    Do not buy!!!!!
Battery does not fit properly. Keeps stopping mid flow. Swapped the battery I have with other devices and works fine. These are obviously crappy seconds from factory. Not cheap either. Stay well clear!!

does what its says on the box, and should last for a very long time. Trial and error for all impact drivers – Messed up a few screwheads, have leaned the hard way to use a perfect fit bit with good quality screws. Quite amazing the way screws are in or out in a flash.

This is my first Impact Driver ….. just a pity I only discovered how good it is, having just built myself a new workbench with in excess of 130 screws only a couple of weeks before seeing one in use. No more swapping drill bits to screwdriver bits in my Makita drill and back again. No serious DIYer should be without one.

Already have Makita battery hand tools so a bare bones unit purchase made sense. Excellent quality unit as you’d expect of Makita. The only negative that I have is that the torque setting isn’t variable, otherwise excellent.

    Quality quality quality!
I’ve been told by almost every tradesmen I’ve spoken to that Makita is brand you can trust and depend on.

Not always the cheapest product on the market but generally has the best all round reviews and performance which is one of the reasons why I purchased this compact driver over others.

It’s a body only purchase, I already had a Makita battery which are expensive and can be almost the same amount as the body cost.

With the battery it has a bit of weight to it but I wouldn’t consider it a heavy tool to hold. It feels comfortable in your hand and is easy to use. It’s has made a number of projects I’ve been working on so much easier.

You won’t be disappointed with purchasing this impact driver, I can’t believe I didn’t get one sooner.

I love Makita power tools and when my brother in law put me onto impact drivers for stud wall construction and decking etc. I had to buy one (Makita of course). Got this with 10 off when using the Amazon mobile phone app. Great bit of kit and much more efficient than using normal drill/drivers and small form means you can get into tighter spaces. Overall worth buying especially if you already have the batteries

Stud walls, door frames, furniture, sheds, decking, chipboard flooring, plasterboard ceilings, reclaimed pallet projects.. As a handyman I’m using this most days for long periods on all sorts of builds, retrofit and repairs, best power tool I’ve bought for a long time.
More power than you’ll ever need, great on battery life, effortlessly drives even the worst old screws into anything, lovely to handle, compact and easy to use.
What the hell did we do before impact drivers??
Incredible bit of kit for the price. I’m using 3.0ah batteries and got myself some decent pozi2 torsion bits to go with it.

This impact driver is a perfect partner for a larger makita cordless combo drill that I have. It’s smaller size and lighter weight make it easy to use. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPretty darned good.
I guess you know that this comes without a battery. And it needs a battery to run. I bought it because I already had a Makita drill and the battery/charger is interchangeable.

As for performance, it really is very good. Makita are a pretty well known name and they make good quality stuff and this is no exception. I’ve used it for a few relatively small projects and at no time was it out of it’s depth. It drives screws in pretty quickly. The trigger pressure alters the speed, a nice touch of course. The battery (assuming you get or have one, because without one, it’s an ornament), of even the smallest capacity goes for a good time and is quickly recharged (cup of coffee and you’re ready to go again). You can get a similar drill from Makita for a few quid more which has a brushless motor, the advantage of which is that it’ll last longer. Perhaps something to consider if you use an impact driver a lot. But this one, to add to your DIY tool kit is ideal. Punches above it’s weight and I bet will outlast many users. In fact, it isn’t too out of it’s depth in a professional’s tool box I’d say.

One other thing. Makita batteries aren’t cheap. But they are good. You can get ones made by others and there are varying reports on their effectiveness. At best, they seem to be okay but don’t last as long between charges. At worst, as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I’d stick with the genuine ones.

    Another Makita worth its weigh
Like any Makita tool, this product is a delight.

The unit itself is very lightweight and has been very useful for driving in flooring screws. Such an upgrade over using a multidrill for this function.

With a socket adapter set it will remove wheel nuts, but doesn’t have the torque for much more (not a criticism as this isn’t its primary purpose).

I purchased this from the Amazon warehouse as a returned item in good condition. Obviously it was cheaper then the list price. But this is far from good condition. I am returning it to Amazon but just want to remind people to be careful when buying warehouse goods, I’m sure someone has returned there old one in swap of a new one and winged it.

    Amazing tool so powerful
I just had to write this review it’s the best thing I’ve bought for years I am currently building a new fence and extending the posts and until now I’ve managed with my trusty makita combi drill but it struggled with big 8mm coach screws not this tool straight in no pilot hole no messing about even if it hits a knot in the Wood still drives them in! I also now can use concrete screws straight in the power this tool has is unbelievable especially when you’ve been used to a combi I love the compactness and it’s so so light I love it made in Belgium too which I was happier with but I can’t recommend it enough and the price is unbeatable and I ordered it 3 o’clock and it was with me by 11 the next day awesome

    It’s the business!
I purchased this after wondering over several years whether it may be a necessary part of the tool box. I was constructing a wooden framed outhouse which involved many many screws and decided to take the plunge with this impact driver. To be fair I own other Matika tools so I had two batteries and a charger so this naked driver was not a difficult decision to take. Make sure you get impact driver bits as they do, as you would imagine, take a hammering. It definitely makes construction easier!

    Sterling customer service
Had a problem with the drill bit getting stuck in the sleeve through no fault of the product. Returned it for inspection and they were good enough to promptly replace it. Please note: make sure the drill bits you use are IMPACT READY

I’ve always worked with a drill driver thinking there wouldn’t be much of a benefit in having a dedicated impact driver. How wrong I was, since using this I have saved so much time and effort. It’s a much quicker way of driver screws and also has the added benefit of the extra torque. The value is amazing too, as it’s Makita and cost me a little over 50. You don’t get the battery with this but I already have some of them. Using a 5 ah battery, it lasted me over 3 separate projects, I must have driven over 500 screws on the one charge and it still had power!
If you’re considering an impact driver I would 100% recommend buying one. If you’re already on the Makita platform then this a no brainer. Great product, great value.

Fast, reliable, no frills well made product.
I would always recommend any Makita power tool and ordered a few things from these guys with no frills exactly what I wanted and the bonus of quick deliveries.
