Well saved me hand painting, painted about 6 panels twice in about an hour with this. Such a time saver just buy it and save loads of time doing wax on wax off for hours on end.
I used Johnstones fence paint without diluting and it went quite well and had very good coverage and finish with the sprayer… Would definitely recommend if you have a large area to paint.
We have a large amount of fence around the house and this made the process of painting it to protect it from the elements so much quicker it was worth every penny.
If we had do this with a brush it would have taken days, but with this paint sprayer it was all done in an afternoon.
Simple to use, easy to clean, the only down side was the paint container size means you’re refilling it often which is not the easiest task from the large paint drums needed.
Great bit of kit I’ve just sprayed a 20ft x 10ft summer house in about 20 minutes side’s and back not the front but I’m shocked at how easy this was to operate don’t know how long it would have taken with a brush probly hours
Excellent product. Very easy to use. Extremely quick and paints full fence panels in minutes. Bought this to reduce time painting fence panels and it did exactly that. It does burn through paint so if your painting on a budget this is not tool for you. Highly recommend
Used with Ronseal fence paint without diluting and worked fine. This sprayer is for fence paint only. Easy to take apart and clean. The paint holder is very small so expect to make many refills.
Had 3 long fences to paint so invested in this. From the beginning of use it was brilliant. Got the job done in no time. I did stop for lunch and it wouldnt restart again, my husband suggested to clean the nozzle bingo it started straight away. The only down side I can see is the fiddy cleaning of the whole thing. Used it with water based paint, but not sure if I would use it for gloss, as you would have to use white spirit to clean .
Great time saver. Only problem I found is that once you got 2/3 – 3/4 through the tub you struggled for paint and had to keep refilling which is not always obvious to the naked eye and therefore creates an uneven coat is certain sections. This is always a little messy I suppose (according to the capability of the individual / me operating the sprayer) but only takes 5 or so minutes to do.
I had to do this a few times and each and every time and the tub still had plenty of paint in which was frustrating.
Saying that, I have covered 15 panels (4 of which were brand new) and a 7×18 ft decking nicely with less than 7ltr paint (culprinol ducks back harvest brown colour)!
This is one of the best things I’ve bought, it had made painting fences, decking and my shed an absolute doddle
First class quality product, feels well made with all components fitting together well ,pick a calm day and quality water based paint and enjoy spraying you fence panels, 16 panels painted twice by 3pm, excellent.
Sprayer works well … although with the paint we’ve used (Fence life plus from Ronseal) it required 3 coats (to go from unpainted wood to dark grey). Fence is approx. 45m (and 6ft high) and took about 8 hours to do the first coat as I was being over cautious. 2nd and 3rd coats took about 3-4 hours each. A decent chunk of the time is actually stopping to fill up with paint … but if the container was any bigger it might be too heavy so it’s a trade off. After a full day painting I found I couldn’t get all the paint off the handle etc. – but I didn’t try any white sprit, was just using soapy water. i.e. the paint “spray back” (there’s always a little) had semi-dried on the sprayer. Wouldn’t have been an issue if I’d been faster though!
My new favourite gadget, took no time at all to do all my fences which look great, needed to cover a horrible orange colour so it took about 3 coats (of ronseal one coat!) which would have taken me a few days to do by hand but just a couple of hours with this. I then went on to do my decking using screwfix decking oil another job that usually takes a couple of days but this took about 7 or 8 minutes to do my 6x6metre decking. Cleaned it out with hot soapy water no problem. It is quite messy so you do need to cover your surroundings but definitely worth it.
This has made my life so much easier.
What used to take all day has been done in a couple of hours.
Used both a main line brand and also some red cedar stain on offer locally.
Both red cedar and both water based brushable – did not mention sprayable – but added water in 5:1 mix.
The container on the sprayer held enough paint for 1 full panel and one trellis – ok more went through the trellis than on it but thats what happens when you spray fresh air.
Did all this with a brush once – took 2 days.
Using this took 2 hrs.
Most valuable addition to my power tools.

Amazing sprayer, I did 10 6×6 panels in around 40 minutes and that was having to hand paint some areas as the sprayer couldn’t get behind my plants etc.
Great device, easy to use, speeds up the process so much, bigger vessel would be nice to limit the paint filling operation but that would obviously make it heavier

It took 4hrs to paint 2 old untreated fence panels by hand.
It took 2hrs to to spray the remaining 4 untreated panels plus 4 panels painted several years ago.
The finish on the panels was excellent and these ease of spraying the more inaccessible areas nooks & crannies etc
was a dream.
I used Cuprinol Garden Shades – strait from the tins. The volume of paint used was no more than with a brush just a lot faster and less fatigue.
Remember to cover / mask all areas that you do not want coloured .

