I brought this to pair with their 40CM mower and because I already have the power washer and so have the batteries. This is the ‘bare’ one without batteries of its own. Its a bit more expensive than a basic strimmer but well contructed and works well. I have done the lawn edges & fences twice without extending the nylon cord and it is easy to clean after use. A marked improvement on its predecessor in both respects. Pairs well with the mower.

So far I am impressed with this strummer , cuts a very clean line and the battery works well. The only reason I didn’t score a 5 is it’s a strange mechanism to move the guard to vertical and horizontal as you have to put it on the floor, stand on the guard and move the handle which feels to me like one day it might break.

Already have a few Worx tools and wanted a new strimmer, and as we already have the batteries we thought why not.

I have a worx pressure washer I use for my mountain bike, and decided to get more use out of the battery by getting a cordless strimmer.
And I’m quite surprised, I have an old electric strimmer that’s always been plenty powerful for my needs and I didn’t think battery would really compete but much to my surprise this worx strimmer seems more powerful, made short work of the weeds along my wall & edging garden was no problem at all.
The only weak spot I’d say would be if you have a large garden then maybe a 2.0ah battery wouldn’t be enough to do the whole thing, but certain on my sized garden whizzing along the edges and along side of house it was more than enough.

This strimmer effectively gets to the parts where the mower cannot reach: it is a powerful tool. Angles and heights are adjustable. Further, it seems robust and well made and a great companion for our Worx mower and hedge trimmer which are three years old and still work like new.

This is awesome. Adjustable handle and angle makes it so functional. Added wheels for edging is great. Only downside is the charger – there are two charger models and this comes with the slow one. Takes hours to recharge. One full charge allows me to do the edging of my entire garden (1800 sqft)

This replaced an old corded strimmer that necessitated an extension lead and endless manoeuvrings around island shrubs in the lawn; not to mention battles with the strimming line that refused to extend itself. The lawn in question is about 100 sq yards with a perimeter of about 50 yards.
Anyway, the Worx arrived and assembly took about 5 seconds: it unpacks in two halves connected by the power line, and you just click the lower part of the shaft irrevocably into the upper part. Job done.
The head can strim horizontally and vertically; you switch from one to the other by gripping the shaft with one hand, pushing down the head with the other and twisting through 90 degrees. Simple.
I’ve had it 2 months and used it 5-6 times. Observations:
The battery charges quickly and lasts easily going round the perimeter twice, once for each head position.
It’s light and easy to handle, and above all there is none of the faffing about and untangling of leads that the corded strimmer used to need.
It’s quite a powerful cut, I would say stronger than the strimmer it replaced. I’m using it once a fortnight and it copes easily with the growth.
There has been no trouble with the line feed, and the line that it came with is still going strong.
It might not be the right model for larger gardens, but for something my size it’s brilliant.

This is a cracker. Easy to use and battery does well. Very portable and can do neighbours garden edges and borders as well as mine. Also use to trim area around family graves taking only a few minutes to complete the tasks.

This is a handy gadget! I’ve not used it much, but I think it will work very well. Keep a spare battery charged up and you could do a lot of strimming with it. Even better the battery fits other Worx tools which is very convenient.

A line feed that actually works!
Very light weight with plenty of power. The run time from fully charged is approximately 30minutes. I have tried the vertical edging mode yet, but it looks easy enough. Altogether an impressive well made strummer including a line feed mechanism which seems to work very well.
Light and easy to use
I like not having a cable tangling around. The battery is light, unlike on some other makes. You can change the angle of the shaft and the length, so it doesn’t make your back ache. The wheel thing is good so you can twist the whole head round to trim edges easily. The spool feeds out automatically and so far hasn’t jammed or let me down, which used to drive me mad on my old strimmer.

Works well for my garden (small) just use it for light grass striking and edging, nice not to be lugging a power cable around with me.

Got fed up with boring and awkward to use lawn edging tools , I wanted a lightweight and robust grass edge trimmer with good battery life. We have average size garden and have used it 3 times without charging just be careful of stones as they fly of in different directions and damage your cutting cord.

