The ctronics camera is the best camera I've ever purchased easy set up
I like this product it rotates left right up and down to cover any angles you may need. It has a neat talk through feature and has 4 menacing led light that are blinding and would frighten an intruder away. Night vision is excellent gives a very clear picture. Camera works well with moderate rainshowers and drys quick leaving no water marks on protective lens that effects the camera vision.the intelligent tracking is spot on it will lock on to an intruder track their movements and will alert you by email with a video or photo as you wish.Excellent security camera

Good quaility, solid Camera
Have to say I’m impressed with these camera’s, this is the second one I’ve bought.
The motion detection can differentiate between humans and animals which is handy for reducing false triggers.
The quality of the picture at night is excellent very clear and able to see a lot of detail, infra-red or colour night vision are both very good.
I haven’t used the mic to talk to anyone yet so can’t comment on that bit but the sound you can hear is very acceptable.
I think for the price point these cameras come in at you’d be hard pushed to find a better one to be honest.
Customer service doesn’t seem bad either I emailed Ctronics a couple of times with different questions and got answers the next day.
All in all I’m more than happy with the camera’s I’ve got.

An honest review
This product is very good. Picture quality is good and easily controlled by the phone. Installation was fairly easy and the app was easy to download. Connecting the camera to the app was slightly complicated so had to get my son to work it out. Works by WiFi so can go offline now and again (which is annoying) but the good thing is it keeps on recording. It has a security light so you can record in colour at night or night vision is in black and white. Takes a SD card so records and stores a lot. Has human detection and follows that person however, it sometimes can be a bit slow but issues could be to do with the WiFi connection. Can also pick up number plates if close enough. You can also watch live view. It is good for the price and I would recommend it.
Decent camera, poor Ctronic app.
Pleasently surprised by the picture quality. Night vision is also very good in colour. Using it with the Ctronic App which does not connect a lot of the time and will randomly lose connection most of the time. You need to swipe the screen to pan the camera view which is an absolute pain! Would have been nice if the wires could be tucked into the mounting bracket. Had to get a junction box to put the wiring in. 6/10

I bought 2 of these cameras one for the front of my house and one for the rear of my property. After reading the reviews I thought these were worth taking a chance, after looking at more expensive ones. I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed they are a bargain. Well worth the price night time vision is really clear the tracking features are incredible and you don’t pay any subscription fee for data storage.

Easy to set up and very stable. Great picture quality even at night when it automatically switches to night vision as soon as the light gets low. Motion detection and tracking work well.
The app works well on my mobile phone and I can view real time or stored images and video recordings on demand. Connect using wifi or cable to internal network. It even has built in 2 way sound

Okay so 1st i never leave reviews but always read them so i figured this time i need to! I needed a security camera and my anxiety sas a bit high wothout one so spent a while looking, This is the best freaking camera ever! My friends have the 250 ring one.. and this is better! No monthly fee because its all on a memory card, it can move and track things on its own, but you can postion it when you are out (if just want a quick check) night vision.. wow.. just eveything about this camera i think is amazing! Only thing i suggest is plugging it in to internet cable when setting up..makes things easier but thats a one time thing! Honestly best thing i have bought in a long time!

Good clear images
Having had initial teething problems with the camera I’m now satisfied with the performance. We don’t have a static IP address so every Sunday connection would be lost meaning a full set up to reconnect to our devices. We solved this by fitting a permanent cable between the camera and the router.
Picture quality is excellent, night vision is very good, tracking is good to a degree, sometimes it tracks for quite a distance, sometimes it doesn’t. Occasionally the camera picks up and records cats going past its field of vision as ‘humanoids’
It’s easy to adjust the camera once linked to a device. Overall I am happy with the cameras performance.
Don’t expect any help with issues from the manufacturer or seller.

I’m over the moon with this camera for lambing time. I was sceptical but didn’t want to pay the big money of the specialist livestock camera companies.
I set it up in under five mins. Quality is great. Easy to use. Night vision is fantastic.
With no wifi in the yard I’m running it on an old wireless mini 4G router and transferring data from my unlimited phone contract so costs pennies a month for the sim. If you have wifi in the yard, even easier.
Pan and tilt work well but the controls are ‘backwards’ when you swipe, but that’s only a minor point, you soon get it right.

Night vision is good quality and also can have night vision in colour as lights come on on the camera. Motion detection is good and picks up movement and follows the movement.

