Can’t rate this shampoo enough. By far the best purple shampoo I’ve used. Recommended by my hair dresser and I won’t be using anything else now. You can see the results immediately before your hair is even dry!

Best ever purple shampoo
This is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. Just after 2 applications it has done wonders to my hair. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

Great for blondes but smells weird
Being a blonde I really needed a purple shampoo and I was told this was the best. It really does get rid of yellow tones and even leaves your hair with a lilac tint if you leave it on longer. However, I only use this shampoo every few washes because it smells really bad and does stain your skin. I have found myself using a nicer smelling shampoo after using it in the same wash just to get rid of the smell.
The smell isn’t a deal-breaker because it is amazing and keeping my hair blonde. I also recommend wearing gloves when applying it, as it will stain your hands.

This shampoo definitely gets rid of any brassiness. I have had so many lovely comments on my hair colour since using this. My hair is like a silver/ grey. Heads up, do not use more than once a week as it does dry your hair out. I use a hair mask to hydrate after use.

Very good delivery really quick. I’ve got highlights on brunette hair so wasn’t sure if it would work for me. It did. I left it on for 5 mins. I could have left mine on for longer as my hair hasn’t been toned for months and was in need of it but I plan on doing another 5 mins next time I was my hair. Did stain fingernails but comes off with soap abs scrubbing. Smells amazing and hair is super soft. Amazing value for money the bottle is huge.
Knocks out the brass
This is a great product to knock brassy tones out of blonde hair. I’m not gonna lie, it can be quite drying so make sure you use a really good conditioner or mask afterwards. The colour lasts up to a week. Brilliant produc

Best purple shampoo I’ve used, it actually works to cancel the yellow and leaves my hair looking lovely! Scent isn’t the nicest but not unpleasant and I don’t mind seeing as it’s so good at it’s job. Massive bottle is fantastic value for money!

Like many women, post lockdown, I have been attempting to embrace my grey. This wonderful shampoo helped me to grow out my blonde highlights without enduring brassy tones.
My highlights grew out several months ago and I have quite a lot of grey but this shampoo gives the grey a gentle, pastel lavender tone that I really like and that many people say looks lovely. Other women often ask me where I had my highlights done and I tell them that it is my natural hair but with help from this shampoo. Without it I thik my hair would be the dreaded “mousey” colour.
The shampoo comes in a huge bottle that lasts for months and is much more economical than buying multiple small bottles of expensive, drying, purple toning shampoo that I used to buy from the local chemist.
It leaves my hair feeling soft and silky and looking far better than it did when I had highlights.
So it’s an enthusiastic “yes!” from me

It really does help with brassy tones, I use it once a week, sometimes less depending on how its looking.
My one complaint, and this may just be my hair, is that its left feeling really crap. It’s really difficult, even with a good conditioner, to detangle after washing it with Fanola, I use the same technique with my other shampoo on the days I dont use fanola (I thought maybe I was rubbing too hard and tangling it myself perhaps but I was careful) and it doesn’t get left all tangled and feeling really dry. Again, it might just be MY hair type, but I put up with it for the great tonight effect it has and continue to use it haha!
Good strong formula
This is the best purple shampoo I’ve had it does what its supposed to and a little really does go a long way. I wouldnt leave it on too long as its really strong and can give your hair a slight purple tint. My only dislike with it is the smell its not very nice.

If you have blond coloured hair gets rid of Brass yellow tones for grey or silver colour hair it Really lightens makes grey hair look lovely it enhances lighter tones so gives a really great contrast and silver coloured hair it really makes it bright and shiny gives either a lovely healthy glow

Don’t be shocked but this shampoo is purple, it may leave your skin around your nails a slight shade of purple, but however I love it dispute of this. You don’t need much to make a good lather and it smells amazing

My hair is dyed silver/grey and this is a great purple shampoo, the best one I’ve tried, it really works, make sure you use gloves while using otherwise your hands will go purple!! And don’t leave it on too long otherwise your hair will go purple too!! But I would definitely recommend.

