It just works
I was sceptical about the price tag at first, but please don’t think this is like the cheaper devices that claim to do the same thing … the performance of this is flawless.
Shooting with a DSLR, this device will handle 1080p/60fps video without any stuttering.

I’ve used these for everyday for the last 3 years and I’ve never had an issue. The recent price drop on Amazon enticed me to buy a couple more.
There are cheaper versions on Amazon and they seem OK, but the question is, would you really want to risk your live stream going down to save 40. Bottom line, a proven product that works, if you want to connect your camera to your PC/Mac this is the product to buy.
Easy and quick to have it ready
It’s such a good piece of hardware. Easy to install, no drivers needed and you can have your image setup right away. I use it to turn my gopro hero 5 black into a webcam, which is very nice to use (1080p 60fps)
In case you need to modify some settings like contrast, saturation, hue and brightness, you can use the 4k capture utility or do the same on your preferred application (I use OBS Studio and I have more control of the settings for the webcam.
As I don’t have a pci express slot (I have an itx board with just one slot that I have my graphics card installed), this USB stick is very convenient. A little bit expensive in my opinion, but I haven’t found anything similar in terms of quality

But price is bit high for its product. so you might need to decide 1080p + more functions vs 4k without any other functions.
Slightly better than much cheaper alternatives
I bought both the CamLink 4K and a generic USB-HDMI capture device to compare them. I paid 90 for the CamLink and 20 for the generic device. Both devices worked well when connecting a Nikon D610 to a 2014 iMac, both delivered high quality video without overlays or errors. I found that the colour quality on the CamLink was a touch superior, the motion seemed a little smoother and the image was just a notch more appealing. That small difference was worth 70 to me, it may or may not be worth that much money to you.

I have to say it does it’s job and does it well.
Connected to my Canon M50 it works perfect without any drivers.
Seems to output 1080p 60fps by default at a super high 250Mb/s !
So be mindful of that very high but rate if recording straight from source on a computer without compression. File sizes rack up very quickly.

Au premier abord on pourrait se demander pourquoi cette carte est beaucoup plus chre que les autres cartes d’acquisition que l’on peut trouver sur ce site.
Et pourtant elle est extrmement qualitative. Je m’en sers pour rcuprer le signal HDMI de mon appareil photo.
J’ai eu pas mal de problmes avec des cartes moins chres et j’ai fini par acheter celle-ci.
Aucun regret malgr le prix.
Utilise en couple avec un l’appareil photo Canon EOS, je peux du coup rcuprer des vidos de haute qualit sans passer par la carte mmoire mais uniquement via mon ordi. Indispensable ! Petit exemple en vido ci-joint.
Compatible Linux
Carte bien supporte sous Linux, pas de driver installer (Ubuntu 20.04).
Cette carte doit tre compare la AVerMedia ExtremeCap UVC
La qualit d’image est trs proche de celle de la AVerMedia ExtremeCap UVC, avec la 4K en plus.
C’est seulement de la 4K@30, comme utilis sur certains appareils photos ou certaines camera.
Pas de possibilit d’import depuis des sources 4K@60, pas de downscale.
En 1080p, les deux cartes sont difficilement distinguables en terme de qualit d’image.
J’ai utilis les deux cartes la fois sur des ordinateurs portables et sur mon ordinateur fixe (tour).
Sur les ordinateurs portables, pas de problme de stabilit (pour les deux cartes); en revanche sur le fixe c’tait plus compliqu.
Sur le fixe, j’ai choisi Avermedia (voir mon commentaire de cette carte).
La Elgato demandait de trop ruser sur les paramtres et le conditions d’utilisation pour viter les plantages.
En revanche, pour le portable, Elgato marche trs bien, et c’est moins encombrant.
Au final, les prix tant trs proches, je conseillerai Avermedia sur un fixe et Elgato Camlink sur un portable.

Funktioniert auch unter Linux
Ich benutze den Stick um meine GX80 an OBS anzubinden.
Betriebssystem ist Linux Mint 20.1 Kernel 5.8.0
CamLink an USB3 einstecken Kamera dran fertig. Es muss nichts zustzlich installiert werden.
Video und Ton sind da laufen stabil

ElGato se caracteriza por sus productos vistosos, de calidad, y sobre todo, caros. En este caso no es una excepcin, el camlink es una capturadora de video que os dar la mejor calidad tanto en 1080 como en 4K hasta 30 FPS. Si buscis conectar una consola tenis que iros a una de las otras (HD60+ o las internas, 4K Pro) ya que la funcin de esta es sobre todo, poder conectar cmaras a vuestro PC como si fuesen una webcam. En mi caso, para una Sony a6400 con un Sigma 16mm 1.4 y funciona de maravilla. La integracin con sus otros productos es muy buena (por si usis stream deck) y adems, nada ms conectarla os lo reconocer instantneamente en todos los softwares tipo OBS.
Si queris solo algo que os de 1080 y no tenis mucho presupuesto, podis comprar una capturadora ms asequible (cuidado con las chinas de 20) y os har el apao para 30fps. A partir de 1080p60 ahorrara y cogera esta.
Funciona bien pero tiene algunos detalles con el audio.
Me decepciono un poco. Haba escuchado sobre elgato y tenia buenas reseas, pero comparto los peros que tuve al utilizarlo. Como puntos positivos, es ligero, buena construccin y calidad. En cuanto a la calidad de imagen es excelente. Sin embargo tuve problemas de audio, se escuchaba bastante mal. Revisando en foros encontr que tenia que ver algo el puerto USB donde lo uses y la longitud del cable. Y efectivamente, si utilizo una extension de cable USB el audio pierde calidad incluso con la extension que trae incluida. Conectandolo directamente al puerto USB se escucha bien. Sincroniza bien el audio y video. Tambin en algunos puertos USB el audio fallaba. Por lo que cuando me funciono en un puerto en ese lo utilice solamente.
En general funciona bien, solo hay que tomar en cuenta estos detalles en el audio.