This is my second camera and if I did require any more then this would be the model to buy.
A doddle to set up if you have a basic knowledge of networking and if not follow the instructions and you’l get there.
I can access it via a PC using DDNS, or the app and am also able to download footage directly from the SD card.
Picture is very clear at night and during the day.
The alarm notification works well.
All in all I am more than pleased with this camera.
Thoroughly recommended.

Great picture
The camera works really well and easy to install. Phone set up was slightly more challenging, Chinese to English lost in translation. Basically install the app to your phone, scan the code on the back off the camera which is nice and easy. Then search for the camera in WiFi settings and use the cameras default password to connect,and your own routers details to add it to your network (good luck?) I’ve only had it a few weeks but really happy with it, just hope it lasts

This camera has really impressed me in all areas, clarity of picture, night vision, colour night vision and motion detection.
The set up.process is easy enough. I’ve set it up to my synology diskstation NAS and my mobile devices.
I’ve not fitted it to the wall yet as I wanted to test its qualities before installation incase I had to send it back. I should’ve just fitted it because I’m definitely keeping it and will definitely be buying more from these guys.

I have a problem with getting info to input FTP. Where do I get the info from on an iPad? do I need to install a SD card? How do you set it for alerts? I have a decent picture but can’t get it to focus. I am a complete layman when it comes to electronics as I’m old school and used to string & tin cans I would appreciate as much advice as possible please. Thank you

Great value camera
The camera has been operational for nearly a month now. Ordered it for my in-laws to be used as a calving camera on the farm. Very easy to install and set up, the instructions in the booklet are easy to follow. Excellent picture quality both at day and night. Never tested CCTV as they are not necessary in this case. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant, clear videos but easy to use. Great product and service 👍👍
This camera is first class. It took five minutes to fix to a wall, ten minutes to connect to my phone – then I followed the instructions and it took a minute! Connection worked first time then. Simple to operate with superb picture quality, both colour by day and infra red by night. It saves to the sad card in various time frames. I set it to 15 minutes, so I have 24 hour coverage saved every 15 minutes, and the replays are great. Remove movement can be achieved using the phone, but the human detection setting is very accurate and triggers an alarm system which then creates a smaller time capture on the SS card. It follows the person where ever they go to. If you want 24 hours recording and full time live pictures, you need to use a LAN cable to your PC. You can however, have live pictures to your mobile device, in any event, so it’s not a great problem. I have contacted the Support department, via email, and they have been very efficient and quick responding. So overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, which replaced an indoor camera from elsewhere, and would not work at night.

Amazing quality easy to set up night vision is the best Iv seen in along time for the money had a giggle with the dog barking alarm I.e can turn that off or have a personalised one , love it getting another for back of the house as u can have 4 cameras on the app human tracking work perfectly too !!!

I have two of these and the WiFi was constantly dropping, I’d be turning them off and on daily, however I may have stumbled on to a fix. I have one hardwired now and it never drops off the network. with my second I’ve run a cable, which is connected on the camera side, but not on the other end. I have got round to running the cable inside the house, but I’ve noticed the camera hasn’t been up for 4 days, no drop offs!? Could be coincidental but here’s to hoping.
If it does start causing an issue I’ll just hardwire it, like I’ve done the other one.

Instructions are very poo
Picture quality is good. However its slow to wake up so misses some activity and I am really struggling to work out how to pick up some of the recordings from the app. Some are fine others dont seem to be there. It might be me not fully understanding it but I’m usually ok with tech.

