It’s worth to buy
It’s easy to assemble and easy to use, but do spend a lot of time to refill and afterwards cleaning. I find it’s very difficult to get the pain into the container. I have a 1 litter jug, even use that still mess up, half the paint inside and half of them outside. The paint which I used is Ron seal fence paint, the paint like jelly curd, very difficult to transfer from big container to small container.
I paint my garden fence about every 2 years, mainly because it is a 2 day job, and 2 large tins of varnish. Not a job I ever look forward too, so in year 8 I thought, I really need to find a better solution so borrowed someones paint spray gun, only to find it didn’t work, this made me a little annoyed so I ran indoors and found this… price isn’t too bad and reviews are all pretty good.
It arrived, unboxed and started assembly, not the easiest thing to assemble but persevere and you will get there. I then filled the container with my tin of varnish and went for it… what a breeze, worked fantastic, what used to take me a day I did in 40 minutes. A real time saver.
Cleaning it, that is something else… I carefully followed all the instructions and it isn’t a quick simple process, you take a lot of it to bits, wash things, clean things and then sort of put it back and spray water through then remove parts and spray more water through before assembling it all again, this probably took a further 20-30 minutes. In the grand scheme of things, still a huge time saver just a little laborious to clean.
Garden fence treatment is a breeze with this!!
Bought this to apply treatment to the garden fence panels. I have 80m x 2m panels that badly needed treating. After a pressure wash and a few days drying I started using this sprayer. WARNING – Practice your technique and adjust the volume on the sprayer pistol. I found initially the mid point setting on the pistol was too much and was splattering the coating too densely to the fence panel. Eventually I turned the volume to minimum and the spray was nice and even. Saves a HUGE amount of
time although after application I brushed it to even the appearance a little better. Cleaning is a pain of course and clean up can be messy. Thankfully only water based so get a large bucket of water and a stiff bristle brush to give it a good clean before putting it away. Next time you use it you’ll be pleased you did!!

This Wagner paint sprayer is a great item. It makes fence painting so much quicker and easier. Although I think you use more paint. But it’s definitely worth it, as it saves so much time. Highly recommend
well made but clogs quickly
This is a good value sprayer, (my first). I am glad I bought the cleaning kit, as the sprayer stopped spraying on the 3rd refill. ( I used Cuprinal sprayable fence stain; forest green). I found the spray nozzle clogged up if left unused for 5 minutes ( refilling container) but easily cleaned with the cleaning brushes set. follow the instructions but its usually the spray nozzle.
Spraying was even but easy to overspray, so have a bucket of water or hose to wash down paved areas or adjacent walls.
It is very fast and I did all my fences ( previously stained same colour) in 3 hours, a job that took 5 or 6 days by hand. box said face mask included but didnt have one. You need one.

I have to say we loved this sprayer. It made painting the fence so much easier and made the fence look brand new. Very easy to use and to clean afterwards. Well worth the money.

Used this as was taking to long painting with a brush! Holds a lot of paint, I had 37m of picket fence to paint, this works so good, you can adjust nozzle to how much radius you need, found it easy to use. And cleaning is simple aswell.

The sprayer worked a treat for doing my fence with Creosote (the original) with no issues at all, cleaned up and packed away till I’ve decking to do. I spent more time topping up my sprayer than actually spraying my fence. I did by a 2nd container but I found it easier just having a bucket we Creosote to top up.

Works well with most paint types. I’ve painted fences with different paints, render paint and normal Indoor paint and it all worked well. It’s a great spray gun for the money. Very thin or watered down paint seems to work the worst, oddly. And very thick gloopy paint doesn’t spray that well. Everything in between these extremes is great. Highly recommend.

Good for certain fences
The product is easy to assemble and use. However I had to resort to a brush as my garden fence has established shrubs etc near by. If it was a new uncluttered fence it should work great. The paint holder supplied is very small and needs frequent refilling

You do need a practice run. But once you’ve had a little practice, it’s easy enough to use. It used to take a couple of days to do my fence by hand with a brush. 2 coats all within 3 hours. Dried perfectly and looks good.

What a timesaver!
Never used a spray before and once I had spend considerable time painting the top few inches of the panels by brush to avoid risk over spraying over the tops I broke out his bad boy. I was amazed at how quickly and evenly it sprayed and I got 22 panels done in what felt like no time, especially after having to hand brush the tops which felt like an eternity in comparison. Yes you have to stop very frequently to fill up the bottle but it is so much quicker than a brush.