Dies hat ansich auch super funktioniert. (Keine Einrichtung notwendig! Lief direkt ohne eine Installation unter Windows 10.)
Einzig meine Kamera hat nicht die gewnschte Funktion geliefert, wie erhofft, sodass ich den Stick zurck schicken musste.

I just plugged it in, connected it to my camera. Opened OBS and it works. No need to install driver. On linux it just works out of the box. 😀

s peu de camras et appareils photos ont t tests. Pour vrifier que votre appareil est compatible, vrifiez les choses suivantes :
– l’appareil doit avoir une sortie HDMI
– Il doit avoir un adaptateur secteur, sinon ce sera limite niveau batterie sur la dure, a peut poser un problme surtout pour du live.
– le mode veille de l’appareil doit pouvoir tre mis sur off. sinon il se coupera pendant votre runion. Sur 6 appareils chez moi seulement deux le permettent.
– Ensuite testez votre sortie HDMI sur une tl HD. cela doit donner une image propre et plein cran (image de l’cran de l’appareil photo)
Si tout a est ok a devrait marcher avec le camlink !
C’est ainsi que j’ai test mes appareils et camras et jai dtermin que deux seraient compatibles, ce qui a t le cas.
a marche donc avec l’omd em5 Mark II accompagn de sa poigne HLD8.. En effet, la poigne permet de mettre n adaptateur secteur, et l’appareil accepte de mettre le mode veille sur off.
a marche aussi avec la camra Sony HXR NX30.
Il faut rgler l’appareil sur vido et aussi enlever le display sur l’cran (infos sur l’cran, quadrillage de vise de l’appareil photo). a demande quand mme pas mal de temps configurer.
Il faut aussi une entre qui soit au moins USB3.0
Avec un mac, il faut un adaptateur USB 3.x vers USB-C qui soit de qualit.
Clairement l’adaptateur est le maillon faible, donc achetez en un qui soit de qualit et si possible USB 3.2.
Il faut veiller ce que tous ces cbles ne bougent pas , ne puissent pas se dtacher ou mme faire de micro mouvements car a risque de couper sinon.
DEs gens disent que a marche des fois, des fois pas.. pour moi cela vient de leurs connexions, de leurs adaptateurs et cbles. si la fiche de l’une de parties est susceptible de bouger un peu, a coupe.
Au final c’est trs pratique et surtout l’image est bien meilleure que la meilleure webcam. Les gens ont tout de suite remarqu la diffrence. Par contre, il faut prvoir de l’clairage comme si vous faisiez de la photo ou de la vido.

Cons: The issue I have come across is strange. If the camera is turned off and after sometime you turn it on it won’t recognise the camera for which you have to either restart your streaming software if that doesn’t help restarting the computer helps. Well my driver’s, software and OS is all upto date

I prodotti Elgato non sono famosi per essere a buon mercato ma valgono ogni centesimo.
Elgato Cam Link 4k consente di trasformare la vostra sorgente HDMI, indipendentemenete da quale questa sia, in una webcam senza la minima perdita di qualit e con latenze minime.
In pratica se la nostra videocamera o Fotocamera dispone di una uscita video HDMI PULITA, ovvero senza tutte quelle informazioni che vediamo sul display come: batteria residua, dati di scatto e parametri vari, possibile collegarla al CamLink e collegare questo ad una delle porte USB 3 del nostro computer; tra le periferiche di acquisizione video comparir una nuova periferica con il video e l’audio della nostra sorgente (l’audio sar disponibile se la fotocamera dispone di microfono e ne invia su HDMI il segnale).
Le immagini saranno dettagliate, luminose, e di altissima qualit (ovviamente in proporzione alla qualit della sorgente utilizzata) e c’ poco da fare, la migliore Webcam non si avvicina minimamante alla qualit di una fotocamera mirrorles o una DSLR.
Consiglio vivamente l’abbinamento a OBS Studio per la gestione del tutto.

Ich war mit der 720p-Auflsung, die die panasonic-eigene Streaminglsung ber USB liefert, nicht zufrieden.
Mit dem CamLink kann ich den 4:2:2-Output meiner Kamera inkl. Audio-Signal via OBS fr Teams, Zoom & Co verwenden. Da Streams standardmig auf 720p runtergerechnet werden, kann ich ohne Qualittsverluste in OBS 6fach reinzoomen und so verschiedene Szenen gestalten (Whiteboard, Schreibtisch, Totale, etc.).
Fr reine Hobby-Anwendungen gibt es sicher gnstigere Varianten, aber als Seminarleiter und selbststndiger Berater ist das Teil fr mich im Moment alternativlos.
Great picture quality with low latency of 5 frames
I find this to have a 5 frame processing delay which is consistent so I have added a delay to my audio of 200ms and voila everything is in sync when I broadcast to Zoom, Skype, Facebook live etc.

Etwas teuer, aber ein tolles, unkompliziertes Gert, Plug and Play. Jede Kamera mit HDMI Ausgang kann als Webcam genutzt werden.
Ich nutze den Stick im Beruf fr meine Seminare, welche wir Pandemie nur noch virtuell anhalten.

