Different Uses
I bought this 2 years ago. After some time I can report it has so many uses.
Initially, I bought this to heat vinyl wrap to wrap my car.
I’ve since used it to assist me in defrosting my so called “frost free” fridge/freezer. For heavily frozen freezer just heat to loosen the ice blocks and just chisel away.
I built a custom watercooled gaming PC a few months ago. Used this to heat up acrylic tubing so that I could make bends for the system.
Very happy.

Having worn out a few heatguns, this one stands out. The highest temperature is very hot but you have 2speeds and variable temperature control. So far it has been the best one to use for a while!
Works well but one short coming.
Works well and provides good value for an adjustable temperature controller like this has, valuable feature, however the power cable is woefully short being a meter at most on mine.
Great device
This is an excellent hot-air gun. I needed it for removing vinyl decorations from a motorhome. It works really well. It has a range of accessories for other purposes, such as shrink-wrapping.
Great purchase
Surprised at how easy it made a hard job, took the paint off with relative ease, not to heavy to hold, needed to use extension lead but you can’t expect long lead’s on home tools, and plenty of stuff in the box. Maybe wear gloves to avoid any accidents.

Works well bit of practise to hold it at the right distance and length of time to remove old paint, once you get the knack works a treat.

Needed a Heat Gun to help strip off paint from a chest or drawers.
This kit does the job very well indeed, with easily controlled heat output.
Feels fairly good and robust quality and is easy to hold.
Just remember to let the unit cool down before packing it away !!
This may be the best thing I've ever bought.
Not to be dramatic, but we’ve used so much paint stripper over the past week trying to get rid of what feels like 600 layers of 90 year old paint. This heat gun got it off in seconds. I partly want to cry because never again will I have achey arms and be covered in sticky scraps of paint. Honestly – if you’re stripping paint, save some time and buy this. I’m so happy right now.
We’re doing up our house, the woodwork has been painted again and again over about 40 years’ and so has thick yellowed, running paint which has annoyed me since the day we moved in about 18 months ago. It is a massive and time consuming task and the thought of paint remover being inhaled and remaining lingering in the house was not very appealing hence purchasing this.
Whilst I have what feels like a lifetime of paint to remove the task has been started and I’m actually enjoying it. It’s kind of therapeutic watching the paint bubble up and then scraping 200 layers of paint off to reveal the wood that hasn’t seen daylight since the 70’s.
The gun is easy to use, the attachments I’ve used so far have been good, it heats up quickly, cools down pretty quickly too and is making a very tedious task easier to tackle. I have discovered that the stairs have not only been painted but also varnished. This took the paint layers off and then dealt with the varnish layer well too, bit by bit the wood is being revealed and without this gun I’m not sure what approach I could have taken. There is some smell but it clears quickly and is not anything like the smell that paint remover creates. I have two children and animals and a set of lungs myself that I value so paint remover was not the top of my list.
If like me, you need something to help tackle the dreaded over painted surfaces of the past then I can recommend this gun as a pretty cheap, easy and effective tool that does the job.

I had never used heat guns before but thought I’d try one to strip some doors.
I’d been warned that they could scorch the wood but within a short space of time it was easy to configure the correct settings and with minimal practice, the layers of paint were removed much more easily than I thought they would be.
The cord could have been a bit longer to complete the jobs I needed to do but the use of an extension lead obviously doesn’t detract from the gun’s efficiency.

Did not use the scraper as already had one if any complaints could do with a longer lead as got it to strip some paint about 6 or 7ft up so had to put extension on a stand to reach. But minor issue. But all in all a good product would recomend

Light weight, the attachments included cover all aspects you’ll need. Of the 2 scrappers included the striping knife is my preferred as the triangular knife tended to rotate under any kind of resistance despite the top and bottom locking nuts being tightened to max

This 2000w heat gun heats up real quick with a dial to adjust the temperature. I think this will be really useful, i.e, epoxy, having control of the heat.

