Great shed, fairly easy to build
This a very good product and so far, no water ingress. The biggest problem I had was clipping the 2 floor panels together, other than that very easy for one person to build. It is pretty sturdy, however when opening the lid it is best to hold onto it as if left to open on the springs the whole shed jolts which would probably damage something over time. It will suit my needs perfectly, a small building to house my telescope
Excellent storage. Assemble instructions were fine but took time & care
I found assembling the storage box very straightforward and only required one person. Instructions and pictures very clear, but it took well over an hour and required a range of tools, especially my drill, to enable screws. Nothing went wrong if you followed the pictures precisely. Great addition to my garden, including storage for Amazon deliveries in my absence
Looks good, pain to build
Looks great, parts well labelled but a swine to build up.
I had to replace the screws supplied, with my own to fix the metal lid support as you would need a screwdriver bit attached to a pneumatic road drill to get them in.
It seems solid and hopefully waterproof, there is also loads of room inside.
Excellent in all regards
Well.I did it! I assembled this shed successfully and the instructions together with video direction were faultless, although several holes needed to be drilled for the “self tapping screws” which simply didn’t ‘bite’ without predrilling. The shed itself is unbelievably sturdy, with metal rod reinforcements and I really do believe it is apt;y named as a “lifetime” shed. Very, very pleased with this purchase. Assembly not for the faint hearted though although if I can do it so can anyone, just allow twice as much time as you might initially think, be sure to have patience and follow the instructions carefully.

Looks good now it’s assembled but be aware you need decent tools in order to do so. We didn’t have a heavy duty cordless drill/screwdriver so had to go and buy them otherwise would have been a very difficult assembly. Once we bought them it was a very fast job.

Straightforward to build and a lot sturdier than I expected. Weather has been quite good since I got it so I can’t comment on how weatherproof it is at the moment.
Great outside storage box
I read all the reviews and then watched the YouTube videos on how to asssemble this item.
As long as you get all the tools together it shouldn’t be too difficult
It took us about 45 mins steady away,we did it without any cutting or modification.
It is a very strong,sturdy box and does the job we bought it for very well.
Pretty good storage box
Quite a pain in the proverbial to assemble and had to dig out my socket set but once finished (after about 45 minutes) ended up with a pretty decent storage box. Seems robust and waterproof. Would buy again but get someone else to assemble the damn thing

Unfortunately, for me, after building and placing it on my wooden deck within one week the lid buckled and dimpled up on the left rear side due to heat and the left/right sides are bowing out a slight bit.
Temps were in the high 80s and low 90s for that week and the box doesn’t get the sun until 12:00 noon. I’m assuming the heat from the deck contributed to the problem. The box still opens and closes without issues and rain water does not get inside. Can’t say everyone has this problem, just know it happened to me.

The box is a good purchase and would have met all my needs without issues, if the deck lid didn’t warp.
Perhaps I’ll buy a replacement lid if they sell them.

Great functional box
Was worried because other reviews had said about difficulty putting it together. If you have a cordless drill, the correct spanner/socket and can follow plain simple instructions this couldn’t be easier. Great sturdy box.

I am moving house without a garage and this weatherproof storage box is the answer to where to store things I want to take. My concern is the weight for the removal men.

The finished look is awesome, however my husband and son agree with other comments about how difficult it was to put together and how a lot of the holes don’t align well. Need more attention in this area I think.

Absolutely brilliant solid storage box. Very easy to build with clear instructions. I see some comments saying about having to put screws in at funny angles and holes not lining up. You will need a block of wood and a light hammer to chap the pieces into place before screwing it together. Like I said this thing is solid and wont let you down.

Great for storage BUT
The box is great for storage but rain water stores on the underlip of the lid every time it rains. As soon as you open the lid, it runs down and if you don’t wipe quickly, drips into the box! Otherwise, it’s great.
We purchased this bin style in the 150 gallon version. It is a great bin and holds our patio set cushions with no problem. The color blends well with our paved patio. It is under our patio roof so I don’t know how well it will handle rain. I have seen several reviews about difficulty in assembly. I am a 79 year old guy and didn’t find many problems other than the instructions could have been a little clearer. I must admit that I did drill tiny pilot holes to get the screws started. The instructions say that it is a two person assembly process. I managed to do it by myself in about 4 hours including breaks. Only snag was mounting the hinges to the lid. I laid the bin on its back and used the packaging materials to raise the bin to line up with the lid.