I requisiti del computer, come scritto da Elgato, sono tra gli altri: processore iCore5, porta USB 3. Tuttavia funziona a meraviglia anche sul mio MacPro del 2010: ho s aggiunto porte USB3 (che nn avevo) ma il processore Xeon 5670 12 Core (quindi nn iCore5).
Prodotto fantastico, plug&play. Lo uso con OBS, nessun problema o settings aggiuntivi.
Preciso infine che prima di Camlink4k usavo uno di quei dispositivi di cattura video (Hdmi-Usb) decisamente economici, asiatici, usciti negli ultimi anni: funzionano bene anche questi ma la qualit video comunque nettamente inferiore a quella di questo prodotto (ovviamente spiegabile considerando il costo!).

Den Elgato Cam Link 4K nutze ich tglich fr Online Veranstaltungen in Kombination mit OBS Studio. Die Bildqualitt ist super und technisch gab es keinerlei Ausflle. Bin sehr zufrieden. Lieber einmal was teurer aber dafr TOP Qualitt.
A Godsend for Canon M50 Owners!!
I recently upgraded from using a GoPro Hero 8 Black as my webcam, action cam, cam cam, etc. I was using it as a jack of all trades even though its really not up to the task, at least not in my case. So I stepped up to a beautiful mirrorless Canon EOS M50, side note; if you’re looking at getting into photography or content creation the M50 with the 15-45mm kit lens is the PERFECT place to start. Problem there is I do a lot of my videos through OBS so I can overlay myself over whatever the subject is, and through the Canon’s USB (2.0) connection you’re severely limited to 576p, yeah lol. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a $700 mirrorless camera kit right? Could have accomplished MORE with a $30 webcam.
So I tried one of those cheap $29 BlueAVS HDMI capture cards, they are absolute garbage. It introduced such a horrible rolling shutter effect that all footage run through it was pretty much unusable in all parts other than where I was completely 100% still. You could just watch the line go from top to bottom and cringe as it just chops and tears every tiny little movement as it went.
Now I have this beauty, granted it cost just over 3x more than the BlueAVS one, but the image quality and lack of tearing makes it a totally justified price to me. Not to mention you also get the 4K Capture Utility along with it, though as I said I prefer using OBS. If you need a way to route your nice camera through the computer this is certainly the way to do it.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned as I’ve taught myself videography these past few months it’s this. You absolutely cannot get away with going cheap in this industry. There’s a reason there is such a large price gap between low end and high end hardware. You 100% get what you pay for, and this piece of kit is worth every dollar.
einwandfreie Funktion als Webcam und in OBS, leichte Installatio
Zugegeben der Preis des elgato cam link 4k schreckte mich schon etwas ab, vor allem weil es ja unzhlige China Alternativen zu einem deutlich geringeren Preis gibt. Ich habe mich aber aufgrund der berwiegend positiven rezensionen doch fr das elgato Cam link 4k entschieden.
Die Installation ging super easy auf meinem 7 Jahre alten Windows 10 Lenovo W520 (core i7). Nach der Installation ist die am camlink angeschlossene Kamera (Sony Alpha 6000, via HDMI, 1080) direkt z.B. in MS Teams verwendbar. In Teams kann ich auch auf meinem alten Rechner kaum Latenz feststellen (es gibt eine minimale Verzgerung , diese drfte aber im ms Bereich liegen und ist fr mich nicht strend),
Auch in OBS wird die Kamera einwandfrei erkannt und funktionierte bei mir in einem 4 Kamera (2 x USB, 1x intern, 1x camlink 4k) einwandfrei.
Irgendwann werde ich sicher mal einen China Adapter ausprobieren, einfach weils mich interessiert 🙂 Bis dahin bin ich mit dem elgato camlink 4k vollauf zufrieden.

Camlink comprato per collegare la mia nuova Sony Alpha 6000 utilizzata per lo streaming su Twitch. Non voglio addentrarmi nei dettagli tecnici perch ci sono splendide recensioni su YouTube. Probabilmente la maggior parte degli utenti che vorranno comprare questa scheda d’acquisizione sar principalmente per collegare una DSLR al proprio PC per uso streaming/recording su Twitch & Youtube, e posso garantire che non ve ne pentirete.
Esistono soluzioni molto pi economiche (e non di poco!) ma credetemi, se opterete per tali,andrete incontro a tanti fastidiosissimi problemi che renderanno la qualit della vostra DSLR del tutto scadente (a questo punto meglio utilizzare una comunissima webcam).
Per concludere: se sei un content creator, questo Camlink la soluzione definitiva.

A great solution if you’re looking to use a GoPro, camcorder or DSLR for Zoom calls. Generally, these kinds of devices give much better image quality than even high-end webcams, not least because of the built-in algorithms for adjusting skin-tone, etc. I was disappointed that it did not work with my old Sony DSLR 700, but that’s only because the camera itself does not support live view through HDMI: the camera can only output stored images through HDMI, which of course is no use for Zoom calls. But that is a limitation of the camera, not the fault of the Elgato.
Works great for capturing my sony handycam hdr-cx675 as a webcam for live streaming and video calls. Also captures consule video and audio with little issues. Streaming delay is minimal via usb 3.0 cable and delivers great video quality as well.

Exactly what u need to output to a laptop, pair it with a hdmi splitte
Am a Laproscopic surgeon and I needed a capture device to record my surgeries. This exactly fits the Bill when used with a hdmi splitter, one in two out model.. game capture software is excellent and idiot proof. Highly recommended for anyone looking for such a use.
Dslr streaming as a substitute webcam was the Cherry on top. My meetings and talks look extremely professional now a days..