It is a good shampoo my hair dresser recommended it so happy to try my hair is more of a orange tone than yellow so maybe that’s why it’s not worked as well for me but I will still be using it hopefully over time it will help my hair and it’s a massive bottle waste not want not ! I couldn’t believe how big the bottle was when it arrived. Considering your not supposed to use purple shampoo more than every couple of weeks I can see this lasting over a year. It is very strong unlike the purple shampoo you get in the shops. When I use this one it is literally lathered on and rinsed immediately. No waiting around! Which is what I prefer as waiting 5 mins is annoying especially as your head is upside down. This will also stain easy so rinse the bath and your hands quickly. The actual colour effect if used correctly is a silver/blonde if you attempt to leave it in more than a minute your hair will go purple

Have tried lots of different purple shampoos and this has been the best so far. Took the blonde right out of my hair. Left it feeling strong and soft. I kept running my fingers through my hair. 2 days later and still feeling soft……

This is the only purple shampoo I’ve found that doesn’t make my hair dry. In fact it’s left soft, silky and bright! Everyone always comments on my hair after a wash with this! Brilliant value for money!

Make sure you do NOT use this if you have roots as it works sooo well if you have roots they stand out against the rest which really does go purple. it’s as good if not better then having a toner done at the hair dressers. (My hair is fair and does take very easily to purple shampoo and toners bit it’s by far the best I have used)

Turns yellow hair blonde
This smells funny and doesn’t exactly wash hair like a shampoo it just seems to make yellow hair go a nicer blonde colour. It’s very strong. Be careful as it could make some hair go blue. My finger nails went blue!

My hair was very yellow after bleaching and I have tried a lot of purple shampoos and conditioners but this is by far the best. I put it on slightly damp hair and leave for 3 minutes wash rinse and condition It really has toned my hair right down give it a few washes and you should see a difference. Highly recommend and it’s a great price too the bottle will last me ages. Very Pleased!

I tried this shampoo about a month ago, not really expecting much. I’d seen a mixed bag of reviews but for a massive bottle of purple shampoo, I thought I’d try it and I’ve never received so many compliments on my hair before!
The ashy blonde toner after the hairdressers always washes off after one wash and I feel like i’m back to yellow hair but not anymore!

Beware that if you leave it on for too long, it can tint your hair purple but I actually don’t mind that at all. I like to every few weeks, mix it with a conditioner and leave it on for 15-20 mins for a purple shampoo hair mask! Love love love this product. It works so well with my hair.

Not a fan of the smell but at least the ph level is what it should be for bleached hair. First time toning it, left it for 5 minutes. Only a small difference, it’s not the exact colour/shade I had when I first got it done so maybe i would need to tone it again?

Best silver shampoo
This is by far the best silver shampoo I’ve ever used. It is so potent, my hair always looks refreshed after use. Can be diluted with other shampoos and still leave hair looking refreshed.
Cons: I can’t speak for everyone but it does dry my hair out, I choose to use a repair conditioner afterwards.
It has a weird scent, a bit like when you burn insence.

Fanola is THE best purple shampoo toner ever. I dye and mess around with my hair regularly I go back to blonde regularly too and this stuff is the only one to get rid of the yellow undertones completely. You will see results after the first or second wash! The only problem is it can stain clothing and hands. I suggest washing your hair with this at the beginning of your shower/bath and by the end it will have come off your hands.
It is more than worth the money as the size of the bottle is very big.

Did dry out hair a little but probably because I was using it with every wash. Now only using it once a week and the shampoos effects last through 2 or 3 washes with my normal shampoo.
Growing old gracefully and letting the blonde highlights in my greying hair grow out. The shampoo takes the yellow tone out the highlights so it blends better with the grey.

I wrote a previous review but since using it a couple of times I thought I should write an updated one.
I have my hair professionally coloured so it hasn’t turned my hair purple, it works great and is vegan so amazing! However, do wear gloves as recommended on the bottle.
I have found it quite drying on my hair so need to deep condition after using, it’s not a shampoo I could/would use often. And even when being careful not to agitate when applying, it can cause it to tangle.
It doesn’t smell great but it doesn’t smell bad. The bottle is great value for money as it’s a huge one for 10 and does really work but I would choose a different more gentle one next time.

There,s nothing i dislike aboit this shampoo..it really helps to blend the greys with the strands up top that are showing traces of brown…only thingi would advise is use it intermittently between your normal shampoo and as advised where rubber gloves..purple stained hands otherwise. Really good.