Very good quality storage box
Spent a long while looking for the best box on the market and I think I found it with the Lifetime Storage box. Perfect size and seems strong enough to conveniently pack away all of my woodworking tools. It is well designed and very well made from very tough plastic making it a much sturdier box than others appear to be. Hardware ok but could be a better quality as some screw heads unable to withstand the necessary torque required to drive them home. Pre-drilled holes in the lid bar and hinges were too small to take the self-tappers and needed to be drilled out. Enjoyable to build when the end result is so good. I built a frame with wheels at each corner to sit the box on to manoeuvre the box to where I needed it. Very satisfied with the Lifetime box. I am confident it will be waterproof but not yet rained to know for sure. Bought a cover just in case anyway. Great produc

There was nothing much to dislike. I would have preferred a grey one but in the end the beige-brown one is better. It has remained waterproof even in the heavy rain and high wind weather we have had lately. Happy.
Strong and weatherproof
Good strong weatherproof box. Easy to assemble and a pleasing colour, which matches our bench seats. Used to store cushions from deck chairs, recliners and sun beds. Good size inside and plenty strong to sit on.

Good quality and sturdy
Easy to build, a power screwdriver is necessary, I can see if you over tighten you could damage the plastic. The lid was a little tricky however I managed it fine with instructions supplied. There was a QR code bringing to a video on how to overall I think this is a great box. I can stand on it, if only on the corners as strong there. Can be locked too.

Sturdy box
Nice and sturdy storage box. The first part of the assembly was easy.
But to connect the lid with the hinges requires a strong power screw driver. I have a small one and there is no way to screw through the “on purpose” smaller holes in the metal parts. So I have the lid just laying loose on top.
As the box is in my garden and I don’t need to lock it I don’t mind, but I definitely think the assembly should be made easier.

Went up with a bit of effort. The holes don’t always fit. But not too difficult. Will definitely buy a cover when I store it away. I can fit in all the cushions from my garden corner sofa and stool.
I was hesitant to buy this after reading several others reviews. Specifically reviews about the top warping and people saying the hardware was the wrong size… couldn’t get the gas struts to snap on, etc.
The box is heavy duty injection molded plastic. So, the tolerances are not going to be to a thousandth of an inch. But, with a little coaxing in a couple places it went together without issue. I did it on a 93 degree day on the shaded area of my paver patio in Florida, in about an hour, including time to assemble my tools and unbox the parts.
The box as designed will not be waterproof… In that, if it sits in standing water… the water will get in. I’ve had it out in some good strong rains in Florida, sitting on my paver deck, and I’ve never found water inside. With a driving rain, perhaps a small amount might be able to seep in, but I’ve not experienced it.
I don’t see how the other reviewer had the lid warp. There is a heavy piece of metal that is screwed in place along the top front edge, that would resist the kind of warping they showed in their picture. Either Lifetime updated their design, or the reviewer failed to install the metal brace!
When installing the screws, I highly recommend a socket wrench, or a socket adapter for a cordless drill. When tightening fasteners, just snug them down into place. Too tight and you could strip them out into the plastic. The gas struts snapped into place on the hinges. I simply snapped one end on the ball joint on the hinge attached to the lid, and then moved the angle of the lid until the bottom end of the strut lined up with the ball joint on the other end of the hinge and snapped it into place. I’m no “Muscle Bound He Man”… after doing the first one I remarked to my wife about the issues the other reviewer had. She wanted to have a try, so I had her do the other one. She did it easily without needed guidance or tools. She is not a body builder either! LOL
When installing the front and back into the base, use a rubber mallet to coax things into place like instructed, or a small piece of 2×4 (or other wood) to protect the plastic if using a standard hammer. You have to get some tabs to go into a slot, and then slide them. When installing the front and back to the base I found that giving a couple whacks with a rubber mallet, then setting it on it’s side to make sure all the tabs were located correctly and sliding in the slots. Then I left it sitting on the right side, and moved them fully into place by tapping on the top left with the rubber mallet…. gravity helps you a bit this way.
Assembly does require a little skillfully applied force in some areas. If you have 7/16, 3/8 & 1/2 sockets and wrenches, a phillips #2 screwdriver, and either a rubber mallet or hammer and small block of wood to use when hitting the plastic, you should be fine.

