Warms up food really quickly
It’s really effective at warming food and beverages. It has only been overboiled once, and I am pretty bad at correctly checking and setting the time on an analogue microwave. The button to open the microwave keeps popping out though…

Bit smaller than what we were used to but makes up for it in many ways.
Like the way as soon as you plug it in It’s ready to go.
Loving the minute selection. Without programming. Press 2 and you get two minutes. Before had to wait for microwave to come on then type in 2 mins.
Air comes out of back so can put something on top of microwave.
As microwaves go great little product for the money.
Limited capacity
800 watts power. Good range of settings. Oven is adequate. Wouldn’t suit a family. Not much room after one medium size ready meal. Suits me. Price was right. Sturdy build. Like it. Recommend.

Cannot fault this microwave – neat, well finshed and easy to use with a powerful cooking capability. My only gripe would be full size dinner plates are abit of a tight squeeze, but hey I can live with this minor point. Superb!

It’s doing the job and doing it quickly. Space enough for large plates and easy enough instructions for what at first glance looked like a complicated control panel.
The only negative thing I have to say about this is that the clock can only be set in 12-hour mode and has no AM/PM display. Very tiny complaint, can always look out the window to see if it’s day or nigh

I bought this manual after having a digital microwave and much prefer this one. It does exactly what it says it does. Very easy to use. The only downside, the controls are a little on the small side, and a little stiff to turn and may be difficult for older customers, otherwise very pleased with this.

To microwave 1 to 6 mins just press 1 & micro cooks for one min! This works for button 1 to 6 e.g press 3 for 3 mins. No need to press start. That was quite nice.

Bought for elderly person but proved very difficult for them to use because of very small almost illegible dial to set time for programme.
Effective and simple microwave. Does the job of cooking and reheating very efficiently. Compact external dimensions but still has a good internal capacity for cooking.
Lacks the multiple modes and the conventional oven element of the one that it was bought to replace, but I never once used those anyway.
When it arrived the following day I was very excited, I thought it was very light, imagine my disappoint when I opened it and found toilet roll ha ha ha! Told Amazon and got a real one the next day. Thank you Amazon. Does what it says on the box , I only need a microwave to heat stuff up and nothing else, it does that well, only minutes not seconds but good for the price

Simple and useful. Nothing fancy but I wasn’t looking for a fancy model. A bit noisy in a small kitchen, but it is okay as I only use it for short operations.

I haven’t had it long, so not used to it yet. I will need to come back later to add to this review. First impressions are positive though. It looks well made, and does the job. It replaced a really old one, that had become extremely noisy, and was bigger than this, and grey, so to have a nice bright white one, that is much quieter, is a welcome change. I’m so glad I was not put off by some of the bad reviews. I believe if you use things as they were designed, they will be fine. If I don’t have time to wipe any steam away, I make sure I leave the door open. Doing simple things like this can make all the difference. Very happy I chose this one from the bewildering amount available.
Good size
Although this is a small microwave it is very powerful. Ready meals are well cooked. A lot cheaper to use than my cooker. Fits nicely on my work surface and under a wall hanging cupboard.

If you want a microwave with all the bells and whistles, this is not for you. It is a very basic model, which is what I wanted.
The instructions on using it are easy to follow. Plug it in, set the dials and that is it. I have dodgy hands, but had no problems turning the dials to the correct settings.

Well pleased with this microwave, heats food up very easily. However, like many other customers i find it difficult to read the numbers on the timer switch.
My mum is 86 and needed something easy to use – this is it. Open the door, food in, close it, power and time on dials, job done.
The power is good (some microwaves seem lacking, not this one) and it’s not too noisy. It doesn’t clear steam with a fan like some do, so it’s important to leave the door open after use.
The only downsides I can say is that the knobs are a little stiff for arthritic fingers (though doable), and it’s not easy to do less than a minute on the timer. Fo a 30 sec ‘top up’ I’ve had to get my mum to do a full minute but turn the power down to half. That’s OK, but she forgets sometimes when it comes to the next use.
Limits aside, it’s easy and powerful and from a decent brand, which was important to my mum.

