BODYPROX Patella Tendon Knee Strap (2 Pack)

The BODYPROX Patella Knee Strap is thin yet packs a powerful punch. It delivers just the right amount of support to stabilize the kneecap during physical activity. Worn just below the patella, the strap helps control the effects of muscular vibration during repetitive impact to reduce fatigue and decrease the risk of injury. When muscles are overworked, your risk of injury increases. Working out with the proper support can allow you to perform longer and safer.

Find these knee straps really help with walking on rougher or uneven surfaces and good when turning around like mowing the lawn .

I’ve been wearing a full knee support for ages which made my knee swell and hot but now with these straps the pain is alot less and the knee feels much better, they are definitely so much better at relieving pain and much more comfortable, highly recommended.

I’d been suffering from inflammation of my patellar tendon; I could still walk, but would get very sore on hard surfaces or over long distances. These relief braces really helped; I went out for a long walk at the weekend and experienced no pain or soreness at all. They fit well, aren’t noticeable at all under trousers, and were comfortable to wear for hours —I almost forgot I was wearing it. Highly recommended, at least on my first impression.

Not experienced the pain in my knee on the longer runs since using the strap.

Easy to place, fit and tighten. You can feel straightaway the support they give. I’ve worn them for hours and they don’t restrict blood flow. Just don’t think that you can start dead lifting anvils, car engines and the like.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was skeptical buying this knee support, but thought not much money if it works? Within an hour of putting this support on my knee pain had massively reduced. I have been waking up with pain in the night so last night wore them to bed and no pain in the morning. These are much more comfortable than a full knee support and if anything are better. I can’t recommend enough…

Very pleased with this product plus there’s 2 in a pack. The Velcro strapping is very adjustable and holds the strap in position tightly under the knee. It provides good support and I’m now confident to walk, especially on a downward slope and on stairs, without the worry of a snap or pain. One strap has been (accidentally) through a machine wash without adverse affect.

I have been suffering from what I suspect is patella tendonitis from too many weighted lunges and sharp turns at football. Whilst I continue to do things to aid its repair and strengthen I have used this strap to support my knee and its largely kept me pain free which is great.

I found it was a bit big so had to really wrap the straps which can make it a little awkward behind the knee for comfort but take that over the pain I had in my knee.

    Well worth the money imo

I suffer with EDS so have dislocations, my joints tend to swell after. Due to the condition putting on large bulky knee splints and compression socks is really difficult for my hands. These are AMAZING. Because they’re adjustable I tie them tightly and the pressure is brilliant. Way less hassle and easy to wash. Great for cycling and running also.

My brothers have recommended these and they are the best knee supports any of us have tried – family complaint with knee caps! I’m a size 12 female and have osteoarthritis in my knees which aren’t swollen. I wear them when running. They are ok over my leggings but straps are slightly too long to be perfect, especially if I’m wearing shorts so on bare skin.

I’ve done two 5k runs with these on. Placed on my right upper and lower right knee, over the tendons. I’ve had no pain, at all. It’s early days but they really seem to work.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis product for something so simple, is magic. 8 months ago I tore cartilage behind me knee cap in training after a clash with another player. MRI classified the tear as “moderate”. But yet after physio and the recommended rest period, every time I went back to play the same pain would come back and I’d have to take another 2-3 weeks off each time. Tried the normal knee straps to no avail. Came across this and decided to try it out of desperation to get back playing. I’m now 2ish months into pre-season which involves a lot of strenuous running and I’ve zero pain when wearing this. I even played a 3 short games in a tournament last week and again, zero pain. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

A little disclaimer, my knee still isn’t right and because of the slow recovery nature of cartilage I don’t know will it ever be especially if I continue to play and not rest. This stops the knee cap moving and hitting off the area with the cartilage tear, it doesn’t “heal it”.

I was looking for something to help the pain I was experiencing after training and completing a 10K. NHS 111 said try and find something to support your patella tendon, as the pain was just below my knee. I first tried the sleeves that sit over your whole knee, but the pain didn’t fully go away. These straps have been fantastic. I always stretch before I put them on and stretch afterwards (search for patella tendon stretches), but I have been wearing these for running, spinning and exercise classes and the pain has gone away. Highly recommended.