Easy to use good output of heat for stripping paint from doors
I was going to buy the Dewalt cordless heat gun but it is almost three times the price of this one and I only need a heat gun very infrequently so can’t justify the additional cost.
This item arrived well packaged and with the various nozzles and scrapers in a bag inside the box. The nozzles are made from fairly thin metal but they are only designed to deflect the heat so no need for anything heavier.
The device has a large, variable temperature control in the opposite end from the heat output and combined with the two speed air flow switch, I was pleasantly surprised to find how much control it provides the user.
There is a little metal stand that folds down to allow the device to stand with the heat output going upwards, hands free. This is a good idea but the stand is very narrow and I wouldn’t trust that the gun wouldn’t fall over. I would probably stick it into a vice or some kind of clamp rather than use the stand.
All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Lots of attachments
Lots of attachments, good heat control. Only 1 point against as the heat control knob does not line up with the arrow and its difficult to judge temperature. I used a paint pen to add some numbers so only 4/5 stars
It was taking ages to burn off the paint layers from my garage wooden door. I had two heat burners, an old Black and Decker and a ‘Red Devil’, that just didn’t hack it. I knew that I needed something that would save that most precious of commodities i.e. time.
After considering the reviews available I decided to purchase this item and my goodness I’m glad that I did!

It’s light, you can work at height with it and won’t hurt your arms.
Temperature control is good with some very good accessories for accurate paint removal in tight spaces.
Bad points –
Cable length is too short! You will need an extension lead right next to you!
Heat direction accessories are good but very difficult to remove from the nozzle after use!
It still removes everything you point it at, including varnish!

Heat gun for removing old pai
Couldn’t wait to use it as desperately needed to remove layers of paint from stair bannisters. It actually does work,the paint just blisters under the heat and it just scrapes off effortlessly.
I chose this item, as I could see uses for it beyond 3D printing (where it is useful for getting rid of the very fine threads that can compromise the visual integrity of the model). It is solid, and can indeed sit squarely on its rear end blowing upwards. The heat seems to do what it says, but here’s the rub – there is no way of knowing what heat is currently being output. There are two switches, for up to 450C and the second for up to 600C. But there is no indicator anywhere, and you have to guess what temperature you’re generating. Fine if you’re whacking it up to full to blitz old paint, but not quite so clever if you’re trying to blow away some fine plastic threads without melting the model. And is the dial linear or exponential? There is no way of knowing.
If it weren’t for the complete lack of temperature calibration, I would have no hesistation in recommending this item.
You must not over do it!
Seems effective although cuts out as expected if not allowed time to cool. Found the nossels hard to put on and take back off but maybe this will ease with use.

Seems quite well made and the fact it can stand on its own is useful.
Easy to control and seems to get get hot… used it to bend plastic pipes and seems fine.

This heat gun works well and the internals look good too – I had to take it apart to change the power cable – the 1.5 metre lead supplied is ridiculously short. With its new, long lead, it is great.

Was expecting a somewhat “plasticky” or toyish device given how relatively cheap this but quite impressed by the build quality.
I also like how the temperature control has two main levels but the temperature within those levels can be fine tuned by rotating the back of the device which you don’t normally see on lower priced models.
Temperature was consistent and the tools provided were an added bonus.

This is the first time I’ve purchased and used a heat gun so I have nothing to compare it against. I found that the kit appears to cover a lot of scope not just stripping paint. But that is what I purchased it for, it comes with a range of different nozels, a scraper and a handle to attach different blades like a contour blade for handrails.
I was unsure what setting would be needed as there is only + or -, no actual temperature reading so it was trail and error to see how hot i needed it to start to heat the paint without damaging the woodwork. Start low and work up, the instructions also mention to bring up to temp before pointing it at the surface you wish to heat which is good advice otherwise you could over heat and not know of the temp worked or just heating it for longer played a part.
Overall I am happy with the heat gun and all the extras, I didn’t use the scraper only due to buying a larger one with an angled edge with I found to be better, also the little metal stand at the base of thr handle is okay but it’s flimsy so I wouldn’t use it to hold the heat gun in place while using it. I could see someone getting hurt if it was knocked and fell.
I would recommend it, for the price you get a lot and it made my work much easier and the results were very positive. Back to paint stripping!