Took the tarnished look out of my hair and gave it a lovely golden glow. Leaves hair in good condition. Bit mess at the start as you have to wear gloves I now wet my hair towel dry to take the excess water out then apply. It such great value for the price but when it nearly finished I will definitely be ordering more.
THE BEST anti-yellow shampoo out there!
This is by far the best anti-yellow shampoo out there. I have tried so many brands with varying success, from salon formulas to cheap off the shelf products and this is head and shoulders above them all.
I have short hair and bleach my hair from dark brown to white, this shampoo eliminates nasty yellow sections and keeps it fresh until I need to do the bleaching again. This bottle will last me years as you need a very small amount! Make sure you use gloves, it most definitely stains your hands a lovely colour too!!

I was recommended this product by my hairdresser as I had brightened the blonde tones in my hair. I was really impressed with the good size of the product for a decent cost that doesn’t break the bank. I use one per fortnight to keep the brassy tones at bay and so far this has been effective. I’ve noticed the product can be quite drying so I have been following applications up with a moisturising hair mask.

See before and after pictures. Just wash hands well after! It’s amazing to keep my colour vibrant. Takes hold on fresher highlights much better than old. So adjust timings to suit. First time I popped in, rubbed for a min washed off. Now I’m leaving a bit longer. It’s great value!

This stuff is amazing!! Since using everyone has commented on my hair & how its held it colour. The smell is quite powerful but worth it for the look & it doesn’t linger on your hair! Some of the lighter parts of my hair do pick up a “greyish” look but I like it. Be mindful if you have sensitive skin – I have eczema & if it gets in a cut it stings a bit but again, just wash it out straight away!! The value for money is great!! Highly recommended!!

Great product. My hairdresser introduced it to me with the strict instruction of WEAR GLOVES. It removes the red tones in dyed hair gradually if used once every 2 washes. Quite gloopy like paint and stains the bath and hands if not rinsed properly. Smells alright, nice to work with.

I’ve tried many purple shampoos and this is the best by far. The processing time is a lot quicker than other brands. It really does tone down the yellow. It lasts well too so you don’t need to use it so often. The only negative to this one is that the shampoo does dye your hands which I haven’t experienced with other brands so would recommend wearing gloves. But, it does come off with a lot of scrubbing.

I swim daily but noticed my hair turning “tobacco yellow”. (Probably due to the chemicals in the pool)
One application of this shampoo has begun to turn my hair back to my usual silver fix colour.
Used it in conjunction with the mask.
Product snells great , leaves my hair shiny.
Amazon did a push ad to purchase the pump applicators to use with the bottles.
Be aware that the 1L shampoo has a different dimension than the pump Amazon recommended..
The Mask bottle does fir the pumps.

Does the job, plus conditioning!
Read the reviews for any hair product and you will often discover that it is simultaneously Awesome and the Worst Thing Ever, conditioning, drying, colours well, doesn’t work at all and everything in between. Conclusion: everyone’s hair appears to be utterly different even if described similarly. So here goes nothing: mine grows out totally white/grey in parts, still almost completely native dark brown in others, has been dyed perma-blue for about a year and was recently decoloured twice and then bleached twice to get it back to somewhere in the region of whatever passes for its natural state these days. It has suffered a bit. Any dark-haired person who has reached for the bleach is probably familiar with the cornucopia of lurid orange and yellow shades I’m enjoying, which stubbornly refuse to lift any further. Unwilling to bleach yet again, I bought this shampoo to tone that lot down so my eyes need not suffer while I wait for my mop’s condition to improve and ponder future colour options. And it definitely does that. Tick. The reason I felt moved to write the review, though, is the totally unexpected conditioned state I encountered on washing the shampoo off, BEFORE conditioning it. I could get a comb through it, no problem. Colour me gobsmacked. Also, substantially silver. Excellent bang for your buck.
Will go ash if your hairs at highest lif
Great purple shampoo, it will help to tone if your hairs is lifted to the lightest blonde tone but want that grey ashy look, I use purple shampoo once a week after I’ve bleached it to the maximum lift to keep the tone of you due it and it’s dark ginger it won’t lift it and turn it silver it can’t lift can only tone ashy if it’s lifted as much as it can my hairs dark brown so my roots go bright yellow when I dye them but I add this on roots and then to ends as ends are ashy anyway from constant purple shampoo and it helps take away a bit of the brass on roots but if it not lifted to maximum I’d recommend another bleach so it’s very light then tone! I can’t stand the bleach blonde yellow look only like ashy look, I use the silver live after my roots which works a treat and then use this to top up in between before needing so roots again! I used the L’Oral one and not much difference but this is a good price for the amou

This shampoo smells amazing! Unfortunately it didn’t get rid of the yellow tones at the top of my hair but all my friends swear by this. It did give me a nice tone through the rest of my hair and I would buy it again purely for that and the smell. My hair does feel very conditioned. Amazing value for money.

