BODYPROX Patella Tendon Knee Strap (2 Pack)

The BODYPROX Patella Knee Strap is thin yet packs a powerful punch. It delivers just the right amount of support to stabilize the kneecap during physical activity. Worn just below the patella, the strap helps control the effects of muscular vibration during repetitive impact to reduce fatigue and decrease the risk of injury. When muscles are overworked, your risk of injury increases. Working out with the proper support can allow you to perform longer and safer.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have a drawer full of every kind of knee support, all of which over the years I have found lacking. So I prevaricated before buying these, anyway Eureka! They are wonderful. I have some damage to my knee and arthritis in both. Within a week one knee was stable and almost pain free the other one more stable and less painful and continues to improve. I can enjoy life again. Although appreciate not a cure they have improved my quality of life considerably. Don’t prevaricate!

Been looking at getting either these or knee sleeve supports, figured give these a try. my knees have taken a battering over the years with rugby and powerlifting and being in the Army, I wish I had bought these sooner, literally felt the difference in the support instantly.

After a annoying knee injury from road running during lockdown my exercise had come to a stop. I was recommended this strap and I’m back. I can still feel a minute amount of discomfort but running has not made it worse like before. Well pleased.

I was sceptical about the effectiveness of these when I ordered them. I already have support that covers the full knee, but it wasn’t really helping. These provided almost instant relief for my knee pain though. Along with applying an ice pack they are keeping my knee pain at bay. Fingers crossed.

Have started recently getting a little niggle in my right knee so decided it was time to get some knee supports for running. These arrived last night. Wasn’t sure how they were gonna feel so only put one on my bad knee. Well it was incredibly comfortable. It didn’t interfere with movement and it didn’t move around. Great support so really happy. Wearing the support actually made my bad knee feel better than my good knee so definitely going to wear on both from now on. I have short legs that are kinda chunky. I found other supports way too long but these are a perfect size and don’t cover half of my leg.

I have had knee pain for years and don’t really know what causes it,wear and tear was the diagnosis.Fortunately it is only one knee so I put up with it.I started using the Bracoo strap which solved the problem straight off.The Patella strap is another version of the Bracoo strap. The strap is a bit fiddly to put on and a bit bulkier otherwise it works well.

Cannot recommend enough. This is my second purchase in as many weeks. Bought second pair for my Dad and he is over the moon that he can walk without severe pain while wearing these. By no means a permanent fix for his issue but being able to walk without pain has made such a difference.

  17. RonaldRenfro says:

With them I am able to walk more easily. I wear these supports approx. 14 hours a day, they feel comfortable, they keep cool and dry (unlike some other products that can draw moisture from the skin). they do not have to be strapped up really tight as they stay in place all day with minimal pressure. Only remove them at bed time. have helped my mobility a great deal, and a quick and effective way to support the knee.

Purchased for running as I have a knee issue. Have played around with it a little to try and make it comfortable as I find wearing it against bare skin it can pinch / rub at the back. I wear a knee support and then my running leggings over the top of that and then the patella strap over the top of my leggings. It stays in place the whole time and offers very good support with out actually feeling it there. Have found it has made such a big difference when I run and now I have very minimal aches / pain afterwards.

There are a great many reviews of this product that I read beforehand. Some wanting to put it on inappropriate parts of the leg, some looking for the support that only a full compression sleeve might give, some that clearly need to see a doctor. I’ve no reliable medical knowledge, but I got that far.

I was therefore initially sceptical, but I have some minor damage incurred from an injury 3 years ago and this still leaves me with a stiff knee joint which sometimes gives me pain, especially after a day’s wirk, sedentary though it is.

I can strap my knee up or use a long sleeve, and this does help, but neither strategy is really that convenient. Sleeves roll down and sweat, straps are uncomfortable after a few hours. Resting it elevated also helps, but is not a great way to sit at a desk! I probably need medical advice – but maybe not this year if I can avoid it. The NHS is a bit occupied at the moment.

So I tried this. I have a specific recurrent pain in the joint below and to the left of my left knee cap. This seemed to target that same spot.

And it works. I don’t know why it should, but it does for me. I use it occasionally, when I need to, just on the one leg, and it offers support and pain relief when I need it.

I am both very pleased and very grateful. This is an excellent product that meets my specific needs. Thank you.

These knee supports are unbelievably fantastic!! I have arthritis in my knees and love to dance (line dancing and folk dancing 3 times per week, 2 hour plus sessions).