Used this on garden fence took less time to complete the job. Very pleased with the way it works although I felt it would be great to have longer pipe goes in the bottle as some paint left at the end! Also, slightly Bigger bottle with longer pipe will be better as it will reduce the time to for topping up!

First time using a sprayer to paint new fence panels. Easy to assemble & use with just one suggested improvement. The power lead is quite short for something designed to be so portable. Dragging around the extension lead was a nuisance. Another metre would solve the issue & should only add pence to the price. Paint finish is great. Recommend a good quality mask or respirator.

This is my 2nd purchase of a sprayer from Wagner, my first was the smaller version as a test. This was to make the fence panels quicker and easier, 120 ft of 6ft high fencing, 2 coats in an afternoon, with a perfect finish

Was a bit sceptical of spray painting my fence but done my research and look at videos and various websites and one sprayer stood out the Wagner fence and decking sprayer I’m actually glad I did got it at a decent price compared to some DIY stores, assembled it following the instructions which were very easy to use filled up the 1400ml pot with paint I bought a spare pot I recommend you buy one and switched between both of them spray came out at a reasonable rate fence was done within 2hrs compared to the usual 6, wife was mightily impressed it’s done a fantastic job I’d certainly recommend it cleaning up was also breeze all components are easily taken apart and put together I’m certainly glad that I took plunge and purchased Wagner fence and decking spraye
Saves time big time!
Bought one to spray 60 metres of close board 8 foot high fence. Sprayed one coat in less than an hour. I reckon I would have taken over a working day to hand brush / roller paint it. Be prepared though to sacrifice the higher volume of paint used when using the spray option as against manual application. Spraying is still my choice, a no brainer decision!

Uses more paint but so quick to do. Definitely need a calm day with no wind. Good coverage but did need a bit of touching up here and there. I did the first few panels with a brush, which needed 4 coats. Decided it would take forever so bought the sprayer. Best thing I ever did!! Highly recommended.

What a brilliant tool. Sprayed my fence panels in minutes rather than hours by brush. Should of bought one years ago. Highly recommended. A bit if a pain cleaning every nook and cranny but it is a spray gun! It’s expected to need a thorough clean.
Great little spraye
I wasn’t sure about buying a sprayer for our fences after reading some reviews but ended up taking the plunge with this model.
We used Cuprinol duck back fence paint.
The system was easy to put together and get going. I wouldn’t recommend using if windy as the fine specs can carry in the wind and end up on other things but apart from that I found it easy to use and worked pretty well. I had to hold the gun quite close to the fence but it was quicker that using a brush and roller and more fun!
Our fence panels had already been painted a long time ago in a dark colour which was well overdue a repaint. We painted them in a silver/grey colour. It took a few coats but this little sprayer did it’s job.
We also purchased the cleaning kit, which I would recommend, as it comes with small cleaning brushes which are needed to clean and clear the nozzles etc.

What a time saver!
Wow! Painted 2 coats on 13 fence panels in a couple of hours. This would have taken me days using a brush! I used Cuprinol shades paint and it worked wonderfully with this sprayer. No clogging.
Good kit.
Never owned one until now. Hand painted all sheds, fences etc for years. Should have purchased a sprayer long ago. This is a really useful and well engineered gun. Do as the instructions say and the results are first class. Have a little practice first and get the hang of it then off you go. Highly recommended.
Must have for a big job
It will take a bit more time to prepare (you may probably have to thin your paint a bit) and especially to cleanup afterwards (filling the containers with the paint can become “messy”, the cleaner you can be the better) but once you’re set to go you can fly through your fence panels. I decided to spend some extra time to mask my concrete posts and so the only time I had to stop was to re-fill (about every third fence panel).
I had bought something cheaper in the past but I ended up with the noozle being blocked, or hose that would not stay in place. Nothing of that with this, looking forward to use it again in the future.

Does the job, quickly and conveniently
Completed painting of 120m of fencing in less than a day, this would have taken days with a brush. Coverage is good and even, and used less paint than with a brush. Was skeptical this would handle the fence paint we had purchased last year but no issues, cleaning the thing afterwards wasn’t too much of a chore. Now looking for something else to paint this weekend….

