A dash cam thats money worth spe
After about a months use I’m very happy to say I love this dashcam.. It was extremely easy to install via cigarette light power source. I received tips from the many YouTube videos. Appropriately a half an hour to install. I installed the front cam on a old radar detector mounting bracket attached to mirror, due to the fact I use a front window sun screen. Wires were no problem tucking behind head linner and door panels. Setting up cam features was equally easy very user friendly. Resolution of this unit front and back are incredibly sharp and vivid.
I would highly recommend to all to get this dashcam. More bang for less bucks.

Because it was my first time having a dash cam, I did quite a bit of research and reading. This dash cam seemed to have all the features I needed and then some. The reviews were also positives. I received it and it was extremely easy to install. The features are just as advertised. The packaging look luxurious, the product itself very well made and designed. The setup was so easy as the default selection were what I would had selected, I only had to change my time zone, all the other setup options were already maximized and matching my preferences. I am extremely satisfied with the product and will highly recommend it.
After placing the order for this dash cam, I contacted the manufacturer/seller with a few questions and accessories. They replied very quickly. Their English is actually very good. They bent over backwards to provide me with the highest level of customer support and made sure I was satisfied. This was by far the best customer support I have experienced from any of my numerous online purchases.

Failed after 6 months. Reboots contstantly. Tried resets and other power supplies.
Barely used this dashcam. Had it for 7 months then just started rebooting continuously. Tried factory reset and 2 other power supplies but same issue. Since the warranty is only 6 months, I am out the $135. Wont go back to this brand.
Edit – They sent a new one and it has been working well for the past month. At least they stand behind their product. Updated rating.
Camera is fine but should provide a USB cable
The camera is fine. However, it comes with a cable hard wired on a 12v socket power converter. My car’s socket is always on, which will drain the battery after the car is turned off. Therefore, I need a USB cable. I contacted their customer service. There were quick to respond and said they will ship a cable to me. Unfortunately, they misunderstood my request and sent me another 12v socket converter… They later explained that they do not have USB cables. I need to find one by myself.
Please separate the power converter from the cable. There are plenty of 12v converters that give a USB output.

Before I get to the product info, let me first say that the Customer Service was truly amazing. So I had an issue where the rear camera wasn’t displaying. I sent an email to the address in the User Manual and they replied very promptly and sent out a new rear camera. They followed up with me every few days to see if it worked and I was satisfied.
I then figured out that it wasn’t the rear camera at fault, but the jack where it plugs into the main unit. So they swiftly sent a new main unit and, again, followed up to ensure everything worked.
Everything works perfectly now. I put a 1 TB card in there since it can record both front and rear views simultaneously at high resolution. Customer Service was 5-star!!! Didn’t cost me a penny to get the replacement or to return the defective unit.
I highly recommend this seller and this product. Cheers!

I was not expecting it to be THIS good
I guess buying cheap garbage on Amazon for so many years has made me jaded and cynical, and therefore I wasn’t expecting a whole lot with this product. I was truly shocked. The picture quality is FANTASTIC. I got this camera because I drive in a city where traffic laws all but go out the window and 7am to 8pm is anarchy.
The camera quality is fantastic. You can very easily see license plates at daytime and still pretty good at night (the night vision is great too). Using their special video player, you can also see the exact location of your vehicle as it drives, and the speedometer is pretty accurate too. They sent the hardwire kit to me for free and it works exactly as expected.
Tl;dr: if you’re looking for a dash cam to save you from insurance fraud and other sticky situations on the road, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO.
I do like all the features of this dash camera. It works very well and as described. However, there is a problem that I am in discussion with Red Tiger about and that is that the memory card gets very hot to the touch. More so than it should during normal use. I received a replacement card from them at no charge but the new one does the same overheating. I am sure they will look into a fix for this.
UPDATE:
They sent me another card to test that it was not just the card. That card overheated as well. I informed them and they are sending a replacement camera.