Light and gives great results
The trimmer is light, gives great results and seems well made. I took a bit of time to get used to it, specifically changing from “horizontal” to “vertical” cutting and vice versa. Also, the cord feed took a bit of getting used to but now works perfectly.

Efficient machine
Great little machine for tidying in areas too small for larger strummers. Instant start, plenty of power and battery life – no messing with petrol,oil, etc. to get smaller jobs done.
Great for a Small or Medium garde
Simple to use, charge lasts long enough for my garden size, clelary lacks the motor power of a normal strimmer but its no issue if you are using it to maintain a lawn.

It was delivered on time, it was easy to assemble and worked first time. I have used it for over an hour on the juice which was in the battery on delivery, and the borders and edges were finished much better than for some time in the past using heavier and better known models. The portability is especially useful, especially for we, the older generation.
I feel at the moment that it was a very good purchase.
Does the job
Bought this to replace a different model which kept seperating at the middle joint. I love the Worx tools and find they do their jobs well. I do not use the wheels with this model as I cannot find a way to align it that works with my garden edging so I just removed them and it works fine. I was suprised the battery didnt last as well as the previous model so will keep an eye on that.
Useful and powerful
Very pleased with this product. Put the strimmer through it’s paces and it delivered, and then some. Very good battery performance, so far. It is slightly heavy for prolonged use, but frequent stops help.

Good battery life, strong cut and easy to use.
Easy to set up. Two batteries and a charger in box. Runs for over 1/2 hour continual cutting, more than enough for most gardens. If not, battery change and other 1/2 hour of use. I found it was worth paying the extra for a quality product.
A wonder of modern technology
It took me a long time to make the decision to order this as I wanted a German brand named after a big bear! Ordering from Germany directly (as I have done previously) was almost 40 cheaper than sourcing from the UK, but my Amazon Pay would not register.
I bought this as a second choice and boy, am I pleased I did so. The edger is a wonderful addition and gives a neat edge in a fraction of the time it took me with shears. Adjusting the head takes some getting used to as the recommended method seems a bit overly aggressive, but it works. I am only on my first battery worth, but it cuts much like a petrol strimmer that has given up the ghost.
I am thrilled with my purchase and though some reviews were negative, they must have been written by serial wingers.
Not only is it Worx, but it also works and how! A brilliant bit of kit that punches well above its weight.

I am a woman forced into mowing my lawn due to the lockdown. The trimmer is a bit heavy but in overall experience I can handle holding this for 30 min. It does the job tremendously, and I am really happy with this tool as it is easy to use and assemble

My faithful old corded strimmer finallly gave out last week and I purchased this strimmer as a replacement . It was very easy to assemble. It is light weight and easily height adjustable.
I first used it on cutting longish grass in a small paddock and it did the job perfectly. I have also used it on cutting grass up to fences and walls and I am still on my first battery charge.
I was reluctant to purchase a cordless product but I am really impressed by this.

Best battery strimmer I’ve had.
I’ve had several battery powered strimmers. This is by far and away the best. I have an acre of garden and the batteries have plenty of life for that. The wheels make edging lawns very easy. The line feed button works very well. It is light and easy to adjust for length. I’m 6ft 3in and my wife 5ft 3in. Slightly fiddly changing from edging to strimming at first but easy enough when you get used to it.
Surprisingly powerful too.

After using it for 15 minutes… The fully-charged battery had run out of juice. And ouch my hand was aching from keeping the switch pressed for it to work. This feels like bad design, but I guess it might be a safety requirement?
I was using it to clear some long weeds, and that’s hard work for this kind of thing. But with two fully-charged batteries, at this kind of extreme, you’re going to get around 20-30 minutes before you have to wait 4-5 hours for one battery pack to recharge. On the other hand, you’ve probably got more than a suburban back garden if you need to spend more than 30 minutes strimming.
This is lightweight compared to many, but still fatiguingly heavy when you’re using it. I have a body harness designed for the industrial brush whackers (around 10 here on Amazon). Using some cable ties I rigged up a way of supporting it to make life easier. But there’s no clip on the unit itself for using a harness.
I’ve got to say that this feels to me much more like a 40-60 unit, rather than the 80-100 it’s priced at here on Amazon. That said, it was just about able to tackle long grass and weeds — something my old strimmer just couldn’t hack. I suspect simply using it for borders and those bits that a lawnmower misses will bring excellent results.