I have had weak knees for years but was determined to complete the Couch to 5k app – after a few weeks I noticed knee pain and ordered a knee sleeve but found it to be incredibly uncomfortable. So I saw these straps and thought they’d be worth a try – I’ve used them ever since for my runs and can honestly say I have no knee pain during or after the runs! Highly recommend!

Bought these as I have slight arthritis in my lower knee. I only need to use one but strapped just below my knee it certainly reduces the pain. Without it I am not able to use the elliptical walker at all but with this on my knee I have just an ache which is acceptable. Am now up to around 40 minutes per session and hope to increase. Great buy.

I’ve had issues with my knees for years, especially my right one. I’ve used different supports for different exercise as times gone on but found since I’ve upped my running, my knee was not only getting more and more sore, but it was affecting my hip flexors too.
I’ve ran different distances from 5k to a half marathon since having these support straps and I can honestly say my knee has no idea!
I’ve no pain in my left one and no hip flexor issues either.
I haven’t done anything else differently at all so am recommending these straps to any and all runners out there.

This seems to be the comfiest and most helpful knee support that I’ve found. I love how two are included so I didn’t have to buy two. I had a patella injury from running that just kept getting worse and these supports have been most helpful when just walking around (as well as confirmed by my physio to be the best), I haven’t attempted running again yet. The only reason I’ve marked it down one is that after a while it feels like it’s digging into the side of my knee a bit (resulting in feeling bruised) so I’d prefer if they were a little wider to give better support and not dig in.

Got these for my Dad who at 91 is suffering from knee pain and his knees giving way ( especially when standing for a long time cutting his very long hedges) he put them on straight away and said he immediately felt the benefit of the support when going about his day. Less bulky than the brace type ones that strap above and below the knee he can wear them comfortably under his clothing. He is really pleased as he thought they might be too small to make a difference, but is happy to be proved wrong.

  48. JeffreyLoftis says:

     United Kingdom

The knee supports are much better than the sleeve type you pull on. They don’t cut the circulation off or get too hot. I can walk a lot further and as my knees work better when I’m wearing the supports my back doesn’t hurt as much.

I get leg pains when running long distances, above and below the knee on the outside – i believe its the IT band.

This product seemed perfect. I out them on at the start of the a half marathon as a preventative and when the leg started to hurt i tightened them.

Thats when i realised these offer more comfort than compression and i habent quite worked out for me how tight to make them so they offer comoression but are not too tight.

I will continue to use them.

  54. KyleWalling says:

The strap itself is good and sturdy, nothing wrong with it, if you use it on your runs/walks. I got it for a medical condition and I intended to use it as all day support around the house, it slips off from bending the knees often and it slips from the back bit by bit. Had to return but I was thinking to keep them for my walks, but then again I have to get different ones for all day. ( rating based on personal experience from wearing them around the house )

Having been used to a Sciaticure support, I wrongly thought that this support was very similar &certainly cheaper. The double straps looked good on paper but they were clumsy to use & caused lumps under my clothes. I found it difficult to find the correct tightness & had to regularly adjust which was a nuisance.
The straps do work but they are tough to control & keep comfortable.

  57. Rae Bradshaw says:

I have found these straps to be useful as a back-up aid in addition to any other device or medical aid.
They are comfortable to wear under clothing and easy to fit. I have not worn them for long periods i.e. all day, but I could not see this being a problem. Definitely not a miracle cure, but adequate to alleviate less severe symptoms. They need to be fitted tightly to avoid any slipping from the affected area.

Ive had this product a week now after reading alot of reviews it sounded for the price too good to be true, its definitely priced very well as ive used a stretch bandage which was more expensive and pretty useless. The bodyprox is a step up as I pretty much noticed the difference while out walking. Having said that after a few days it started feeling like it was losing its magic, unfortunately theres no real instructions on how tight this should be. Maybe trial and error. I would recommend it without hesitation just dont expect a miracle.