We have had several strong rain storms and the cushions have stayed dry and clean. I did purchase a metal clamp to join the top and bottom together in the hole where a pad lock can go, so that in a strong wind storm the tops would remain closed. After a rain, a little water collects on the inside ridge of the box and when you open the box a few drops of water get in, but this is not a problem. I highly recommend this product and would buy more if I needed them.

Top quality fully waterproof garden box
Have tried numerous cushion boxes which were poor quality, they used to bend, this stopped their ability to be waterproof. This box however did none of the above. It comfortably holds 8 patio furniture cushions and is completely waterproof. It was reasonably easy to build. Watch the video on YouTube. In a league of its own would highly recommend.

Great asset but instructions not very clear but had help from neighbours, the only difficult part is the lid and the workings plus not entirely lined up but that can be sorted. Overall a nice looking product, very sturdy.

This really is a well built and wonderfully designed storage box.
It’s double skinned and and easy to put together. I like the steel reinforcements.
This box is definitely waterproof and the lid sits properly and flush.
Some of the bottom tabs can be a bit tricky to properly align but with some coaxing it forms a sturdy and robust box.
The metal padlock fittings are a lot better than the plastic competition, although I doubt it would stand up to a sustained attack.
The pistons are little powerful, however I expect they will soften with age.
I was also impressed with the documentation and YouTube instruction video. Well done Lifetime.
Overall an excellent box and worth a buy.
Quality box
Good quality box, looks good in the garden. Assembly reasonably easy if you have cordless screwdriver and a couple of decent spanners.
Would recommend that you put a locking device on the lid as it can blow open if the wind gets under it, then the gas struts lift the lid open.

Eine recht groe, sehr stabile Aufbewahrung fr alles mgliche, das man im Garten gerne wasserdicht aufbewahrt haben will.macht einen wertigen eindruck, ist zu zweit auch flott aufgebaut.allerdings….was der Truhe noch gut bekommen wrde wren rollen, sie ist recht gro und sperrig und kann von einer Einzelperson nicht an einen anderen Ort verbracht werden weil man sie nicht rollen kann, ich werde versuchen Mbelrollen daran zu montieren…und die Griffe an der Seite sind meiner Meinung nach nicht gut durchdacht weil man die Truhe damit nicht hochheben kann.sie haben keine Halterung die man greifen kann sondern sind nur eingepresste Vertiefungen.da rutscht man unweigerlich mit der Hand ab wenn man die Truhe hochheben mchte.

Delighted with this product however it does take time and 3 people to put it together and you must follow the comprehensive instructions and not take short cuts.

Great storage uni
The storage box does all i required, takes my two bikes and the rack for the car. I marked assembly as four only because i think some may find it a little difficult. The roof does need two people better with three to attach it to the box. Overall it is great and meets all my needs.

Just unpacking you know it’s going to be good quality by the packaging.
The product did not disappoint, everything fitted very precisely. Building it on a level surface helps massively. If you take your time with the instructions, they’re very clear. Don’t make assumptions and rush stages. Follow it precisely and it’s clear and simple. The end product is very sturdy and aesthetically appealing. It is much sturdier than storage boxes I’ve encountered in the past.
One of my pistons broke on construction but Lifetime have been excellent and have dispatched a replacement so I was just unlucky I think.
It is waterproof. Again a tip… wipe the under front edge of the lid quickly before opening after rain… Or it drips inside as it raises! But this is true of any box lid, not a product fault.