I haven’t used the one I bought yet. But I did a job for someone and used theirs, it was brilliant, easy to use and clean. So I purchased one ready for doing my fence.
I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews as I read them carefully after ordering the product. The box was damaged and resealed with Amazon prime tape so first impressions were not good. However I was a bit reassured when a found a small round plastic seal that read original seal. As I am middle aged woman with a poor back, I had set up a filling station in the garden by laying out a picnic table covered in plastic in anticipation for spillages during decanting paint. I first tried to pour from paint tin to sprayer container with a funnel but that was messy so I used a small measuring jug to scoop up paint and pour in the sprayer. That was v easy to do with no mess. I strongly recommend this method. The paint washes out well too.
I tried adding a small dash of water to the Ronseal fencelife plus paint as the instructions suggested dilution. However as the paint can did not suggest dilution in sprayer, I braved using it neat. Both worked equally well. I had a huge pice of card board thanks to a recent fridge delivery that I put on my neighbour’s garden side as I have what the trade call “hit and miss” fence. That fence design makes it hard to paint the fence anyway but the sprayer made v light work. I do not mind multiple refilling stops using this sprayer compared to time and effort it takes to paint manually. The sprayer made the whole job so fast. Very pleased with purchase. Yes it needs a long extension cable but that’s ok as a v long cable with the sprayer would make packing it way difficult if it got twisted up. The components are easy to remove and clean. I cleaned with dish soap and water and used the sprayer with plain water until the water came out clean. I hope the sprayer works when I need to use it again after 5 years (based on Ronseal paint marketing)! I would have paid much more to get the fence painted. Now I have the sprayer to use again.
As expected you need to be careful to avoid over the electrical cable.

in our garden we have two long wooden fences, so out came the brushes what a tedious bore, on and off took two days bit by bit to do one side. so i bought the wagner fence and deck sprayer to try , wow what a fantastic bit of kit, i did the whole fence in less than thirty minutes . if you have fences to paint forget the brushes get one of these , paint your fences in minutes not hours. so impressed recommend this product 100% good luck you paint brush lovers.

Does what it's supposed to
This definately does what it says it will. The fence paint goes on well and it’s really quite quick. I found it a little confusing assembling the different bits, but as far as I can tell it only goes together one way so I guess you can’t go far wrong. What I would say is be prepared to fill this often. It goes through a complete litre of paint in no time at all. I went through a 10ltr tub of fence paint far quicker than I’d imagined I would and spent more time refilling the sprayer than actually painting. That said, refilling is easy enough (I bought a very cheap plastic jug which worked beautifully). End result is even, coverage is excellent, runs almost non-existent, and finally clean up from water based paint was a doddle. I’d recommend it but with the caveat that you need to be prepared for how quickly it goes through paint.
BUY THIS if you are looking to cut down time and effort!
This was easy to put together out of the box and simple to use. I covered about 5 metres featheredge (as pic) in about 10 minutes, and that was because it only has a 1.4l tank so needed re-filling every few minutes. The tank does need lots of refilling as it is relatively small and so that takes more time than spraying! You can buy extra tanks for 7, I think so if you get two and have one person focussed on refilling the tanks it will be done even quicker! It sprays vertically for fences and horizontal for decking. I poured Ronseal fence paint straight into the 1.4l tank – I didn’t have to dilute, and no clogging. Follow instructions, it sprays evenly. I am so thrilled that I got this, because if I had to use a brush it would have taken me several weekends and several coats no doubt. Make sure you use gloves and cover your eyes/hair/clothes as there can be some spray back if there is a slight breeze. It was quick and easy to clean out too with warm soapy water… Can’t believe I’m saying that this thing made me enjoy the job when I was dreading it and put it off for the last two summers. Already got the family asking if they can borrow it! Brilliant price too! Don’t hesitate!
Why did I not buy one of these before?
First time I have ever left a review for a product I have bought on Amazon. I have only used it the once but WOW, what a time save this product really is though! I only bought it to spray the fencing in my garden and doubt I will ever use it for anything else. It’s quite simply the best 50 I have spent and has reduced the time it takes to paint all my fencing from days to hours (and with way less mess). The only downside was that the canister which holds the paint is quite small and lasts just about 1 panel at a time before needing to be refilled. However, the 1-2 minutes it takes to refill is hardly a deal breaker considering you can paint the whole panel in a matter of minutes.
Cleaning the product at the end is way easier than cleaning brushes too. Just rinse the canister out with water, fill it with water and then run the spray gun so that the water cleans out the nozzle etc.
Quick and easy...and messy!
Works very well, watered down ducksback with 10% water..sprayed fine no clogging. Easy to use and clean, and seems well made. Nearby plants look better sprayed black anyway! Def a good purchase!
Its quicker but dont expect the same results as a brush
I read all the other reviews and took the leap to get this to make painting the fences a bit less of a labourious task. Heres the feedback.FYI – I used this with cuprinol ducksback that I thinned about 20% with water.
1. It is alot faster to apply the paint/stain – took about 2 mins to do 1 panel.
2. The finish isnt as good as a paint brush and some areas I had to go over again.
3. 1 full tank does about 1.5 – 2.5 panels with a good coat
4. Cleanup is fairly simple and its easy to put back together.
Would I buy it again. YES.
It made the job alot easier and I went round any parts that needed a touchup with a brush later on.