They have made all the difference. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true. I first tried them a few years ago, my partner bought me a pair.

They really support your knee and make it move less, if that makes sense. I am in much less pain now and I would not dance without them!!

Brilliant buy, so so happy with them

This product is amazing, the pain in my legs is virtually a thing of the passed. The support straps are so comfortable that I hardly notice I am wearing them.
I hadn’t even thought that my pain could have been caused by my knees, I always thought it was my hips, but wearing these straps has just changed everything, I don’t have the constant ache and I feel more confident about taking part in a simple gym routine

Husband has had painful knee for quite a while. Going fishing means carrying a lot of weight, so thought this might help him. It did, he wore it for three days before setting off fishing, to get used to it, and it really did make a difference. He had to make it less tight, as he managed to make a sore patch on his skin, but lesson has been learned. Would ask a new wearer to not do it up too tightly to begin with, especially if carrying heavy gear!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy husband suggested I buy these to provide some support due to my ongoing knee pain/injury. They are far more comfortable than the elasticated tube style (which I find restricts movement too much) and they stay in place, even over leggings.

However, whilst they are comfortable and offer some stability whilst running, they don’t offer the amount of support I’d hoped for during longer runs.

Unfortunately, I think my injury/pain may not be something that can be assisted by the knee straps, not for long distances or higher impact anyway. Certainly helpful for short, gentle runs and for walking though.

    Comfortable, Not Enough Suppo

So, having taken up running as a pass time in the past few months, I have been suffering from knee pain. This pain usually begins to grind at the 5km mark of my run. These straps have now negated most if not all of the pain (what I guess to be patella tendinitis) and allowed me to get to 15km runs comfortably. Couldn’t recommend more.

As patella tendinitis so I purchased this to see if it helped and hey presto it was like it had almost gone completely..
Well I ran with it on that night and what a difference I then wore it for work the next day and a massive help there too.
Still sore after a run but not like it was?
I was beginning to think that was it old age had set in and forget keeping fit I’ll be on sticks before long!!
A week or so in to wearing it where I felt I needed support and I feel it’s pretty much cured?
I was sceptical to be honest but it’s proof rite here did the job perfectly

I am 80 year old and injured my right knee after carrying out a job at home which require spending a great deal of time kneeling resulting in suffering extreme pain in my knee, a friend recommended the Patella knee strap which I duly purchased and after wearing it for four days the pain had subsided and after a week I decided to leave it off and as I was walking normally with no pain at all I have not needed to wear it at all. The strap really does support the knee joint and as far as I am concerned is a well manufactured excellent product, the only negative I have found is that after removing the strap before going to bed I had itchiness at the back of the knee however I rubbed this with a cream that I have and it soothed it immediately, perhaps the part of the strap that contacts this area could have a softer material in place of the present material.

This a comfortable knee strap once you strap it on straight leaving no overlapping velro chaffing off the inside of your knee. That said, its easy to put on and a 5 star access for those with knee injuries or any longer term knee issues that would block one running or even cycling. It works for me on both and I have to recommend it for anybody with knee issues. I got my partly fallen arches supported with new runners and the strap completes my ability to run again without debilitating pain. The mild aches are arthritic and laughably mild compared to the pre strap pain I suffered even after short runs. Just make sure its a firm strap that feels like it when done.

I took up running 12 weeks ago (prob not the best choice as I have joint and nerve pain issues) and whilst I really enjoyed it as a form of exercise my pain issues were holding me back. This product paired with a slow and consistent running pace has made it possible for me to keep up the running. I can now do 5k x3 times a week with a lot less pain then I had been experiencing prior to using this product. I would definitely recommend it as an aid to managing knee discomfort. I recently started using them during my body project workouts andthry have really helped here too.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThis is an incredible product for running, though your mileage might be different. Speaking of my personal experience, I resumed my running this month after 5 month break due to current situation. I see a big difference in experience between 2 runs, first run at 4km without and second run at 5km with the strap. Its obvious I can cover a longer distance due to the knee pain* only occurred after 4km with pain factor (needle like pain) in contrast to the initial run which my pain kicks in at 1.6km with sharp pain (as if i already ran 5km). For both of each runs I did my standard leg warm-ups. *possibly Iliotibial Band Syndrome, pain at each side knee cap. Pain subsides immediately after i stop running.