Easy to use & compac
I had been using an analogue microwave I’d been given and I wanted digital. This is small which I needed and easy to use. A large dinner plate fits in. One touch to cook for 1-6 mins. Very pleased, good price. Only con is that I leave the door open after use to air / dry it and the light stays on. ( Think the bulb had gone in my old one, it may have been the same!)

Does exactly what I need it to do and is good value for money
I used to have a cheep manual microwave I got from a supermarket. It was okay but it was tiny and didn’t last long. So I bought a Tower one that was really large and had 3 dedicated buttons like popcorn etc. This was so loud I thought it was one from the 90’s era and it didn’t cook or heat food properly. It also burnt the popcorn and left half unpopped at the same time. So when I saw this one I was sceptical. I expected it to be too small, noisy and have the dedicated button setting way out of line with what their functions are meant to be. I am please that I was wrong on all of those points.
The noise level is so quiet. The dinner plate setting is perfect. I can press it once for a plate of food at room temperature or press it twice for food straight from the fridge and it heat the food to 175- 187 degrees consistantly. I did learn than the center of the glass plate is a cold spot. So a bowl of soup needs to be put off center and as far to the outer edge as possible for best results. Plates of rice are best stired half way through reheating. But that is my preferance. I just find it heats it more evenly and not some bits like rubber and other bits not quite up to safe temperature. I like the one touch options above the line on the number grid. Very hand when you know how many whole minutes uou need to cook for.
The size is a good size. Not too small. I would have liked to get a larger option of this but 20L is proving to be a perfect size for my needs after all.

Works perfectly fine but when you use it there is absolutely loads of condensation inside.
The whole insides is dripping wet.

Purchased for my elderly father. He loves it. Powerful for its fairly small size, and able to fit large dinner plate.
Always liked Toshiba as a brand and so far this basic Microvave has not disappointed.
This model is 20l in volume, which is a little smaller than the machine it replaced after 20+ years faithful service. Absolutely basic machine but still accomodates a 10″ diameter plate which was a must. 800watts of power which seems to be more than the previous machine I had and heats food more quickly as it should.
Only one minor criticsm,the timer dials are round shiny plastic and they are often difficult to grip if my fingers are not perfectly dry,A grooved dial would be much better.

Overall this microwave makes a very useful addition in the kitchen. The plate warming facility can be a bit fierce so make sure they are microwaveable as I have had one melt. Occasionally I’ve found the turntable can be knocked off the spindle underneath accidentally…so check to see the product being heated is revolving. Otherwise a very good value purchase!…

We use it every day some persons say that the dial knob is stiff and difficult to see but with care we do not find it so
This is only an 800watt microwave but I have no issue with that. I like that it’s mostly white (although I would have preferred silver). I love that, for it’s size, the interior has more height than the others that I measured. I was mostly concerned that my 2min Tilda rice packages wouldn’t stand up inside but there is no problem whatsoever.
I preferred to have a push-button opening rather than an obvious handle but it’s a bit stiffer than my previous one. My 700watt COOKWORKS had a stylish integrated handle which I now realize was very useful when opening and closing the door. I almost just re-bought that one as it had lasted for years, was very sci-fi in design, was silver, and was a few pounds cheaper but this one is 800watts and a little smaller on my countertop and slightly roomier inside.
I am disappointed that the control panel is black on black. It doesn’t light up so it’s difficult to read the different touch screen settings. I loved the panel on my old one which had easy-to-read oval touch screen choices on a light grey background. I’ve no idea who thought of this design!! It looks sleek but isn’t very practical. But it has all the necessary quick-start settings etc so that’s fine. I’ll just memorize where they all are on the panel.
It does smell VERY BAD and smokes a bit at first (as they describe in their manual) but I find that it’s taking a few weeks for that to completely dissipate! It hasn’t tainted my food or affected the taste of my re-heated cups of tea any though. It just makes my kitchen smell.
I think it’s worth the money and I DIDN’T want a “retro” look or a black one so I’m pleased even though it’s possibly a little dated. (Ironically)
The timer knob is hard to turn to setting
Purchased this because I wanted a smaller oven and it does the job. Only gripe is that I suffer from Ostearthritis in both my hands and the timer knob is quite hard to turn to the setting. Otherwise a good purchase for occasional use.