Excellent product, simple to set up and configure, lovely clear images both night and day. Bought during an offer so superb value for money. Instructions are not the best for fitting but really isn’t difficult to work out.
ctronics PTZ Auto Tracking Camera - Excelle
Ok, so not sure if I should spend big bucks or not on a FOSCAM or other thought I would take a chance with the ctronics. It arrived today and the setup was really quick and easy. I was able to setup wirelessly didn’t need to connect to the LAN via a cable.
My main trial was on the FTP side I wanted to be sure that the device will deliver good quality picture night and day and send to my QNAP via FTP. It hasn’t let me down, played around with all the features and I love the fact that when it detects human motion you can configure it to play a barking dog sound. Gimmick or realistic! Well the other half was convinced there was a barking dog outside. The Dog also thought there was another dog outside so seem to have the desired effect.
I will install it properly at the front of the house tomorrow now I have played and am happy with the results. Unfortunately it doesn’t interface with Google Home etc. However the fact it triggers when someone is identified and then FTP’s the Video and Photo’s to my QNAP as well as alert me on the phone it’s great.
Particularly the price tag. With the voucher offered on Amazon I have paid 51.00 I was going to pay 249 for a FOSCAM that doesn’t have the auto tracking feature.
I read a lot of reviews I saw some negatives, like only 1 camera and how does the FTP work and other such ones. The app has facility for 4 cameras so obviously it takes more than 1. I may order a 2nd one for the rear of my house. The FTP was a breeze as is the SMTP Email of Photos and Video.
All round very happy for the price and the quality of what I have received.
2 weeks on I have taken this camera a step further and using QNAP QVR_Pro now have 24×7 cctv. I appreciate having technical knowledge helps. However the tech has to work and this camera really has me blown away. Real sense of comfort that we have this given a recent spate of breaking. Using the QNAP gives me a great option to export footage to submit to a relevant authority and I am letting QNAP take the control of all features and it works perfectly including the auto tracking. Super buy.
Update: I purchased a 2nd one of these and have great coverage of the front and back of my house. A great deterrent and they work perfectly. I have them both connected to my QNAP and have 14 days of retrievable footage from both cameras. So glad I didn’t go spend 250+ each on top brand names when these do the job. Can’t fault them in anyway.

Have to say this is a very very good camera, bit annoying to set up but once you get to grips with it it’s easy to do if you need to do it again. I have been telling everyone how great this camera is – it’s much better than what I was expecting!
The app is great with various options for alarms and recording, motion detection etc. Range is great so have no problems with connection to the Wi-Fi – camera is about 30m away from house and out of sight. Camera will automatically track any people but sometimes mistakes wheelie bins for people, but don’t let that put you off! Night vision is exceptional and switches automatically. Quality of images and video is very good indeed. Speaker and microphone work very well, picks up absolutely everything.
Only annoying thing was the length of the reset button and the Ethernet cable – would be great if you could remove it all at the camera so you could feed it through the wall, making installation better. I cut of the Ethernet cable as it will never be used.

Fairly easy to set up from instructions, which need to be read a couple of times. (Can still only get it to record 15 seconds at a time on the alarm record despite changing to 60 seconds and setting it to apply…Maybe I need to read the information again?) Brilliant view even at night, especially the infrared. (Have seen hares and deer. 🙂 ) Zoom is only digital and view not so good in the rain at night (so only 4* for motion detection and picture quality) and it alarm records all the time in the rain, but it does say that.. Pan and tilt work well. Using the camera wired to wifi extender due to location required. Overall gives us a great view across the area we want to see most of the time with ongoing recording as needed. Great item for the the price.

This is the second Ctronics camera I’ve purchased. Based on value for money I’ll give this model 5 stars. The picture quality is good, both day and night, and it comes with quite a few variables to play around around with. It’s quite easy to set up and the Ctronics app is also very user friendly as you can load all your Ctronics camera’s on to one viewing platform. I also can’t fault the helpline who repsonded quickly and helped me solve a problem, which turned out to be user error.
You will need an IP65 junction box if fitting them outside as the power/control cables are quite short. You’re also likely to need an extension for your power cable and ethernet cable if you’re going direct to your router. All in I’m very happy with these cameras, I bought them on offer for less than 50, fantastic value.
I’ll definitely be buying a third Ctronics camera and adding it to my collection.

On a budget this works well.
Image quality would have liked to have been better. But for the price it’s good.
Installed for only 2 days and already helped apprehend a thief trying car doors in our road.
He had the elderly neighbours worried and afraid for some weeks.
The camera alerted me via my phone at 1am that someone was in the road.
Caught him red handed. And now he is gone. 🙂
360 spin great camera
This camera is absolutely fantastic. The night vision picture quality is amazing and so clear. It has motion detection so always records at the right time. It’s 360 spin feature is great for being able to simply move the camera to whichever angle you need it at. I use this camera to watch my car and am not always able to park in the same spot, so being able to simply spin the camera to point at the car is brilliant. I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting that extra bit of security.

has moved off target by itself for no reason but this can be checked and corrected in live view via the app
Install was pretty straight forward