The day-time picture quality is good. You can read license plates that are no more than 10 feet away from the front camera or the rear camera. Like all the other dashcams the night-time recording is not clear enough to capture license plates, but you can see other vehicles, etc.
The parking mode required the use of the hard-wire kit. Installing the kit according to directions was simple enough.
When I first tried to setup the parking mode I only got an error that the acc/down kit was required. I contacted support. Powering down the dashcam while in the parking screen, removing the microSD card, erasing the card, powering on the dashcam with no microSD card, powering down, installing the microSD card, powering back on. The dash cam now records in parking mode correctly.
The parking mode (48-hour setting) on my 256GB card only used 20GB over a 12 hour period. It does not record at the full fps, but it captures the relevant details you would need.
Contacting support via e-mail they were good as responding within 24 hours.
I like that it comes with a GPS and can be removed (partially) from the windshield to make cleaning easier.

Most important to mention is that I am very impressed with their customer support. They not only responded very quickly, but went above and beyond with helping me out with my questions and camera issues that I had at the beginning. I definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a DashCam for your vehicles. The installation was smooth and very easy to do. The quality of the videos are perfect for the use and the size of the dash cam was great to fit under my rearview mirror. I only had 2 issues and one was fixed soon after by receiving a new rear cam. One version of the Dashcam comes with a rear camera that has a limited angle of viewing. They sell an alternate rear cam that has more angle flexibility and solved this problem. The other concern I had was to add a future encryption capability and/or PW ability to the SD card and camera in case of theft. I plan on ordering another dash cam soon.

Dashcam:
The camera was super easy to setup and format the SD card. Installation was easy as well. The view captures the entire front on the car. The screen saver is nice as to not distract from driving. It does record in 1/3/5 minute increments but from my understanding it is to help overwite old data that is not locked so it is always recording. Never miss any new recording. It also informs the user to reformat every so often which makes sense to help with keep the card from filling up constantly.
Back camera:
I have yet to set this up and will return to update my review once I become more familiar with the product.
App:
Work in progress. Was easy to understand how to connect the cam to the app just have not played around inside the app too much as of yet. Will return to update review when I am more familiar with the app.
Customer Service:
Customer Service has been a big help with the questions I have sent them and have responded within a timely manner. They are really understanding of their customer’s needs and will help you in any way that they are capable of.
I am still new to this product as in the time I have had this camera. I love the functions and easy of using this product.

After I was initially sent an used dash cam, I was able to get a new sealed one and I have say admit to be impressed by the quality of this cam given its cost! It does take a little getting used to (make yourself a favor and do read the manual) but once you get it going it’s an excellent value for the purchase.

I think this dash cam has excellent value for a 4k res camera. However, I was sent an used item so I have to return it before I can test it.