This is such a simple piece of kit that does the job so well and I will now never manually paint fence panels again.
I found it best to use the circular jet setting and reducing the volume output slightly because this avoided overspray and significantly reduced wastage.
The components were easy to assemble and easy to clean (it took just 5 minutes to assemble and 15 minutes for a proper clean).
I sprayed 6 panels in under half an hour – simply remarkable! Even allowing for four hour drying periods I could get three coats done in a day. 1.5 hours working, 45 minutes cleaning and 8 hours watching paint dry and three coats done. This job would normally have taken three full days.
There are other sprayers out there but after doing my research I settled in this one – I am so glad I did!

Bought because I have a lot of fencing, as long as you set the output of spray ie small round screw on handle the spray is uniform and gives good coverage very quickly. The price in my opinion is good value also and very good time saver.

I was, initially, a bit sceptical about how well this would work, having previously used a Ronseal hand-pump fence sprayer which was always clogging up every couple of minutes. I fully expected this to be beset by the same problems. Shouldn’t have worried – it works perfectly – using Ronseal FenceLife +, diluted slightly – even though I was a bit concerned that after mixing the paint still seemed a bit lumpy. No clogging whatsoever although I share other’s observations that the container could do to be a bit larger and that the mains lead ought to be twice as long as it is.
I managed to paint a 25 square metre deck and the fence across the back of the garden in less than an hour – a job which would have taken me all day had I done it with a brush. Cannot recommend this product highly enough!

I don’t normally post reviews because I’m busy but if I can save one person the pain of painting by hand then this will be worth it!! I used Cuprinol garden shades paint and didn’t have to water down, the paint went further and it is a dream to use, only thing is get yourself a really long extension lead thingy that’s it the end

We have had spray guns before and they have not been so good with bad coverage. This has really good coverage and very quick. We have done 18 6×6 panels back and front in 2 hours. Would highly recommend this product. Easy to clean too
Don’t use a brush!
I’ve always used a brush to paint my fences and always put the job off because it took days to complete. I finally took the plunge and bought this paint sprayer and I’ve got to say it’s the best labour saving device I’ve ever bought! 5 hours after I started everything is done, two days of my life back!

Well worth the money
Easy to use, easy to clean. Prep your surfaces properly and you WILL get an immaculate finish. I’ve been using it to pain some MDF drawers And shelves. The finish is excellent so long as you sand to 120/180 between coats. It’s lightweight, and the speed at which you can lay paint down is incomparable to using a brush. You will use more paint and you want to be in a dust free well ventilated environment (for fine finish) but if painting fences/decks just watch out for overspray and be nice to the neighbours!

i had bought a different make of sprayer first and all seemed good and worked well for 10 minutes and then the electric motor suddenly burnt out. i looked for another and ordered the Wagner model, a bit more expensive but worked very well right from the start. Am very pleased, spayed the tool shed, the wood shed and 7 fence panels in one hour.
Why did I wait to buy one of these?
This arrived at 4:30 today. Painted 4 panels in 15 minutes (which would be approx 3 hours at my pace with a brush). I used Ronseal One Coat which has the consistency of blancmange. The gun handled this no problem.
The only mess was caused by myself loading the paint pot. As the Ronseal is a thick consistency there was little overspray (I didn’t need to get changed). As others have said, 15 mins to clean.

High quality German product - like all German products!
This is a high-quality, low-cost device for spraying liquids on fences, decking and other surfaces as an alternative to laborious and time-consuming brushing. I have only two complaints: (i) the wiring and air pipe are rather awkward and restrict mobility; (ii) like any spray, this too consumes a lot of liquid. Hence, unless you are an expert sprayer able to carefully direct the spray, you will lose a lot of liquid spraying it uselessly into the air. Not much one can do about either.