Highly recommend this – have had it for a couple of months. Easy to assemble and use. Bump feed good and very tough – you do not need much new line per session. Battery lasts well with no drop in power. Recommended at the price. It’s not heavy, but it’s not light either – but is well made.
Easy to use
This product is the best of battery operated ones that I have used. It does weigh a little more than the others but this is still not too heavy. The use is very easy and effective and keeps the edges of the lawn looking pristine in just a few minutes. I also use it up the allotment to keep the grass down rather than taking the lawn mower over all the time.
Absolutely Amazing tool
I’ll try and write a review like I wanted to see someone had written on strummers.
This strimmer is amazing.. it has some real torque to cut the grass, tough weeds even small twigs on bushes. I was worried being battery it would tickle the grass… but I was wrong. It loves to get stuck in and strim anything in its way with out losing any speed.
It looks the part too… no cheap looking strimmer and it’s functions are great. Did the whole front garden which is a small to medium size and still plenty juice left to carry on… and I even had the other battery to use as well.
I got this for my dad to use and to be honest there is not much difference between this one and my corded mains strimmer… I may even buy one myself !!
The nylon string did not feed itself out while in use which some do.
Really pleased with it and I can see no reason anyone would t be.
Only one bad thing I could honestly say… which isn’t bad is charging the batteries when it came took few hours… but really that is not worth worrying about for what this can do on the law
Superb
This cordless strimmer is brilliant. Had fresh turf an had left it to grow and let the soil harden for 6 weeks. Used this strimmer to cut along the edges of lawn to make mowing easier. Then used this to cut the edge (vertically) and tidy up the over look of the lawn. Used a battery that came with my worx drill, a 1.5Ah battery. That lasted roughly 30mins before a 4hr charge became needed.
I’ve have 4 stars for Ease of Assembly due to not having instructions in the box, but there is only 1 screw for the hood of the strimmer wire. Very easy indead.
I tested this out on wet heavy grass and it did struggle slightly. Did the job… But could hear the motor struggling ever so slightly. Like I said, still managed the job.
39 quid, can not complain.
Even used this to trim back a lightweight Bush, hedge cutter died an gave this a go, worked but was messy flinging the hedge cuttings everywhere 🙂 nothing a quick broom didn’t sort out.

This is a fantastic product , I’ve ditched my petrol strimmer and use the Worx Strimmer all the time. For edging its brilliant just be careful it’s so good it can cut it’s own edge !

This product is awesome. Does everything a mains strimmer would do but so much more manoeuvrable. Plus if I have a couple of minutes spare to strim round the lawn I can just pick it up, drop a battery in it without the time of having to get an extension lead, plug into the mains. Quality product feels like it will last forever.

Just the job
I already had the batteries so this was an economical way to sort out the borders on my allotment. Surprised how sturdy and powerful it was for the money. No complaints at all.
Dual purpose grass trimme
Excellent buy, of the grass trimmers I have bought this is by far the best grass trimmer. We balanced and sturdy design. The auto string feeder is a blessing, no more stop and pull the string. Love the fact it rotates to a vertical position to edge the grass, it saves another job to make the edges manually. Very happy with the purchase.

Absolutely brilliant product. I bought it to replace a corded strummer which I never really liked using. This is brilliant quality, lightweight and really easy to use. Something of a lethal weapon – it cuts edge sharply – but difficult to know exactly where you are cutting – certainly nothing like as easy as advert video would suggest. Also very difficult to change from strimmer to edger. Hoping I will get used to it as I persevere.

Fantastic and Battery Lasts for Ages
Bought this to replace my Bosch electric corded strimmer. It’s fantastic and the battery lasts for ages, went two months on one charge and I have a big garden. Would deffinatly recommend.

Great cordless strimmer but is on the heavier sided for me. Found myself having to take breaks every few minutes to ease strain on my arms (this may be because I am somewhat petite at 5ft). Used the battery from my Worx drill.