I bought this to paint my fence. Oh my god I wish I bought it years ago. I have previously used a brush and it takes ages and I hate doing it. This product was very quick and easy to use. It does use a lot of paint and you you have to stop frequently to re-fill but still well worth it. Highly recommend this product.

This is actually very good bought some Ronseal fence put it in and sprayed with it didn’t have to dilute at all
However, it does use a lot of product so be of mind if you have a lot of panels like me
The spray gun is great to use very easy to clean , provided you use water based paint, after using it just empty the pot rinse it clean and put clean water in and spray to clean the nozzle.it paints planking and fencing in a quarter of the time it takes to paint with a brush and uses less paint too. a very good product for the price, a must if you have a lot of fencing and flooring to do, will save you hours.
After the first panel dripping with paint I decided that the lightest it could spray was probably the best option and it worked perfectly.
Easy to clean if you follow the video online.
One snag is definitely the cable length from the plug and also it will drink paint on a medium setting. The sprayer also covers a wide area, a positive and negative (hence the need to put masking tape all over my concrete posts and gravel boards.
All in all, a great item that I would 100% recommend to save time. I did 7 panels in 2 hours (1hr just setting up masking tape!!)
I so wanted this to not work like one I had many years ago. Well its amazing. Saved my poor arms so much work. Its super easy to put together. I luckily had thin paint that was easy to pour in.
My only complaint is that the reservoir needs refilling after 1 and a half panels so becomes a bit tedious. But I set up a station and had it off to a fone art once I got going. So sprays everywhere if you have any wind or breeze so watch put for your neighbours cars and your own haha. But if you are careful you can avoid getting it everywhere but be prepared. So it’s taken me a couple of hours max to paint over 25 6 foot panels it would have taken me days. I also have Degenerative disc disease fibromyalgia and arthritis so painting with a brush really leaves me in pain and exhausted for many days. This actually helped me so much. So top tips don’t leave paint in the nozzle whilst you wait for the panels to dry wash it all out with water or your preffered solution. But you must clean it or the paint dries and blocks up the nozzle.
Used this for the first time today. I cannot believe how it made light work of painting my garden fence. My fence is made up of horizontal planks that overlap. I painted all of my garden fence last Spring with a brush and it took an age. Each fence took me an hour to paint one coat with a brush.. The winter has been quite harsh on it and a couple of the fences needed a fresh coat. It literally took less than 5 minutes to paint one fence with this sprayer. I wish I had purchased this last year. It would have saved me so much time. Once used, it is very easy to clean. Running the parts under warm water to remove the paint was very quick. Definitely recommend this product for painting fences. My next job is to paint my decking and I expect this will be made easy with this sprayer. Would advise to have a practice on some cardboard to get used to the spray action. I picked this up very quickly and my fence was done in no time
Have used a hand pump type product in the past which was zero effective. Purchased this Wagner Electric unit and used for the 1st time yesterday (weather was perfect). So easy to use, bit of a faff to pour Ducksback Fence Paint into the small container (sure there is a technique I’ve yet to learn). Took 2 hours to paint 50 metres of fence panels yesterday and same again today to give a 2nd coat. Takes a bit of effort to clean black paint off the unit. Would recommend to anyone.
Used the sprayer to spray a massive fence. I have used hand crank sprayers before – useless – so took a flyer on this one. It’s terrific. Only drawback, I wish the container had been larger, but otherwise, no complaint at all… trouble free and efficient.
I did a lot of research before buying a spray gun as I was unsure if it would be worth it. This spray gun got such good reviews and now I know why. What usually takes me two days with a brush, I did in about three hours (including second coat, not including drying time between coats). You use a lot more paint than you would with just a brush but to me, my time is more important than the cost of additional paint.
It leaves a great finish and the spray gun is very easy to clean. You just take it apart and wash each individual part before putting it back together.
Super easy to use, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