Der Elgato Cam Link 4k verspricht einfachste Handhabung. Kamera via HDMI angestpselt – ab damit in den USB 3.0 Port und los geht’s.
Und tatschlich! Sofort bekommt ihr ein Signal. Programme wie Teams oder OBS erkennen den kleinen Stick sofort. Einfacher geht es wirklich nicht.
Sowohl mit einer Sony Alpha als auch mit einer betagten GoPro Hero 3 Black wird das Bild nahezu latenzfrei wiedergegeben (Wichtig: angeschlossene Gerte mssen ber Clean HDMI verfgen). Das Bild ist im Fall der Sony Alpha auf jeden Fall jeder Webcam, die ich bis dato gesehen habe berlege. Zu beachten gilt: 1080p ist mit bis zu 60 fps mglich. 4k hingegen mit bis 30 fps.
Wer mag, kann auch das aufgenommene Bild via Elgato eigener Software aufnehmen. Ich brauchte sie aber bisher nicht wirklich fr meine Amwendungen und kann deshalb keine Auskunft darber liefern.
Es ist also ein Top-Produkt, das mich voll berzeugt. Nur beim Preis ist man Elgato-typisch drber. Es gibt No Name Varianten mit USB 3.0, die das Gleiche versprechen fr ca. 40 Euro. Zu gegebener Zeit werde ich mir davon mal eine besorgen und mit dem Cam Link 4k vergleichen und ggf. das Review anpassen.
Aktuell hat es seine 5 Sterne aber mehr als verdient.

Ich wollte mit meiner Spiegellosen Kamera streamen knnen. Das geht mit dem Camlink ohne Probleme. Allerdings wird manchmal der Adapter nicht mehr erkannt dann muss man ihn vom USB trennen und neu stecken.
Die Bezeichnung 4K ist etwas irrefhrend. Ich muss an meiner Fuji XT30 und XT3 die Videoauflsung auf Full HD Reduzieren, anderenfalls kommt die Meldung das die Auflsung nicht untersttzt wird. Das ist nervig aber machbar.
Endlich problemfrei
Ich hatte schon sehr lange vor mit der GoPro Hero7 zu streamen, allerdings geht das leider nicht so einfach mit dieser Action Cam da man diese nicht einfach als Webcam nutzen kann. Dann habe ich von der Hero8 gehrt die Livestreaming anbietet mit der GoPro nternen Lsung. Da habe ich also die Hero8 gekauft und diese Webcam App heruntergeladen, ich habe mich wochenlang rumgeqult und es hat einfach nicht funktioniert.
Dann habe ich aufgegeben und mir mein Camlink geholt, funktioniert sofort perfekt.
Ich bin endlich sorgenfrei was das angeht.

Mi serviva una cam link per usare la Fujifilm X-T3 come webcam o per avere un monitor esterno di riferimento quindi ho preso l’Elgato durante il black friday usufruendo del 30% sul warehouse pagandola 85 rispetto al prezzo pieno di 129: ho ricevuto una confezione ben fatta ma molto semplice che conteneva unicamente la chiavetta, probabilmente in confezione c’era anche una prolunga USB ma probabilmente il precedente proprietario si tenuto un ricordo.
IMPORTANTE: la chiavetta supporta fino a 1080@60 e 4K@30 ma NON supporta 4K@60
La chiavetta funziona egregiamente, testata in 4K@30 sia su vecchio macpro 2012 os10.15 che su un windows 10 entrambi collegati ad un monitor 4K IPS, basta collegarla e senza installare nulla subito rilevata da OBS Studio
Dopo vari test per mi son reso conto che il 4K per il mio uso era sprecato e questa cam non si pu ritenere un investimento visto che non supporta i 4k@60 , quindi ho fatto il reso ed ho optato per una chiavetta cinese 1080@60 pagata su amazon 14 e dico che si comporta esattamente allo stesso modo.
In definitiva la consiglio?
Al momento non ci sono soluzioni economiche che gestiscono il 4K e sicuramente se si vuole un prodotto di qualit in 4K la risposta SI E’ CONSIGLIATA.
Altrimenti se il vostro uso non professionale o vi accontetate del 1080@60 potete fare come me e cio investire solo 15-20 risparmiante oltre 100 da dedicare in altro

Questo prodotto per chi fa streaming e vuole ottenere il massimo della qualit a livello video indispensabile. Da quando ho comprato questa camlink la qualit dello streaming cambiata dal giorno alla notte, veramente spettacolare. Unica pecca che per penso sia stata sfortuna: la prima pennetta che ho ordinato mi ha dato problemi con la sony alpha5100 ( praticamente si freezzava l’immagine ogni tanto ). Fortunamente con Amazon non ci sono stati problemi e mi stata subito sostituita e non ho piu avuto nessun problema, come al solito professionalit al top. Voto elgato:10 Voto Amazon:20 !