Wanted to wait until i owned this for a few months before i reviewed this.
I am not a professional reviewer so will not go on and on. that being said.
the Good: not bad to set up and plenty of wire to get the job done. checked the recordings and very nice, high quality so just what i was hoping for. I ran into a problem and the CS was very good and response was quick.
the Bad: 1- they outsourced the connection to the cell phone (instead of their own software) that I was never, never able to get to work no matter what i did incl CS help on line Youtube and this included using several cell phones. would just not work. not happy, but not a deal breaker as to me this was just extra. still would have been nice. 2- the rear camera only comes up on the screen and is recording about 50% of the time. CS told me to just unplug and plug back in the rear camera connector. Does not work. i had to move the rear camera and when touched it then it worked again immediately so there is probably a loose connector in the rear camera and it is hard wired so no adjustment. i start the car drive down the road and about 1/2 the time it is working. Working, not working, working, not working. off and on all the time. can’t do anything about it. was going to buy this as a gift for a friend of mine as i really liked it when i 1st got it. not now.
Not 1 problem, but 2 problems so would not buy again. CS tried to help, but after their help still can’t get the cell phone to connect and rear camera still working only 1/2 the time no rhyme or reason. Will keep for a little while then will replace with diff mfg. can’t take a chance. sorry to go on, but very frustrated as I bought this to replace another brand (Aukey 4K dash cam with 6 lane wide angle lens with SanDisk High Endurance Video 64K card) and was in an accident and Police viewed the memory card and was black and said “file corrupt”. recorded all the videos before the accident perfect and clear. PISSED! Really PISSED! tossed it the wires and memory card all out and bought this. i NEED This to WORK and do its job. Like a fire extinguisher. Period.
UPDATE: i have been contacted by their customer support and there was a problem with the connection to the rear camera. they sent out a replacement and refund. camera works and just could not get the wireless part to work, but have changed it from a 2 star to a 4 star as it works and very good customer service. contacted me and follow up with emails until it was straightened out. I’ve wanted a dashcam for my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country for the longest time. I did a ton of research before buying and delayed purchasing for quite some time. While I’m sure some of the competitor models are good, I finally decided on the REDTIGER 4K front/rear dashcam. I liked this one for the features and the great feedback I saw. REDTIGER dashcam shows very clear images, has Bluetooth and GPS capability, and a parking mode if hardwired (I didn’t do that part yet, but I’m about to). Installation is on the right side of the rear view mirror and that actually is good since you don’t want to be gawking at the camera and not at the road. I just connected it to my iPhone today using the UCAM app and it worked flawlessly. Great field of view, clarity, and smoothness. If I wanted to take a photo or save the video, it was just a press of a button on the phone. I was very impressed.
Installation was ridiculously simple and that part startled me because I am not usually adept at this type of thing. Except for the 2-3 inches of wires by camera, the wiring is totally invisible. I do recommend going on YouTube and watching how to install the rear camera on a hatchback to get the wiring in the correct location.
Customer service was exceptional!! I had purchased the dashcam for $149.99 along with a hardwire kit to use the cam in parking mode that was paired with the cam for another $18.99. The dash cam comes with a 32GB mini-card, but I upgraded to a 256GB mini-card. Well, the paired hardwiring kit had the wrong plug so it had to go back. While looking on Amazon, I saw a new deal for the exact same REDTIGER 4K dashcam for $118.99. I asked Amazon for a credit, but they said I had to return the unit and reorder. So I reordered the dashcam, but I decided to wait on the wiring. The new unit came in the next day, but it did not have the 32GB mini card. I received an email from Ms. Shelly, REDTIGER representative, who was concerned that I had a poor experience. I explained that wasn’t true; I simply couldn’t get a credit from Amazon. I told her the hardwiring kit wasn’t correct and the mini-card was missing on the new unit. Ms. Shelly from REDTIGER immediately apologized profusely and said the company would make it right. She was professional, patient, and knowledgeable – very customer service-friendly. I asked about an extention cable to the rear of the van and the cost because I wasn’t sure the supplied rear camera cable would be long enough (I hadn’t installed it yet). But REDTIGER company promptly sent me one free of charge! As it turns out, the original cable was just long enough, but if I decide to reconfigure the cable location, this extension will come in handy. Oh, and they also gave me a new hardwiring kit free, AND gave me a credit for the missing 32GB mini-card, even though I said it was ok because I had purchased the 256GB card. I offered to pay for the wires up front, but they wouldn’t hear of it. The point is that REDTIGER, through Ms. Shelly, provided OUTSTANDING and PROMPT customer service. They didn’t have to reach out, but they did. They didn’t have to be concerned, but they were. They didn’t have to provide the accessories for free, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. They went out of their way to make it right, and they weren’t even the ones at fault!! And Shelly is simply the BEST!! She demonstrated the company really cares.
I cannot speak to the folks who didn’t enjoy this dashcam, and here’s hoping it works for a long time (it’s not even close to hot outside yet). But I am absolutely thrilled with both the cam and the company. I highly recommend this brand and trust me, it usually takes a lot for this old Air Force retiree to recommend anything – this was my experience. Sure glad I bought this REDTIGER dash cam.
ADDENDUM: After about 6 weeks, I did experience an issue with the camera not synching with my new phone. I contacted REDTIGER and Ms. Shelly was genuinely concerned and immediately sent me a new unit. This new dash cam works perfectly and I am grateful for the absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service AFTER the sale. This is the customer service one would expect from all sellers, but we all know that doesn’t always happen. I mean, how many times have you read where customers got stiffed because it was after the return window? I can testify that mine was after the return window, too – But REDTIGER stands by their product and made it right without any hassles. They just took care of the problem. My new unit arrived exactly 24 hours after the conversation with Shelly. I stand by my earlier comments that I am so glad I bought the REDTIGER dash cam. This one is working just fine.
It’s a decent camera with a few annoying features. I want the screen to stay on all the time and it has a max of 2 minutes. I also would like to turn off the annoying boot music, but can’t. Also, the sticky tape provided for the rear camera is useless. It wouldn’t stick to anything. Had to go and buy quality 3M tape that worked perfectly. Lastly, the camera app and how it integrates are clunky. It should be an easy thing to do and instead, you have to go into the menu and turn on Wifi each time to connect. I wish this was more polished for the price. The Pamlico that I bought 5 years ago was very well executed on all fronts. Probably should have bought from them again.
UPDATE: Had some issues with the unit and support was OUTSTANDING. Seriously, I didn’t know support this good still existed these days. They genuinely want you to have a good experience and go over and above to resolve your issues. I am thoroughly impressed, which is hard to do. Definitely would buy their products again.