This amazing little strap is so easy to wear, you hardly notice it, but it has really helped my knee so that I can enjoy the dog walks again. It doesn’t look like much but it really does make a difference.
Only improvement would be to have some instructions about how to put it on – there are loads about washing it, but nothing about where to place it or how tight it needs to be.

  64. Anonymous says:

I’ve had numerous knee supports and although they’ve been ok, I was still in constant pain from osteoarthritis and a torn meniscus.
I thought for the price I would give these a go especially as there are 2 of them. 1 to wear 1 to wash. The effect was immediate and I couldn’t believe it.
I wear them all day and take them off at night and for the 1st time in 12 months I’ve been able to sleep without pain and I’m able to curl up in the foetal position.
The key to avoid scratching and irritation is not pull them too tight. I literally just pull the Velcro over and fix. They don’t slide down and stay in place all day.
I would definitely say to anyone who has constant knee pain to give these a go.

I love that there are two in a pack, makes so much sense. Since often we want to strap above and below the knee cap. They work very well, the velcro strap remains strong and in place. They are comfortable. Strap is a little long for my knee but it doesn’t bother me too much.

I found the straps a little abrasive behind the knee. I have over come this by wearing a pair of lightweight pyjama bottoms and securing the straps on the outside, I then put my trousers on to go for my walks. Very good at reducing discomfort….However it is now two trouser items that need washing after every walk…but that is a very small price to pay to be pain free. I would happily recommend these, in fact I have bought my wife a pair, which probably says more than anything else.

Having said that, they are expensive for what they are and probably only cost less than 50p each to produce.

    HOWEVER…would I buy them again…Yes.

I have the awful extra fused honey bumps to show off – great! While the left knee has grown out of the pain and soreness the right still flares up when dancing, or weight training at the gym this also generally aches when sitting with my knee joint bent on chairs or the sofa as it has for year, the right hasn’t grown out of the pain and although it doesn’t restrict me purely because I’m use to working through the pain as years as a gymnast it’s still pretty annoying. Bought these and they’re brilliant! No pain at the gym even when squatting right down with weighted barbells, no pain in spin classes or Tuck jumping on boxes etc very please. My wife and I have always been keen walkers, but a few years ago I was smitten by arthritis in both knees, and I came to dread walking downhill; I found that if I tackled a steep downhill or a substantial downward flight of steps, by the time I reached the bottom I was in agony. My walks in hilly country were ruined! In desperation, I decided to purchase a pair of these little gadgets in the hope that they might make things even slightly less painful. (I must admit to a certain measure of scepticism) Today, I decided to test them on one of my most-avoided hills. A fairly long downhill slope, followed by a flight of about 50 steep steps later, I reached the bottom without a single twinge of discomfort! Only One Word? The word is….MIRACULOUS!! I don’t exagerate when I say that these little devices have changed my life – at least as my beloved walks are concerned. Many, many thanks to the makers!

Sadly the strap hasn’t really helped with my knee issues as it’s more internalNot the fault of the strap!

However, very comfortable, once you have it in place you almost forever it’s there. It provides a lot of support to the patella which did help keep my patella from doing what it shouldn’t be doing.

I would, and have suggested to a lot of my sporting friends who suffer with knee issues try out this support.

It’s also super cool that you get 2 supports so you can rotate them and not wear just one and get it all manky, I just dip it warmish, soapy water and give it a quick scrub and then hang near something warm!

    Many thanks.

