Combination micro oven excelle
I thought the thick booklet rather confusing, but since using all the functions I think this splendid. It probably helps if you are an experienced cook. But with time a new cook will get the hang of it.
Panasonic Combination Microwave Oven and Grill.
This is my third one since they first came out years ago, I use it for most of my cooking, so don’t need to use my big oven. Very economical and versatile. I just can’t manage without it!
Gets the basics right.
Liked the decent size, stainless steel interior, large (340mm) plate and power (1000 watts).
Dislikes:
1) The lightweight build – not in the same street as a 35 year old Sharp carousel II it replaced – but in fairness the Sharp cost 350 when new.
2) The feet are smooth plastic causing the oven to skate around the work top when the ‘open door’ button is pushed. Rectfied by stick on silicone rubber feet and a heavy ‘lazy susan’ placed on top.
3) Power cable is woefully short (less than a metre). So needed to buy a switchable extension socket.
Would have preferred rotary controls but the touch panel seems ok so far. Overall reasonable value for the price.

The oven cooks at 1600w to 2300w. Grill 1300w. Microwave fast and easy to see through the door at what’s cooking, unlike the old model, so no need to worry. The IEC power output as stated on the advert is not the actual heat of the oven, grill or microwave. Had to search other seller information to discover that before buying this. Took out 3 year insurance. Hope I never need it.

I can cook packets of rice vertically
The previous microwave was not suitable for cooking rice packets vertically and had to be cooked laid down in 2 x1minute goes. Also was only capable of 200 degrees C so was limiting my abilities but this has a maximum of 220 degrees C and is just what I needed.

I am so glad I purchased this combination microwave. It is so easy to use and saves me having to heat my big oven for smaller items. Being at workgroup height is also a bonus no more bending to retrieve my baking. Would recommend to anyone on their own or a small family.

I do like it’s functionality – convection oven, grill and microwave. Chaos defrost function works really well. My only minor issue is that the instruction book pages keep falling out and have to be taped back in place. Very happy with my purchase.

Door catch “sloppier” than my previous version of same model
Love this microwave. 4th in our family to have one. Last one died and have replaced. Best feature is the Chaos Defrost not found on any other oven. Jacket spuds perfect. Only gripe is the door catch feels less positive than previous one. It closes fine but feel it could be a firmer click.

Great Combination Microwave Ove
This was bought as a replacement for my combination microwave oven of the same Panasonic model of which this is the latest model.
This is my 3rd one, the previous one lasted for 5 years, the one before that about 6 years which means I didn’t even have to read the instructions, it is simple to use.
In my view it is worth buying to have the convenience of being able to use the oven and grill instead of the big oven at home, and it pays for itself over time. There are many combined functions and variables such as being able to use the combination of microwave and convection oven or grill at the same time. Easy to use and clean.

Now that I have become used to it I can cook a meal quickly without having to use multiple appliances.

I had a slimline Panasonic combination microwave for several years & I bought his one to replace it. This one is just as good & I can recommend it.
The only down side to this order was the packaging had been damaged in several places, including a hole! Parts of the cardboard were wet but the oven itself was not damaged.

Instructions are somewhat complicated, but once they have been mastered are extremely useful

I had the much older version of this model. I’d had it for years! Panasonic goods are always simple to use with simple instructions. It has a few new features. Love everything about this. If there are only one or two people, it can easily replace your main oven for all cooking & baking needs.