Easy peasy gardening
Glad I got it. Can’t be bothered with his petrol one, too beastly and awkward to start so thought I’d treat myself. Instructions are good enough to help you assemble but you need to fiddle with angle to do edging to get it right but once you’ve got the knack it’s straight forward. So easily to plug in and charge- first charge about 4 hrs but I did a neighbours 4meter square lawn and mine and put on charge again and it was still pretty charged.
Really light compared to others I’ve tried and comfortable hand positioning. So overall glad I got it it’s so easy to plug and go

Very impressed
I have gone through So Many strimmers , think I get a bit over zealous with them and expect them to do a bit more than they can. This strimmer is the best one I have ever brought. I have a very big garden and it virtually gets it all done before battery runs out. So much better than dragging a lead behind. So far it has tackled pretty tough weeds , I have used it several times and the line has not yet broken once. Not had to changed a spall yet so can not comment on that. If new line is put on and it shows No problems , I would then say “it’s the best strimmer I have ever had !”
Easy to use.
I have arthritis in my hands, so needed a lightweight strimmer, and this is very good. It comes with two batterie packs, and by the time they are used my hands have had enough anyway, though they do take a time to charge.
Getting another spool of the cutting line/cord wasn’t as easy as it should have been, which is disappointing.
Effective and long run time
Bought this to share the battery with our robot mower, so that we can just ‘grab and go’ rather than having to uncoil cords. It works well and has a number of cleaver features not found on similar competitor models. eg it can cut a line downwards by rotating the head. The run time seems really good on the 20v battery. As ever with these cordless tools you buy into a system rather than an individual tool to save money on batteries.

Had an old battery strimmer of another make years ago, it was OK but the battery was heavy and limited and you were always waiting for it to run out. This is fabulous. Went together easily – the range of adjustments for height and angle mean that it is easy to make it comfortable to use. We got it to keep our front and back grass in check – planning to get rid of it so don’t want to buy a mower. Had to recharge it after doing the front the first time – it was really long and damp. Since then it has done both bits, around 40 square metres, on one charge without any problem at all. I will almost be sad when we don’t need it any more.

As for it’s function I used my own 20v battery.
Extended and got to work. I’ve not a huge lawn but 3 smaller grass sections.
Worked great for strumming and perfect for edging the line seems far stronger than my other strimmer, did the entire area without the need to use the command feed line.
But I pressed the command line to see what it did. It worked none
Of that silly banging on the ground for line.
1 press the motor temporarily stops, line fed out and motor continues so simple.
My battery did all my garden 30mins cutting high grass and very grasses edges. The batter still had enough power for me to use in my drill for an hour to so I was happy.

Dont let its lightweight fool you its as good as any mains powered trimmer, i would highly recommend.

Have to say easy to use. Very light weight and easy to hold and use. Had it set up and ready to go within 5 minutes.
First time use have to say did the boarders and round the trees with hardly any effort.Like the fact I can use the battery’s on other Worx tools.
Worx well
Easy to assemble. Two batteries supplied, I have a lot of edges and one battery lasts the whole job if the grass is long.
Good value for money compared to other makes, I’ll see how well it lasts.
Seems wrong to have to stand on the guard to adjust the angle of the handle for edging or normal strimming, but that what it says in the instructions!
Time Saving Wonder Gadge
We have a very large garden with several borders and lawns. Prior to buying this product, cutting the edges was my most hated job. Not only did it take the best part of a day, by the time I had finished, my back and neck would be aching and I’d be very grumpy! This is the second year of use and I can honestly say it is the best garden gadget since the once-hated edge cutting now only takes an hour – it’s unbelievable really. It does take a little practice to get the knack of using it, and I would definitely recommend wearing safety specs/goggles as it can throw up small stones/pieces of bark etc. We bought an additional battery (one hour charge) and bigger charger. I nearly forgot – you can swivel the head to horizontal and use it as a regular strimmer for all those overgrown edges alongside fences. This may seem an expensive product, but if you have a big garden it’s absolutely worth it, and I have no hesitation in recommending it. The thought of going back to long-handled shears fills me with horror!
Best strimmer I have ever owned
Bought this grass trimmer body only, because I own a Wrox hydro shot and two batteries which can power share on both items.
Easier to use.
I still have a little conventional strimmer but with this product I do not have to get the long mains wire out. I have a 4amp battery from my car washer and it fits this strimmer perfectly. I used it for half an hour and the battery was only down to half power. It is a bit heavier than my old one but at least it has wheels.
The only problem I have is that I find it difficult to purchase the spare strimmer nylon line.