Bought this during lockdown when my hair started to have brassy tones and WOWEE it works. I went in the shower with yellowy brassy hair and came out ash blonde. I left it on for approximately 3 minutes or so. I would recommend!! I would say it doesn’t really wash your hair or lather like a normal shampoo, so don’t expect to come out of the shower with silky hair unless you use this with your normal shampoo. But for removing yellow tones – amazing!

After my wonderful hairdresser has “rescued” my hair back to an ash blonde I was concerned about my predisposition towards “yellowing” and she recorded Fanola no yellowing shampoo.
I bought the purple shampoo and at such a great price decided to get the conditioner as well.
This shampoo is really lovely. And has left my hair soft and easy to manage with the additions of fanola conditioner after.
The shampoo itself is a really good purple. I was surprised it didn’t seem as bright as supermarket available ones BUT it is no way near as harsh and didn’t stain my fingers as others do. It also didn’t leave hair feeling thick and Matted whilst in the shower.
I feel I could use this twice a week without the fear of going lilac.
I’m sold. And will definitely buy again as now I’m back to ash blonde I am not going to the dark side agai

Works great on me to remove the yellow on bleached hair. I have to use a good conditioner though because this feels like it leaves my hair a tad brittle (obviously the bleaching in the first place leaves it worse for wear)

I bought this after being told about it by my friend, my hair was gold, needed a toner. This worked really fast. Good colour after just one use. Only thing I didn’t like was the shampoo turned my newly painted nails purple. Apart from that it’s great. I’ve already told a friend.

Great value shampoo, it’s going to last ages! My hair naturally goes more yellow golden after a while but this shampoo helps keep it creamy blonde with every wash.
Not recommended to use everyday as could make your hair feel dry, but definitely good as a top up shampoo

So firstly I’d like to say this is not your average “purple Shampoo”.
It is labelled as a Shampoo, but if you treat it like a once a week toner, then you won’t be surprised by a few details.
I wanted my hair to have that fashionable silver/grey blonde tint thats popular at the minute and i have tried every purple/blue/silver shampoo, even tried the temporary dyes to give me that boost but they wash out within 2 washes. Nothing worked, so this was my last “attempt” and it really does give the effect i was hoping for.
So first of all – the smell, its not exactly pleasant, it does have a slightly chemical smell – but if i want the results im after i was using box dyes that equally smelled as strong.
It DOES dye your hands bright purple – but the instructions on the back do say to use gloves.
Value for money? Well i bought this for 9.99 for 1000mls. Considering i have easily wasted countless money on smaller similar products (average 3.99 for approx 250ml) i would say this is definitely value for money.
First Purple shampoo that has worked!
I use this once a week, just to knock out some of the brassy tones from my highlighted hair.
Works great at restoring the lighter parts of my hair to an ashy tone.
Would highly reccomend!
It does make a mess in the shower, but rinses off tiles very easily with just water.

Works on brown hair too
Although this says no yellow I have brown hair that has an orange colour that I didn’t like and after seeing the reviews and with great price I bought it. 1st wash and my hair didn’t feel great whilst washing it out after 5 mins so added more conditioner than usual and the results are great. Knocked lots of the red/orange colour out after 1st wash. Even had people comment on it saying had I dyed my hair.

I purchased this for my daughter who wanted grey tints in her hair. You only use it once a week and it does exactly what it is meant to do. My daughter’s hair is greyer than mine and looks great!
This stuff works
So good. Been using for a couple of months, bottle has lasted me so long, bought in October 2020 and now its march 2021 and its about half way now. If you leave it so long it goes very grey, so if that’s not your desired look, don’t leave so long. it may go purple. 100% takes out the brass (I’m at a ice blonde) and every so often i need a pick me up for the brass, so it helps so much. Overall, nice scent in my opinion, a little strong but if you put it before conditioner it goes. Great buy.
Best Purple Shampoo Out There
Whenever someone asks about purple shampoo, I always recommend Fanola. There is no other purple shampoo that I know that is as strong and the smell is lovely. Bubblegum-like. The strength is amazing but be warned that is is super strong. I have left it on my hair too long and turned it purple once before. I would always recommend.