Great value and not hard to assemble
Quality really good and better than most at higher price. Assembly done by a friend who I warned that other owners had commented on this being difficult. He needed drivers and a drill but was ready for anything. He took less than an hour to assemble two (43.11 litre size) and remarked that they were a doddle! Struts work well and the plastic is really solid. They look good and hold a lot. Long items like some hoes and rakes might be a problem. Colour very acceptable. I will use karabiners to lock as burglars damage locked storage in order to steal stuff worth little money.

Top bit of kit!
Took myself & a friend a couple of hours to build & Apart from a couple of minor deviations from the instructions, minor niggle but the drawings were just a little vague in some parts, not many though, it was pretty much easy enough. really robust construction, sturdy, spacious & weatherproof.
I am more than happy to recommend this item to anyone looking for garden storage.
I researched a lot and decided on this one due to the size for my needs, the style which is nice and the sturdyness reported by others, I was put off quite a bit by the difficulties reported by other buyers but risked it because I haven’t met a flat packed item that defeated me yet.
Other buyers need to be aware that this is tricky to assemble, simply because there are no guide holes in the plastic and you need brute force to screw into the plastic initially, that’s fine because I had enough brute force and was able to complete the base alone. When it came to the lid I needed to call for assistance, the screws are deliberately wide and so when screwing them into the bar it’s not possible to do this while holding the bar down flush with the moulding to allow sufficient space to meet the plastic, not holding it down would mean the screws slightly missed the plastic and therefore you do need 2 people. We found it easier to use a wrench rather than a drill but each to their own. Be aware, the last sentence in the instructions state that the product is not waterproof, I will need to rethink the position and the contents of this product rather than risk what I originally had in mind, having said that I haven’t tested it in rain yet.
The instructions are clear and there’s a couple of QR codes to access a YouTube video to help so its not rocket science by any means.
During assembly my daughter commented it looks like a coffin (due to the size) and it nearly became one after her Father accidentally stabbed himself with a screwdriver, brute force was nearly his undoing.
Overall it’s a good looking product and I’m glad I invested in it rather than a cheaper version.

As already noted, there are no issue with looks and sturdiness. Decent, hard plastic which should last a while.
However, the assembly is something else.
Manual is confusing and inaccurate. Schematics show perfect parts alignment which cannot be achieved in reality. You cant force push parts together either, as they either bend or spring back out again as soon as you relieve the pressure.
Plastic ‘tongs’ holding sides are quite flimsy and should be thicker.
Metal plate which is supposed to be attached in far, right corner had to be attached with my screws as those designed for it were too short
Hinges are quite flimsy as well, and attaching door to main frame was an absolute pain. Be prepared to have few spare drill bits handy. Also, if you want your door well aligned, be prepared to drill multiple holes until you get it right. This would work much better if instead of screws, there were bolts + nuts with pre – drilled holes in metal inserts for it.
All in all good product, but the assembly (including parts connection) could be so much better.
Quera escribir esta resea porque estuvimos a punto de no comprarlo al leer comentarios de que las instrucciones son complejas, las puertas no encajan o que haba que hacer agujeros en las bisagras de metal, pero todo lo contrario, las bisagras vienen perforadas, las instrucciones son muy buenas y las puertas encajan a la perfeccin. No se si todo esto se debe a que han escuchado las quejas de los usuarios y han hecho una nueva revisin del producto.
Mi experiencia con el producto es la siguiente:
– Instrucciones sencillas y paso a paso, en varios idiomas incluido el castellano.
– Piezas marcadas con la referencia de las instrucciones y bolsas de tornillos bien separadas con la referencia de las instrucciones.
– Incluye un par de brocas y punta de destornillador para facilitar el montaje.
– Materiales de buena calidad y producto estanco para mantener el interior seco.
– Incluye instrumentos para anclarlo a la pared, aunque en mi caso no ha sido necesario.
– Solo he necesitado hacer dos agujeros en la puerta de plstico que en mi opinin podran venir hechos, pero no ha sido un problema hacerlos.
En resumen, muy buena compra en cuanto resistencia, tamao y aislamiento.