This product would make it easier for anyone who may has history of knee pain or just started running to train. It helps reduce pain and possibly avoid injury. I feel this product will help me accomplish a life long goal of completing a half marathon once, which i previously thought its impossible. Though common sense says DO NOT OVER DO IT! Stop immediately if you feel pain, run within your limit, and have at least 2 days rest inbetween runs or other high impact activity like football/tennis.

    Pros:
The strap fits small knee size at 11inch (below knee cap).
Its tight fit. this means it neither fall off or had the feeling of dropping off during my run
Easy to adjust due to the strong velcro strap
I can feel its supporting my knee, and its evidence by the massive reduction of pain.
Faster recovery and facilitates training for long distance running due to better knee support

    Cons:
Nothing to fault it, but perhaps they should include an instruction to say how to wash it (hand wash or chunk it into the washing machine and at what temperatures. Looking at amazon reviews, its washable.

    Tips:
To tighten, its ok to overlap the the initial strap to the second strap. Don’t mind the bulge. See my 2nd picture in this review. Then, tightening it to feel a tight fit like wearing a skinny jeans.

Reduce Pain! Run Further! Avoid Injury!

My runs were getting increasingly more painful. Before going down physio route thought I’d try this simple solution.. Decided on this product and within one run the pain in my knee had gone…. Fantastically comfortable and now as its only one knee I have two for the price of one. I have a confirmed meniscus tear in one knee and can feel the other going the same way. I have been wearing compression tubes to exercise in, but felt the support was needed more for my kneecap. I tried the soft braces with the hole over the kneecap, but these were too restrictive. I stumbled upon these beauties whilst looking for yet another solution, and they made perfect sense. Delivery was speedy and customer service excellent. From the moment I strapped them on I knew they were the answer to my prayers! I wear one on each knee whilst working out or walking (anything more than around the house) and I get zero niggles/discomfort/weakness. I wish I had known about these years ago! These now live in my handbag as I always want them with me. Easy to use and fit perfectly. I couldn’t be happier! This product is fantastic. It arrived on time and from the minute I put it on I felt how well it worked. It is extremely comfortable to wear, you wouldn’t even know it was on. I am 50 this year and although I’ve had a history of serious knee injuries, I am a very active at Judo. This strap gives me so much support is unbelievable. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I am only sorry I never tried it before now.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have to say that I couldn’t see how these could make much of a difference to my knee problem so had quite low expectations when I ordered them. The other types of knee supports I’d tried had been somewhat disappointing.
I’ve hesitated to write a review because I could hardly believe how effective they’ve been in relieving the pain. I have now been able to even have a few outings with little problems either during or after the walks. Considering that I was struggling to even walk around the house these have really amazed me.

I’ve gone on 3 runs since buying these and they’re really helping with my patella tendon pain, knees feel super supported. I’ve never had knee pain before and these are alleviating any fears that I won’t be able to run in the same way again. It’s early days but so far so good!

I have only just started using the knee support, but having over stretched my knee climbing a mountain last Autumn, I wanted to be able to carry on doing exercise and walks while it gradually gets better. This knee support is a lot more comfortable than the elasticated knee sock type thing, which never fit my little short legs. So far it seems promising, it stabilises that slightly loose clicky feeling you get with wear and tear to your knees. Aiming to road test it on some hills very soon!

Daughter ordered these after a knee injury… She’s now back to running as they really help to keep her kneecap in place. Would recommend.

Perfect!ideal when exercising or skiing as they stay in place unlike the usual knee supports used in the past. They used to rouche and fold back on themselves which caused friction on the skin resulting in blistered, sore, broken skin.

Colour me sceptical but my fingers had hovered over the keyboard several times but I’d not been convinced to buy patella straps. Then a colleague who also suffers with arthritis pain in the knee joints recommended them. Can’t recommend these enough. Honestly amazed at how little discomfort I have in my knees now.

I have tried several other knee supports and this one is the most comfortable and allows me to run and exercise without the pain.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIm 28 and suffer from patella tendonitis quite badly. I’ve got to a stage where I cannot even run a few feet unsupported without being in quite some discomfort and simply getting up, kneeling down, walking up stairs etc can cause quite some pain.

These supports however have worked wonders. They simply keep pressure on the patella tendon below the kneecap, enough so that inflammation and pain is reduced during exercise. With them, I’m at least able to take part in weekly 5 aside matches.
They’re not a miracle cure, and I still suffer for a few days after strenuous activity (impact sports, running etc). However, they’ve helped me manage the problem and reduce pain/ inflammation to a point where I can have some sort of quality exercise.