Great item and superb value for money. The only thing I found a little annoying about it is that that the control button markings are difficult to see if it’s placed in a dull place or in a generally dull room (like our kitchen). I have to switch on the kitchen light on dull days to be able to see the button markings clearly. Otherwise a really good quality product and I am very pleased with it.

I am pleased with this Toshiba microwave and like the feature of having the temperature control settings from 1 -10.
Small and powerful.
After a few hours of stress trying to work out how it works , we finally sorted it out . The clock was particularly awkward. I can now understand why people still buy the dial timer type . That said it was a good product to buy.
The paint inside this microwave started to peel
Easy to use, although the dials could be difficult to turn for disabled or the elderly. The internal paint peeled off less than 18 months old

Very nice microwave. Would have given it 5 stars for ease of use but there is no handle pull it open, you need to press the door to bounce it open. Gave it 4 stars for easy to clean but it’s new and I won’t be cleaning it for some time, however, there is no internal light when you open it, until you are cooking. Good value microwave.
simple to use
So far only used it a couple of times. The digital set up is all very logical and simple to use, even the clock. slightly smaller than the microwave/grill it replaced but will still hold a normal dinner plate. Quite a handy kitchen gadge
Exceptional Amazon Customer Service
Unfortunately over Christmas the microwave ordered was delivered to an incorrect address. This was verified by the tracking system. I contacted customer service at Amazon and they supplied my fiancee with a duplicate microwave the following day. Fabulous customer service and she is delighted with the Toshiba microwave. Simple to operate, good value for money and does everything that a microwave should do.

As the inside is black and the knobs too it is difficult to see when there are spills inside and also difficult to see the settings on the knobs.

Plate size and condensatio
Nice tidy little microwave and mostly pleased. However it was described as taking “standard dinner plates”. It doesn’t. Mine are 27cm which catch or won’t go round and all family/friends plates are same size. Possibly thinking of purchasing others if I can find 25cm online! Bit disappointed.
It also produces much more condensation/water than my previous one and, has to be thoroughly dried out every time used even for short reheating. The water condensation can drip off the door when opened.
I am considering changing it.

The Tobias microwave is easy to use. It is all push button and so simple with excellent instruction. Compact and value for money.

Bought to replace an aging Panasonic and it meets my expectations perfectly. The oven is well made and sturdy, easy to set up and to program. Cooking results are what you would expect from an 800 watt oven and the display is clear and easy to read. Overall a worthwhile purchase.

Perfect for us
Burnt out first two popcorn bags but got there in the end. It isn’t that wide but it fits our dinner plates fine and other bits like cold cups of coffee or tea.

Back to basics mic’ . Works perfectly well. I loved the mechanical timer and bell, from a design / style point of view, but my eyes aren’t what they were, and actually the digital timer version of this Toshiba mic’ might have been better for me. Very pleased withe the purchase.

This microwave does exactly as it says it would. The only down side I’d that the timer is not digital therefore there is no countdown to zero and when something needs to be on for 2mins and 15 seconds it isn’t easy to set the timer exactly. We should have noticed this before we bought it.

Have been using this for two months, works fine.
The smooth knob mentioned by other reviewers is only a mild annoyance – can’t get sufficient grip if my hands are wet. Worth putting up with for the price, but it can’t cost THAT much to put some texture on the knob

When you are setting clock for first time as per manual, it does not work I fished about and found that I needed to press memory after setting each digit to set correct time. it does not tell you this in manual