Highly recommended Outdoor Storage Box
Very pleased with this outdoor storage deck box, straightforward to assemble (requires two people for some parts). Box looks good in the garden, masses of room for garden tools or outdoor furniture cushions. No rain to date so I cannot comment if it is weather proof. Box is sturdy and good value.
Does the job
Bought this to store my garden cushions. It took 2 of us to assemble it but stores a lot of stuff. Colour blends in well. The items have been through the winter with rain and sleet and everything has remained dry. Just needed a bit of airing in the sun.

The product is good, but the assembly instructions could use some help
I believe this will be a durable product that’ll last a number of years, but the assembly instructions could use some help. For example…
One of the initial steps is to insert and slide two of the panels into the floor/base panel while it’s on the ground. Couldn’t do it. It was MUCH easier to stand the floor panel up and gently tap the other panels into place use a rubber mallet.
The instructions state that the side panels should be inserted so you hear a _click_ as they snap into place. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get them to click into place; they’re inserted enough to lock into place so hearing a click may not be necessary.
When screwing the lower side panels into place, it’s easier to crawl inside the box than to attempt to do so from the outside.
The hinges’ holes didn’t line up with the box’s sides they their mounting screws missed the mark.
My only real concern is the hinges: I don’t think they’re robust enough to withstand frequent use. Time will tell.
Worth the money and time to assemble
Huge and sturdy. A pig to put together- you need force and patience oh and the exact tools they say. Plastic mouldings are v exacting and unforgiving. Can’t believe it’s water proof – it’s just pushed together then screws added so is does not fall apart. But time will tell. Will definitely put it in the garage over winter or driving rain will get in through the joints. Gets all the seat and back cushions from our 8 seater corner sofa set in it.
Written assembly manual almost worthless
Typical for the day, the written assembly directions are confusing, at least to me, and they fall short of desirable. I couldn’t find a assembly video on the company website to save my soul, but thankfully good old YouTube came to the rescue and I found an excellent video stepping the way to putting this box together. Excellent video, crap written manual.
The box itself seems really strong and tight. The hinged top works effortlessly. I doubt there’s much weather proofing at the bottom so keep your dedicates off the floor.
Overall I’m quite pleased with my purchase. Of course time will be the ultimate judge if the unit starts to warp especially the top.

I am sitting on it now and it is very sturdy and holds my weight. It holds all my pool supplies and outdoor cushions. Great product! Thank You. I liked it so much I purchased another one for just pool chemicals and other cleaning supplies, but I was disappointed when I had it put together that it was missing the top lid support bar and now the lid will not stay closed unless I put something on top of it. I now have to reach out to customer support to have replacement part sent to me.

Great storage box. Didn’t take us that long to assemble but I do have a husband who has all the gear and quite a lot of idea! The box is sturdy and waterproof although to make sure we added a silicone seal all the way round. Would recommend

Nice,good looking,a bit difficult to fit parts together,but if you watch lifetime shed video on you tube and follow step by step instructions it should be ok,as accesories there are hooks made for shed

The only issue I had was that one of the gas closures snap on ends was defective and the top had a small defect in color and not sure if it was a quality control issue at the factory or maybe a shipping issue, I did notice that the cardboard box top had been punctured when delivered by the Amazon truck. So for now it remains a mystery but once I contacted Felicia in Customer Service she made the warranty replacement very easy and now I've been notified that both warranty parts will be sent to me soon. For the money, free delivery and option to return if . I found the assembly easy up and until the attached the lid components. That was a bit of a struggle. Had to drill through metal bar to attached to unit. A powerful drill is required for most of the the screws. Cursing helps. Now that it’s assembled all it ha to do is stay assembled, accept a lock and keep my golf clubs dry. Looks good but fingers crossed.

Straightforward and strong
Unit is supplied as a ‘flat-pack’ and there is a benefit in two persons doing the assembly. The instructions are straightforward, but should be followed to the letter to achieve success. Although some of the pieces just go together under physical pressure, there are also occasions when an electric drill/ screwdriver is pretty essential. In addition, it was useful to have 11mm and 13mm spanners to tighten home some of the shakeproof nuts. I now have a smart, strong and waterproof garden box to match our new garden shed! Assembly time – about and hour and a quarter.
Very Nice Storage Box
Took me ages to find a nice looking strong box with a good seal that is big enough to hold all of our patio seat cushions. This products ticked all the boxes!