I had the previous version of this model for a few years and quite happy with it. I thought it had developed a fault with the convection oven. I bought a thermostat which confirmed the cooking temperatures were off beam. I decided to replace it with the newer model and offer the, still mainly working, machine to my student nephew.
The new Panasonic is essentially the same but with a few added tricks, however, I find there is still an issue with convection cooking, unless I am doing something wrong. When pre-heating with the old model, the “Ready” alarm would sound although my cooking themometer was well below the target, so I would wait until the themometer showed the desired level. When cooking, the temperature was not constant and kept rising, so a pie re-heating at 190F after 20 minute wasalmost at 250F.
The new machine is just the same except now, when pre-heating to 190F, the oven, according to my thermostat reached 220F before “Ready” and still continues to rise during cooking.
I have tested my thermmostat in a pan of boiling water and it’s spot on.
As a single “No-cook” male, I do rely heavily on the Cobination Microwave, Grilling and Microwaving are fine, but for anything more ambitious -like heating a pie – I’m not convinced it can be trusted.
Edit: Er, I think I have been comparing degrees F on the thermostat with degrees C on the oven. Perhaps explains why the food has been a “tad” undercooked/overcooked. Also means I have probably disposed of a perfectly good Microwave. Cooking, laundry are shopping are not my best skills.

Not had it long but getting the hang using different functions, I really like like how compact this multi function microwave is seems to have all the whistles and bells and the instruction booklet is great with lots of clear instructions and lots of menus to try out well done Panasonic

Well, it worked perfectly so I didn’t have a reason to get rid of it. I decided to replace it with the newest model and it hasn’t disappointed. It has additional features and the only thing you can’t do in it is fry food – but who fries foods nowadays anyways? It’s quite stylish also and fits well in he kitchen.

It’s very simple and easy to use, so far, the white finish looks a bit cheap , and the door opener , seems that it may break easily , it’s got a very good sized turntable, I don’t know why manufacturers have to use polystyrene instead of cardboard, but there you go , replacing a Sanyo stainless steel one , I had , had for many years

A good kitchen item.
I found it difficult to use to start with, hence 4 stars, but once I’d read the manual it became easier. At the beginning I was worried that the fan continued running when the cooking cycle was ended. However, on reading the manual section, page 118, on questions and answers this was explained and I am now happy using my combi oven. The manual is very good. I still need to refer to it for cooking times etc. The oven comes with an enamel plate as well as the usual glass plate and a wire rack. Food is cooked in half the time it used to be in my old one. I would recommend this combi oven, but be warned that you must read the manual belore you use it.

Quality not as good as expected
Bought to replace 40 Litre Sharp which was too big as family got smaller. The interior stainless steel does not appear to be as good quality as Sharp was. The back panel always shows some kind of marks on it, like when you get oil on water! Cleanliness may be an issue as you can’t see the fan area, unless you use a hand mirror The clock, to me, is superfluous, most kitchens already have one, and who wants to reset it each time it’s disconnected from the mains. So far have only cooked fish fingers, Yorkshire puds and frozen meals, all of which were perfectly done once I’d downloaded temperature conversation chart. Manual and cookbook are good.

I’ve been thinking for sometime about buying this machine to replace a standard microwave, and can say I’m so happy I did. I cook on a gas Rayburn which is totally different, so I’m having to adjust to just warming up croissants in the combo oven, using the grill for cheese on toast, jacket potatoes etc., because I wouldn’t heat up a huge Rayburn just for that. I bake cakes so that will be the next test.
People on here have been so helpful and supportive answering my questions, as have the Panasonic Team. I’m learning to cook again in a different way, but loving it. This machine had given me flexibility. Love it!
Cooking flexibility
I’ve been thinking for sometime about buying this machine to replace a standard microwave, and can say I’m so happy I did. Great ove
We bought this to replace a previous Panasonic microwave oven of similar specification which despite fairly heavy use has served well for around 10 years and then only met its demise when dropped by a decorator. Very pleased with it, the build quality appears excellent and although the controls are a little different from the previous machine it was immediately easy to use. The rack supplied was a little high for some of our requirements, but we retained that from the previous oven, so that was no problem.

Panasonic Microwave
This is primarily a microwave and the microwave facility is what is used mostly so why is the microwave select button placed third way down from the select buttons. It is difficult to select and I have had to place culoured stickers by the buttons so as make it easier to remember. That is my only criticism of the unit. Other than the design feature I complained about the Unit works fine