This is a very good value piece of kitchen kit. It’s small, simple to use and looks very neat, almost stylish. If I wanted to do fancy things in it I would buy something else and if I wanted to cook the Christmas turkey in it (what a terrible thought) I’d buy something bigger. I mainly use it to cook bits of fish for my cats and occasionally to cook a baked potato and maybe once a year or less heat up a ready meal and it does the trick perfectly well. I would say that if you know you’re likely to need a microwave that is highly accurate ie needing to cook or heat something for, say 4 minutes and 21 and a half seconds, you’d be taking a risk as the clock timer thing does not allow the kind of nanosecond accuracy you might prefer. But then it’s great fun waiting for it to ding to see if you judged it correctly. If not, you have the extra delight of popping your delicious supper or fish for the cats back into the micro for another few seconds or minutes and then the joy of either finding it is cooked to perfection or, conversely, totally pommes frites! But yes, I’d buy it again if I had to, though I expect it will see me out!

While this microwave is not quite as solely made as the one it has replaced (perhaps this is how more modern ones are, like many appliances seeming a little flimsy?), we are very pleased with its performance. The cavity is not quite as big as we expected, but just does what we need to do now that we have sourced a different splatter guard. It has a really useful set of short cuts, and seems to cook food very well. It is compact, neat and smart. It had a very good Which? review too! You do need to be quite positive with the touchpad to register the numbers, but at least this makes errors less likely.

This Microwave Oven is great, the minute markings are very clear as is the defrost markings, makes life much easier, it cooks quick, looks lovely inside, light comes on when cooking. Very pleased with it, quick delivery and was well packed to avoid damage. Well worth the money, can defrost quickly, as in my case I always forget so no need to worry. I would certainly recommend, looks great and cooks really quick. Am well pleased with it. I would certainly recommend.
Compact and Works Well
Our kitchen is small with low overhead space and this fits in perfectly. It is small and therefore you have to be careful what type of container you put in it (my old microwavable ‘saucepans’ won’t turn unless you are spot on with where they stand, so I tend to use ones without handles. A small price to pay for the efficiency the microwave gives me. Our Panasonic we previously had rusted internally within a couple of years.
No light.
Yes, it’s a microwave, but not really in the 21st century. It has a dial that you turn and guess if you got the right number of minutes (unless I’ve got my glasses on), and no light inside so you don’t know what’s going on either. Pretty basic. Cheap enough, but next time I’ll see one in the flesh and pay a bit more for a better model. And it Pings!

I reheat in my air fryer whenever possible so I wanted a small basic machine and this fits the bill perfectly.
I’ve always had bigger high tech with grill microwaves before and never used 90% of the functions, great decision to save money and get a ‘fit for purpose’ machine.

Fits nicely on work surface out of the way in the corner. White makes it look clean and smart. I only use it to heat up food (bowl of soup 3 minutes and it’s very hot), warm milk in a mug (mug of milk to boiling ready for coffee etc takes 2 minutes) , cook vegetables, scramble egg (2 eggs at 1.5 minutes) etc and it works a treat. Very fast and efficient. Can set in minutes and individual seconds or simply go with the pre set minutes at the simple press of a button or two (I’ve never had this run for more than 4 minutes). Easy to clean. Gives a sound to say cooking complete. Very good price too.I guess if you have a large family then this oven would be too small for you.

We just wanted something very basic to mainly warm plates and packet rice, so for the price this is ok, but doesn’t have the option to set so many seconds on the timer. Anything less than a minute you have to guess, which is very irritating and quite hard to guage, given the short space the dial turns for a minute. Think if I’d realised before we unpacked it I would have sent it back. Aside from that it’s decent, though just fits a10.5 inch dinner plate.

Great relief to buy simple to operate Toshiba microwave with easy to use timer and heat settings switch, Plus sensible push button to open microwave door. Keeping with Toshiba microwaves from now on.
Compact, good value
This is not much more than half the size of my last microwave but it’s capacity is nearly the same, 20 liters v 23 liters. That’s a very impressive use of space. It was also remarkably cheap for a top flight brand.
A prime day bargain.
This is a well made little microwave with simple controls which are easy to use. It is ideal for us as we mainly use it for reheating or defrosting. I can fit a normal size dinner plate inside so it is big enough. It arrived a day after ordering and was well packaged and delivered safely. It came at a very reasonable price.