It’s very important your computer meets the requirements including having the USB 3.0 ports, otherwise you may be met with disappointment when trying to set-up.
The set-up for me was extremely simple as my PC (Windows 10) instantly recognised it and installed the drivers required. I installed the ‘4K Capture Utility’ which is available directly on the Elgato website, this allows you to check signal, monitor your microphone, adjust output settings, record video and take screenshots.
When you first connect your camera, you may notice all the information that you see on your camera monitor is also being displayed which most should have within the settings to turn this off, for example:
* Sony A7III: ‘Menu’ – ‘Setup 3’ – ‘HDMI Settings’ – ‘HDMI Info. Display’ – ‘Off’.
The resolution output will depend on what you have selected in-camera and of course the overall quality will depend on your camera/lens setup.
I did find in my experience that the signal will freeze when I was running the 4K Capture Utility software at the same time as Discord, I’m not sure why that was but to resolve that issue I just closed everything down and re-loaded the software I wanted to use at that time and the signal was perfectly fine. For me this is not an issue as I don’t need to use multiple software at the same time, but may indicate a potential flaw in the product/software (could even be related to my PC, hard to tell).
Overall, I am pleased with the results as I am able to use the video & audio straight from my camera to interact with my friends on Discord.
Great tech I believe but slightly buggy software
Have to give this product a slight mark down just due to the elgato software. It sometimes is a little buggy and the feed can freeze but it’s not a very common problem and it’s easy to fix so far. Just annoying and stopping a 5star review

Esta capturadora la estoy utilizando para poder conectar una GoPro Hero 7 Black. Como resultado, me da una imagen clara y ntida, an me falta probar esta capturadora con alguna consola.
Es funktioniert einfach und sieht super aus.
Ich hatte schon Bedenken, dass es kompliziert wre: Installation, Kompatibiltt usw. Habs an meinen Mac angestpselt, an meine Sony A7iii angeschlossen (richtige Kabel bestellen!) und die Kamera wird berall sofort erkannt – Zoom, Skype, GoogleMeet. Hab nicht eine Sekunde mit Treibern oder hnlichem rumeiern mssen.

Le produit est indniablement bon. je l’ai branch sur mon Nikon et mon camscope Canon, les images sont absolument fluides condition d’tre un port USB3. si non, autant acheter un produit 30. Et bien sur, la fluidit est lgrement meilleure sous linux qui gre sans doute mieux les IO USB haut dbit. cela est important quand vous vous en servez pour du live en direct, ce qui est mon cas. bien sur, tout le reste doit suivre: trs bon cable USB3 fourni avec, pour ne pas forcer sur la cam Link, qui risque casser forcer de tirer dessus; trs bon cable HDMI blind et pas trop long; un OS rapide et lger (linux ou UNIX like), trs bon dbit pour du direct.
rapport qualit prix est nanmoins moyen, car cela coute quand mme son prix. voyons d’ici 5 ans si le produit marche encore. mais j’ai confiance. c’est un bon produit.

Se volete utilizzare la vostra fotocamera al posto di una webcam, questo un’acquisto obbligatorio.
Sul mercato ci sono forse soluzioni pi economiche (poche), ma non paragonabili a livello di qualit a questo cam link.
Elgato quando si parla di streaming leader del settore e, consapevoli di questo, i loro prezzi sono sempre molto alti.
La qualit si paga direte voi e non avete tutti i torti, per magari 100 euro sarebbe stato un prezzo pi giusto.

Raggiunge i 4K a 30fps e i 60fps in tutte le altre configurazioni.
La qualit d’immagine impeccabile e non serve alcuna installazione, basta selezionare cam Link nel software di registrazione e siete a posto.
Dispone anche di un led che ne indica il funzionamento (bianco).
Ricordatevi che per i 4K serve anche un cavo Hdmi adatto.
I dispositivi elgato valgono sempre 5 stelle per la qualit e le performance, ma il mio voto si ferma a 4 per il prezzo troppo elevato.

Qualitativ, aber nicht überall
Habe es fr ein Aufnahmesetup bentigt und eine Systemkamera angeschlossen (Canon M50). Kurzgefasst: Wenn es funktioniert, dann funktioniert es gut.
1) Bei meinem Desktop-PC habe ich immer einen Frame gesehen, dann ist das Bild eingefroren. Hngt eventuell mit meinen USB Controller zusammen, trotz USB3. Rein von der Leistung des Rechners sollte da eigentlich kein Problem sein. Schade.
2) Bei meinem Laptop luft es zuverlssig, aber die Systemleistung ist nicht stark genug fr ein flssiges Bild (weder 1080p30, noch 720p30). Der Laptop ist natrlich nur ein Arbeitslaptop mit typischer Office-Leistung.
3) An etwas neueren und leistungsstrkeren Rechnern (Zotac Z-Box und MS Surface Studio) gab es keine Probleme. Bild ist flssig bei 1080p60. Selbst ein 10 Meter USB 3.1 Verlngerungskabel hat keinerlei negativen Auswirkungen.
Die CamLink Software (nicht der Treiber) ist nett, aber eigentlich berflssig. Bild ruckelt dort gelegentlich. An sich egal, wenn man die Kamera als klassische Webcam nutzt oder direkt in OBS ldt. Auch die Microsoft Camera App kommt mit dem Livefeed problemlos zurecht.
Generell also eine Kaufempfehlung, man muss sich den etwas hheren Systemanforderungen bewusst sein. Dabei sollte man auch nicht vergessen, dass neben dem CamLink auch oft weitere Leistungsfresser laufen.
Mit 4K hab ich es mangels 4K Aufnahmegert nicht getestet.
Great Capture Card at a Even better price
These Cam Links from Elgato are Great, I have now bought multiple of these and haven’t had any issues with them at all. We have bought them for streaming and they are great for both Windows and Macs as with both operating systems, you can just plug them in and go. No drivers necessary or bloatware apps to get it working. Just plug it in, plug your HDMI source in and then use your favourite software. I can confirm it works with FaceTime, PhotoBooth, OBS, Livestream Studio 6 from Vimeo, Google Hangouts and Zoom. All in all they are great value for money when compared to the Blackmagic Mini Recorders that only work with Thunderbolt, so to have a device that you can plug into pretty much any modern computer is great, and I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to have a capture card for a camera or computer or whatever you want:)