This is a lovely little strummer, batteries are interchangeable from my drill and lawn mower and easy to change. The spool is auto feed and REALLY works, a first for any strimmer I’ve ever owned, 1 x 20v 2a.h battery lasted well over an hour and I’m really really impressed. Easy to put together and overall no complaints at all.
Improvements required
So far it seems to alright my only issue is the amount or should i say the tiny amount of strimmer line but other than that not too bad for the price.

Fantastic, quality machine.
Brilliant piece of kit! So robust and tackles toughest of edges and grass. Never have to replace line for ages as doesn’t break and even when you do just pop replacement spool on, feed and on you go! No messing about with fiddly and frustrating spools/line as this one is simplicity itself.
Battery lasts easily for up to an average of 25 mins continuous use and longer for in between use. Spare included charged while you use first one so never really run out of juice anyway!
Not the cheapest admittedly but so worth the money! My previous was a Ryobi and useless compared to this worx trimmer. Fully recommend.
Power strimmer.
Better product than I thought,I got it for cutting grass in the churchyard and it was excellent,no problem cutting long grass .It was lightweight and easy to handle.I would definitely recommend this strimmer.
Great Strimme
I have purchased a number of strimmers over the last couple of years and when this one arrived (without the battery, yes I should have read the details more clearly!). However, once I ordered the battery I have to say it has been a great strimmer and would recommend so far.
Can't recommend this enough
Really lightweight and easy to use. I’ve used it about 5 times now, and unlike every other one I’ve ever used, the wire is always there due to the auto feed. If like me, you’d spend more time fixing that every time it breaks, this is great.
Great strimme
Perfect for my garden. I have a petrol strimmer but decided to get this as I had a worx Drill, this is so much better and less aggressive and love the edging function. Great strimmer.
Good strimme
Really good, lightweight strummer. Hasn’t got bells and whistles, but really does the job. With the 2 batteries you get around 60 mins of power. Only minor downside is each battery take about 4hrs to charge
Works well, small niggles
Does the job OK, but the spool is very small and runs out quickly. Buy spares at the same time or you’ll be left twine-less before the first battery charge depletes. Also, the angle adjustment on the head doesn’t feel robust. It works but feels like it’s going to break eventually

Good little strimmer for what it cos
It arrived quickly and it didn’t take long to assemble. The battery did have charge in it but I charged it before use anyway. Left it for 3 hours and this seemed more than enough charge.
Trimmed the grass edges up a treat and still had plenty of charge and line left.

Great product and fairly easy to put together…in terms of run time, I am extremely impressed. I have a garden that is 220ft long and this was able to do both sides of the turf on a single battery. Strummer Cord is very tuff and hasn’t broken once in the 2 rounds that I have completed. I prefer this strummer over my petrol one, quieter, easier and lighter….would have no hesitations in making a recommendation!

Battery life is a bit lacking
The design of this product is faultless, so easy to use. However I will mention that after the first full charge, the battery ran out before I could finish the front garden. I got the back garden done and three quarters of the front. At the moment I feel that a 2.0 battery is not enough for this product. I will see if the second charge will last a bit longer. That being said I do like it, the wheel adapter makes light of cutting along grass edges.
Reasonably good product but buy more batteries
Old plug in strimmer on its last legs so figured I’d go battery powered. This is as good as my plug in strimmer. Great ability to do edging and adjustability for ergonomics.
Down side is the battery life but fortunately 2 batteries was enough to do the edging around 25m2 of back lawn with plenty of circumference as it is an odd shaped plot.
Not enough juice even with 2 batteries to do the front lawn as well however.
Overall a good product that is easy to use.