This product by far is great dashcam I ever that I added into my new Subaru Ascent SUV. So far the video are very impressive and the images were very clear day and night. The customer service was outstanding and very helpful. They are very accommodating and fast to response. I will be using this dashcam all the time and I know this will help me protect my safety on the road and even when my car is park. I really like this dash camera with a few exceptions. The Dash Cam is very easy to setup and use. I installed the "Hardware kit" so I could use the Park feature (this installation took me most of a day since it was my first time doing one). One thing that I believe could be improved it the frame rate when using 4k on the front camera. UPDATE: After posting this review the company promptly reached out to me and were very cooperative and helpful. They quickly fixed this issue and even went beyond that. This was definitely the BEST experience I’ve ever had with customer service due to: how fast everything was handled, how nice the representative was that handled our case, and the company taking the initiative to reach out to me to fix it. Additionally the company asked for suggestions to improve their products and genuinely want to use our feedback to improve their products and experiences for their customers. I cannot speak highly enough about this company and I will DEFINITELY be prioritizing them when making similar purchases in the future.
As for the product, everything has worked perfectly for me. The quality of the video is good, plenty of options to customize how you want your video to be recorded, and the wires and cameras were easy to install with the kit they provided!
Installed this dash cam between two evenings, maybe took two and a half hours between taking my time to properly route and hide the wiring kit wires and the rear camera wire along my trim.
Managed to get this cam on a flash sale for $169.99 CAD. Picked up the proper F7N wiring kit for $25, whereas it was previously $50 (rip off in my opinion, watch for the $25 sale). Some people complain that the camera/sensors aren’t overly high quality; for a regular A to B driver, I’d say it’s more than fine, unless you intend on buying a “name-brand” $300-600 dash cam. Yes you can’t have true 4k or 4k front camera recording when you hook up the rear camera too, but the 2k or 1440p with rear 1080p is pretty good as it sits. The sample single 4k video I took looked plenty good anyways, although I’ll be sticking with the dual 2k w/ 1080p rear setup. Mounted the rear camera inside my hatch looking out the back to avoid dirty lenses (just gotta worry about the rear window cleanliness, for me good as I have a rear window wiper on the car).
My previous and first dash cam, the Vantrue N1 Pro, ended up dying after 3 years of use and was too difficult to use. The F7N seems to be fairly easy to use after remembering most of the button presses after a few days of use. The larger screen makes it fairly easy to see the info as well. My only complaint so far is that if you want to turn off the screen while it’s recording so your not distracted, is the 2 1/2 second held button press of the power button, whereas 3 seconds holding it shuts the cam off – lots of times accidentally turning off the cam in annoyance. Would have been nice if full cam shut down was programmed to be say 5 seconds button held.
The manual it comes with is fairly extensive, although it would have been 100% worth RedTigers money if they had haired a fluent English translator to help write the manual, as it is all over the place most of the time. You’ll need to abbreviate and take a bit into your own common sense, as the info is all there, you just need to comprehend some of it within reason.
Lots of people complaining about the quality of the WIFI app and WIFI connection. As a tech savvy individual, I’ll add some notes:
+ In order for me to properly connect and download files from the cam to my phone, I have to: Enable WIFI on the cam, DISABLE my phone’s mobile data connection, enable my phone’s wifi & connect to the cam’s specific wifi signal (it displays the wifi name and password on dash cam upon turning wifi on). If you have a phone that can connect to multiple connections at once, make sure to disable your mobile data and any other wifi signals, or else it will confuse the cam’s wifi connection.
+ The cam basically cannot handle watching the file by means of streaming from the cam to your phone – it has it as an option, although the hardware chipset within the cam cannot handle it smoothly, thusly there are plenty of video reviewers saying it is “bad quality” viewing that method. When you want to save a video or photo to your phone, you have to do the WIFI connection setup routine to your phone, and the app, “UCAM” offers you to download the file over it’s wifi to your phone – a 3 min loop recording 2k video clocked in at 333mb’s, and took about 5 mintues for my phone to transfer it – a fairly common transfer speed, could be better, but isn’t terrible either – just be a littttleee bit patient and you’ll be fine. By actually downloading the file, the file will then play smoothly on your phone (providing you have a newer-ish phone that can handle 1080p/2k/4k video playback smoothly too, that is). If not, you’ll have to pull the mem card and put it into your computer, again assuming your computer is new enough to handle that playback smoothly too.
The app definitely comes off as maybe needing a feature or two, and feels like it’s been roughly ported to an english market, but still does the job just fine. One of my immediate disagreements is if you opt to use the coordinates system for recording, the coordinates map is thru a Chinese mapping service – would be nice to use one of your choosing..
So far so good, will update this review if I have an issue in the future with the F7N. 4 Stars because the retaier shipped the cam in a regular plastic shipping bag, with no protection for this fragile electronic other than the product box it came in (still has some foam inside, but maybe not enough). Would have been nice to see it in a small box with packing peanuts or air bags or something…