Das Gert wird mit einer Fuji X100V betrieben. Die Bildqualitt ist hervorragend. Schrfe, Belichtung. Alles ist tiptop.
Die Installation war sehr problemlos, da das Gert unter Win10 automatisch erkannt wird. Auf die individuellen Kamerasettings gehe ich hier nicht ein, da es um den Camlink Adapter geht. Ich war extrem berrascht, wie einfach sich alles einrichten lie. Verwendet werden die Aufnahmen fr Teilnahmen an Videokonferenzen ber MS Teams. Auch hier wird die Kamera sofort erkannt und kann in den Einstellungen ausgewhlt werden.
Ist die Kamera jedoch im Betrieb unter Verwendung der Windows eigenen Kamera App, kann das Signal nicht mehr von der MS Teams Anwendung bernommen werden. Die Kamera App muss geschlossen sein, um das Bild ber Teams zeigen zu knnen.
Ich habe keinen Vergleich zu den 20 Adaptern und hatte mich von positiven Rezensionen leiten lassen. Auerdem handelt es sich bei der Kamera um ein hochwertiges Gert, das auch Aufnahmen in 4k liefern knnte – so ich denn wollte -, sodass ich mich fr die teurere Variante des CamLink entschieden hatte. Die Papalook webcam hat auch schon 75 gekostet und frustrierende Ergebnisse geliefert.
Mit dem Ergebniss des “Projekts” DigiCam als WebCam bin ich sehr zufrieden und empfehle den CamLink 4K Adapter gerne weiter.
Compatible Nikon D500
Permet de passer outre la limitation des 30min d’enregistrement sur la plupart des APN. Test sur mon D500, nickel. J’ai test un enregistrement simultan (c’est possible) par le D500 et mon ordi (Mac), la qualit est strictement identique avec la Cam Link. Ne pas oublier de dsactiver l’extinction auto du monitoring (Rglage perso > Timers > extinction > Illimit) si enreg > 30min. Une option qui est prsente dans le D500 mais ne se trouve pas sur tous les APN, hlas. Attention, a mange de la batterie, j’attends une pseudo-batterie branche sur secteur pour palier au pb, mais je tiens quand mme +2H sur 1 batterie.

Fa quello che dice di fare
Provata con cattura live da GOPRO Hero 7 black e da vecchia videocamera full HD Sony. Dispostivo iMAC, cattura perfetta carino il software di corredo da scaricare dal sito con i controlli pure dell’audio che entrava da un altra USB dove avevo attaccto un microfono wireless.

It gets heated up within a minute, so it won’t be suitable for long time recording. Always use the provided USB to USB cable to prevent accidentally breaking the device.
It is capable of 4K output, unlike other cheeper devices which supports 4K input and outputs Full HD stream. Although my Nikon D7500 is not there in CamLink’s supported 4K camera list, it works well with D7500. Used the 4K capture utility available for free in CamLink’s website.

Der Elgato Cam Link 4K kommt in einem kleinen Karton mit beigelegtem USB-Verlngerungskabel an. Das Gert im Stick-Design ist sehr leicht und bis auf die Schnittstellen vollstndig aus Kunststoff. Das ca. 30 cm lange USB-Kabel ist sehr steif, macht jedoch einen hochwertigen Eindruck und ist sehr empfehlenswert fr die Verwendung, da der Stick doch rel. gro ist und so beim direkten Anstecken gleich mehrere USB-Anschlsse abdecken kann.
Der Hersteller htte fr den hohen Preis auch gleich ein oder mehrere HDMI-Kabel (1 x HDMI auf Mini-HDMI und 1 x HDMI auf Micro-HDMI) fr den Anschluss an eine Spiegelreflex- oder Systemkamera bzw. einen Camcorder beilegen knnen.
Die Installation ist Plug and Play und das Gert wird von Windows 10 auf Anhieb erkannt und eingebunden. Auch angeschlossene Gerte stehen sofort zur Verfgung.
Ich verwende den Cam Link in Verbindung mit einem lteren Camcorder von Panasonic im Full-HD-Betrieb (4-K wird nicht bentigt) als Webcam und Aufnahmegert. Als Software kommt OBS Studio zum Einsatz oder Skype fr Video-Telefonie. Der Rechner (Notebook) hat einen schnellen intel i5 mit 16 GB RAM und guter Grafik von Nvidia.
Im Vergleich zu der eingebauten Webcam ist die Qualitt des Bildes erwartungsgem deutlich besser. Eine kurze Latenzzeit ist festzustellen, jedoch noch zu verschmerzen. Vielleicht liegt dies auch am rel. langen HDMI-Kabel zum Camcorder. Die Audio-Qualitt ist erwartungsgem durchwachsen aber ich verwende sowieso ein externes Mikrofon. Das Gert erwrmt sich im Betrieb, bleibt aber bisher stets handwarm.
Fazit: Das Gert funktioniert auf Anhieb und einwandfrei aber der Preis dafr ist sehr hoch. Insgesamt wrde ich trotzdem eine Kaufempfehlung geben.

El producto est bien la verdad pero por lo menos en mi caso con una go pro hero 7 black edition tuve que hacer alguna configuracin extra en el OBS para que me la detectase. Creo que deba ser un caso un poco aislado por que a algn amigo no le ha hecho falta configurar nada extra

Ich wollte eine Canon EOS R als Webcam verwenden, um meinen Videos einen “professionelleren” Look zu verleihen und mit offener Blende einen unscharfen Hintergrund zu erzeugen. Der Cam Link funktioniert am iMac hervorragend mit Plug & Play. Alle Programme haben umgehend die Kamera erkannt.
Ich war erst zurckhaltend bei dem Preis, kann aber sagen, das Ergebnis rechtfertigt diesen.

