Shrinking PVC

Removing Rusted Bolts
Heat the nut with a heat gun if it won’t come off. This causes the steel to expand, which can break the rust seal. Apply heat for about a minute, then allow the nut to cool.

It’s light, you can work at height with it and won’t hurt your arms.
Temperature control is good with some very good accessories for accurate paint removal in tight spaces.
Bad points –
Cable length is too short! You will need an extension lead right next to you!
Heat direction accessories are good but very difficult to remove from the nozzle after use!
It still removes everything you point it at, including varnish!

Couldn’t wait to use it as desperately needed to remove layers of paint from stair bannisters. It actually does work,the paint just blisters under the heat and it just scrapes off effortlessly.
If it weren’t for the complete lack of temperature calibration, I would have no hesistation in recommending this item.
Seems effective although cuts out as expected if not allowed time to cool. Found the nossels hard to put on and take back off but maybe this will ease with use.

This heat gun works well and the internals look good too – I had to take it apart to change the power cable – the 1.5 metre lead supplied is ridiculously short. With its new, long lead, it is great.
Still early to review durability but seems great piece of kit so far. Thought I had ordered one in a case, better for storage, but can make do with this.

Got this after many failed attempts at stripping multiple coats of paint from a Victorian staircase using a chemical paint remover. This got the job done without a hassle. If you’re debating between a heat gun and a stripper, i highly recommend this heat gun!

I also like how the temperature control has two main levels but the temperature within those levels can be fine tuned by rotating the back of the device which you don’t normally see on lower priced models.
Temperature was consistent and the tools provided were an added bonus.
Saw this tested on you tube (after I bought it) and it beat the other cheap heat gun in a pointless test. I’ve used it a few times and it has done exactly what it should use as instructed by the instructions

I was unsure what setting would be needed as there is only + or -, no actual temperature reading so it was trail and error to see how hot i needed it to start to heat the paint without damaging the woodwork. Start low and work up, the instructions also mention to bring up to temp before pointing it at the surface you wish to heat which is good advice otherwise you could over heat and not know of the temp worked or just heating it for longer played a part.
Overall I am happy with the heat gun and all the extras, I didn’t use the scraper only due to buying a larger one with an angled edge with I found to be better, also the little metal stand at the base of thr handle is okay but it’s flimsy so I wouldn’t use it to hold the heat gun in place while using it. I could see someone getting hurt if it was knocked and fell.
I would recommend it, for the price you get a lot and it made my work much easier and the results were very positive. Back to paint stripping!

Looks and feels well made control simple to use. Would have liked a case, box supplied won’t last long.
Cases are on SEEKONE website but out of stock and when asked didn’t offer a restock date. Bit disappointing.

Compared to previous heat guns I’ve owned this is by far the best, love the different nozzles that come with it, mainly use it to heat down wax in my candles and works perfectly for this! No more wasted wax or jars!

I can’t recommend this heat gun enough. It arrived two days ago and I have stripped the paint on my stairs with ease. Well designed and well thought out. The case it very sturdy, made from good quality plastic and it doesn’t get hot even after an hour of use. It makes a truly pleasant change to buy a power tool off Amazon that is of good quality and does what it says on the tin.
The reviews are off putting but since I have received it I have only tried striping abit of the stairs paint and it seems to do the job. I’m hoping it works and doesn’t stop working like other customers have mentioned. Seems good so far stripped paint up fairly fast.
It was a little cooler than my previous heat gun, but worked fine, I was drying wet wood for paint and it worked fine.
1st time used a heat gun needed to strip back lots of layers of paint. Have a few pets in the house so reluctant to use paint stripper’s in case accidentally poisoning.
Temperature control very easy to set and vary does the job brilliant.
The extra attachment do fit and do the job BUT do require additional purchase of hose clamps to secure to heat gun nozzle to stay on . Not good when they fall off onto flooring at 600degrees

I used this in a project to restore an old wooden door to excellent effect. There’s a good range of attachments and I was able to use this for long periods without problems. My only small niggle is that the attachments can be hard work to get on and off.

The heat output produced is excellent. Stripped 4 layers of paint from my door easily on a mid heat setting.
I found the tools provided easy to use but not impressed by the wide tool ,ironically for doors, which I found awkward to use but of no real consequence.
Overall, a great piece of equipment for a great price and made a difficult job easy.