We used this product to spray fence panels and sheds. It was brilliant it took the Duck’s Back paint in it’s stride. Easy to use and assemble, no problem washing it out. Really pleased painted a fence panel in a matter of minutes.
Very impressed. I used to spray our fence with a water based protection. I have bought cheaper sprayers in the past, which was a false economy. This sprayer was so easy to use, gave a smooth spray which was directed by the air flow around the jet.
Used it with Ronseal Fence Life Plus paint (Medium Oak).
Was able to finish the project in one day and was averaging 400-500ml per 1.8x.1.8m fence. Only have done one coat and won’t be doing a second as it looks good enough for me.
Tried painting a section by brush and it took ages. So if you are thinking of painting your fence definitely go for this.
Just prepare the area properly with masking tapes, covers and cardboard. I used a piece of cardboard while spraying to prevent any overspray (which was little anyway) going towards unwanted places.
Where has this been my whole life! Fantastic machine. Easy to setup, use and clean. Ive used manual sprayers before but this is better than anything ive ever used to paint a fence. If you have more than 5 panels to paint then I would highly recommend this. Its worth every penny.
28 fence panels were taking hour and a half each to paint, 4 years later sol trying to finish it and needing to restart already. Bad experience with a sprayer before. Read good reviews on different sites for this one so went for it. OMG!! Done the whole lot, some two coats, half the paint previously used and done in…… 2 hours! Fab. Can’t wait for the decking to be fitted and shed. Will buy another paint vessel so the other half can refill one while the other is in use, it could do with holding a bit more paint but then would make it heavier so no complaints.
Proper quality for the money. Has a separate compressor which is very powerful. Sprayed my cabin really nicely. No drips or issues. Needs cleaning every couple of tins. Easy to clean. Wish I had more to paint. Will end up in my shed now for years.
There are quite a few of these machines available and honestly chose this one based upon positive reviews. Very happy with this purchase, the quality seems good and if looked after it feels as though it will last many years. Having used it to spray paint 25 metres of fencing so far it probably saved a whole day compared to brushing so on that basis worth every penny.
I brought a cheaper one of these a few years ago and it wasn’t very good. This one is an excellent tool. You can cover a fence panel in minutes, the only slight issue is the amount of over spray. You have to make sure everything around the area you are spraying is completely covered. Light and easy to use, I would recommend it.
Used for the first time today to paint about 20 fence panels and I was very pleased with how easy and quick the Wagner was to use. It would have taken me days to do it by brush. The finish was very good.

Only used for 1 day so far as weather has been too windy but results good. Cleaning a bit of a faf but no short cuts as this has to be done well.
Wow – wish I bought one years ago. Sprays a panel in a couple of minutes and seems able to use both spray and rollable fence paints so don’t pay extra for sprayable. Watch out for spray drift. Cleaning fairly easy if done as soo as finished spraying. Gets through quite a lot of paint but pays back in speed.
Just finished putting a 2nd coat on my shed of cuprinol shades, 1st coat went on diluted (a fair bit) using a cheap sprayer i already had, wasnt that happy so thought i’d buy this. Srpayed the cuprinol shads out of the tin with no dilution. Lovely job and fast. Just done the 2nd coat in about 1.5 hours on a 10×12 shed.
This decking and fence paint spray it was the best thing I ever bought. Really easy to assemble, to use and to clean. My fence looks perfectly new due this amazing wagner paint spray. Made my life much easier. Very complete set.
Bought this to paint 130 M of new fencing. One day with a brush was enough. Makes the job easy and quick. Would be nice if it had a bigger capacity but that’s only being over critical. Can’t fault it, quality sprayer that looks like it’s built to last.
Great product. I have used it with fence paint and with wood preserver. It works a treat with both. It takes a matter of minutes to do a coat on a 6×6 fence panel. You will use a lot more paint/oil using this than you would with a paint brush but in my mind well worth it. The only minor negative is the power cable is too short. It could do with being twice the length. I found myself carrying my extension reel around in my spare hand. Having said this I am still very happy with this product.
so happy I bought this. had 80m2 of 6 foot fence to paint. did 2 coats in 5 hours. used cuprinol ducksback paint. went on easily. saved me days of painting. yes the reservoir isn’t massive but a bigger one would weigh more and would you would feel it in your arm after a while.

Purchased to spray Creocote onto an arris rail fence having had my hand pump sprayer fail.
Crikey, it’s fast. As the sprayer has been designed for water-based paint solutions, Creosote is much less viscous and so the flow rate is high. I used too much trigger on my first panel and depleted the 1.4l bottle in about 40 seconds. However, I had covered about 90% of an 8′ X 6′ panel including several passes on the arrisses.
My only wish is that Wagner could have made a larger 2+l bottle: I’d have taken that despite the extra weight. Apparently the larger 1.8l / 1800ml bottle doesn’t fit this sprayer. I’ve edited this review as I previously suggested to buy that bottle when purchasing the sprayer.
I’ve learned to be gentler with the trigger to spray more evenly. I thoroughly recommend the product.