I brought these after moving home which had gradients and steps inside and out, and an old hiking injury came back on my patella along with severe pain in both knees. Lots of puffiness and watery squishy stuff and cracking and squeaky squelches that made me feel sick coming from both knees. I brought these after some hours of research and my word they are amazing and have saved my soul!!! Without these I would be in private physio with no monies and a very slow recovery. These have been worth every penny. The Velcro is super strong, but doesn’t cut off circulation, it does stretch after wearing 10 hours a day but nothing major at all. I came to order another pair a few weeks later and found they was no longer available..thankfully today I have noticed after checking frantically everyday that they are now back in stock Anyone who has a knee complaint on or around the cap these are well worth a try. Back in the day I had a full compression huge wacking thing with a hole cut out for my knee cap. These are far more superior. And for those who need to pop on and off quickly these are ace, whip and they off. They also roll down small enough to fit in a small bag or to carry in one hand when not needed (I do this when on flat surfaces]. I had instant results. They are super secure, even in the lastest heat we’ve had they have stayed in place.
You can adjust where you want the support to be. You can wear over leggings or light trousers. For now I’ve been in shorts for the last 6 weeks so can’t comment on any other clothing. Apart from my knees looking like large saggy fat wrinkly 70 year olds whilst I wearing them that’s all I can complain about. The quality is great and they wash really well, drying them is another issue hence why I brought another pair, one to wear one to wash. I don’t know how long these will stop me from pursuing the gp or physiotherapist but for 13.99 I’m so very happy

Nothing really takes away the pain of an injured knee tendon, but this strap helps relieve it and makes walking easier.

It doesn’t make any sense but it works. I ordered it together with knee braces just because was in recommended. For last 2 weeks I was in constant pain even when using knee support, pain killers etc. It was literally at the stage that I wasn’t able to walk or even sleep. When parcel arrived I just put it on without slightest hope that it will work and then magic happens. All pain just disappeared, how it is possible don’t know but so happy now as can walk again pain free.

I started playing crown green bowling recently and within a few days my old knee pain was back. I thought I’d give these a try and I am pleased to say I have no knee pain at all after playing.
    Highly recommend,
If like me you have found the full knee supports uncomfortable and bulky behind the knee, give these a try.

Runners knees! Good support, it looks like it wouldn’t do much, but it really helps!

I can actually walk, run and go up and down steps as well as pick my child up with this strap. It was painful before. The physio said I has tendinopathy of the knee. Glad I found this.

I have almost no cartilage left in my left knee and it can be painful if I even walk on uneven ground. I bought this strap based on the reviews but was skeptical. That didn’t change when I saw it and put it on. It didn’t feel as if it was doing anything at all but I set off on a four mile walk over stoney, uneven fields and had no knee pain during or after! Later that day I wore it while I was pushing a heavy supermarket trolley – that always causes my knee huge problems. Not this time! So don’t be put off by how simple it looks, it works. It works really well. I can also wear it under jeans without it showing and it’s comfortable enough to wear all day. Brilliant product.

I purchased these patella kee supports yesterday, they speedily arrived today….just placed them on my knee, one above the kneecap… one below. I have to report the relief of pain in the kneecap area has been amazing, the pain hasn’t disappeared, but goodness me it’s so much more manageable. Thank you SO much.

Definitely helps, digs in slightly due to the velcro type straps buts that’s to be expected

This support fitted very comfortably and has certainly helped to continue playing golf and tennis whist suffering from a patella strain.

I bought this for my husband who has been using a walking stick for support for a couple of years. He has hip pain which travels to his knee & lower leg. Sometimes his knee gives way without warning. The effect of using this strap has been incredible for him. Now walking unaided, although still a bit slow, it has reduced the pain in his knee, he still has pain in his hip but that is a hip replacement issue.
For his particular mobility problem it is working wonders, so far so good.

I bought these straps for my mum who has arthritis. I didn’t think they would make a big difference, but she was struggling with so much pain in her knees, it was worth a try. They genuinely made a noticeable difference and my mum wears them a lot. I then got ‘jumper’s knee’ and spent weeks with shooting pains in my knee when walking up and down the stairs. So I bought them and have been surprised at how much they have helped. They don’t stop the jabbing pains completely, but the pain and frequency has definitely reduces.

Not sure if these helped or not but my knees haven’t hurt since I had them. Having said that I’ve not used them for the last week or 2 and the knees are holding up!

I was somewhat dubious whether this strap could help support my knee. However I have found that it just gives the right support when I am playing golf, and is comfortable when worn for an extended period. Very pleased with the strap which is well made.