Was a nice install and easy to set up. This replaced an older camera that finally just needed to go. I like the fact that it's powered on when my Diesel Truck is powered on and there is nothing I need to monitor. The two cameras are great. Haven't had any reason to pull video from it yet, but I am confident it will be there if and when I do.

There are a handful of videos on the internet showing the quality of the video recorded by this dash cam, so there is no need for me to elaborate here. It is excellent!! I was interested in testing how the camera would handle glare on the windshield while driving into the sun. This has been an issue with other dash cams I've used in the past. I found an area to park facing the sun with some signage (see photo) and this cam compensated very nicely. The GPS is fast to acquire a lock, the quality of the audio recording is super, and I like the use of a USB plug for connecting the power. I have other cams that use a pin-type connector for power and found them to be very unreliable and prone to failure and/or falling out of the camera during off-road use. Speaking of the USB power cable provided with the camera...it's a dandy! It comes with both a 90-degree USB plug on one end and a 90-degree car power plug on the other with enough cable length to reach the back seat in a small SUV! OK and here is some really great news. The device is furnished with a mount that's semi-permanently attached to the windshield. However, Redtiger has recently developed a suction mount for this camera that is also a dandy. I had the opportunity to test this mount, in conjunction with the camera, mounted behind the rear-view mirror of a compact car. Yes, the combined mount/camera package is actually small enough to fit between the windshield and the back of the mirror! I'm just now getting familiar with the companion app that's installed on my iPhone, so I have only a couple of comments there. The app was easy to install, easy to figure out what buttons did what and was helpful in adjusting the camera view whenever access to the screen on the camera was obscured (either by glare from the sunlight or by the rearview mirror). One final note: I have contacted the folks at Redtiger several times and found them to be both very helpful and extremely fast to respond. The setup is not clear, but once you fiddle with it and become familiar, it’s pretty easy to use. The picture quality is superb, was not expecting that to be honest. I did not install it, above my skill set. Took it to Best Buy and they had it installed in less than 40 minutes. Just make sure you choose one that knows what they’re doing. The first one I went to had no clue.
I did not get the rear camera installed because I have a Jeep and it was going to be tricky. I may take it back once I figure out what type of top to put on. The issue is that once you install it, removing the top won’t be practical.