I’ve bought a lot of gimmicky crap over the years and am always sceptical of how good something is until you actually try it…. this arrived yesterday and within an hour I’d painted 11 x 6′ fence panels. Absolutely brilliant. If I never use it again it’s already paid for itself oh and I did the shed while I was on for good measure!! Easy to clean, job Done. Don’t waste your time with a brush, just buy this

use this for treating a large decking area and a lot of fencing, and this sprayer does it with ease, takes a little time to get used to the spraying method but when you do it’s brilliant, cuts your work time down massively. Yes you have to clean the parts down afterwards but it’s no big deal, takes about 10-15 minutes the parts are easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. Would highly recommend if like me you have a lot of decking and fencing.

Ok product, did have to clean numerous times so it worked. But when it does, it does a great good. If you can get the consistency right it’s decent buy and will save you time. If you can’t youll be at it all day cleaning the nozzle for it to work.
Possibly the best purchase I have ever made. If you value your time and hate wasting it, you need one of these. Fence panels take a matter of minutes. I gave mine two coats both sides and it was a fraction of the time it would have been if I’d used a brush. Easy to clean as well. A really good product.

This sprayer is very easy to assemble and use. I have recently used is to repaint my shed and fence panels. Each side of the shed was evenly covered in 2 minutes for each side. The fence panels measuring 6feet by 5 feet were covered evenly in 3 minutes for each side

I bought this to paint the all the fences around the house (would have took ages by hand). It was easy to put together and get going, It took me a fence panel to get used to the speed I should be spraying at (slow and steady) but once I’d got the jist of it the job became quick and easy. As a first time buyer of a sprayer I’m happy with what I got for my money.
Absolutely brilliant tool. Expensive but you’ll gain that back in time saved with a few fence panels. You need a windfree zone to be able to avoid having to use a brush on some edges but it takes less than a minute to cover one side of a 6’x6′ fence panel once you get the technique right. I practised with water for 30 mins. Once loaded with paint I zipped through half a dozen fence panels and a large shed in no time. Flushed it through with hot water afterwards to clean the water based paint out and it’s ready for its next use. I plan on using it for a masonry paint task next as it’s a real time saver.
First time I’ve used a sprayer. I would recommend this one. Easy to put together. Easy to use and easy to clean. I used with Cuprinol Duckbacks stain. I didn’t need to water it down and the sprayer handled it with no blocks or problems.
Great product. Painted panels in a matter of minutes. Not particularly accurate. It was hard to spray the edges without getting it on other areas.
Used battery powered sprayers before and they were useless – this is the real deal – I sprayed one eight by 6 gate in approximately 2 minutes and the finish was practically flawless – love this item – takes the drudgery out of painting fence panels, gates, wendy houses etc….actually, it makes it quite fun!
Does exactly what it says, takes us longer to paint a fence than the video implies, but it’s quicker than using a brush.
Decent sprayer that certainly saves a lot of time instead of using usual brush methods. Simple assembly that can be taken fully apart to clean.
Two things to mention though;
If you notice that the gun is spraying any paint without the trigger held down, one side of the nozzle may be blocked. Had this happen several times but this may have just been the type we were using (ronseal). Just needs rinsing out and possibly unblocking with a needle or cocktail stick if dried etc.
Buy a funnel! The reservoir / container for the paint or stain only has a fairly small opening so it really does go everywhere if you’re not careful!
Took no time at all to assemble this product. Used it to spray a large fence and the results were fantastic. The spray gun is extremely versatile allowing both horizontal and vertical spraying options.
Really pleased with this sprayer. Easy to assemble and gives a good spray. Was surprised it’s own compressor came with it. Recommend it.
Can’t really fault it, does a great job. Maybe a longer mains lead? Painted all my fences in a fraction of the time it takes by hand. Wouldn’t recommend using it when it’s windy. Great labour saving device.