Was taking 3 days to do all our fences, done in a day now. Amazing gadget. Not the cheapest out there but looked at online reviews before making a happy purchase

Very easy to use
Performed better than expected for the price. Easy to set up, easy to use and easy to clean. I used this for painting garden fences and work very well with fence paint.

Excellent piece of ki
purchased this as I had two fences to build and paint for a neighbour plus I have a large fence of my own to which I was dreading
to make a start on. I looked at the newer version of this sprayer but glad i bought this one as the little compressor that comes
with it has a fair bit of power to push the paint out. I used straight Cuprinol ducksback which I found no problem for this sprayer
but I found that if you add no more than 5 % water, this sprayer was even better with the small addition of the water than I could ever
imagined. straight ducksback on 25no. 100 x 1.8 mtr panels took 20 mins. with the 5% water added it took 12 mins. It seems to flow
better with the small addition of water. The gun is very easy to clean, and I have to say this is a total time saver and now I have no dread
in painting my own fence which I used to do with a roller this piece of kit will do it in a fifth of the time and I’ll end up with a better finish

I bought the wagner fence and decking paint sprayer as I had a large fence painting project.i was not disappointed with its performance it performed like a professional spray gun. I painted 11 6ftx6ft fence panels on both sides in 1 day that would have taken me 1 week with a brush.
Cleaning the paint sprayer when I had finished for the day was very easy to do I would definitely recommend this paint spraye

So brought this to do my fences arrived on time and we’ll worth the money.
Done my fences with two coats in a matter of hours.easy to use and clean.only down side the cable isn’t very long.will recommend

Just What the worst d.I.yer needed
Every 3 years I loath the job of cleaning and painting protector on my decking. At over 70 years old, kneeling and painting is no fun. SO this year I bought the sealant and decided I must have a spray gun. As the worst d.I.yer in the world I had no idea whether it would even work with the thick sealant. OMG sooooo easy. I put it together in 2 minutes with the simple instructions
The whole deck 8m x 4m was done beautifully in 2 hours and my old codger back and knees survived intact with no pain killers needed. Thank you so much. AND the machine cleaned beautifully. Can’t wait to survive to 2024 and do agai

Love this product, arrived all boxed, easy to put together and use. Good quality, well made. Work well with any stain we used the duck back and went on well.

Well, managed to do 9 panels in one day, put 3 coats on most of the panels…watered down the first coat, used it as a primer, then put on another 2 coats…looks really pretty & clean in Willow green.
Took me a while to get going, but once I sorted it, all was ok.

Honestly, if like me you used the pump action fence panel sprayers or, god forbid, you use a paint brush, get this! Life’s too short and this saves you time and effort.

Last year it took me hours each night over the span of two weeks to treat my fence . I bought this on the off chance it would make the job a little quicker.
I set it up and thought I would just test it out to see how it would work. Less than an hour later the fence was done!!! I was amazed and more amazing I enjoyed doing it!!!!
Can’t wait till next summer so I can have another go.

I have not long ago moved and the new place had loads of fence panels, the garden is a funny shape which is why there a lots of panels, I thought this is going to take me forever, saw this paint sprayer, and purchased it , I’m so glad I did, it definitely made light work of what would have been exhausting work, and done it in a fraction of the time, would recommend this paint sprayer, plus easy to clea

I have 36 panels in my garden which takes me very long time to do. Finally decided to purchase this and wish I had long time ago. Can do a 6×6 panel in about 4 minutes max. Saves so much time. Only down side I would say is you seem to use more paint because it goes on thinker and after a couple of panels you need to refill it again. Can get messy but that’s nothing to the advantages of flying through everything in a quarter of the time. Brilliant.

Almost Perfec
I love this new addition to my tool equipment collection. I used it for the first time yesterday it saved me so much time also it was very easy to assemble and clean after use, the whole negative I would have with it is that the suction tube that’s inside doesn’t reach the bottom of the bottle and its ok when it tilted up or down depending on direction of spraying but spraying on a level key, when you get down near the level it can come out in blobs then you know you need to refill but you also a big splodge of paint that needs sorted out also. I would still recommend this but I would just advise everyone to make sure you don’t let it get too empty.