The only reason to touch it is to lock a certain recording, (super easy and quick) or to take the micro SD out to transfer any recordings I want to keep. I have a 400GB and a 128GB, both work perfectly. If I need to transfer anything I just take one out and put the other in.
I purchased the wiring harness with it and that takes it to a higher level of satisfaction. I looked and researched for a good length of time before deciding on this unit. I like the fact that the camera is somewhat small; but visible to read; and it has a Sony Camera.

The manual is easy to read and things are very well explained within the manual; there are also lots of positive reviews on this camera on YouTube. It’s averaged priced; not too high, not too low. Even though the screen is small it’s very visible; check the Resolution options within the manual. Note though there is an app that is very easy to download and you can connect everything to your iPhone if your phone has a valid revision. Built in GPS is a great feature; that was a bonus.
Generally speaking for the money it’s a great option; to me for residential Dash Cams you don’t need to spent $500-$600.00 dollars; this one does the complete job.
I purchased two other dash cams off of Amazon and had to send them back. They were terrible. I then came across the REDTIGER and read the review. I was impressed with the reviews but said I would give it a shot myself. The camera is great. Screen a lil’ small but that o.k. The play back on the front camera is Da Bomb. The rear is great as well but it only does 1080p. I bout the addition hardware kit and the OBD2 power adapter. Be warned the OBD2 power adapter does not let me put my fuse cover back on because it extend about a 1/2 inch out from the panel not allowing you to put the cover back on. One more thins is the rear camera. You can tighten the front camera down from moving. It has a knob to tighten. The rear camera does not. But I solved that problem as well. Over all I liked the REDTIGER F7N I got one for both my vehicles. And in Florida you need them.

Great dashcam for the price, after using a cheaper one for a few years, I finally decided to upgrade. And man, the difference is incredible. It's a great ease of mind and useful tool if you ever need it. Would definitely recommend getting one sooner rather than later.

The Redtiger dash cam is small with a nice viewscreen. Functions are easy to access. There are quite a lot of options, and it first it seems a bit much, but quickly become easier once you understand each function. First I tested it with just the front camera, works well, excellent image. I downloaded the wifi app to my phone but had little success. I was able to connect to the camera wifi, but the app would only occasionally let me access the dash cam. When it did, I could access all the functions, same as the buttons on the unit, but playing videos was impossible. If you’ve used the cam awhile, there will be hundreds of videos, it’s near impossible to find the one you want, even with date/time encoded in the file name. Once you find it, it won’t play because the wifi connection is not fast enough. I assume it’s the wifi chip in the camera, because my phone easily connects to my home wifi at 100mb/sec. But, it’s all moot because it’s really difficult to get the app to reliably communicate with the camera in the first place. This is really my only big gripe. In any case, it’s easy to take the micro SD card out and play it on my laptop and show it to the nice policeman. See, officer? I was only going 10 over!! (BTW, the GPS gives speed and location nicely) The cables could be a little longer!! I have an F150, and the front cam cable with the power just barely made it to the cigarette lighter outlet. I mounted the back camera on the inside of the rear window of my truck. Again, the cable length barely made it!! The back camera has a swiveling mounting plate, but in my opinion it’s useless!! It doesn’t swivel to any angle that would let you mount it and have the camera pointing in a useful direction!!! I had to 3D print a bracket (see the images). It must seem I have a lot of complaints about this dash cam, but I’ve had two models previously that just had a ton of issues. So far I’m happy with it, just don’t expect anything with the wifi and you’ll be pleased!!

Red tiger dash cam interim review
There were some minor problems, but Red tiger support was very good. The rear camera was short by about 20-30 cm as I have a Toyota Estima 8 seater car. Red tiger are sending me a 3m extension cable.
I have yet to take a drive at night which I shall do as soon as I get get the rear camera cabled up.
I will then write a final review.
So far, I am pleased with the product.