Cannot faul
Compared to previous heat guns I’ve owned this is by far the best, love the different nozzles that come with it, mainly use it to heat down wax in my candles and works perfectly for this! No more wasted wax or jars!

I can’t recommend this heat gun enough. It arrived two days ago and I have stripped the paint on my stairs with ease. Well designed and well thought out. The case it very sturdy, made from good quality plastic and it doesn’t get hot even after an hour of use. It makes a truly pleasant change to buy a power tool off Amazon that is of good quality and does what it says on the tin.

The reviews are off putting but since I have received it I have only tried striping abit of the stairs paint and it seems to do the job. I’m hoping it works and doesn’t stop working like other customers have mentioned. Seems good so far stripped paint up fairly fast.
Reliable
It was a little cooler than my previous heat gun, but worked fine, I was drying wet wood for paint and it worked fine.
1st time heat gun use
1st time used a heat gun needed to strip back lots of layers of paint. Have a few pets in the house so reluctant to use paint stripper’s in case accidentally poisoning.
Temperature control very easy to set and vary does the job brilliant.
The extra attachment do fit and do the job BUT do require additional purchase of hose clamps to secure to heat gun nozzle to stay on . Not good when they fall off onto flooring at 600degrees

I used this in a project to restore an old wooden door to excellent effect. There’s a good range of attachments and I was able to use this for long periods without problems. My only small niggle is that the attachments can be hard work to get on and off.

Tried this out quickly after it came the other day and it seem a capable heat gun. Well equipped with attachments and a stripping knife and spoke shave. Quite a lot for the money really.. Will see how it goes with a bigger job but looks promising.

Surprising
Didn’t expect “smoke” to come out the nozzle. It can’t be used anywhere near a smoke alarm if used indoors.
The gun is simple and easy to use, and as yet I’ve only had it on the first setting on the fan as this gives me good control of where and how far the heat is projected.
I didn’t give full star rating this was due to the attachments that came with the gun, these seemed to have been produced for another gun and fitted poorly, some dropped off by the pull of gravity if using the gun nose down. one fan fitting I have been unable to fit !
Other than that the gun is good for the price and has worked well to date.

More than does the job
I needed this for using heat shrink solder connectors. The low speedsetting means I can use it in a small space without blasting everything around it, and the temperature setting is variable enough that it heats up just the connector. I use the smallest of the accessories, and it works perfectly. It’s a handy tool at a very handy price.
Great little burner but short lead
Bought this to burn off varnish off all the windows and doors in the house and found it worked great. Heat control was good and found low speed and almost max temp was the best combination for me. The only thing lacking was lead. I had to extend it as I was working up a ladder. It’s very short, 3m should really be a minimum. Anyway, easily rectified and the only shortcoming to me. 1 star off for lead length.

This was bought to strip 100 years-worth of gloss paint off all the doors and skirting. I couldn’t be more pleased. You have to be quite careful as it’s almost TOO powerful. Turned up full it’ll start to scorch the wood. Turned down a bit it does the job admirably. The handle and casing remain cool.
Obviously (and nothing to do with this tool in particular) stripping gloss… especially OLD gloss is a nasty job and a mask with adequate gas filtration is an absolute must.

Can't believe I tried chemicals before this...
The best 20 I ever spent because I effortlessly stripped stripped layers of paint from half a door frame in about an hour (it took me about 9 hours over 3 sessions and LOADS of effort to not quite finish the other side!).
The attachments are also good to avoid overheating areas you don’t want to as well, and it is nice and light to use, and didn’t overheat once whilst using it. The only downside I’d say is the scraper if comes with is worse than useless, just so blunt, so spend a few pounds and get a robust and sharp scraper to make your life easy.