Good solid structure
Assembly started off ok but then screws didnt fit so had to buy more and get the drill out .Bought it as waterproof but then the information that came with it said it might not be .
I would just like to add the delivery was dreadful waited 3 days after the stated time ,no chance of getting in touch with Hermes …do they actually exist…automated phone ..e.mail address didnt work .Downloaded their app which was useless Finally received delivery after 4 days at 7pm by a really nice guy …not his fault .
Outdoor sturdy storage box
We did our research this time, as we wanted a sturdy box that would last. This is expensive but the difference from our previous (Keter) is noticeable. It comes with an instruction book and handy QR codes that you can scan with your phone to watch a Youtube video. Very good idea. It does require tools, especially an electric screwdriver. I doubt I could have assembled it without my husband (as much as I hate to admit that) and it is certainly easier with two people. However, once put together, it is a nice looking unit, it feels solid and is certainly roomy enough for all our garden cushions. It puts our previous one to shame…. The added benefit of the gas hinges really makes it easy to use too. I would highly recommend.

Garden storage
The instructions are clear to follow and I would recommend reading through these before starting. The construction does take time so patience is required and it is tricky with some parts so a second person may be required. The only real problem that I encountered was one of the drill pieces that are supplied snapped while drilling a pilot hole. Fortunately I had one of my own of the same size

Ignore any reviews that say it was a nightmare to put together, it was a dream. Took me 2 hours on my own. Assistance not needed. Anyone who can read and use a screwdriver with a modicum of common sense can put this together
I avoided using a drill or electric screwdriver. All the screws and bolts lined up perfectly. Where there isn’t a hole for a screw to go in, there is an indentation.Simply put the screw against it apply pressure through the screwdriver and being self tappers, the screws make their own hole. You may need to substitute the screwdriver for a spanner as these self made holes are tight. But of course it makes them more secure.
It’s weatherproof. Looks amazing and does exactly the outdoor storage job it was purchased for.

Easy...
Easy to put together but some metal hinges needed to be drilled to fit the self tapping screws. Can’t tell about water tight as not had rain… but we have decided to run silicone up the joins as a double protection.
Great Storage, not an easy build
This is a great outdoor storage unit. We have been able to put a lot of items in this unit. We are pretty good with flat pack, however there were some aspects of the build that took longer than they need to. For example, there are not always pre drilled holes so drilling direct into hard plastic was no easy job.
Ours didn’t clip tightly at the bottom even with a lot of force, therefore some rain has got in. Definitely need 2 people to build this as it is flimsy at the start until you start to screw it altogether.
Still a great unit, would recommended and does look nice in the garden.

A well made, light weight storage uni
Some of the reviews on this product mention difficulties in assembling. I ignored the manual entirely and used the two videos on YouTube by the manufacturer. They’re not as detailed as I would have liked but they helped me through it.
Assembling is a little more difficult than other similar items and it took me a few hours. It’s more tricky than your average IKEA unit.
You’ll need a small collection of spanners and a cordless with a high torc on it and a large wrench head fitting for the 8 screws that need to punch in to the plastic, through the metal bars. My cordless simply couldn’t do it, even when I made pilot holes in the plastic first. So I had to borrow a more powerful one which to be fair, did it no problem.
Once constructed I could lift it and move it on my own and it seems solid and weatherproof. But time will tell. All in all, I’m impressed with the quality. It seems sturdier and everything is slotted together a lot tighter than other units I’ve had in the past which ended up letting both rain and bugs in.

First, I screwed it to the deck with four 1/4 inch lag screws and LARGE fender washers -- just snug. Too tight will squeeze the bottom plastic. To facilitate easy opening in the cold, I mounted a large grab handle on the top, about 2 inches from the leading edge. A two-hole mount, like one used on garage doors works well. Be sure to use large fender washers under the handle, and on the inside, along with lock washers and "ny-lock" nuts. Do not over tighten! If the box is balky to open, delivery drivers won't use it. I also chained the padlock down to keep it from "walking away" -- it has to be left open during idle time.