I have been using this for about 3 months. I use both the forward and rear facing cameras. Picture quality is excellent on front camera, very good on rear (the rear is not same resolution, but they are up front about this). The camera is responsive, was easy to install, including running wires through vehicle so they are not seen. I did have to change how I plug in the power cord, as it was a bit too short to run to my center console, I had to change my plan to run it to the power outlet in front of the car.
The app works very well. Much better than a less expensive camera I used to have.

We bought this camera for our new car and had it installed by VW. Its a great picture front and rear and so easy to use and set up. Works well with a 4G 250GB memory card.

As one other review pointed out, when the resolution is set to 2160P (front camera) + 1080P (rear camera), the two cameras both film at 24 frames per second (fps). And when the resolution is set to 1440P+1080P, the two cameras both film at 30 fps.
I did have one issue where when I changed the resolution to 1440P+1080P, the next time I turned the camera off and back on, the resolution setting changed back to 2160P+1080P automatically. All my other settings, e.g. time zone, etc, stayed on the values I set, but resolution kept defaulting back to 2160P+1080P.
I contacted Redtiger support, and their team was very responsive and helpful. They spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue with me. After none of the initial troubleshooting steps fixed the issue, I asked if maybe the firmware had a glitch in it, causing this issue. They investigated further on their side, and within a few days they provided an updated firmware which fixed the issue. Now if I set the resolution to 1440P+1080P, it saves that setting, along with all my other settings.
I’ve had the dash cam only for a few weeks, but I appreciate how responsive their support team has been. I’ll update this review if any further issues come up, but so far I’m quite happy with it!

Dissapointed that you have to buy the cable separately to allow the park feature to work. We bought these cameras as they had the feature. The link to mobile devices is annoying and we still haven’t been able to work out how to see playback footage. Good quality camera, great image but would look at other options if buying again.

This camera is really great. I love how it is small enough that it doesn’t take up too much space on my windshield. I ordered the parking kit and it works flawlessly. Just make sure that in addition to having the unit in “Parking Mode” you also set the “G-Sensitivity”, otherwise it will just power down as normal and not work in Parking mode. This is an excellent camera. I am very happy with it performance, ease of use, and features.

All that including a gps tracker and your speed displayed below. Best of all, the seller has the best customer service as they offered me a free hardwire kit for the camera which is usually an extra $20 that I got for free. All you need is to buy the correct micro SD card that’s labeled in the description of the item and you are all set! 🙂
Originally I had an issue with the rear camera frequently disconnecting so I contacted the Redtiger customer service and they sent me a replacement right away which arrived in just 2 days. The new rear camera works well so far and I’m very pleased with their excellent customer service.
Also, I had some problems at first with the camera restarting on boot but that turned out to be an issue with my microSD card, which I discovered on h2testw. I bought a new Samsung class 10, UHS-I, U3 micro-SD card and haven’t had problems since then.

This was in a 2013 chevy Volt. I didn’t set date and time in the camera, but used the power chord that was provided. I’m not sure how date and time were set correctly for the video.
After shutting off the Volt and getting out, the power was cut out to the camera. That’s when this video stops. The date and time continued to be correct on the next video for the trip home. Even the file names had the correct dates and times. The 5 minute file settings weren’t lost after the cam lost power when I went into the store.
I do think that date/time settings staying correct might be because I set up wifi connection on my phone with the unit before I left home, and it got the date and time from there as soon as my phone lost it’s wifi connection and decided to connect with the camera.
All I have to say is “NICE JOB.” This works great and I like it. I did tell my son to get an android app to try with his phone because this is spendy. If it doesn’t work as well he might get one of these cams.
I haven’t setup the back cam yet, and I think that’s going to take time, but I will get to it eventually.

The picture quality is clear and it’s easy to use. There is a front and back camera that you can use. The front camera is super easy to install. I don’t have the back camera up so I can’t speak about that. All in all this was a great purchase!