The built in led floodlight is very bright and works really good for night vision
Only issues encountered so far are
Dropped connection – so far it has only done this twice since install which means you cannot access the camera remotely and have to physically power the camera off then reboot it
Memory card – not sure if it will support a 128gb card but i am going to give it a go as soon as i can as the data gets overwritten after around 5 to 6 hours unless you have time to download the footage via the app
with the connection issues mentioned above it would give a bit more backup time
Another issue is the two way speaker i can hear the sound from the camera but cannot speak to anyone in view of the camera – also you can hear a faint buzzing noise on the sound from the microphone
One other issue is the recording time as it only records in about 15 minute chunks
so you could miss a small amount of footage each time it starts a new recording
Viewing live or recorded data from the camera via the app works well having used it on an iphone, ipad also android fone
Pretty happy with the product does exactly what it was purchased for at a very reasonable price would definately reccomend this product

Good all round performance for the money
I purchased two of these for surveillance front and rear of our property, particularly for remote monitoring during away times (fitted 64GB micro SD card).
Be aware that despite the wide panning ability the camara remains at one (configurable) position which is the alarm ‘trigger’ view, also further defined by an adjustable window within that view. Once triggered with human recognition switched on, the camera will pan/ tilt (not zoom) to track movement, after which it returns to the view as above. You can not define an automatic sequence. of views
Positives:
Relatively easy to set up & install (make sure to configure and test connection to your router before you mount externally!)
Performs surprisingly well for a camera at this price point
Human recognition and tracking generally very good (not perfect – see below)

Negatives:
Installation: If you want no wires showing, a large hole needs to be drilled behind the mounting plate to accomodate the built in cables/ moulded connectors (20mm dia min)
Control/ monitoring: This camera has no encryption and is based on P2P and ONVIF hence relatively insecure – I turned ONVIF off but kept P2P as it makes it easy to access the camera off site (ie via internet) using a smartphone app. – you pays yer money and takes yer choice! The Citronics app is basic but ok, however I found the CamHiPro app better. The web interface gives access to more settings
Performance: Whilst the human recognition is good, I found that alarms are also triggered by similar sized groups of pixels changing, for example the plume of steam from my central heating boiler, bushes swaying in the wind (try to avoid these when setting the trigger window). Also, all these types of cameras will alarm at night when rain falling past the infra red illumination reaches a certain intensity

Great little camera
Camera came really quick, was easy to set up. Packaged nicely and had instructions for how to set up. I’ve had other cameras from the ctronics range and this one does have the better picture. The others are completely wireless where as this one you need the power cable and can only record to a hard drive. The camera connected to WiFi easily but the only downside it’s a different app to the one that runs the other cameras so can’t have them all in one place but it’s not really a big deal. I would definitely recommend the light is also handy when it picks up motion in the dark. Great value fir money

though you may need a 12v Male Plug: 2.1 x 5.5 x 10mm straight connector to Female socket: 2.1 x 5.5 x 10mm straight connector extension lead.

Technically versatile camera that is adaptable and great value for money
I have to say I was very surprised to see such a well built camera arrive in sound packaging.
The instruction manual was very clear and easy to understand. I firstly downloaded the app to my mobile within the matter of seconds.
The camera comes with with a power cable making this so convenient to place just about anywhere whether it be indoors or outdoors.
No need to hardwire this camera to a recording box or computer even though you can wire to a pc if you wanted.
The camera is adaptable in just about any place in the home. I have used mine externally my power source being a standard 13amp socket this is located internal I have then used a sealed weather box externally for the terminal connection to the camera. It’s so simple.
The camera once powered up is automatically detected on your WiFi detection on your mobile and using the app you can sync the camera. It’s so easy!
Now as for the imaging and detection. Again I am really impressed by the value for money you have two modes of colour. There is your standard colour which basically picks up colour by day and night in its natural environment so you will greyscale at night. Then you have another mode which then allows for full colour at night giving clear identification and if that’s not enough you can also move the head of the camera remotely to detect what you are focusing on. You can zoom in and out also. There is a means of recording which is of great value should you need go over any past events.

Best camera, such good value
Brilliant camera. This is the 2nd ctronics camera I have and they are both brilliant. They are so quick and easy to set up and provide amazing coverage and picture quality to give you that added security for your home. I am so impressed with them, I was a little sceptical with the price at how good they’d be but they are so much better than another well known make my mum has which was 5 times the price. I would not hesitate to buy another if I needed to.

Motion capture camera
My ezviz system stopped working so I have bought 3 off these. Not overly expensive.
They were very easy to set up
I had 3 x 64 GB memory cards from old system so I set them up and barely touched the space on the card.
Playback is very good.
The motion tracking is brilliant and works extremely smoothly.
The pictures them selves are very good but not great.
They can be blurry but still clear enough if required.
Overall worth the money just don’t expect crystal clear images even on the HD settings.

