We are very happy with these adapters as it comes neatly packed with little packaging waste. It helps us to plug all our old USB sticks into our phones.
It helped us in a big way as we do not have to buy new leads. It is well made maybe could have bee a bit narrower. It is well priced for what you get Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple easy fix. They are sturdy.
Better then expected
When I saw these I thought they would break after a few uses but I’ve been using them for a while and all seems good and works good, only issue for me when I put a USB into one of them it doesn’t clip on, so it can easily slide out, it was working fine when I got it but now it doesn’t clip, it still works but if I move my laptop it can slide out.

Perfect for what it’s supposed to do. It means I don’t have to spend another 20 on a second Apple Adaptor.
For those complaining you can’t use two side by side on your MacBook, I suggest you go for the equivalent of Apples USB-C to USB Adapter where the USB-C end is the same width as the charging cable. Because of it’s small chunky size, this one mirrors the width of a standard USB and in my view, perfect for what it was made to do.

USB A ports work OK
So far have only used the one USB A to C and it worked fin, no reason to think that the other will be any different.
USB3 A to C adapter that works at USB3 speeds
As other reviewers have said you can’t fit two of these side by side in a mac (based on my 2018 Air) but it will fit next to a type C cable (even the slightly wider Anker and Samsung plug casings). One lives in my laptop bag, the other in my desk.

Now then I recently purchased a new iMac which meant that I needed an adaptor to go from the USB C ports to all my existing USB stuff (sometimes you do have to think that Apple are doing it on purpose – no matter, if you can’t afford it then just don’t do it!). Anyway back to this ‘bit of kit’ – as it was I didn’t expect anything great for such a low price but I must confess to be incredibly impressed.

I tested the adaptor with a dual connect USB stick. The USB stick works when pugged directly into the ipad but does not work when connected through the adaptor.

I’ve ordered a new VW van and the sockets on the dashboard are the latest USB C type. Whilst my phone handset is compatible, other, slightly older devices are not, so if I want to charge them in the vehicle, this is a simple, cheap, effective solution.

2 for the price of 1
It surprises me that you get 2 of these for just over a fiver. They are made of aluminium and finished to a very high standard. Unfortunately, if you have a MacBook [2017-2020] with just the 2 USB-C ports, you can’t put 2 of these in the MacBook as the ports are too close together. It’s not the first time this has happened. It’s not the fault of Syntech but the fault of the company that makes the MacBook. However if you bought a USB C port replicator with 4 USB C ports then bought 2 of these Syntech adapters [ 4 for just over a tenner ] You can future proof your computer and it would be cheaper than buying a port replicator with 10-15 ports some of which you don’t need. Well done to Syntech for making such a quality product.