Versatilità impareggiabile
Esistono ormai diverse chiavette di acquisizione 4k HDMI to USB, questa forse una delle prime e come tutte le cose elgato, costruttivamente molto curata. Estremamente versatile vi permette di usare una qualsiasi fonte HDMI emulando l’uscita video di una webcam.
Io la utilizzo per fare capturing da una Nintendo Switch, catturando il video su OBS e funziona pi che egregiamente.
Elgato ormai l’Apple degli streamer, ma innegabilmennte uso e installazione sono super semplici e la qualit percepita alta.

you need to install the capture software from elgato restart your system and its ready to go plug and play this is much Sharper more accurate then the cheap hdmi capture cards which I have used before.
I like computer detects the card instantly and your able to hotswap hdmi.

I first had troubles connecting and had to buy a few cables to troubleshoot. It didn't like using a regular hdmi with an adaptor for the camera side. If you have trouble connecting, check the compatable camera's list and also replace your cable to be one that can support 4k and 1080 P and has been rated well for gopro or which ever camera you are using. The cable is the most common reason for connection failure. Cam link max resolution is 1080p, which is not as good as my camera's best resolution but its not bad. I would recomend this as a good purchase. Just beware, you could be frustrated in the beginning figuring out the cable issue if your camlink isn't connecting right off the bat. Quality of cable is the key to this working.

Se si alla ricerca di una scheda di acquisizione di qualit ad un prezzo non troppo elevato questa elgato il prodotto giusto.
Come si pu notare dalle immagini si tratta di una “pennetta” USB A (l’aggancio USB standard) con una presa HDMI sul retro, il prodotto nasce per l’acquisizione dell’immagine da fonti come una fotocamera o videocamera digitale qualora si voglia utilizzare come webcam per videochiamate ma soprattutto per live in streaming come Twitch (Sul sito della elgato inoltre possibile controllare se la propria camera permette l’uscita HDMI clean ovvero che sia possibile visualizzare l’immagine presa dalla videocamera senza i vari men”.
un prodotto plug and play ma volendo possibile anche scaricare il suo software.

Avendo un ingresso HDMI comunque possibile importare un segnale dalle varie console ad esempio anche se ci sar un minimo ritardo ma nulla di cos fastidioso.

Gute Qualität, keine Treiberprobleme!
Nachdem ich ein paar dieser HDMI Konverter getestet habe, bin ich mit dem CamLink 4k sehr zufrieden. Ich habe mittlerweile 2 davon. Funktioniert auf Mac genauso problemlos wie auf Windows. Zoom und OBS erkennen das Signal und knnen es ohne groartige extra-Treiber gleich verarbeiten. Qualitt ist auch top. Fr mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Also was soll man zum Cam Link schreiben. Ich bin einfach nur begeistert. Top Bildbertragung, super satte Farben (besser als bei anderen Capturekarten). Ich nutze ihn regelm. fr meine Streams. Bereue die Anschaffung in keiner Sekunde.
Si buscas la manera de capturar el video de tu cmara DSLR o mirrorles con la mejor calidad posible en 4K para tus streamings o en general para tus videoconferencias, este producto es la nica solucin prctica y asequible.
Encontrars opciones ms baratas que tambin hacen la misma funcin. Pero una vez que las comparas con este producto te das cuenta rpidamente el porqu de la diferencia de precio.
Es una buena inversin si requieres una capturadora de video para tu cmara.
I first purchased one of the cheaper USB capture devices sold here (Foscomax) which worked well on my desktop but on my Asus Zephyrus laptop it had constant flickering. Habe den Camlink fr die Nutzung zum DJ-Livestream gekauft. Damit lie sich ohne Probleme eine Actioncam anschlieen auch ohne Programm. Streamlabs hat den Adapter auch sofort erkannt.
Wirklich tolle Funktion! Der Preis ist zwar hoch, aber es tut genau was es soll – externe Kameras als Webcams erkennen. Und somit lassen diese sich in Programmen wir Streamlabs oder scheinbar auch Skype nutzen. Super!
Works straight out of the box.
Every now and again you find something that does the job straight out of the box and this Elgato CamLink is one of them. No fuss, just works. I’m using this with OBS software on an Apple MacBook Pro.

Il prodotto funzionava a met, potevo sentire l’audio e vedere la risoluzione impostata, ma c’era solo uno schermo nero. Dopo vari accertamenti sono arrivato alla conclusione che il prodotto ricevuto risultava difettato cos l’ho restituito. Ho ricevuto oggi un altro Elgato Cam Link comprato direttamente dal sito ufficiale di Elgato e per il momento sembra funzionare tutto senza problemi.
Le quattro stelle sono per l’assistenza che si dimostrata (come sempre) di grande competenza, molto cordiali e disponibili.
In ogni caso consiglio ugualmente il prodotto venduto qui su Amazon perch l’errore non dovuto al venditore (ossia Amazon), ma al prodotto stesso che con grande probabilit si trattato di un difetto di fabbrica, pu capitare, del tutto normale.

If you are a Mac userr and want to use your DSLR as a webcam, you unfortunately have to use one of these devices. Expensive but does the job well. Make sure you have the right cable between the device and your camera. Perfect for use with Zoom on a Mac.