Our decking is 150 sq ft and we had over 50 panels in our garden. Easy to use, follow the instructions.. The Decking and fence panela took 1 day in total including all the sides etc.
Seems really good so far just need to make sure paint watered down well

Nice item and works really well without to much over spray, in fact next to none, would quick happily spray within a few meters of my car, however before you do this it could have been the paint I used. 10 times faster than a paint brush and better finish.
Was extremely sceptical about using this, however I am extremely pleased with it. Easy to setup, and Cuprinol 1 coat paint went on a new fence like a treat. Painted 8 fences in little over an hour, two coats. Really happy with the sprayer, and cleaning it in a soapy bucket and brush was very straightforward. Almost new again. Have more fences to paint, and this sprayer appears to be a good investment.
Read a lot of reviews on this before buying. Glad I did 54 panels done in around 6 hours instead of days! Used cuprinol ducks back just added a touch of water but the sprayer is that good you could probably use it as is. I left it on the detail spray setting and didn’t even bother masking.Never clogged and easy to clean. Dont think about it just get one. Only thing it could do with a slightly longer lead but that’s about it if you want to try and find fault.
I took a chance on this and it worked great for painting pebble dash with normal masonry paint – thinned down 10%, simplified a job into hours that would have taken me days.
Superb, past two years I’ve done my decking with a brush and it took me best park of 4 hours for first cost and 2 hours for 2nd.
This sprayer took me around 45 mins for first coat and 10 for second. It’s revolutionary. Takes longer to mask off than it does to paint it. Brilliant and worth the effort of masking off.
This beauty does a panel in approximately 60 seconds. You read that right. 60 seconds.
I have over 50 fence panels (yep you read that right as well!) and I did the whole lot of them in an afternoon with absolutely zero effort. It gets in all the nooks and crannies as well unlike dabbing away for hours with a brush.
Trust me – I’m pretty critical of products but really cannot find fault with this. The price is excellent as well.
As I said earlier – I cannot believe I p1ssed about for years with brushes and fence stain running down my arms.
As a heads up…when you buy your fence stain buy a couple of rolls of wide masking tape for the concrete posts and uprights.
Well worth the extra for a superb product. Made the job of spraying shed & fencing a piece of cake. Very easy to use and clean out. Ver efficient and even spray.
I prepared my fence by jet washing it. This gives you even more work to do but it’s worth it to get a better result.
I used undiluted ducksback which I don’t think is really recommended but other reviewers suggested it.
The sprayer got through ALOT of paint but, to be fair, my fence is very old and the wood is really weather-beaten so it was probably always going to take a lot of paint no matter how I applied it.
The sprayer is easy to assemble and simple to use and comes apart easily so very easy to clean. I’d recommend using a funnel to fill the reservoir or use a large liquid detergent bottle, turned upside down so the pourer sits in the reservoir, cut the bottom off the bottle and it’s just the same as a funnel.
It definitely saved a lot of time and effort. I just couldn’t face hand painting my fence so the sprayer made a hard job easy and quick and there was really no spray where not intended (I was spraying around a lot of plants, trees and bedding plants but none got covered in spray) – the spray covers where you aim with no dripping. It also reached areas I couldn’t have reached with a big fence brush.
It’s quite heavy if your using it for long periods and it runs out of paint quite quickly but I’m willing to use more paint to get a good result and the job done quicker.
Overall, I definitely would recommend it. It’s easy to use and clean, reaches areas you won’t get to easily, offers a good, even paint result and has little/no mess/splashing. Gets the job done a lot quicker though. Downside is it gets a bit heavy after a while, it’s quite noisy, drinks paint and the reservoir needs refilling often but I’ll be using it again and would recommend it for big jobs.
Perfect for cleaning windows, glass doors and showers easy to assemble and lightweight when in use, comes with ample cleaning fluid
Once you get the hang of using it this sprayer does a good job. Easy to carry and operate. Cleaning too is easy, just takes a few goes sending clean water through and then wiping off the film of paint with a wet cloth. I’ve always used a brush but now I’m a sprayer convert!
Hands down has to be best item I’ve purchased this year .Would normally take a whole day painting fence panels in my back garden.With this sprayer took about 2hours at a gentle pace.You get a extremely well finished coating and very even .And another plus is it’s very easy to clean .AAAAA *
Great product! You don’t need more expensive product than this to do your garden project! Easy to use,easy to wash and dose the job 10x quicker than paint brush 🙂 I’m really pleased with this produc

Easy to clean (5 minutes) if done straight after use
– So much quicker than a paint brush for fence panels.
– Gives a great finish.
– Really simple to use.
– Takes about 15 minutes to clear up after use.
– Takes more time to put masking tape on the concrete posts than actually paint the panels.
– Just used the basic Cupinol paint for fences. Didn’t bother getting the ‘spray’ version of the paints, and no need to water down. Literally, just a jug to pour the paint into the paint reservoir/tub and away you go.
Definitely recommend.
I did 6 fence panels both sides in under 20 minutes, but, for me it’s not the speed, it’s the professional finish that I love!
Cleaning takes under 5 minutes once finished with it.
I used Cuprinol ducks back which is really thick with no problems at all.
