Love this as it saves me shredding. It’s quick and easy to use. Coverage is good with one application, but if not, I add another. So good I bought three more as Christmas gifts.

I have been tearing my address labels off for years to allow the packaging to recycled. Likewise, on envelopes, I have been tearing off my address. The “Vantamo Data Defender” simply rolls a layer of black test across my address to hide the details removing the need for me to remove the labels anymore. I wish I had bought it sooner to be honest.

I love this little gadget! Certainly better than a big bulky shredder and is so easy to use over those Amazon box labels. I don’t understand why some reviews say they can still see through the back, my photos show front and back and even with just one swipe, I can’t view the back. I tend to do two swipes just to be sure, but I really don’t think it’s necessary. I would definitely recommend this to everyone! 6 refills with mine, which is great and after swiping all of last years receipts, there’s no signs of fading ink yet.

Had a parcel by Royal Mail I went 3 time over my details with this, waited for it to dry then tried to remove it using a damp sponge. It had soaked into the label obliterating my details. Worked really well. My first review of this was bad as I was able to use a damp sponge to remove it from an Amazon label revealing my details. So it depends on what the label is made of as whether this product will work or not. Knowing that makes this product worth having.
Does the job. One cartridge lasts a folder full of paper.
Happy with product as easier than shredding everything especially old bank statements that seem to have personal info everywhere! Can then rip rather than shred.
Good that it comes with refills but already on new cartridge after one file of paper so will use more conservatively otherwise will prove expensive remedy.

This product is brilliant for obscuring identity details. In this day & age it is important that we do all we can to prevent identity theft. This is a simple, cheap & effective way of doing that. Really pleased & would buy again.

I received my ID protector as a gift and thought I’d probably never use it, however, our shredder is now redundant. The Vantamo ID Defender is so quick, easy and effective that I prefer it to using our shredder. We can highly recommend it’s efficiency.
Poor little stamp has been used and used
Got to be one of the best things I’ve ever bought, I’ve literally used on a black bin bag of old letters/bills that were waiting for shredding-shredder being the worst thing I ever bought as only managed 20 sheets before overheating – even stamped over labels on amazon envelopes so I can reuse them why didn’t I get one sooner? Side note you have to go over large bold lettering twice but that’s no big deal

This product is amazing, i was shocked how good it was compared to some other products that claim to do the same thing. This product i rated so highly i showed it to a family member and after they used it they purchased one. This for me is one of the best value purchases ive made. It is so easy to use and work on all different materials.

I have had trouble finding a domestic shredding company so tried this. It covers quite well although I have to go over some things more than once and it depends on the print you are trying to cover. Be cautious to check when using fir highly confidential paperwork.

This is a game changer and saves having to use my shredder. Love that it’s wider than some on the market and comes with 6 ink refills. You don’t realise how much use you’ll get out of it till you have one. Can highly recommend

After seeing these advertised I finally bought one. No more cutting your name and address off papers, now just one swipe of the roller and the paper goes into the recycling bag. Also product comes with spare ink.
Does the job
So, after reading the negative reviews on this and similar products I was a bit apprehensive, but that was unfounded. I have used it on letters, envelopes and amazon labels. When the ink is dry it does not rub off, does not fade, so far I’d say it is perfect for the job, the only thing I didn’t like was the price. Apart from that, great product.

Brilliant gadge
They say small things please small minds – well its definitely true of this! I know its not much but I think its great! I was so sick of trying to pull or cut address labels off of boxes before putting them in the recycling and now its just so easy. Would really recommend – just simple and works.

This was not the cheapest, but looking at the reviews I think it will end up working out cheaper as it comes with lots of refills. It is covering my address well and is easy to use. No more shredding!

My previous one was single use so unfortunately I’ve only produced an non-essential plastic waste I did not try to top up the ink yet but I’m sure it will be ok and will last for ages if not forever. I think it is an essential tool for someone Nature-oriented coz when we use a shredder, we waste energy and produce non-essential paper waste (just for someone who doesn’t know that the shredded paper won’t go to the same bin with recyclable paper waste ). I use it for all the parcel boxes with the address stickers on, non-important letters and all sensitive data which goes to the blue bin. Always handy and constantly in use. I got this a few weeks ago and am really impressed. Hides addresses on most types of paper easily. Sometimes you have to leave it to dry a bit or you may get ink on your hands but that is obvious. I am not sure how long the ink will last, but it comes with refills so hopefully will be easy to fill up! I have recommended to quite a few friends and family members as a great way to keep addresses secure.

FANTASTIC -- better quality than other privacy rollers I've used
I love how wide it is so usually it covers both the name and address in one, and it actually blacks out on all kinds of materials / ink types (unlike others we’ve tried). Most importantly, it’s refillable, so it’s a bigger investment up front but then will last for a long time! Very pleased. Bought a second one — one for the living room and one for the kitchen. I also bought a ton of refills upfront to secure a multi-buy discount when initially purchasing the roller.

What a brilliant product! I used to waste so much ink when scribbling out details with a pen! I don’t need to shred so much now either! Fabulous product and with extra ink cartridges it should last for a very long time.
I’ve tried out several of these before from other brands, in different shapes and sizes, different effectiveness, durability etc. I keep coming back to this one because it’s so easy to hold, use, wide roller and when it runs out of ink, you don’t have the throw the whole thing away (like others) … just replace the ink cartridgee, which also easy to do. Also goes over and stays on the “window” in those window envelopes you don’t even want to open to get to your address. Wouldn’t by another other model now. Wish they’d do a double pack of rollers with ink replacements as a bundle.

I am very happy with this purchase, I have been sceptical in the past and always shredded sensitive documents. The roller from Vantamo is most efficient at obliterating text etc, I even found that it is as good on glossy surfaces, all you need to do is let it dry for an hour or so and then it does not rub off.

This product works well. You need to use it as intended, for example doesn’t work on shiny labels. It does what it needs to do and I’m very happy with it. I recommend to all.

Great wee device! Always hated trying to get labels off parcels before recycling and this solves the problem. Good coverage generally. Plastic coated labels may require a second go and I leave mine to dry before putting in the recycling/bin, otherwise it can smear a bit, but otherwise does what it says in the tin! If I was to be picky, I quite often manage to get ink on my fingers, as getting the cover off cleanly is a skill which I sometimes don’t master, as the top is tight, although to be completely fair this is obviously a good thing!! Has lasted quite a while and I haven’t as yet had to use the little top-up ink thingies. Seller contacted me by email to ensure delivery and to ensure I had no problems. I would assume great after sales service!

Does what it says
Did exactly what it said, obscures addresses so a label or letter can be safely disposed of. Like others, get a lot of deliveries with sticky labels on plastic packaging. It’s quite hard if not impossible to pull off so either snip it up or don’t bother. With this, a quick roll and address now illegally and can be disposed of.