Two years on and still working great!
Can’t go wrong as a deterrent for unwanted intruders. My brother saw mine and ordered two for his house. I just had a technical glitch with the alerts, contacted Eric at technical support and he quickly had it all working again – it turned out be my iphone rather than the Camera – highly recommend the camera and technical support.
Very decent camera
For the price its an excellent camera. Little bit rough around the edges software wise though, but nothing that detract from its purpose. The main issue I have is the strange timing issue when using the talk back funtion in the app. You have to click the button and wait a second or two before talking as it only starts sending out the audio a second or so after you have pressed it.
I would have liked to have had more options for the audio stream such as bit rate as my recording software does not quite support any of the options the camera offers. Also a ceiling mount option would have been good.
But still very happy overall.

Hi, there are many reviews already posted so I will attempt to keep mine brief and to the point.
Whilst I find the picture quality of the camera to be quite good, it does have a slightly “over-processed” look to it. To explain further, if you have ever adjusted a photo on your computer and slightly over-sharpened it, that is the best description I could give: It’s almost as though the sharpening needs toning down a little as the picture is close to becoming pixelated. Night vision is very good but is also a little overdone, the five infra-red LED’s are powerful to the point that anyone in close range is completely whitened out like a ghost, therefore, recognition of a wrong-doer would be impossible in some instances but having said that, the illumination further afield is brilliant with the LEDs illuminating a large area! Tracking can be a bit hit and miss if a person walks at a reasonable pace as the camera has trouble keeping up. Slow walkers are fine though.. so just put up a sign – Burglars please walk slowly in this area! 🙂
Mac users are very poorly served by the software supplied and you will find very limited settings indeed. Luckily enough I also have an iPad on which I can adjust several settings including tracking, night colour (via led lights) and sound. I believe the phone app is the most comprehensive as far as controls are concerned although I have not seen or used the app personally.
Zoom is… well it isn’t, not on a Macbook anyway! You can pinch and expand the pic on the iPad screen which increases the view but it then becomes pixelated anyway so is of limited use only.
So there you are, my overall impression of the camera is, its better than most at the same price and is certainly cheap for a PTZ camera but it does seem to be compromised in its abilities – It does many things well but with none outstanding in their own right, but then it’s all down to the price point I guess. Even though this review may seem quite damning, I certainly wouldn’t say don’t purchase one of these units, as overall I’m very happy with mine for the price paid. I just hope sharing my personal viewpoint has been helpful.
To finish, here is a helpful tip for novices (like myself) – if you choose to hardwire the camera which is so much more reliable than wi-fi, then purchase a good quality cable for example – “Cat 6, 100% Copper, RJ45 External P.O.E. cable” as it’s worth that little extra which you have to pay for it. Also, I discovered “POE Splitter wires” (see pic) which I never knew existed and come in a pair for around 3.50. You simply use one at each end of the RJ45 cable and that will run the camera power via the said cable (hence POE – Power Over Ethernet), you are then running just a single cable from the camera to the router (or NVR recorder). The power transformer for the camera is plugged into an electrical socket next to the routers plug (in my set-up) and I connect my MacBook via router-wi-fi and the downloaded app. In my pictures, you can see that I have placed all the camera wires inside a waterproof box and mounted my camera onto the box to bring it out past that dreaded drainpipe! Smaller boxes are available and are quite cheap and can be placed underneath the camera to contain those loose wires from the camera. Someone else in another Amazon review stated that you can also push the wires into the rear of the camera frame rather than leaving them dangling, so the choice is yours. Well, there you go.. I will add updates should I have any problems with the camera in the near future. One other point before I go is to ensure that you have a reasonable internet speed. My internet is ‘El-Cheapo’ so I’m getting around 5-6 Mbps download speed which does give me a little camera lag and a little research on the net suggested an internet speed of around 7.5 Mbps is ideally required for each camera fitted. 🙁

This is my second outdoor ctronic cameras. Brilliant quality for the money. I had a recording and playback problem. Contacted Elnum at the help centre. He gave me guidance on what to do . It worked. Huge thankyou to Elnum. I am now back up and running again. This camera is used at the rear of my cafe. I feel a lot more secure now .

INITIAL SET UP IS VERY EASY TO DO. PICTURE WAS INSTANT. IT IS A BIT MORE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND SETTINGS THERE AFTER. OVERALL A VERY GOOD CAMERA AT A VERY GOOD PRICE.