Didn’t expect “smoke” to come out the nozzle. It can’t be used anywhere near a smoke alarm if used indoors.
I didn’t give full star rating this was due to the attachments that came with the gun, these seemed to have been produced for another gun and fitted poorly, some dropped off by the pull of gravity if using the gun nose down. one fan fitting I have been unable to fit !
Other than that the gun is good for the price and has worked well to date.
superb for crafting at home, deals with the smallest to largest job, be aware this gets very hot so start on a lower setting to be sure, great piece of kit.
Bought this to burn off varnish off all the windows and doors in the house and found it worked great. Heat control was good and found low speed and almost max temp was the best combination for me. The only thing lacking was lead. I had to extend it as I was working up a ladder. It’s very short, 3m should really be a minimum. Anyway, easily rectified and the only shortcoming to me. 1 star off for lead length.
This was bought to strip 100 years-worth of gloss paint off all the doors and skirting. I couldn’t be more pleased. You have to be quite careful as it’s almost TOO powerful. Turned up full it’ll start to scorch the wood. Turned down a bit it does the job admirably. The handle and casing remain cool.
Obviously (and nothing to do with this tool in particular) stripping gloss… especially OLD gloss is a nasty job and a mask with adequate gas filtration is an absolute must.

My second heat gun, and this one was recommended to me. It’s been perfect for the resin artwork I create, easy to use settings, and no issues at all.
The heat gun is really good and easy to use but it should come with holder as well fair enough, work well used for vinyl wrapping or other purpose.

I’ve completed the jobs I bought this for and it was a joy to use, lightweight, readily adjustable and really effective. Excellent purchase.
It is perfect for the removal of age-old paint from wood., with perfect result.
The best 20 I ever spent because I effortlessly stripped stripped layers of paint from half a door frame in about an hour (it took me about 9 hours over 3 sessions and LOADS of effort to not quite finish the other side!).
The attachments are also good to avoid overheating areas you don’t want to as well, and it is nice and light to use, and didn’t overheat once whilst using it. The only downside I’d say is the scraper if comes with is worse than useless, just so blunt, so spend a few pounds and get a robust and sharp scraper to make your life easy.
Bought to install shingle roof on gazebo. Light and easy to use with great heat output.

The temperature control whilst basic and functional has no real markings/temperature indication hence you’re left using the thermometer icon ‘clock’ position as a rough guide to temparature.
This is a great little tool, but the cable is annoyingly short. When I was sanding a high door and so had to go up the ladder I had to prop my big extension cable at the top of the ladder too as the cable is only about 3 feet long for the tool. This is a shame as it is otherwise fantastic value and very effective at stripping paint. Despite this problem I would still recommend this product.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect when i got this, but I’m renovating a house and was trying to strip paint off of a stair banister using a paint stripper gel. It was so time consuming and a lot of effort for little effect, so i thought I’d try this. I am so impressed with how quickly and cleanly the paint came off. This tool is easy to use and has made my life so much easier!
Great heat gun with adjustment for heat, great for any job. Have used to solder and for removing paint on a old window frame, perfect adjustment to suit your working speed. Tools are not so good, but they are free and I can’t fault them.
I used this to strip years of gloss off an open staircase. It’s was very time consuming but the results are worth it. Definitely plenty of ventilation for the fumes. Good with having temperature control. This product melted right back to the wood. Just be prepared if it’s a big project then it will take time.

This is okay for price but I had a DeWalt for 10 years before this. The lead is to short but what do we expect for the price. I know what I will buy next time.

Removed all gloss and paint that has been on the woodwork for decades.
Once I got the hang of using it, paint was gliding off with the help of the scrapper that is included.
Make sure you open windows to ventilate the room as smoke can build up.

This heat gun has made the job easy, you will still need to give the area a light sand, the attachments are all fit for purpose. I cannot fault this heat gun .

Excellent product but becareful putting the tools on the dryer as the edge’s are quiet sharp I don’t think they should be like this but as you got to hold them to push them on to the dryer my hand slipped and the one tool actually nicked my finger and bled but apart from this I would recommend it and it’s actually a very good product for the money ,I would recommend using heat gloves or a pair of gloves when your actually using it anyway this will over come this problem .buy it you won’t be disappointed .I still give this product a 5 stars as it’s a very good product for the money

Worked very well taking the paint off old wall panelling. Handy temperature control button made it quick and easy to use and the variety of nozzles meant that we could get into the nooks and crannies that are usually a pain to get at. Very pleased with this tool, efficient and decent value for money.

Great price on a prime deal. Has been used a number times and works well. The nozzle obviously gets very hot so need to take care not to let it touch anything when leaving it to cool. Run for 10 seconds on cooler setting before switching off.

The ability to adjust heat from warm to very hot is great! You can get just the right amount of heat you need and so avoid burning!