Perfekt für Videokonferenze
Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Lsung um meine HD Handycam als Kamera fr Videokonferenzen einzusetzen. Meine alte Lsung war eine Cam am Firewireanschlu. Der Elgato ist zwar teurer als die vielen Billigangebote im Markt, aber Treiber und Hardware funktionieren sehr gut zusammen und erzeugen ein gutes Bild.

I had to re order a new one because the first one i bought was defective I tried to fix the audio and nothing wouldn’t work what i would normally do with recording devices, so i am glad that the second order has no issues at all 🙂
I love this so much 😀 it doesn’t lag what so ever when you stream live or record your videos to upload , the only two down sides is that they give you a cheap 3.0 USB cord but luckily my PC has a 3.0 port for it to support the device and also for the Elgato game capture HD I wish they had the features for to see your viewers and their messages in the program. hoping Elgato can add that feature in the future with their program. Not using OBS and streamlabs anymore because I also tend to have lagging with I use thoughs programs. with the Elgato program I don’t get a any issues 🙂

Neither of my cameras which output clean HDMI are on the list of supported cameras but as expected it works with both of them. Note Olympus OMD E-M10 II does not put out sound over HDMI – was head scratching for a bit on that one.
Maybe a bit pricey for what it is but overall just does what is is supposed to
Easy to use & works consistently as expected
After wasting a lot of time & money trying to find the right HDMI encoders that will work with DSLR’s & Camcorders, each one has their issues, this one just works straight out of the box. It works well with my Nikon D7200.
The video feed was acknowledged by all video conference apps like Zoom, Google Meet, Skype where the inbuilt webcam of my laptop was replaced by the DSLR video feed at native resolution of the camera (720p 60fps & 1080p 30fps). It can go upto 4K resolution at 30 fps but I don’t have the equipment to test it. It also works with video streaming apps like OBS. Elgato’s software can be used to do live game streaming as well from your Windows / MacOS machine.
Youtube videos were very useful to convince me this was the right device to do the job. Basically any camera with an HDMI output (mini HDMI / Micro HDMI to HDMI) can be used with this simple encoder to make it more useful.
Most reliable video capture device
Connects the video camera to your computer very easily without hassles. It does not need any drivers to install.
I had bought an earlier video capture device which I battled with for several weeks and made no progress. So the Cam Link video capture came as a big relief. The only reason why I have not rated it 100% is that there is delay in the transmitted video and the video suffers from some bit of time lag. Otherwise it is a very good investment for the price.

Das Original! Nachdem ich Angesichts der Pandemie bedingten Preistreiberei bei Webcams und Capture-Devices erst auf einen Chinabller ausgewichen bin, bin ich jetzt doch bei Elgato gelandet.
Ich hatte Glck und habe das Camlink 4K direkt von Amazon zu einem halbwegs normalen Preis bekommen.
Camlink selbst macht was es soll und zwar in sehr guter Qualitt. Sowohl OBS wie auch Teams oder Zoom nehmen das Signal ohne Murren und in bester Qualitt. Genutzt wird die Camlink bei mir mit einer Nikon D750 und 1080p60
Von daher… ich wrde das Teil wiederholen und keine Experimente mehr mit anderen noNames mehr…

occasionally freezes, but it’s likely because the GoPro isn’t meant for long streams.
works again when u de-activate and reactivate in SLOBS , even in the middle of the stream live.

Wie Ihr auf dem Bild erkennen knnt habe ich gleich 2 Elgato Cam Link 4K an meinem PC angeschlossen.
So benutze ich eine Spiegelreflexkamera die Canon 750D fr meine FaceCam in den Videos
und eine Spiegelreflexkamera die Canon 80D fr den IRL-Livestream.
Mit dem Stick bekommt ihr schnere Bildqualitt und die Kameras knnt ihr hin und her schalten.
Ich benutze dafr das Stream-Deck. Knnt ihr aber natrlich auch manuell ber z.b. OBS machen.

-Leicht zu installieren
Ich kann die Elgato Cam Link 4K-Sticks also wrmstens weiterempfehlen.

Elgato ist fr Video/Stream spezialisiert und genau das merkt man. Kamera Bild hat eine sehr hohe Qualitt. Wird sofort erkannt der Stick und kann ohne Probleme in OBS eingebunden werden. Preis finde ich dennoch bisschen bertrieben!
Più di quello che mi aspettavo
Devo dire che sono rimasto sorpreso : l’avevo presa solo per la mia Nikon D3400 ma ho scoperto che prende anche il flusso video della mia action cam Apeman A77 e vi assicuro che non era scontato, nonostante ci siano molti pareri discordanti in rete. La qualit assoluta, ottima fattura, Elgato leader in questo genere di dispositivi.

La verdad es que a lo largo de todo el confinamiento le he dado un gran uso! Es muy fcil de utilizar y le da a tus emisiones otro nivel al poder utilizar tu cmara. Lo cierto es que es una compra totalmente recomendable.

Il software da scaricare assolutamente ok, facile da utilizzare.
Unico neo, tende a scaldarsi un po ma nonostante questo non fa assolutamente una piega.
Il prezzo iniziale mi ha lasciato un po dubbioso, ma ora posso dire di essere pienamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto fatto.
Purchased this for live streaming and zoom calls from my Nikon D850. This worked straight out the box with no fuss.
I downloaded the incorrect app from the Elgato site when I first plugged in, but a call to supprt that was answered in about 2 minutes (ease of getting a person was a welcome surprise) provided the solution. The support rep offered to stay on the line while I downloaded the correct app and tried it, but I decided that it was not necessary and that I would call again if I needed any more assistance. Getting the correct software did the trick.
Great product that does exactly what I needed.
