiest to assemble and the instructions weren’t as clear as they should be. Nevertheless, once assembled, this is a good hosepipe for my needs (30m is a good size) and does the job well. I haven’t had many problems with twists and kinks that are difficult to untangle (yet) and with some care one can wind it around the wheel quite easily.

Bought to replace a flat hose that did nothing but kink and stop working. This one doesn’t kink and works even when most of it is still on the reel. Should have bought one of these long ago.

Compact , value for money water hose. You have to unwind the hose to get the parts out to connect it and it could be improved by being able to attach it to the wall. However it was easy to use with a good quality hose.
Easy to set up and use and easy to manoeuvre once set up in the garden. The hose does seem to easily twist causing pinch points in the hose which may lead to the hose degrading in time.
Very good quality hose pipe. I used a YouTube tutorial to make sure I set it up right and its just perfect for the job. Great price and delivery.
